Thanks for another awesome vid bro, always love watching your channel. Especially since I fish the same waters as you. Nice to see new things that are effective. Keep pumping them out man! Much appreciated! Tight lines!
Nice to see you out , Dude. The other Macabi lol . Docks bright light @ Jimbo's, Key B . & in between the docked Sailboats . Snooks around there, loves them.
I had a spot this year where I found school of reds and it was non stop catching 20 reds. 3 dozen shrimps and every cast was a red, all 23”-30”. I would even run out and use gulp and keep catching them. I went back 2 weeks later on the same tide at the same time and boom caught 30 reds. These are the days we fisherman’s dream of. Awesome awesome video!
@Devin red fish are very scented driven fish. Would they hit a paddle tail yes but believe me cut bait and shrimp works better. Best thing would be gulp shrimp for artificial!
As always another AWESOME video 👍good to see that our local waters are still thriving after our crappy bout with the red tide, Keep up the great work Brent🤙HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY 🙏🙏🎣
Man, when you're on, you're on! Nice video. When we had all that warm weather to start December i tried the same thing around mangrove island points just north of you. I hooked 4 juvenile barracudas and landed one. Bizarre, but i always see a few in the winter here. Freeze a bunch of ladies and take them offshore for your next grouper trip. I've had a ton of success with them. The grunts will pick at them and then you'll get a nice gag to come in and finish the job 😁. Have a merry Christmas
Excellent video- as always dude! Any tips on finding oyster beds? I'm always in the cockroach bay area down by Ruskin and it seems to all be grass flats. Always catch plenty of trout, rarely redfish. Keep up the good work!
We are catching some big girls up here in the Panhandle right now. Went out 3 days ago and caught 6 Reds on cut catfish the smallest was 31” and the biggest was 38” also got a big black drum that went 42”! Come on up to Apalachicola brotha😎
Rookie questions to anyone - Recently moved to Tampa area from CO - I am a fly fishing guy, leaning inshore spinning. I bought a Bull Bay Medium / Fast action. I like it a lot but feel like the fish I am catching right now don't warrant medium action. In your video's you say Avid Inshore "Light" action rod.... are you meaning "Medium Light" or is it really "Light"? Your rod has way more play in it than mine and I am looking to buy something lighter and wonder if I need to go down all the way to "Light" or "Medium Light"?
Eric if click on the video description above the link is attached to all his gear. Says light action but I’ve seen “med/light” also. St. Croix rods are awesome very light great feel super sensitive.
Shrimp do great but specks diet changes a bit as they are adults to fin fish. Want a big one? Try small croaker or mullet live little ones will leave you alone. Cast net is a must. Even if you buy live shrimp bonus is a few mullet croaker small ladyfish for a big spec or Red
Bro people dont know how good ladyfish is Big keys muttons love fillets slice's grouper more chunks ive even caught yellowtail and cuberas its so oily and nit super bloody like bonita or blufish so sharks are not super attracted to it anymore than thread herring or something like that
Whenever I'm fishing and catch a small ladyfish, I immediately set it out live on a heavy rig. They catch monster fish!

Try out a rattletrap for the ladyfish, they love em.

Big fan and have been trying this kind of fishing.. how long do you usually leave your cut bait out until you decide to recast/move spots?

How can you tell there’s mullet over there? Thanks!

Ladyfish is great - I catch nice size snook on cut lady, once caught a red - a lot of fish will take this bait
nice job. was that incoming or outgoing tide? i usually on have success on incoming.
Started at peak high tide and fished the outgoing
Try using a rattletrap for ladies. That seems to work real well for me
Use the bbk hooks!
Bro people dont know how good ladyfish is Big keys muttons love fillets slice's grouper more chunks ive even caught yellowtail and cuberas its so oily and nit super bloody like bonita or blufish so sharks are not super attracted to it anymore than thread herring or something like that
Yeah, dude how come you're not keeping any?
Ladyfish, good girl, right? Lol
Brent.... u take ppl out for gas money 😉
Please don't grab the rod towards the middle, sure way to break the rod. Amateur stuff!
