  • Hi and welcome to my channel. In this video I’m comparing the new Tudor Black Bay 54 with the Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 300 38mm. I own both of these watches and thought it would be cool to look at them side by side. I also show them on different straps (towards the end of the video) and I even demonstrate the differences in how easy/hard it is to remove the bracelets. I’m very close to 1k subs now and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has subscribed! Here are my social media links…

    If you want a watch you buy CW, if you care about the brand you buy Tudor. They are both good watches. Design wise I like TAG Heuer Aquaracer better than these two watches but it’s even more off a ripoff than Tudor. That’s the problem with CW. Once you have one you just feel as a sucker paying 300% premium for another brand name.

    • @Time_and_time_again

      Enjoyed a tag aquaracer myself at one point. 41mm still wears well on my 6.25” wrist due to the design 🙏👍

      Totally agree on CW. I’ve had 5 of their watches now dating back to 2016. Their quality continues to improve to the point it’s hard to justify buying something like a Tudor or Oris because you know you’re paying an extra $1-3k for the brand.

    I have two of the CW's one black, one white and I love both of them, they are absolutely excellent watches.

    This is literally the exact video I've been looking for. I've trying to decide between these.
    The CW just doesn't have the same character I think but has better measurements and value prop.
    We have the same wrist size

    Tudor looks amazing on that strap. I just got mine in a couple days ago and it hasn’t left my wrist and the only time it will will be to experiment with straps

    Great vid. It really showcases what a genuine pain in the ass it is to switch out bracelets on a non-quick-release model. I personally like the aesthetics of the BB54 much more than the CW, but then again, I love vintage vibes when it comes to divers. The BB54 is the best product to roll off the Tudor line in many years. The CW really does nothing for me, but then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

      Thank you! Yes I'm loving the 54 and it's vintage vibes. Also loving the modern look of the CW. Think there's room for both 😊👍

    Both are Strap monsters. Have watched video a few times to pick a favorite. I do wish CW would release their COSC movements as an option on more non bronze watches

    If I knew nothing about watches I would say the Christopher Ward was the more expensive watch. It looks like it would cost more to make although both of those watch cases are made in the same factory apparently 🤔 Tudor are churning out models so quickly now the new releases go from hard to get to EBay in a matter of months now and the quality issues are mounting up too. The METAS Black Bay 58 can’t far off and then that will be the next best thing until the next black bay comes out. Those two definitely fit you perfectly Alan 👌🏼

    • @Time_and_time_again
      @Time_and_time_again  Год назад

      Yes mate I do feel like it’s really hard to justify the price difference in the two as they both feel high quality. You’re right about the “hard to get” to appearing on a bay thing too! Actually got mine off eBay and still on a waiting list lol. Cheers for the comments always appreciated 🙏👍

    Great video the Tudor and CW at these sizes are just the right size for my wrist too! To the point where I've decided to pull the trigger and order the CW what make is the strap you have it on at 37:33 ?
    Keep up the great videos I thoroughly enjoy them👍

    Great vid. Kudos for CW with a new, modern design. When you showed the watch side profiles I was simply blown away by the CW curves...Tudor...flat and a bit uninteresting. Also wish they could have eliminated the gilt on the dial opting for silver text a FPS handset. I think the crystal on the CW is considered flat and the Tudor is actually a boxed sapphire. Anyway-great vid and great watches.

    • @Time_and_time_again
      @Time_and_time_again  Год назад

      Thank you! Yes I think you're right about the crystal being boxed actually. Still looks to be a slight dome on it giving nice distortion around the edges I think 👍

    Both watches are lovely. I prefer the CW's case and overall look, but I wouldn't kick the Tudor "out of bed," lol. Not crazy about the faux rivets on the Tudor bracelet. I might have seen a replacement bracelet for the Tudor without the rivets from either Uncle Seiko or Forstner (not sure which). I read that the next gen CW will have a smaller clasp and an applied logo; two improvements that will only enhance an already gorgeous watch. In any event, both look perfect on your wrist. My wrist is about 6.75, and I still will probably be acquiring the 38mm CW soon.

    • @Time_and_time_again

    I am very new to watch collecting, so please can I ask where you got the additional straps from for the CW watch? And do those straps have the quick release feature? Thanks. Dave.

    Hi Alan, a nice comparison. I think the CW is the winner here. I'd considered replacing my Planet Ocean with a BB58 Or BB54, I popped into the local Tudor boutique and I was wearing my CW63 Sealander. I tried the Tudors on but they felt, to me, inferior to my C63, I don't like the polished case sades. Think I may pick up a Trdent like yours sometime.

    • @Time_and_time_again

      Thanks Steve. I can easily see how you would feel like that! I’m still a bit torn and I’m currently sat in costa wearing my trident pro 300. I just think the trident is a bit more versatile at the minute. I can’t work out if I like the vintage look of the 54 or not so I often pick the trident to wear. I’m also starting to miss my pelagos 🙈👍

    I have to say both watchers are nice but that CW in 38mm looks fantastic. I do wish watch companies would get away from shiny bezels. If the CW had a matte bezel, that would be more to my liking.
