Same here, i am a ps4 player, but after getting a seris s for a discount, i believe that the quality of it is much better. This has 2 reasona, the XGP has more games and more fun games than psNow, and by how much you can customise and expand it i think it is worth it at all times. The only downside is that you cannot replace the SSD, so that is very annoying
I can't recommend the Xbox Series S enough. It is phenomenal. I was gaming on a launch Xbox One and the XSS is a huge upgrade. It goes well with my 1080p tv. The XSS is so cheap that it is almost a natural step to join Game Pass to keep the bargain going. Microsoft definitely knew what they were doing when developing this console. Highly recommended.
@@AdamReviewsTech The storge problem is a big one , like Controller mistake on ps 5, crazy you cant get your own SSD and run games of them, i got USB 3.2 M.2 SSD Enclosure with 1TB AORUS M.2 SSD, : 5000 read / 4000 Write and 4TB SSD WD its a shame .
The thing is, the people going to the S are likely okay with slightly longer load times for example. Especially if they’re coming from an Xbox One or PS4. So I believe you can get an external SSD and hard drive and save a significant amount of money. At least on Xbox Series, we can use external storage at the moment for next gen games, unlike on PS5. I love my PS5, but I wish it had more options in terms of external storage. I bet we will see it soon.
I appreciate the fact that you can change your mind, without worrying about losing credibility. Being able to revise your opinion is a strength, not a weskness.
I always stress the fact the the review and actually using the product can change your impressions. We all have thoughts on products before they even reach our hands. This is a case where actually being able to use the device changed my perception of it.
I just bought this because waiting for a ps5 was pissing me off. Best decision I made. Girlfriend never heard of halo before so now we can play it with game pass. Super cheap stuff
@@AdamReviewsTech It's wonderful, my girlfriends brother got an email from Sony a week ago saying "you've been selected to purchase a PS5" he asked if we wanted it since he already had one so now we have an xbox and PS5. Was not planning on ever buying both but it worked out great!
The series s is the perfect complement for the ps5. It excels at what the ps5 suffers the most: backwards compatibility and enhancing old games. And to boot, you still can have game pass and the Xbox exclusives. It’s the perfect secondary console and a retrocompatibility beast. With the ps5 and the series s, you really have all the bases covered.
I got mine two weeks ago and was impressed by the build quality, sturdy and small, quiet and blazing fast launching games. Also I think the white robot controller looks better than the regular carbon black
Besides the low power consumption that not a lot of people seems to talk about, I mean I like to be able to play on the series x but that also comes with a higher energy bill
I got my Xbox Series S last week, upgrading from an OG Xbox One. I only really play Call of Duty Cold War, Halo and Forza. It’s absolutely perfect for me. Looks great on my 4K monitor, super compact system and decently fast. Highly recommend!
nice I got an xbox 360 in what 2016 I reckon but sold 2 years after or so because I had a ps4 but I'm excited to switch back to xbox because I'm getting a series s next week or so.
Huge downside is that as of right now, Cold War doesn’t allow 120 FPS on the S. Really bummed out as I wasted money on cod. The whole reason why I waited so long to get Cold War was the fact that I didn’t want to be at a disadvantage playing with 60 against 120
I was hoping to use the s for my competitive gaming and use the ps5 whenever I can finally get one for visual gaming. Has me worried if a lot of games will not allow 120 on the s. Especially apex and future cod games
Finally someone who said in their review that this console is for someone on budget, which is something reviewers who haven't paid a penny for their setups (well they paid for their furniture...) don't seem to understand.
I'm sure some of them do. I at least hope so, since the Series S is about making next gen gaming more accessible. As it is doing so, I believe Microsoft made a console with an underrated gaming experience. Thanks for watching!
That is the “dirty” little secret going into this gen of consoles. MS produced the 2 consoles and really pushed the X because of the power it has. The X needs that power to do 4K@120HZ. The S doesn’t since it’s a 4K@60HZ even if that is upscale. The end result is that they were able to do it at a lower price. The result is a very powerful console the doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. What’s more, I think the word is getting out that all you need is the S provided that you don’t have a major investment in discs. If you do then the X is available (if you can find one). I started converting over to digital media a few years ago, so the S is perfect. In addition, my 1X can still do physical media. The 1X is my backup console for playing games in the bedroom or playing movies, otherwise the S is in the Living Room connected to a 70” TV.
Love the Series S, performance is very impressive and its so quiet I wouldn't know it was even on if I closed my eyes unlike PS4 Pro which is like a jet engine! Definitely recommend it for game pass and fps boost alone.
I have a PS5, and was looking through my digital wish list, discovered that 90% of the games on there, are on GamePass. I kept changing my mind and getting one, then they announced Outriders! I have had the Series S for 2 weeks now, and I have taken the 2TB Hard-drive out of my ps5 to fill with Gamepass games! I haven’t turned my ps5 on since, probably will return for Rachet and Clank! I plan to have my Series S exclusively for game pass
Great review. As a PC user I think it's quite useful to categorize hardware into three categories: casual, high-end and luxury. Most PC gaming media coverage happen in the high-end and luxury department. However, most PC gamers play in the very wide casual category... older graphics cards, older CPUs, 1080p60fps is still very liable, many play on the lower end of that spectrum with integrated graphics at around 30fps (console quality we call it). The issue is that last gen consoles offered the low end of casual gaming... In the light of this the Series S is more of a high end machine, often offering 60fps at 1080p-1440p... with luxury features like HDR, 120Hz etc. It's really a great device for the cost.
I bought the S because X was sold out, but if both were available today I would choose S in e heartbeat. This slick and compact console has a powerful processor, a superb graphics card and a hard drive large enough for my game library. The value you get for this Xbox at $299 is absolutely crazy.
Im getting my series s next week. Its gonna take me about 1 month to beat Gears 5 since i dont play that often and i already have multiple consoles, so storage wont be an issue for me until maybe next year. And by then external storage could be much much cheaper than current prices. I see my PS4/Switch/Series S the perfect combo for my videogame needs.
I feel like the series s loses to the PS5 digital edition. For a 100$ bonus u get MCUH more power then the series s,it comes with the dualsense and can play exclusive. For that price difference, the PS5 is a much better deal
It’s an interesting thought for sure. Because maybe it does and maybe it doesn’t. Depends on preferences such as controller preferences, where your friends play, what games you want to play, and if Game Pass matters to you or not. $100 more can be significant for some people. Don’t get me wrong, I love the PS5, but for certain people the Series S will be better for their money even if it isn’t a better console.
@@lauraokrcinska7398 Microsoft is where you want to be for exclusives. They own just about all the big developers now and are trying to buy even more. They are even having a couple Sony games showing up.
I have a series x and my wife has the series s and I’m more impressed with the series s. Yeah the series x is better, but for the the money the series s is insane and it’s so small and quiet. It’s a perfect budget console. A switch costs more
I’m guessing you are probably not asking me in this instance. But I personally did notice a graphics difference. Yes, like you said, ofc there is a resolution difference. But a decent amount of the games we are seeing currently aren’t ground up games, so they aren’t taking advantage of the full capabilities of Series S and are rather are going more on raw horse power. Because of this, we see certain textures and graphical features like ray tracing being disabled on Series S depending on the game.
@@AdamReviewsTech This is skewed information though. Non-series enhanced games run on the Xbox One S version on the Series S and the Series X version runs on the Xbox One X version. On games that are enhanced there are almost no difference at all other than upscaled 4k vs native
It’s not skewed because we are seeing graphical feature differences between One X and Series X as well. In addition, there are many titles that have shown graphical differences other than resolution as mentioned in this video. These are worth noting since these are the trends we are seeing currently, even if that does change when ground up games for Xbox Series are released.
I got a series s for myself and my daughter to share digital titles and game pass and we love it! The only thing I found with both machines is that out of the box they both had a few scuffs/scratches new. Has anyone else found this with the theirs? Awesome little machine.
I am a pc gamer but decided to try the series s out because I have a standard 1080p 60 fps tv and man is it a good bang for the buck. Nice review man great production quality for a growing channel 👍.
I have an 4tb seagate external hard drive that I bought prior to getting the Series S (My first Microsoft console). Doing a little research and not willing to buy the $220 SSD, I knew this would be the best bet to stretch out my storage until the SSD price comes down and more next gen games are in their line up. I also played it smart and purchased the Xbox one version of Call of duty Cold War knowing that was gonna be a storage killer.. As I expected, I'm playing it right out of the external drive no problem. I was pleasantly surprised to find out as I was playing via game pass to see that optimized games still played from the drive as well as the ability to still use quick resume. It simply speaks to the amazing capabilities of this machine. Very impressed.
I’m so glad you enjoy it, it’s really an excellent device for the price. I think you also made nice decisions in terms of storage. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
@@SlotReelPlayer you're definetly dumb mate. the xbox has superfast channels, so even if you use an external drive with a cable, you will compromise nothing in terms of gameplay performance. only downside is that games will take a minute or two to boot up, which is fine.
@@bjamez007 go for it! I currently use an Xbox one for it but the hardware isn't there to run gamecube or Playstation stuff....the series consoles are a beast from what I seen them do for emulation.
In my 20s I used to play video games alot more than I do now. In my 30s I've dialed gaming back quite a bit and don't consider myself a hardcore gamer anymore. For this generation I am going to be satisfied with 1080p and 60-120fps. The series S is looking like my go-to choice, and I haven't had an Xbox since my 360 because I gamed on a PS4 last generation. The only thing I will explore after getting the series s is whether I should get a 120hz tv or stay with my 60. Since I'm used to 30fps on my PS4 slim a jump to 60 will be a nice increase. I'm unsure of how often a series S will run games above 60, so I still don't know whether or not a higher than 60hz tv/monitor would be worth it. Cheers on a great video!
I definitely understand that. I think you'll enjoy the Series S a lot. It is a tough decision to go for a 60hz or 120hz TV given the price difference. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
The Xbox Series S is such a great video with that monitor and hard drive bundle! 1080p 60fps with raytracing is still great!!! Good to hear everything ran well! Awesome video Adam!!! 😁
I’ve had mine a week and it’s a superb machine. Tiny, fast, quiet and as a PC gamer as well, 60FPS in a lot of games. Way, way better than the Xbox One X I had. With Gamepass and the EA Access cheat, you can get a console and over 100 games for £320.
I just bought one this past Friday through Bestbuy. I get it on Saturday. I currently have an Xbox One S. I want a Series X, but for now, it's too difficult to get. I'm not paying those resale prices.
Just here to say thank you for the great content! Your reviews and perspectives really help. And the fact that you reply to almost every single comment is amazing!
I’m assuming Series S is also good for those that just want to play primarily backwards compatible games? Cuz all I just want is my console to be a nostalgia trip lol
It absolutely is great to play backwards compatible games. I can’t blame you haha, the nostalgia from some of the games I played on it is hard to beat.
That depends on your PC tbh. You'll see a difference from higher end PCs. If you're used to high refresh, the Series S doesn't do it nearly as consistently but does in some games. Loading times and convenience are great though. It should also be even better in the near future. But maybe you'd like Series X more depending on how you want to use it.
@@AdamReviewsTech Thanks for your timely reply! I'm a casual gamer and my pc is not a gaming pc actually. Also,I don't own any physical copies of games, so I guess I would go with series s. P.S. Your videos are cool! Please make more XBOX videos in the future.
I think the dirty little secret is that MS really downplayed the S, I think, in order to sell more Series X consoles. The fact is that 4K TVs recognize the S as a 4K system. Whether its native or upscale, it doesn’t matter. The image on the screen (70” in my case) still looks fantastic! Like you, I was surprised because I (and everyone else) had been led to believe that was ONLY going to be possible on the X. The S was an inferior system and really not worth buying. The truth is that the S is NOT compromised in any way save not doing 4K at 120FPS. Even though the CPU is very slightly slower than on the X, the power of the Zen 2 really comes through as does the "compromised" GPU. RAM on the S seems to be more than adequate for every game I've played. The S is, in short, a small game playing powerhouse. It's made for 4K@60HZ or 1440p@120HZ screens. If you want more than that, then you have to go with the X. I really think MS designed the S for most players since more people have 4K@60HZ screens than 120HZ. Even fewer have 8K@60HZ. The X, while very powerful, is really for hard core gamers who have the screens to take advantage of its capabilities. Both systems are 4K machines however only the X is capable of 4K at the 120 FPS. Since my screen is 60HZ, the S is all I need.
@@beewalk34 Yes! Mine (Hisense)does as well. While it’s still probably upscale 4K, between the upscaling of the S AND the TV, I'm not sure you could really tell the difference between upscale and native. I know I can’t. My games all look good whether on the native 4K XBOX 1X or the S. If I didn’t know which console was playing I couldn’t tell any difference. There are some people who fret about the specs (and I used to be one of them) but I'm getting to the point that it just doesn’t matter. The end result does and the S delivers. In a few days, I'll be able to play MS Flight Simulator on the S. I can’t wait to see what it looks like. I suspect it’s going to look/play great and if so, who needs the X??? I think the smart players are the ones who bought the S!
Great review bro. Started out gaming way back when on an N64, then to GameCube. got my first Sony console when the ps3 dropped and since have gotten every iteration. Even lucky enough to have my hands on a ps5. However I always use to play Halo over my friend’s house and to this day have never owned an XBOX. I think the series S Will be my first XBOX console and tho I mostly intend on it being my halo machine, that game pass makes it super exciting for me to try a lot of 3rd party stuff for such a low cost.
Ordered one today and it‘s already coming tomorrow I’m super excited (im a ps4 player btw) Edit:I have 5€ on my Xbox and want to buy the game pass ultimate for 1€ but it doesn’t let me buy it with 5€ do I still need more than 5€?
Best valued console of all time, no contest. Looks and plays beautifully on my 4k HDR10 TV, games like Day Z run insanely smooth now. Game pass alone is worth it. Can't recommend enough. Enjoy man, I was a ps4 player as well.
Got mine coming before April 15th. I’m not as big of a gamer as I used to be but I upgrade consoles every gen to keep up. The biggest challenge is rebuying all my movies but it’ll be back to where it was soon.
I would say if you have to rebuy all your movies and it costs more than $100, then I would try to get a Series X instead even if you have a Series S coming in. I get you’re not as big of a gamer, but the disc drive on the X is valuable in your case especially. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Nah m8 don't rebuy all your movies look for a base model xbox one or ps4 or ps3 they go for cheap or a portable bluray off Amazon for the pc they're like 70 and they still do blu rays unless your specifically trying to do 4k blu ray then try to get your hands on a xbox one s but not a ps4 pro the later doesn't support 4k video playback via blu ray
Thanks! I was planning on getting a PlayStation 5 but until they become more available and there are more ps5 exclusives my ps4 is still doing a great job. So, my thought was to get a S series this way I can play Xbox exclusives games and maybe at times save a little money for games that are launched directly to game pass. Again thanks for your input, it helped out a lot.
Best valued console of all time, no contest. Looks and plays beautifully on my 4k HDR10 TV, games like Day Z run insanely smooth now. Game pass alone is worth it. Can't recommend enough.
Excellent video, man. I just upgraded to a 4k TV (looking to get a ps5) so I put my old ass 1080p monitor in my bedroom to partner with this. I can't wait to try this little console out.
Nice review. I got the S and I love it. If I had got the x, then to get the features I’d need a higher resolution tv. That’s not really about gameplay then (S runs fast enough), it’s about showing off. I can’t really tell difference 4K and HD anyway. Storage isn’t an issue if you have game pass (never have more than four or five games loaded). Gameplay loading is revolutionary, I’ve had fun just going through Halo masterchief and revisiting gtv (gorgeous of the S).
I got the series s and love it. With the x and ps5 being hard to get I wanted to upgrade from my base ps4. So glad I did I have really enjoyed playing on it and have had a lot of fun. Had some idiots tell me I have wasted my cash and I should not enjoy my sub par machine, it's not next gen and so on. Isn't it funny that my purchase makes them get all pissed off and try to point out how little I know about technology when in reality I knew exactly what I was buying in to. I gauge how much I enjoy something by enjoyment not specs and power.
It really is a very enjoyable device. I think a lot of people, who don’t think they’d enjoy it, actually would like using it. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
XSS true potential lies in the next gen games designed around all the RDNA2 and Directx12U features (Mesh shaders, VRS ect). Not these cross gen games (which are designed more for RAW power). All these efficiency features is what this console was designed around so I guarantee you will see more 1440p/60 games on this console once cross gen goes away.
I absolutely agree in regard to where the true potential is found. I think we’ll see a lot of future games take advantage of the hardware. Thanks for watching and commenting!
thanks man i was worried that i wouldnt be able to use my 2 external hardrives that i bought for my xbox 1 but you showed the back like no other reviewer that ive seen did now i have no doubts about getting it
It is worth noting that next gen games may not be compatible with your external drives. But they can still get use on many of the games now. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I own ps5 and thinking about getting this xbox later in the future, I'm a big fan of wolfenstein series, so if the third one is going to be exclusive for xbox, I have to get series S :D.
@@AdamReviewsTech It's indeed my plan (but the other way around)! I don't have a console since MasterSystem III, more than 20 years ago. I decided to return to games as part of my free time. The Xbox SS did the trick! I bought one and started playing today. So I can play nice games of the previous generation and start slowly with the new one. After that, I'll buy a PS5 pro or something like that.
Got an xbox one s. Need a series s. Hopefully after Christmas for the kiddos looking forward to picking one up and very excited if I can afford it. Newer games I can't really play without the series s or x so thanks for the review much appreciated!

The PS5 was more frustrating than any console I’ve had. series S is the way to go, pick one up and you will love it! My PS5 is collecting dust unfortunately due to how much I’m using the series.
I have a 1080p monitor and I live in India, it packs a lot of value for money here, I always wanted to build a gaming pc under 500 dollars but this console is so much worth for 300$
I’ve been dedicated to PlayStation since ps2, ps3 and ps4. I planned on getting the ps5 but we all know how hard it is to get that console. Ha Just bought the Series S and paired it with the game pass. I’d say it was well worth the purchase.
I play on PC and cloud in general but I'd like something cheap for my TV and the Series S is perfect for Game Pass and streaming apps on TV. nice review
I had the series s but now I,ve upgraded to the x , while the x is obviously better the s is still really good and probably more of a surprise than the x , because you expect more from x with its size and specs , I think the storage is not to bad if it was last gen it would be fine , like on my PS4 I played a couple of games a year , but on the s having gamepass mixed with the quick resume, it made me want to have more games because swapping from 1 to the other is so easy and fast that I find myself playing more games in 1 session.
Been thinking about getting one rather than wait for a Series X. I already have a PS5 but I usually get the other side of the coin too like Microsoft and Nintendo. Then again I want to wait for an Series X to get the full next-gen Xbox experience.....I'm still conflicted.
It’s tough. I would say it depends on how much time you plan to put into Xbox. Because if you’re spending a significant amount of time on Xbox, I would say wait for Series X. But if it’s mostly only to play a couple games and maybe they don’t need to be in the highest settings, then you could just go Series S. Hope this helps!
I’m one of the lucky ones to own both X and S, gotta say the S is a little monster. It’s quieter than a whisper and plays games phenomenally. Definitely recommend it.
Given frame rates are so important to you, it suggest to me that you’ll be able to appreciate the higher end experience of the Series X. So I would probably say yes, but it does depend on the games you’re looking to play.
The series s is a phenomenal machine, you can see a huge difference in graphics and performance speeds. Yes there's no disk drive but who really buys disks these days especially with gamepass offering over 1000 ga.es for free! Storage is the only issue but you can buy a hardrive or storage card for it and it will still end up being cheaper than the series x
The series S is more powerful than the Xbox one X i got the series S on 12-27-20 and the PS5 disc drive on 2-7-21 and it has been the best choice i have made with both consoles a gamer for life
The CPU and SDD certainly helps differentiate it from the One X. I think you made a great decision. Two excellent consoles there. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Agreed im nearly 50 and have had many many consoles (and still do have most of them) from the Atari right up to now, I got the ps5 on launch but grabbed this too and hamd on heart can say its the best value console I've ever bought, its a pure gamepass machine and that's totally fine. Xbox have truly come to the party with all the fps boosts too which has been amazing.
Great video man! I hate having money for things and not be able to get them so I'm still waiting for my PS5 but wanted to get the next gen experience now especially since I'm a gamer who generally buys everything a generation has to offer(yes this is a flex on em thing)! so coming from an OG Xbox One I've had my Series S for almost a month and don't regret it at all plus the download times are hella fast like full games in and hour not a day like it used to be. Don't regret nothing and it feels good to have everything already for my new console because I'm already apart of the Xbox ecosystem. Great pick up for those still getting a PS5 for their main console.
I have a PS5 and Series X in my living room and while I do enjoy them, I was using a Xbox One X in my computer room til I caught a deal on a Series S. I have to say that little machine is fairly impressive for the size it is and the tech stuffed in that little box!
It won't look as good as Series X, but depending on the size of the TV and the games you play, it should look fine. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I made the change over to Xbox series S for this gen and I'm loving it. Perfect little machine and so unbelievably quiet. I'm an xbox guy at heart but the original xbox was a bit crap in power terms enough that I went over to PS4. The exclusives are fine but personally nothing to replace Gears or Halo so this was a great decision for me. Again amazing little machine that I'm pretty sure most people wont regret
I agree, I think most won’t regret getting it as well. It truly is a very nice console for the price. It was interesting to hear your thoughts about coming from a PS4. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I also got an s and went back to xbox for the exact same reasons you did. I do an on getting a ps5 but that will be mid gen when the inevitable slim or pro comes out.
The only thing I’m worried about getting the XSS is that I have never even had a digital only console, so it’s very new to me. I’m only going to be paying for services on the Xbox using gift cards such as Game Pass Ultimate and buying games, so is it an easy process to insert money via gift cards and after that do you only have to click buy to buy stuff without using credit card/information?
Definitely understand. In the past, I was able to do that. But I’m not sure if you have to put any credit card information now since that’s all I’ve done recently. I believe you should be alright, but I’m not certain.
@@AdamReviewsTech Thank you for answering, I’ve got another question. Do you need to have a Microsoft Account to sign in for the first time or can you use your existing one?
I knew this all along. I picked up the Series S as an upgrade to my One X, and while it is not as high in specs as the Series X, I am enjoying it very much. The plan was to buy this as a hold-over until I picked up a Series X, but now I see that won't be necessary as I'm a casual gamer and not a hardcore gamer. I do have a PS4 Pro which I have for a few games, namely GT Sport and SF, but I hardly ever touch that system. World of Tanks looks far better on the Series S than how it looks on the PS4 Pro. So, this little white box is legit, has sufficient power to push games to look great, even beautiful, and play smoothly. I play WOT, and World of Warships without any hiccups. Great video!
You make a good case for the series S. I am a casual gamer. 2021 I mainly play Nintendo Switch. A friend of mine is getting a series S for Christmas. I will buy a digital copy of call of duty vanguard to play on my friends series S. I plan on getting an external SSD to hold the digital games for my friend's series S. As Microsoft and Seagate's custom NVMe SSD card is the only external storage capable of playing Xbox Series X and Series S titles. I don't mind uninstalling the games off the series S and storing the digital games I don't play on the external SSD and install what I do want to play on the internal SSD of the series S.
As an owner of a series S for two months I can honestly say that it’s pretty good. I’m coming from a baseline PS4/2010 era MSI GT 70 so it’s absolutely an upgrade for me on the cheap. If you’re on a budget, it scratches the itch.
So for advice, would you recommend getting a Series S? I have a launch day Xbox one (500GB) and One S digital, not many disc games anymore and those I do have I don't play just collect. Been playing all digital since I got the One S. I don't have a 4K tv and probably won't till they are available like all other tv's at a decent and affordable price. I play between 10-15 hours a week if I'm lucky due to family and work. I would love to get a Series X but they aren't available. I could find a Series S. I only play 3-4 games a year at a time. Plus I’m used to installing and uninstalling games for new ones.
I'm a Playstation guy, but that game pass is so legit I picked up a series s. Totally worth it thus far
Game Pass really is just too good. I hope you continue to enjoy the Series S!
Facts and the things coming out next year is crazy ps fan but I’ve been a Xbox lover since halo and gears released

Great to hear!
Girlfriend had never heard of halo? How did she handle the breakup?
The series s is the perfect complement for the ps5. It excels at what the ps5 suffers the most: backwards compatibility and enhancing old games. And to boot, you still can have game pass and the Xbox exclusives. It’s the perfect secondary console and a retrocompatibility beast. With the ps5 and the series s, you really have all the bases covered.
I absolutely agree. Excellent combo right there. Thanks for watching!

That’s a great point Pepe.
I got my Xbox Series S last week, upgrading from an OG Xbox One. I only really play Call of Duty Cold War, Halo and Forza. It’s absolutely perfect for me. Looks great on my 4K monitor, super compact system and decently fast. Highly recommend!

You should get a 1440p/1080p 144hz monitor and play cod at 120fps. It’s awesome
nice I got an xbox 360 in what 2016 I reckon but sold 2 years after or so because I had a ps4 but I'm excited to switch back to xbox because I'm getting a series s next week or so.
@@Halo9K A rtx 3080 can't maintain 120fps at 4k on AAA graphics intensive games .
Love the Series S, performance is very impressive and its so quiet I wouldn't know it was even on if I closed my eyes unlike PS4 Pro which is like a jet engine! Definitely recommend it for game pass and fps boost alone.
I really enjoy it as well. It has a lot going for it and this is just the beginning. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I can absolutely see this. It’s unbelievable to me how great the games on Game Pass are. I’m glad you enjoy the Series S and thanks for watching!
I definitely agree. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment!
I bought the S because X was sold out, but if both were available today I would choose S in e heartbeat. This slick and compact console has a powerful processor, a superb graphics card and a hard drive large enough for my game library. The value you get for this Xbox at $299 is absolutely crazy.
It is very nice. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I like that combo for sure. I hope you enjoy Gears and the Series S! Thanks for watching 🙏
I feel like the series s loses to the PS5 digital edition. For a 100$ bonus u get MCUH more power then the series s,it comes with the dualsense and can play exclusive. For that price difference, the PS5 is a much better deal
Me too
It’s an interesting thought for sure.

I have a series x and my wife has the series s and I’m more impressed with the series s. Yeah the series x is better, but for the the money the series s is insane and it’s so small and quiet. It’s a perfect budget console. A switch costs more
That’s exactly how I felt too, I was surprised by Series S. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Did you notice any huge graphics differences in your games between Series X and Series S? I know isn't a 4k console.
Finally have one coming Friday.

@@Halo9K My TCL 4K TV recognizes my Series S as a 4k device and my ps4 as a 1080p device
Nice review. I got the S and I love it. If I had got the x, then to get the features I’d need a higher resolution tv. That’s not really about gameplay then (S runs fast enough), it’s about showing off. I can’t really tell difference 4K and HD anyway. Storage isn’t an issue if you have game pass (never have more than four or five games loaded).

I make verbal mistakes all the time. But you knew exactly what I meant so that’s good.
Good review bro ! I am from India. I will buy series s. My tv is 1080p. Will connect it to tv. And enjoy all games with gamepass. 😎
That is a great setup, Game Pass is amazing. Thanks for watching!
I too get confused between control and medium.
My bad for not having the medium gameplay 😂
I think once all of the feature sets in RDNA 2 and the Xbox GDK start being used it will be running most games at 1440p.
That’s what I’m hoping as well. 1440p at 60 FPS would be very nice for many games. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have a 1080p monitor and I live in India, it packs a lot of value for money here, I always wanted to build a gaming pc under 500 dollars but this console is so much worth for 300$
Absolutely. It’s very nice. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
I’ve been dedicated to PlayStation since ps2, ps3 and ps4. I planned on getting the ps5 but we all know how hard it is to get that console. Ha
Just bought the Series S and paired it with the game pass. I’d say it was well worth the purchase.
It is certainly a nice purchase. The PS5 could also be nice to have with it when you are able to get it. Thanks for watching!
How did you get those scars?
I love mine. Hard to believe how capable it is considering it´s size and price, and all nextgen tech is there..
Absolutely, it’s so good. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'd like to think it's a perfectly serviceable console for most gamers on a budget.
It definitely is and many will enjoy it.
I play on PC and cloud in general but I'd like something cheap for my TV and the Series S is perfect for Game Pass and streaming apps on TV. nice review
Absolutely, that’s a great use case for it. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I see where you’re coming from for sure. I was also more surprised by the Series S as well. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks I think I'll wait for now 😁@@AdamReviewsTech
I’m one of the lucky ones to own both X and S, gotta say the S is a little monster. It’s quieter than a whisper and plays games phenomenally. Definitely recommend it.
It’s definitely a solid console. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I just got mine 3 days ago lol so far so good
That's great to hear!
Is it worth it to get the X? I was going to buy one. 120 fps is the most important thing for me
Given frame rates are so important to you, it suggest to me that you’ll be able to appreciate the higher end experience of the Series X. So I would probably say yes, but it does depend on the games you’re looking to play.
I’ve had a Series S since November 2021 and it’s a beast!
I’ve had absolutely no problems with it in the 6 months I’ve had it for
So glad to hear! It’s a great console
I definitely agree, the Series S is awesome. Thanks for watching!

@@doh4828 ?
DOH! is just saying Game Pass isn’t free.
Same here i was patient in waiting for the ps5 to ne available but i ran out of patience...bought this console, enjoying it immensly
This seems to be a common theme. I’m very glad you like it and thanks for watching!
Might buy one today, I'm watching as many videos on it as possible to help reach my conclusion...
Absolutely. It’s good to get a sense from as many people as possible. Best of luck making a decision!
Amazing console. Not in performance, but value? Probably (in my opinion, not trying to start a console wars) the best console of this gen
It’s a very solid console overall. I enjoyed it a lot. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
You’ll love the combo of PS5 and Series S. I hope you’re able to get a PS5 soon. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I have a PS5 and Series X in my living room and while I do enjoy them, I was using a Xbox One X in my computer room til I caught a deal on a Series S. I have to say that little machine is fairly impressive for the size it is and the tech stuffed in that little box!
I definitely agree with that. I appreciate you watching!
I’m still looking for ps5 for months how do you have all those consoles 😂😭
@@valkyrestudios416 stalking all the major retailers sites. Series X I got from GameStop, Series S and PS5 from Best Buy
I actually have a guide on the channel to help!
I really want a XBSS, but im worried because I play on my 4K HDR tv, do you think this look good enough for a 4K TV?
That makes a lot of sense. I’m excited to see the future models of PS5.
Or just entering a digital code for the Game Pass Ultimate that you can buy from stores.
You don’t need to create a new Microsoft account if you already have one.
Got my wife the Series S and she’s playing super luckys tail at 120FPS
Awesome to hear!
Very nice presentation of the Series S, brief but great details and info. Top class video!
I appreciate that! Thank you so much for watching 😁

Thank you for watching 🙏
so wait does the Series S get 120fps or 60fps? mainly for fortnite cuz that’s where i notice frame drops a lot.
I noticed a pretty consistent 120 FPS in Fortnite at 1080p. Hope this helps!
Xbox: Look at how small I am
Gamers: It’s amazingly small, how does it even work?
Apple Mini: 😑
It’s really compact and solid overall. Thanks for watching and commenting!
What monitor do you use? I'm gonna get an XBox series S since I only have a switch right now, so I'm curious as I'm not sure which one I should get.
Mine isn't the best since it went back up to it's normal price. But try to get a decent 1080p 144hz monitor for around $165.
Xbox will lead the future in gaming...💯✔
I’m glad to see the moves they’re making. Thanks for watching!
Definitely can see where you’re coming from. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@AdamReviewsTech I forgot to mention that fast, unlimited, internet speed is vital to ANY system!
Zeke advertising the Series S. 🤔 You won’t fool us, you have put your spinal fluid in the Series S to transform us to Titans!
😂😂😂 I still need to watch AOT. But my friends love it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I definitely understand that. So Series S could very well be a solid option for you. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
As an owner of a series S for two months I can honestly say that it’s pretty good. I’m coming from a baseline PS4/2010 era MSI GT 70 so it’s absolutely an upgrade for me on the cheap.
If you’re on a budget, it scratches the itch.
Absolutely. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I bought a series S. Also sprung for the 144hz monitor. Can't beat the price and availability right now. Definitely happy with my purchase.
That is awesome to hear! Hope you enjoy it, I’m sure you will 😁
So for advice, would you recommend getting a Series S? I have a launch day Xbox one (500GB) and One S digital, not many disc games anymore and those I do have I don't play just collect. Been playing all digital since I got the One S. I don't have a 4K tv and probably won't till they are available like all other tv's at a decent and affordable price. I play between 10-15 hours a week if I'm lucky due to family and work. I would love to get a Series X but they aren't available. I could find a Series S. I only play 3-4 games a year at a time. Plus I’m used to installing and uninstalling games for new ones.
I think the Series S would definitely be a solid option for you based on this info. It’s will still be a good upgrade. Hope this helps!
