Thank the man upstairs. Finally a review on the Slayer without surfer talk, dude bro, let's go! Holy cow I can't take it listening to that guy! Thank you Sir!!!!!
Did a direct swap into the basic Slayer with a modded scx I bought second hand that did not perform well, even with my best efforts. It is the best rig I have. It's crazy! Just get one! Now this has convinced me to swap my fully modded fcx24, which does decent, but performance is definitely maxed out. Can't wait!
When drilling out the link balls. I run the drill up much higher and then plunge hard. Be sure you grab the pliers. If anyone needs this done, I can do it. No problem. I’ll make a note in a video and on etsy.
Wow love that steering link add the weights yeah I have one of Josh his basic slayer just been gathering parts I have axle housings just needed inside parts just waiting on some gears
Man, that rear end, with those long shocks, raises up like a scorpion tail when it unloads. But it does seem to stay planted. I wonder if having the shocks laying down more like that helps keep or delays the rear unloading when going down hill? So much unique stuff to gawk at with that kit. Great stuff!
Yeah let’s go sleigh, 👍👍😎 it looks bad to the bone dude, just ordered transmission and his new nano beast For my slayer one of the last things I had to get for it then I can start putting my basic slayer together cool
I have a product coming one of these days. One of a kind idea that I invented, it is a super easy adjustable limiting strap, maybe you can check it out some time.
@@2fmrc so pumped to finally see this video Matt you have no idea! Josh told me he sent one out to you and I lost my mind Lmao also that intro SLAYED🤙🏻🤙🏻 pumped to see more content!
Haha! Yeah it really is. I still kinda prefer somewhat of a body but think these have their place also and they definitely perform amazing. He actually makes everything needed to mount bodies to the slayer chassis as well.
@@2fmrc Oh. I thought the "body" was the chassis (like the Injora rock buggy). I've seen that. I have seen most of his stuff. I'm not bad-mouthing it. I find it impressive. (Thumping my forehead with my palm) the bodies slip over this as is, right?
@@shockman8014 Sure, you can go over the cage. I’ve done that. Looks kinda cool under the body. It also has just simple mag mounts but if you’re not running a slammed belly, you’ll have to get a little creative or at least do what I do and make it custom. I’ll show that off soon and maybe Matt will build us one. This is not a scale rig. It’s for tricks.
This is built too well. This is a double edge sword moment for me. It performs so well, it takes away a lot of the challenge. Which in turn takes away some fun. But that about the only con I see which really isn't a con in the big picture.
This is true! If you don’t have the rocks to play on, it gets boring! No doubt. But then again, it makes it more fun to come back and scale that ish! Also, I just started running over things I would have never thought about and putting it in situations that seem impossible. That’s what it’s really for! It’s for tricks. If your buddy doesn’t have one, though, again, it may not be real fun after you slay him too many times. Lol. Just being honest. I often pick lesser rigs and put buddies in better. I drive all the time and they don’t. Makes them feel good that they can clear the obstacle and makes it more fun and challenging for me! lol.
As a fellow Slayer owner/driver, I can agree the design and thought that has gone into the design is incredible! Yes it flattens most everything in its path but this doesn't make it less fun, it just means your looking for a whole new set of lines and challenges!

Amazing intro. Looked like it was hooking up really well but couldn’t see the tires spin with the black wheels.
Aaaaaahahaahahahahaha
I needed that ish, right there. What is up crawler fans…

On the link weights, I use glue also. They will pop out.
Just go slay!!!
Yeah that was awesome
You or a real smart ass lol very smart with the soldering iron to push them in
Trying to build mine now just waiting on a couple peices 👍
Great rig awesome job

Love what josh is doing over there I’m about to get one too🎉
Would you recommend the ball joint trick with the McCue links? THX!
Dang man been killing it !!!!
That was a nice climb

I’m ready when you are!
I at least want to see this thing and give it props. Sounds cool.
YES! RTYF🤙🏻
Yesssss!!!

For this chassis did you have to get separate pieces also or does it all come in one kit
He doesn’t know! I sent too much! lol. You can get it as a kit or just the chassis with skid.
Do you think the nano bam is faster/better than the micro komodo?
Ehhh I’m not impressed with it yet. I’ll have to test wheel speed but for slow crawl my Komodo is better. The smp & mini Komodo is wayyy smoother.
I like the intro!
Thanks! Really appreciate it 🤘
You have to get the steering link with the weights separate
For today. Sorry. I’ll figure out a price on that kit. It’s gonna be a bit higher. But I’ll try to solve that tomorrow.
@@texomarcwhere can I buy this kit and high end axles, etc?
Thank you
As someone into scale model trucks and buggies this seems like a different hobby to me. Robot crawling maybe.
