Got to see the Dictators in Eugene back in the day when they were touring 'Bloodbrothers'. Talk about getting a musical slap in the face, in a good way, that is. Memorable evening, with Canadian band Max Webster opening for them. Still fresh in my mind all these years later. Also got all those Wipers LP's early on. Had to be a big influence on Nirvana. I have several LP's by a pro wrestler named 'Beauregarde' that has Greg Sage on guitar, before he became a Wiper. I found 3 of those in a thrift store when I lived in Reno.

Interesting about Greg Sage.. and makes sense that you found nice records thrifting here in Reno.. It's always been good picking here. I didn't see many punk rock bands back in the day, but we played several originals in our sets from 1997- 2000. So cool that you got to see The Dictators, and Wipers are a definite favorite ! Thanks

I don't have a huge punk collection but I would like to get more of The Stranglers. I'm kind of partial to The Clash and groups that were melodic with their punk sensibilities. 4th of July was the only X album with Dave Alvin of The Blasters as a member. It is a great title track as well. Welcome back.

If that's a US All Mod Cons it has The Butterfly 🦋 Collector on it. My favorite Jam song. Love that Astros are 12-24 ! Yankees are 25-13. Dodgers swept aside Braves & are strong.

All of my other Jam and Style Council records are original. As far as teams go, I follow The Giants, 49ers, Warriors, Sharks and Nevada Wolfpack. I need to check out Jackpot Records website. You have an amazing record collection, Jt! Great Dead Boys album. Three bangers in a row L7, Green River, and the Sex Pistols. Zen Arcade is my favorite HD title. I just picked up the Billie Joe album; he did a great job with the covers. Love the Bangles. Too many classics to mention. Dead Kennedys, Stooges. Awesome way to start with Bad Religion Jt. Drastic Plastic is a great reissue label & have some pretty sweet sounding records. I would've put Green River in here too. X-Ray Spex, Agent Orange, The Jam...oh yeah. Early Pretty Things is great garage punk. Glad to hear you're digging the Scientists comp. I could just list everything you were showing because it's such a killer selection Jt. Have you seen the Dr Feelgood doco Oil City? I think its called that. Brilliant! Saints!! Husker Du & Minutemen...so amazing! Youth Of America is mind blowing. Love Fugazi. Was lucky enough to see them 4 times. Some of the most amazing gigs I've seen. Saw the Damned last month. I love US X, but I reckon you would love the first two Australian X albums too Jt. That was all killer no filler mate. Cheers...Ben

First off, I will listen to X from Australia. I like that you like Green River fitting in with these records, I was listening to them on the way home..XRay Specs and The Damned were part of my listening today. I feel Mudhoney and Melvins fit in as well. I showed so many records that I neglected my Black Flag, Pixies and Replacements records and many more.. Next time ! I really like The Scientists, I played the A and B side, so far.. and where is my Radio Birdman comp ? I ordered it, and it must be in demand. I feel that older and newer great Australian bands are finally catching on over here more than ever, partly because of the vinyl revival and.. YOU !! Haha.. Thanks, brother

Hey Jt, Nice punk collection, some I don't have but need to investigate. I got a promo of Young Loud and Snotty when I worked at a record store in the 70s. Love L7, Smell the Magic is a great album. I saw L7 with the Melvins in '96 when they were touring for their Hungry for Stink album. Green River rocks! I have their Rehab Doll album, great stuff. I had tickets to see the Sex Pistols, but they broke up before they got to Cleveland. Patti Smith Group's Radio Ethiopia is a great follow up to Horses, I saw them in '76 for that tour and John Cale joined her onstage for a few songs. Love the Pretty Things, they were a big influence on some of the early punk bands. Need to check out the Scientists, fantastic Australian punk. Love that Minutemen album, I think it's their best. Man Jt, so many great albums, Dr. Feelgood, the Saints, Husker Du, The New York Dolls (who I saw in '74 with Kiss as warm up) The Wipers, and the Muffs even! Can't wait to see more of your punk collection Jt, thanks for sharing.

My cousin dated one of the girls in L7 back in the early 90's in LA. He was kind of proud about that. I didn't get to see many punk shows.. We played several original tunes though in Mary Underground ( unavailable ). Back then, I would have enjoyed the Dolls, then go home half way through KISS ! ( Now I like them a lot more than back in the day ). In a couple of months I will show the rest of my punk records. What a show.. Melvins and L7, also to have seen Patti Smith back then is flat-out cool, Michael !
