I am 65 years old. I started out at 30 pushups a day and now after 30 days I am up to 80 pushups a day. I also do 100 jumping jacks, 3 one minute planks, 50 leg lifts and 300 arm curls every day no exceptions and I feel great. It is very motivating.

I was going to buy a pair of perfect pushups but, after extensive research I have come to the conclusion that they are far to small to effectively pile clothes on.
The negative comments are from people who are to lazy to get up and make a difference in their lives. Obviously you're motivated and have made some positive changes in your lifestyle and your hard work and dedication has paid off.....congrats man and good for you!
The biggest change is in your face. Really lifted the face muscles. Excellent result. The body results are awesome, but giving your face a little added youth is a pretty good result.
John Smith you know what your on about. It's not were you train its how you train. Money can buy you a gym membership but it can't buy you knowledge. 👍
the problem with doing only pushups for example is you get imbalances like the kyphotic posture you see in the after photo of the thumbnail, since the front of the body is much stronger than the back very important to have proper structural development to avoid problems in the long term, if you can't have the equipment to do everything at home a gym is valuable
@@rihhard1072 yes that's true but some people don't feel comfortable going to the gym it's a start doing a bit at home can help and doing somthing is better then doing nothing.
I don't know why this showed up on my feed but glad it did. Here I am 59 years old and looking for a motivation to start getting in shape again and bam your video showed up on my feed to watch. I am starting this morning after I wake up and also adding ab crunches to it and bicep curls. I am going to see what happens over the next year until I am 60. I'm 6'2" and weighed in at 250 just a few minutes ago. Thanks for your video and keep it up.
"ITs not a huge change" Buddy. I aplaud you for your commitment alone. If you are capable of mentaling your way through this, you proved yourself more than what pushups can give you!
Today, I am seeking inspiration. My friend died after a long battle with cancer this morning. I once heard that the cure for depression is the feeling of awe or wonder. This will be the last video I see before visiting my friend's family. In the video, you say: 'It's about getting stronger and having endurance'... Just what I needed to hear today. Thank you for posting this video. I am now motivated to keep going through this tough time and the tough times ahead.
Well... I mean, if he was chugging down protein powder and hormonal supplements every day, he could look just as massive as many of the other gym apes!
47 here. But I have a pacemaker and thyroid cancer and had my neck fused c3-c7 front and back. Been doing some pushups the past few months. Mostly about 45 or so per day. Well 2 days ago I hit 100 and I did also again today :-)
Definitely motivated me. Single dad here and I said I would stay fit in my 30s since I was pretty bad in my 20s. 2 crazy kids take up most of my time but 100 push-ups a day seems doable and watching you I definitely got motivated to at least start there thanks for the video.
It’s inspired me start doing them more my joints are wrecked from years of heavy lifting and takes forever to recover so I think this is the way to go .
Yeah exactly i have a bad back but with stretching and 100 pushups a day i can feel big and strong and not feel weak because everytime i pick up weights and curl by back goes out no matter what form i use so all i do is push ups. Maybe if i feel up to it in few weeks ill curl some 35s but for me this is the answer
That was a concern for me as I got older with lifting. In my 20s it was all about get as huge as possible and keep pushing up my max.. but you gotta think about how squatting 450 lbs or leg pressing 750 lbs affects your joints and bones. These days I keep the weight levels a lot more reasonable and stay at the same amounts and it works just fine.
I remember working at a lumber mill stacking hardwood. The guys there were strong as hell, doing that everyday for 10 hrs a day. You'd get the occasional piece of 12X12 hardwood that weighed up to 450 lbs. you had to drag onto a pile by yourself while standing in inches of sawdust. Even the light stuff was heavy. You never had rest days so your body would just adapt.
@@gerhardbritz1196 I am on day 17 now and still going, managed to get to 42 without stopping. I feel as though my arms and back are getting bigger, but my wife hasn't noticed yet. lol
I'm a bit older, but I do a set of 25 push ups every day except Sunday (among other light exercises). I used to do 3 sets of 25/day, but found that I'd end up with minor repetitive motion injuries, so I cut back. Having said that, push ups are an easy and awesome exercise. What I really enjoy about doing push ups is they give you a more natural looking physique vs. heavy weights.
I started your challenge 4 days ago, thanks for posting it. I’ve been doing push-ups every other weekday since January but now that I’m doing 100 per day this week, wow! It’s quite a bit tougher but you can feel the additional effort is already making a difference.
I’m 54 and because of stress later I have lost enough weight to start rebuilding lost muscle from age, time, and injury. I also happen to be starting with pushups which is why this video caught my eye. I’m inspired to keep going now. Thanx
Good going!! You can definitely see a difference! Any negative messages are from jealous ppl. I'm 52/female and was looking for inspiring videos to help me lose weight so me & my husband can go on vacation to a sandy relaxing beach next year. Your vid inspired me to never give up....Thank you. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I've just started doing knee pushups everyday. It's been a week now . I can't do a full body pushup right now but already feel confident and motivated that I will also be able to do pushups like you one day .
Respect how you deal with people negativity saying it this video will never get 250k views . Excited to see their reactions watching those views numbers.
Been doing daily pushups going on 5 years next April. Started at 15, it’s kept me active, and I’ve gradually lost a lot of weight as I used it be heavily obese. It’s amazing how hard work and dedication can transform your body in such an amazing way.
Nice that you mentioned bricklayers, I’ve been laying bricks for 40 years now, have always trained either weights, running or martial arts and you’re right the body does adapt, but still needs rest, 👍🏻
I feel like im on the right path and doing what your doing. I was a heavy drinker and also dabbled in cannabis every day and cocaine a few times a month. 94 days sober now and drug free and smashing the press ups and bicep curls in and i feel amazing especially in my mind. Havent seen a massive change in body yet just i dont expect too with me not lifting heavy weights at the gym etc. Thanks for the video its great to know other people have seen the same benefits what I've been seeing
I’ve been doing pushups daily for almost 2 years. Cool to see someone else who understands the benefits of such a simple workout. Edit: subscribed yesterday. Congrats on the success you’ve had on here!
As you said, todays poeple think only "OMG YOU NEED TO MAKE BREAK DAY AFTER DAY FOR A GOOD WORKOUT". But as you said in the video, people who work dont take any break. Work everyday day is another training, we cannot call it "traning for the muscle growth" but instead it is training for POWER - HEALTH and one more time POWER.
i have been doing push ups since September 2018 i started doing like 100 push ups in 10 (im skinny btw) now im doing 75 rn a day and im adding 5 or 10 if i can keep up with it and i got real good body in fitness like abs and my arms and my pecs do it really it feels really good after doing like 50 or 60 push ups in one go. im doing 75 rn pretty proud to get this far thnx to one punch man lmao ill 100 in one go one day
I respect your thoughts about pushups, I have been doing 1000 pushups every day for six months with out rest for even a day, and now am doing two thousands of pushups every day for more than a month now believe me ,if you can help me to prove me right. I am ready to tell all the experience I am going through as it has become a routine for me now.
I am fairly new to your channel and I have watched most of your videos. I just turned 50 and you have inspired me. I work in an office so I am currently doing the ‘modified’ pushups on my knees until I can do regular pushups, but my goal is once I can do 100 regular pushups a day to take your 30 day challenge. Thank you for the inspiration and keep making great videos.
I'm doing about 150 press-ups 5 days a weeks and have been increasingly steadily for the last six months. I feel the same as you... things just get easier...
You are one of those - and the first one - that encouraged me in doing pushups and setting a target per set and in total. After a couple of months, when it was hard doing 20 pushups in a set and 100 in total/day, I have now reached a goal of 60 pushups in (at least) one set and 200 in total per day. As for today, I´m proud to say that I have been able to do my 200 pushups in 4 sets (60+60+50+30) within 35 minutes and has strength to do more of them, but I am now thinking of doing more advanced variants to increase my strength as well as my stamina. Fun fact: I hated doing pushups a year ago, now it´s a challenge in doing more with less time between sets and going further to more advanced variants. Thank you for your encouraging video!
When I was active duty military, I had heard about Herschel Walker’s push-up regimen. I was doing a lot of pushups then. 25 years later not so much but you’ve inspired me to start again. Thanks for the vid!
I used to do a 1000 a day when I was on active duty - it never bothered me. It helps with endurance. And not 1000 at a time. The goal was 50 or 100 per set as often as possible. Worked well when PT Tests came due.
Almost 7 years ago I challenged myself to do 200 push-ups every day for a year...well that year came and went and I did my 200 pushups every day, no matter how I felt and the results were great and I decided to just go ahead and keep it up and now, almost 7 years later I’m still doing 200 pushups everyday, haven’t missed one day, and it’s just became a part of my life at this point. Next I’d like to either up it to 400 per day for 3 months or start a pull up challenge of some sort or a 200 biceps curls every day for a month challenge and see what happens! Your body adapts to what you challenge it with, the greater the challenge the greater the adaptation. Very cool to run across your video, I hope all is well and thanks for posting!
I am embarking on a 100 pushup adventure. I am 60 years old and had been doing 100 push ups before the pandemic. I have never seen those push up handles things you have there, having said that I doubt I could find them here in Jakarta, Indonesia. Thanks for posting your video, it gives us all a little boost to see it is possible.. Thanks, and Have a great day!
2 kids and 35 lbs.heavier and I just turned 47. This video came along at just the right time. I was doing crossfit, Insanity and I've studied martial arts for a time. BUT then I stopped. : ( I'm going back to the shed and shred. 100 push ups a day for 30 days. Thx for the challenge.
So far in 2020 I've done 53,080 pushups! It's been tough, but my original goal was to hit 10,000 so I've definitely passed that already. I have 21 days left in 2020 and I'm trying to hit 60k.
@@buddahkz9980the years over now. But I was doing about 230 everyday for awhile. Then in December I did over 300 everyday cause I slacked at the beginning of the year. In total last year I did 61,100 pushups.
Have started my 30 day pushup challenge and I have noticed a difference already after 7 days. Your video has inspired me and I am feeling stronger. Many thanks 👍
I did pushups nearly every day in winter for years. Usually started November 1 and discontinued April 30. I was able to do as many pushups in a row as my age until age 67. Ankle replacement and major surgeries set me back for 4 years. I am now 71 years old and can do 43 in a row pushing for 71 before the end of May. 😃
I tried this 10 yrs ago. Used the paddles in my office, had no time for anything else. Got up to 200 a day and it works. Doing it again after corona lock down, with pull ups and body squats. Simple is better. Not going back to gym.
Your 100 Pushups daily for 30 days video indeed motivated me to do the same. I'm just getting started but feel like I'm making improvements already. Chest and shoulder have always been my absolute weak points and I'm trying to improve on that and carry on with more workouts for the whole body as soon as the 30 days are over. Thanks a lot and take care
I do that to but 10 at a time I can easily do 100 straight but I feel like just 10 perfect 100 percent correct push up will give you much better results in the long run
@@mikepaulsen4449 Yes, 5 minutes. 1 pushup every 2 seconds. 100 pushups in 200 seconds or 3 minutes 20 seconds. I've proved it to myself. I'm only considering the time spent exercising, not any rest period in between sets.
Great job mate. I changed my lifestyle in March this year after my 46th birthday. Went plant based and started working out. I lost 26lbs of fat, and developed a lot of strength in doing so. Like yourself it wasn't about "body sculpting" for me, it was about energy and strength. But having said that, my body now looks a lot better than it did for most of my adult life - and I feel so much fitter. If I had any advice to anyone who wanted to start this, I would tell them "don't even think about doing it - just start doing it!" - I've found the journey quite easy in that I've had no motivational issues, mainly because I don't think about doing it. If I only have 15 minutes one day then so be it. If I have 2 hours to exercise then great! How long as I do something every day (rest days excluding) I'm good. So yeah. Awesome seeing guys like you on the same path.
Started in April during COVID19 with the 30 day 100 pushups after seeing your video,I feel way better and i have continued 100 everyday ,its tough but its worth it thanx man.All the way from Windhoek Namibia Africa.
Thanks for sharing the challenge. I also went hard for 30 days found great success & gain. Stopped for a couple of months and now back at it. Today I am doing 150 pushups a day & feel fantastic, overall upper body and core strength is as good now at 54 as it was at 21.
People would ALWAYS tell me to not work out everyday n take breaks. I do them every single day and you're 100% right, you'll get way more strength n endurance
@BL I agree. If I lifted weights I would but you don't need to with calisthenics. Every once in a while I'll do an extremely long and intense calisthenic workout to the point where I wake up the next day and I'm so sore it's hard to lift my arms. In these situations I'll take a day off or just work a different muscle group
After watching your video, I challenged a group of buddies to do it with me. A total of five of us are doing the 100 pushups a day challenge. After day 15, I lost 5lbs, gained 3/4 inch on both biceps, gained 2 inches on my chest, lost 3 inches around my belly! Can’t wait to see what day 30 has in store for me and my buddies!
I started after seeing your video. I'm on my second 30 day challenge. The 1st 30 days was wide grip. Ow I'm doing narrow grip. You may have actually changed my life. Time will tell, but I may owe you a debt I could never repay. Thank you.
Respect man. And actually, you grew a lot. The first stage when you start training strength is always the period you'll get the most gains. But you look more defined and more muscular overall, which is the result when you train for strength/endurance. Don't forget to keep a straight spine while doing push ups.
I think it is hard to explain to people sometimes how "everyday" strength is different from body building. Why do you never see bodybuilders (extremely rare) as Navy Seals? Because huge muscles are an obstacle to endurance and vigilance. You can't be in a war and move 24/7 being that huge. To each their own of course.
This^^^ Strength combined with endurance beats bodybuilding muscle every day. Watch the competitions where they throw bodybuilders, power lifters, and endurance athletes together. Nuff said.
I just found you today. You are definitely an inspiration, my friend. Congrats on your success. What amazed me most was the changes after just two weeks! I'm going to take the challenge myself. Thanks
Thank you. I started doing 50 push ups a day for the last 32 days. Only 3 days I took off. I can see and feel the positive impact on my body and mind. Some days I do 70 or 90 (in 20 or 25 batches). Intend to continue this as long as I could (hopefully over one year - like you did). Since last week I have also added 2 planks (1 min each) a day with my push up routine. Harder than I initially thought but doable.
Amazing effort man. But after being in the building trade for 20 years, I’ve never met an old bricklayer who doesn’t have carpel tunnel and screwed arms, knees & shoulders 😂😂 But seriously keep it up man. Amazing.
I just started doing pushups everyday. Honestly, I couldn't even do one. I started doing them on an incline on stairs. Started doing 10 then 20, now I'm up to 60 a day. I went from the 4th step down to the 2nd step. I'm just going to keep at it till I reach 100 and on the floor without an incline. I feel stronger after just a week. Did you do your hundred in sets or just straight up? Cause I don't have the endurance for that just yet.
@@SimpleManChannel i can do about 60 in one go.. but latetly iv been trying something different. and im finding it to be quite effective. 10 pushups every 15 minutes during a day. with 1 or 2 days rest. during witch time i work on a different muscle group. I did 350 yesterday.
For doing push ups only and checking diet, its adequate change. But it´s not huge. Doing push ups every day will increase your endurance( being able to use your strength longer, more often). The muscles aren't actually bigger/heavier. It´s like going from 1700rpm to 2200, the engine doesn't get bigger it just takes more fuel, and provide more power.
Thanks bud. I watched your 30 day video and it inspired me to start doing the 30 days. I started right after watching your video. Now I saw this video. Great work keep it up.
Had to post to say great job, takes discipline and work ethic to do 100 push ups a day...especially for that long. If you did 20 push ups at every commercial break of your favorite tv show you could have your 100 push-ups done. Not sure why people are complaining, I think it’s great, and I enjoy the no BS video’s you have posted!! Thx
this is one amazing improvement. do keep it up. rest day is good but there are situations for that. you have proved keyboard warriors wrong. good job brother and don't stop it. by the way our legs carry us every where then what do we do walk one day and just keep lying down the next haha ahh
Dude, this video made me laugh 😂 My dad was a hod carrier and a bricklayer back in the day (50's to late 80's) and he was ripped! I don't think there would have been any food on the table if he went to his boss asking for every other day off to let his muscles recover 😂😂😂 Keep going coz 1 thing you can't measure with a tape is your smile 👍😉

I was going to buy a pair of perfect pushups but, after extensive research I have come to the conclusion that they are far to small to effectively pile clothes on.
Jerry Walker hahahah lol
Lmao
A man with a fine appreciation of life's sad reality.
Too funny I laughed out loud!!
LOL
The negative comments are from people who are to lazy to get up and make a difference in their lives. Obviously you're motivated and have made some positive changes in your lifestyle and your hard work and dedication has paid off.....congrats man and good for you!
I work out 5 times a week. Have done so for about 20 years. I think this video is pure shite.
EXACTLY!!! LAZY FUCKERS!
Very true Andrew D!
Exactly. Hard work is LITERALLY all it takes. There are no other tricks or secrets to it.
@Evil Robin 3ypp
The biggest change is in your face. Really lifted the face muscles. Excellent result.
The body results are awesome, but giving your face a little added youth is a pretty good result.
My cat agrees
My dog agrees, and more importantly I agree.
You dont need expensive gym memberships to get in shape. He's been honest and the results show. Good work.
Just love the honesty of these videos there's no bullshit.
John Smith you know what your on about. It's not were you train its how you train. Money can buy you a gym membership but it can't buy you knowledge. 👍
the problem with doing only pushups for example is you get imbalances like the kyphotic posture you see in the after photo of the thumbnail, since the front of the body is much stronger than the back
very important to have proper structural development to avoid problems in the long term, if you can't have the equipment to do everything at home a gym is valuable
@@rihhard1072 yes that's true but some people don't feel comfortable going to the gym it's a start doing a bit at home can help and doing somthing is better then doing nothing.
The thing that is expensive is eating all day . Gym membership costs about 20 euro a month in belgium .
"ITs not a huge change"
Buddy.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope the you have a good day of remembrance for your friend.
@@SimpleManChannel Thank you so much.
Nice to come across a 'normal' person making real world changes, you say the changes are small but you definitely look better. Stay strong!
Well... I mean, if he was chugging down protein powder and hormonal supplements every day, he could look just as massive as many of the other gym apes!
At 54 I am still doing my pushups after watching your video I feel great thank you
Nice man I'm doing same
47 here. But I have a pacemaker and thyroid cancer and had my neck fused c3-c7 front and back. Been doing some pushups the past few months. Mostly about 45 or so per day. Well 2 days ago I hit 100 and I did also again today :-)
Well done Caroll. Good to c the ladies getting into this.
I took a big dump
If u can do only 50 push ups, you no have fight stamina to hold arms up. Maybe try 60 tomorrow friend Haseeb. Gud luck. ty.
@@user-uy3eq5hg1s amen
I remember working at a lumber mill stacking hardwood. The guys there were strong as hell, doing that everyday for 10 hrs a day. You'd get the occasional piece of 12X12 hardwood that weighed up to 450 lbs. you had to drag onto a pile by yourself while standing in inches of sawdust. Even the light stuff was heavy. You never had rest days so your body would just adapt.
I agree 100% but the scientific evidence states that having rest days greatly increases your muscle grown
Lookin way stronger dude, congrats. Lot of work there paid off.
Now you have to do a year and a half of pull ups
His strength would be insane.
I'll see you a year and a half of pull ups and raise you a year and a half of hanging rings. Rings will make you way stronger then just pull ups will.
On deployments, push ups, pull ups, chin ups and tailgate raises for upper body. Worked great!
Rowing machine does the whole body better than anything except maybe swimming
The best video, just what I was looking for, I’m on my third week no breaks. Thanks
I'm on day 6 of my 100 press ups a day for 30 days, feeling great so far and getting much better form.

@@andrewbutterworth9743 brother what about now
I'm a bit older, but I do a set of 25 push ups every day except Sunday (among other light exercises).
Thanx
Good luck brother. Keep pushing, literally, lol. Peace.
Good going!! You can definitely see a difference! Any negative messages are from jealous ppl. Thank you. I hope you guys have a good vacation and a Merry Christmas! Good luck with reaching your goals!
I've just started doing knee pushups everyday.
It's been a week now . I can't do a full body pushup right now but already feel confident and motivated that I will also be able to do pushups like you one day .

I’ve been doing pushups daily for almost 2 years. Cool to see someone else who understands the benefits of such a simple workout.
Edit: subscribed yesterday. Congrats on the success you’ve had on here!
Awesome man, thanks for the sub!

I hope you are still grinding those push ups!! Never give up
I'm doing about 150 press-ups 5 days a weeks and have been increasingly steadily for the last six months. I feel the same as you... things just get easier...

There's always going to be critics in this crazy world that we're living inn. Keep it up
gotta say. after 2 weeks of 100 push ups every morning, my chest is lookin gooood. go get that pump. ty 4 the idea SM
Well done brother. Haters will hate.

Awesome man, good luck with the challenge!
I’m 57. I do push ups and pull ups everyday. I’m no world champ.
But cumulative is important

I tried this 10 yrs ago. Used the paddles in my office, had no time for anything else. Got up to 200 a day and it works. Doing it again after corona lock down, with pull ups and body squats. Simple is better. Not going back to gym.
Yes whatever makes you sweat a bucket works
Hey man. Just keep pushing!! Motivating men all around the world.
Well done, I'm starting doing 100 push ups daily (four sets of 25 through the day) because of this.
Awesome man, good luck!
I do that to but 10 at a time I can easily do 100 straight but I feel like just 10 perfect 100 percent correct push up will give you much better results in the long run
Count to 10 ten times bam you just banged out 100. A lil mental trick I used during pt test.
I feel like I should only walk every other day to let my legs rest and recover so I just stay in bed every other day.
Haha
Literally the dumbest comment here
Someone knows nothing about the importance of rest for muscle development. So sad. This guy could have skipped days and had much better results.
@@iwantum It was a joke lmao
One of the great things about this kind of exercise routine is it takes so little time out of your day. Less than 5 minutes.
100 pushups in 5 minutes?
Such a nice humble guy. Im starting today, pal ! All good

I have been doing 100 a day, but I pulled something in my shoulder. I wish I had those perfect pushup things!

At the end I was expecting to see just a big pair of arms with a tiny head.
Thank you.
That’s awesome to hear! I hope you are able to keep it up! Best of luck!
Respect man. And actually, you grew a lot. The first stage when you start training strength is always the period you'll get the most gains. But you look more defined and more muscular overall, which is the result when you train for strength/endurance. Don't forget to keep a straight spine while doing push ups.
Bro u are just Insane💪 should I also start this ?
I think it is hard to explain to people sometimes how "everyday" strength is different from body building. Why do you never see bodybuilders (extremely rare) as Navy Seals? Because huge muscles are an obstacle to endurance and vigilance. You can't be in a war and move 24/7 being that huge. To each their own of course.
This^^^
Strength combined with endurance beats bodybuilding muscle every day.
Great job on your progress. I did them in sets. 50 was the most I got in one sets. Most sets were around 20 - 25
@@SimpleManChannel i can do about 60 in one go.. but latetly iv been trying something different. and im finding it to be quite effective. 10 pushups every 15 minutes during a day. with 1 or 2 days rest. during witch time i work on a different muscle group. I did 350 yesterday.
The Hell it ain't a huge change! I think it is awesome results for only a year and a half.
Idk I feel like it doesn't matter unless you have muscles to show.
dan gilmore yea unless there is a specific reason for strength aesthetics is what u should go for
Thx
Thanks man, I appreciate the positivity!
this is one amazing improvement. do keep it up. rest day is good but there are situations for that. you have proved keyboard warriors wrong. good job brother and don't stop it. by the way our legs carry us every where then what do we do walk one day and just keep lying down the next haha ahh
wow. That's impressive. I'm sure he would look jacked if he had been doing some back exercises to balance himself out!
Dude, this video made me laugh 😂 My dad was a hod carrier and a bricklayer back in the day (50's to late 80's) and he was ripped! I don't think there would have been any food on the table if he went to his boss asking for every other day off to let his muscles recover 😂😂😂
Keep going coz 1 thing you can't measure with a tape is your smile 👍😉
Way to go! Love your honest take on a subject that confuses alot of people. Keep up the hard work and inspiring!

Exactly. Maybe he could get bigger muscles by letting them recover but would they actually be better? Especially in terms of endurance.
