Loved the story with Postie Gavin, Samaritan Gavin and Giant Gavin! And that Samaritan Gavin's neighbor was the only motorcycle mechanic in town. Amazing.

It's amazing the people you can meet when you break down, it happened to me a few times.

Thanks for your feedback, mate. Much appreciated. They are great little project bikes for sure. I really enjoyed repurposing mine after I finished the loop of Oz. Love riding it around the local neighbourhood now...always puts a smile on my face.

Great Stuff! Often wondered how things got fixed. How many K's did the bike have onboard before the trip? Anyway really interesting thanks again, Mike

Did you ever think of changing to a smaller rear sprocket to get better top speed or economy ?

great adventure, how did your rear shocks perform, I ordered a pair and they are on the bike now easy fit and great up grade , looking forward to a ride to see them perform , cheers for your help

The VOPO rear shock were perhaps the best mod I made to the bike. They made a huge difference to the handling of the bike and the ride comfort.

How many kilometers/miles before the engine gave up.

It gave up 10,140kms (around 6,300 miles) into the ride, Arik. About 2/3 of the way around.
