    Doug, one step you overlooked, when you start the outboard engine, VERIFY that coolent water is coming out before taking off. It doesn'ttake long to ruin the impeller.

    • @garrittpwl

      Typically its a matter of seconds. If water isn't coming out and you notice its not, and shut off the engine, the impeller is likely already damaged.

    I've watched all videos I think since the folding of the hull for a few reasons.
    1- the ingenuity to solve problems.
    2- the explanation on how things can be done or how they work.

  • @dalltm
    @dalltm Год назад +4

    Your vids are awesome! On your "shitty"part of the brief. After 7 years of living aboard cruising (we are currently in New Caledonia) we collect the toilet paper in a small trash can and dispose of in the trash or out at sea and have never had 1 problem with our pump head and our electric head. As far as smell goes, after flushing with salt water your head will smell, guaranteed no mater how much cleaner you flush down. We plumb our sink drains into a small holding tank and use the sink waste water to flush the head, recycling. Bleach and the inside parts of your Jabsco head do not work well together over the long run ( attacks the rubber parts). Vinegar poured into the head once a week and let sit for 30-60 minutes then flushed cleaning the head naturally, then follow up by flushing a cap full of cooking oil to lubricate all the plastic and rubber parts in the head. I look forward to every post!, Tom

    Too many people don't use the "Safety kill cord" . It could save your life. One Cruiser was ran over by the Dingy,Very Bad.
