The link balls will start out moving pretty well but after a few packs will move even better. If a link ball pops off or you notice slop on any plastic link end between the ball and the link, hit it with a lighter for a few seconds and it’ll tighten back up. Don’t even need to remove it from the rig, if you can get to it, just make sure it’s supported and not holding weight because it could stretch. RTYF!!!
Your weight bias left to right can be adjusted with the help of the corner scale. The shock collars need to be adjusted according to the biased weight. It takes a little practice. The corner scale is an awesome tool. Nice build.
i love how you explain what comes in the kit and the components you used. the joke about venom was funny as dude hahah . the bend in the links and angel on that Chassie is awesome an very impressed with the vertical test 😎 new to your channel and can say you're an inspiration
Received my kit today and I am actually probably one of a few who is not really impressed. I was let down by the holes not lining up great . It requires a ton of clean up boring holes out. Then my links came and I can't install because 2 of them have frozen inserts so they can't pivot at all . I waited a month almost so a bit aggravating . It is not going together like i was hoping it would. It's a great design but he needs to make it out of a better material . Higher the building out to a laser cutter company. Then charge the $100 for the chassis if need be .
I have built one my experience is the links broke first run and it took a long time to get things right .they are very capable however, im just using my own links to make it more durable.
Dear Mr.Adam, could you please approach Mr.Ratliff and help him a bit? As you have mentioned before, you're a financial analyst and obviously have the proper skills and knowledge to help him. As we've learnt from his recent video the things are not going easy for his small enterprise. You have a chance to be a kind of Lee Iaccoca in the tough small crawler industry. Thanks!
@@CapeCrawlers It’s a really cool build, don’t get me wrong. But it seemed like the slayer was more….I don’t know..capable? I see he has another run of warthogs, I might hop on that one. If you did one again, would you go scx or trx4m?
I don't think "... way too expensive..." is fair to say if it's not in your budget, or more than you are willing to spend, or whatever. And $800 USD is for the RTR, not the Roller. Lets see what the math says (just a quick, not neccessarily complete, summery) : - Pre-build chassis kit: $130 - RAT'ler wheels: $45 - Tires: $16 (and he's custom cutting these himself) - Meus Iso axles: $90 - MoFo Trans: $45 - MoFo B.L. 2.0 servo: $55 - MoFo Nano BAM + Rock Wolf ESC combo: $135 - Tx + Rx: $37 - Battery: $15 Sub Total: $568 So that leaves $232...... That covers: Building time, glue, fasteners, utility bills, gas, time to and from post office, computer, 3d printer, internet bill, cell phone, time building and running Etsy store, Etsy's cut, time on emails and phone calls, tools, shop furniture, shipping on all the out of house parts, prototyping, hours testing, wasted materials due to printer malfunction, designing the print files, course building, time away from family, stress, financial risk, holding inventory, storing inventory, packaging materials, time packaging, etc, etc, etc, etc......... So, I think "Expensive" is kinda looking like "Inexpensive" or even closer to "So under priced, it's ridiculous" And if you really want to have a good cry, try being in Canada. $1100 CAD + $60CAD deliv. + 13% tax on that + duties/brokerage fees....... and throw in knees pads, Chapstick and a tub of Vaseline...... Hope that helps with some perspective. 🙂👍 Bert the Weldor www.youtube.com/@texomarc www.youtube.com/@CapeCrawlers
Why you bashing another designer? Especially since it wasn't mentioned. Prophet Designs was trying to help Josh, as was I. Love his rigs. No one ever bashed Texoma. Don't need the hate.
Bash no .... statement of superiority YES. .... i have to assume you are familiar with term "hard parking" if so .. my comment will read better. AND.. use the word profit to better understand the wordplay .. PERFORMANCE OVER EVERYTHING

I can’t thank you enough! Great show! You’re awesome!
I bet you’d like it better if you flipped the wheels deep side in.
It’ll crawl better. Wide for tricks, narrow for crawling.

Great work Josh, this thing looks sick!
great work mate 👌
We have our winner! It might be the new best crawler!
Man that thing is beautiful! Everything about it spot on down to the colors.
Love my 2 Slayers, Pro and regular, just so capable.

I run a 100 bb's in each tire, awesome video.
Now thats a good looking rig right there 😊
Ive bought Rock Van parts from Texoma. Good quality.
Insane build, and love the colors!

Looks great. Wonder if you can get rear axle in portal and skinnier in rear for a mullet build
Nice one Adam, I am a big fan of Josh/Texoma RC I am really looking forward to adding one of these to my collection.
Slayers going to slay 🤘Rtyf awesome video and rig line killer🔥🔥🔥😎👍
You know it’s a great crawler when you laugh while crawling it
Cool. I need a slayer as well.
What Exact kit is this? Awesome video!!
What is the diff between the slayer pro and the full send ?
Hi, what type of brass axle housing for a scx24 you recomed? Not a portal, thanks in advance
Put the Injora cling-ons on that puppy! 💯
I think I will this week!
@@CapeCrawlers run it again when you do!
Welp, you got me sold.. Josh, TAKE MY MONEY!!!!! and what do you mean about flipping the wires on the Ovonic batteries???
Josh is so passionate its hard not to like him. He spends so much time refining these designs , they work amazingly
i think your tires are holding you back they look so hard maybe try the comp pins or something softer that can wrap around things and grab
You glossed over the reverse polarity issue on the battery, is that by design?
I have built one my experience is the links broke first run and it took a long time to get things right .they are very capable however, im just using my own links to make it more durable.
The links are a weak point on my first one too. These ones feel much stronger than previous versions
If I was to start from scratch with this, which remote would you recommend. Flysky?
I would recommend the radiomaster mt12

I've been chatting with him on Instagram. It would be terrible for the community if he closed the doors.
Do you think a more grippy tire would help? It didn’t appear to climb like I thought it would
I'm sure it would. I haven't experimented with other tires but Im sure it would help

Cool 🤙
What batteries do you use in your Trx4ms
Stock. If I change out the esc I’ll run the urgenix 450mah
Thanks
Can’t get over the fact that it looks like a toy grade RC from Amazon 😅 Not my cup of tea but I bet it’s still nice!
Lol are you joking?
Hi
Everything else seems good on the site pricewise except for the rollers way too expensive $800 it is 1/24 scale pass all day
Certainly more economical to build it yourself if you’re inclined

Agreed!
