Love that. My personal take when I became an adult with a real job was "Money doesn't *guarantee* happiness" because it can definitely buy happiness if you spend it right. The average person won't be happy if he suddenly becomes rich and buys a bunch of nice cars, but a car enthusiast would sure as hell be happy in the same scenario.

Money DOES make you happy, but to an extent. Period. After your basic necessities are covered, it doesn't really improve your general wellbeing or happiness. After that there's just small moments of euphoria when you see a big no in your account, that's it. Other than that, it depends on your self esteem, relationships, work satisfaction and other factors that can improve your happiness. My two cents.
