The way the director stayed behind is interesting to me. It does not seem that he was sacrificing himself for anything in particular, like he did not seem to need to stay behind in order to protect anything or anyone else. Maybe he just could not bear to go on after watching the whole world devastated in such a way. I am reminded of a set of stories I read on Reddit. Someone asked for folks who were on Hawaii when the false ballistic missile warning went out to tell their stories about what that moment was like for them, what they did when they thought that there was a missile, and whether or not they regretted it later. One guy mentioned how he and his friend were both working at a hotel. On receiving the alarm, they scrambled as quickly as they could to get everyone that they could into a basement shelter. Then, they had a choice to make, whether or not to join them in the shelter. They thought about it, and decided that they would rather be vaporized and be remembered as heroes than to have to struggle in the wreckage of a post-apocalyptic world that had been thrown into the chaos and devastation of a global thermonuclear war, so they told everyone in the shelter that they were going to go out to look for other people to bring to shelter, and then they went out to a nice field to watch the ocean as they waited for the end. The director in this video reminds me of that. Perhaps he feels that he is old enough and accustomed enough to the pleasant life that he was lucky to have up to that point, that he could not see the point in struggling against such oppressive force. Youngsters are more resilient, more driven to survive no matter the cost. As focused and collected as he was in assessing the situation, perhaps he just gave up. Chilling.
I always felt that he stayed behind because he didn't think the shelter dome would actually be safe. That he felt he would die no matter what he did, so he preferred to stay and watch the monitors as long as he could.

THOSE LOW NOTES HOLY HECK Seriously, I love how the three voices work together to form Lavos's voice! And the art is incredible! Honestly, everything about this song fits the tone that it sets perfectly.
Wow... It really does sound like the end of the world. Griffin's, Alex's, and Uprising's voices are otherworldly, like a demon escaped from hell. Which is pretty much what happened.
If they ever made a Three Houses musical and somehow include the Cindered Shadows DLC, I can just imagine Griffin, Alex, and Uprising NAILING it as the Umbral Beast.
Lavos was spending all that time planning this musical number. "Oh man, those people will be so impressed with my fiery choreography and impressive singing voice(s)."
Did anyone notice the Frisk cameo at 3:17 ? Dark and crafty Internet Man, and made this dark scene feel so much more tragic by killing a character we all know and love. I love watching you guys work, you know how to make tragic scenes even more heartwrenching.
Juno Son - Well, brilliant work then. I think the horror of this moment is lost in the actual game due to the limited graphical capabilities of the SNES and the Nintendo DS. But the artwork here, shows the terror and despair of each and every innocent person who died horribly. The image of the child dead in their mother's arms was a stroke of evil genius even before I realized who it was. Well played Juno, well played indeed. Keep up the good work!
Oh so thats how undertale ended!!!! In 1999 A.D after Frisk had places to be they went home to the dome they lived in to just fuckin' die. Ain't no determination gunna save you from dat
Since listening to some of the voice acting in these songs, I love Sym’s voice for Lucca. It sounds both adorable and intelligent. It really suits the character’s personality. I also like how devastating this song in particular is
HOLY MOTHER OF LAVOS WHERE TO BEGIN ON THIS ONE Loved those voice lines from the workers at the beginning. They work really well to establish the scene before Lavos crashes the party (every party needs a pooper and that's why we invited you) AND HOLY JEEZ, LAVOS THOUGH The triple voice thing works phenomenally well, layering on thick the sense of the literal embodiment of chaos descending on Guardia. Again, the art is so brilliant in that it not only displays a scene, but conveys it's emotion so powerfully I want to leap into the screen and intervene for the second song in a row. That Frisk cameo is relatively well hidden and I love it XD Overall a chilling, dramatic, epic theme for such as deserving moment. KUDOSSSS
OH MY GOSH YOU WORKED IN THE LAVOS CRY I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!! ...What? I feel it is easily the most unique vocalization ever coded into a video game. I'm kind of obsessed with that noise. The triple layered voice for Lavos also worked perfectly with it so YAY!!!! I...may have been eagerly hoping this would be one of the songs and it was SO MUCH BETTER than I could have ever anticipated!!! So much happy right now.... Wait... Does this mean....that the final battle will have Crono and company singing WITH Lavos?! .....I seriously hope so.... That would be awesome.... SONG BATTLE!!!! Now that I've got my massive geek out vented from my system I can try to be a bit more analytical. So....where to begin. That's a tough one. Hm...perhaps the artwork. Put simply, it's impressive. Starting with the pieces with the operators and the director, I like how calm the first one is. The two operators just chatting casually while the director is holding a cup of coffee and smiling at their conversation. It feels nice and peaceful. Like nothing could go wrong. Tone is completely different in the following one! You can tell they are scared and confused, but are still trying to be professional as they attempt to work out what the heck is happening. First drawing of Lavos.... In a word: terrifying. Neither its overworld sprite or battle sprite are all that frightening in the game. Weird looking, yes. Scary, not so much. But this drawing....holy hell that thing is CREEPY! I think its the red lighting that does it. Something about it just makes things more intimidating. Then we get images of all the destruction going on. The broken plane and train tracks kind of reminded me of parts of the Tower of Geddon from Chrono Cross.... That was a chilling location.... The still frames of devastation here have a similar effect. It really feels like I'm watching the end of the world, so great job there! You captured the moment perfectly! And, yes, I did catch the bit with the kid who looks like Frisk. Kind of hard to miss. Glad you're having fun slipping in these little Easter Eggs. And that last shot of Lavos with its beak gaping....yipe.... You scary, Lavos. You very scary. And finally, the last two shots of the operators and director. Much more emotional than what we got in the game, but I expect facial expressions have a lot to do with that. Also it's really hard to get a sense of panicked flight from sprites with a set movement speed. And the final collapse of the command center or whatever that place was.....wow..... The art provided a nice base for the tone of this segment! Now to the next bit....the music! If Lavos' picture was frightening, then the ensemble singing voice you stuck it with is the level of scary that makes me want to curl up in a corner of my closet and burrow into a pile of pillows and fuzzy blankets. Or drive across the state and cling to my mom. And the lyrics were just so....doomy. I can't say they were threatening, though there was a fair bit of menace, so much as they carried a weight of hopeless inevitability. "This is the end. There is no escape. Now die." That's the feeling I got from these lyrics. Finally, the dialogue. Calm and casual. Confused, a bit scared, yet still trying to be professional. Mounting horror. Mortal terror. I believe that sums up the presentation of the dialogue. It's been a while since I played the game, so I can't remember how much of this is from the game's script and how much is original. Not sure it matters, though, because the overall effect only heightens the sense of horror. It works in context. To me, that's the important thing. Putting all the bits back together as a whole, and the effect is - and I realize I am repeating words here - both chilling and horrifying. Certainly puts the reactions from both Lucca and Marle in the 'Chrono Trigger' song clip into context. That is going to be an interesting transition to watch when it is all put together. We go from this...to Crono's defiant and triumphant declaration that they will change fate in song form. .....I am looking forwards to the completion of this project even more now.... This was amazing. You all are amazing. I could seriously tackle Alex's legs and start crying 'thank you' over and over at this point. And, yes, this is a thing I would do because I have no shame.
When I saw the preview I was so hyped I could barely sleep. And woah. Just woah. When the auditions started, I was skeptical that the way you were planning on creating Lavos' voice wouldn't work all that well. But it DOES, it gives me so many chills! The artwork is heartbreaking, and that piece of Lavos... dang, good job capturing his likeness... the art perfectly fits the mood of the song... and the world ending as we know it. And all in all, this song really does give that perfect feeling of lost hope and inevitability. Also the fact that I can hear Uprising's Schala in there is so fitting and clever, it makes me want to cry so much, it's a nice little preview of her appearance to come x3
I had never heard a song that gave me chills until I was watching the full musical, and this came on. Both the beginning chant of "Lavos", and close to the end the slowly building "we remain". SO good, one of the best songs in the entire musical. It has such a feeling of inevitable dread. It is not terror, but a sense of events unfolding before your eyes which you are unable to affect, and can do nothing but watch
I'm am absolutely speechless at this. Honestly, wow! The deep, demonic voices of Lavos compared with the high and shrill voices of those in the chorus, and the contrast between the casual every day talk and then complete panic at a sudden earthquake, and then Tom's solemn acceptance while Emmy and Loke are practically begging him to come. This entire thing was perfect with how you all sounded and how it really did look like the end of the world, the art was perfect!!! Kudos to those who drew, haven't finished the credits yet, sorry. But wow!!! This is so good and I loved your voices, absolutely blown away by this. E: Juno!!! The art you drew was perfect, but so sad and I loved it!!! And how the heck did I forget Sym and Chi? Gosh, the way you guys were so curious and then bam! the end of the world. It was so wonderful!!! E 2: OH MY GISH IS THAT FRISK UNDERTALE WHO PUT IN FRISK UNDERTALE WOW THIS IS WHAT THE HECK CHRONOTEL CONFIRMDED!!!! Also, poor, poor Juno. E 3: Listening to this again and actually paying attention to hear Alex's demonic sounds as he was singing actually makes more sense as to why that part specifically made me love this song so much. E 4: I still can't get over how deep Griffin's voice is.
The chorus blended very well as usual, the lyrics were AMAZING but the art. The art was so awesome! You can see the desperation on the characters faces, and just, wow. It looked so apocalyptic and chaotic, I love this. Keep up the great work!
Man this one is just so flippin' good. Juno's abundance of art really sets up the scene perfectly, and the three voices of Lavos mixed together like that is just horrifying in the best of ways.
Chrono Trigger has been one of my favorite games of all time since I played it in middle school and anytime I see you guys upload a new part of this musical my heart fills with joy. There's so much raw passion and love put it into and it's made me go back and replay it. This song gave me and other tracks you've all done have filled me with so much joy and honestly I can't wait to see what's to come so keep up the wonderful work all of you
i gotta say even im terrified of lavos's voice also 3:18 people were felt sorry for frisk but does anyone feel sorry for the lady at 2:56 cause she took a lava needle to the eye yet nobody mention's it so people act calm for a lady with a lava needle in the eye but when it's frisk everybody cries like if you feel sorry for the lady at 2:56
*is dead* *because juno's art is so beautiful* *and he made 'me' look so amazing* also i think i literally died in this vid bc hellfire and flaming rocks from the sky and all
*Everything will be okay, Crono and friends are going to travel through time and stop this from happening. Just stay calm, there's no need to worry. The domes wont be destroyed, the workers will be able to clock out and enjoy their day, the kid in the stripped shirt will be alright.* Oh my god, really though. Your talents have, once again, left me truly horrified. The artwork, the chorus, and freakin' Lavos's voice just screams of Hell literally being unleashed.
well from what i understood lynx killed all when they were kids, but its really weird since that lvl 99 cast pretty much defeated lavos, and the cast of chrono cross only can "defeat" the time devourer in a certain way.
Eh? I thought Dalton was sent through time to around 1005 AD and got possessed by the Masamune and lead and army to conquer Guardia. The Lynx killing children thing was around 1015 AD, so Lucca would've been an adult and raising Kid. Though, again, how all three of them could perish when they can defeat Lavos is a mystery.
how guardia would fall when doan is still a thing, what i mean is that the same royal family always keeps the power. really chrono cross would have been way better if it stayed away from the first game, its obvious that square couldnt touch much of chrono trigger without nintendo´s consent and did all this .3.
I am literally in tears right now. This theme is one of only two pieces from games that truly scared me as a kid, and from the first notes, I was a little kid again, struggling to defeat the most basic monsters when this shows up. The stakes seemed so dire, probably because you're in no way ready for that final boss fight. You guys really nailed this one out of the park. The triple voice setup for Lavos is completely genius, and the vocalists all brought something unique and ... necessary to the part. It was weird and alien and haunting, but almost ... relatable. The voice I hear inside my head that tells me I'm no good, or that I hear over top of mine when I'm scared and angry and just want people to leave me alone.
You know, I never thought I'd be grateful to hear a voice that I will definitely be hearing in my nightmares. Because holy hell in a handbasket that gave me chills Also, yay, Loke's speaking voice!
When the "Lavos!" started, chills ran down my spine and didn't stop. That voice that was given to Lavos -- I can tell it's multiple voices, and that serves to make it much more eerie and unearthly, as it should be. The desperation that the people felt when they realized everything was being destroyed, the way everything burned, caught perfectly in both the voices and the artwork. Gods. This is one of my favorites of the Musical, now.
Sans helped loan some ketchup and taught them how to look dead for the part. He wished that HE could have gotten that role and swapped places with Frisk, but Mettaton thought a bloody skeleton would look too goofy for the part, so Sans is wearing a suit and playing Robo instead. He's doing a darn good job of it, too. Mettaton, meanwhile, is having a blast as one of the three voices for Lavos, alongside some of the old chorus members.
The domes are going down! Which domes? ALL OF THEM, Porre... Choras... Medina... Wait a sec. I live near a town called Medina. .... See you on the other side. XD
iwillalwaysbealone Slightly different. The way you pronounced it was “Me-deena” while the town I live near is pronounced “Me-dye-na”. Still, close enough.
Ooh, I just watched this again with the subtitles!! I highly recommend it! Whoever wrote those, thank you very much for your contribution to the story-telling!
Yep. It's the end of the world as they know it. Also, that shot of Lavos' beak at the last "We remain" _really_ gave me goosebumps to pop the game in and start hammering away at it with a few Final Kicks with my Lv. 70 party.
One thing that was always hilariously terrifying for me was that the apocalyptic rise of a nightmare tick from outer space is on the year I was born. Fun times indeed
A bit off topic, but I noticed Jenova from ff7 is quite literally the Lavos of the final fantasy universe. And Sephiroth has complete control over her. This will be the fate of the Planet in the event that Sephiroth wins. Aerith was right, he has to be stopped.
For some reason I begin to tear up when hearing this. Its like I can feel the anguish of the people in the video. Once again you have made an amazing product. That Lavos voice is so eerie.
This captures the feelings really well for what it does and how little we see in game. The dead Frisk was clever and I admittedly didn't catch for a few watches... And 10/10 to the screamy boi that was glorious. All around 10/10 great job. Edit: A friend brought to my attention that the individual holding Frisk looks like the art we always see of Alex.
Gotta love the train of thought behind Juno's* references to Undertale *here, have a sans balloon **here, have Flowey in the background *here, have a corpse of 10 year old child =) 5/7
*Spoilers* I like to believe that the higher pitched, feminine voice is Schala's, as she is also being consumed by Lavos. Maybe in this timeline, she couldn't send a clone of her into the timeline, but kept Lavos from becoming the Dream Devourer?
We have the Eldritch Horror special, now with extra traumatic psychic damage! It's served at our in house restaurant, H.P.'s where every dish is crafted with Love!
Holy shit...well, remind me to never play it to my friends. Anyways, how deep can Griffin sing? I think that's the deepest I've ever heard. And the art, the music, and the glitches in the recording just make it feel so...real. Well, shit's gonna happen on that day.
it sound the perfect amount of inhuman, like every everytime i listen the first word doesent feel like a real world before my brain settles into understanding the lyrics, so it makes it seem like a truly alien creatures attempt to mimic human speech
I had no idea what to expect when Lavos finally showed up, but you guys totally nailed it! The layers of voices are super neat it blows my mind how you guys managed to make it sound so eerie and inhuman. I love this so much!
*Applause* MY GOD. You've captured the intimidation of Lavos perfectly! The whole added scene where we get to see people's reactions to Lavos when it's happening is great. I really don't know what else to say about this! Bravo! Bravo!
I mean this entirely as a compliment, as you all did an excellent job. For the most terrifying thing I ever experienced in a video game, you gave Lavos a truly horrifying voice. I greatly anticipated/dreaded this moment, and you surpassed all expectations. I won't be sleeping anytime soon.
Fantastic job on this episode MOTI Crew! I gotta say, I wasn't too sure about you guys giving Lavos a singing role, but I think you nailed it. The art here, I think, does an even better job than the game of showing off Lavos' power and Intimidation, it really makes the scene.

Seriously, I love how the three voices work together to form Lavos's voice! And the art is incredible! Honestly, everything about this song fits the tone that it sets perfectly.
SlickSlack Watch your language!!
I dunno, I heard "Yanny."
Ouch :o
Wow... It really does sound like the end of the world.
Griffin's, Alex's, and Uprising's voices are otherworldly, like a demon escaped from hell. Which is pretty much what happened.
Scolipendra I'm Pretty Sure It's More Like A God Of Absolute Destruction Waking Up Causing Chaos And Death
Someone call the f##king slayer NOW!
@Lavos Not really, I can still understand what their saying.
If they ever made a Three Houses musical and somehow include the Cindered Shadows DLC, I can just imagine Griffin, Alex, and Uprising NAILING it as the Umbral Beast.
Oh, I'm depressed now. Huh.
Lavos was spending all that time planning this musical number. "Oh man, those people will be so impressed with my fiery choreography and impressive singing voice(s)."
All I will say is that I was unaware humans could sing notes that low until I met Griffin.
"I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE NEGATIVE OCTAVE EXISTED"
Cellochicita Octave readings negative... this experiments seems very.. very..
Griffin. What does the chorus think?
Valkarie Stoze Good for you I can too if a try hard enough.
Valkarie Stoze I would too except I’m like 13 lol.
I do sing tho.
Did anyone notice the Frisk cameo at 3:17 ? Dark and crafty Internet Man, and made this dark scene feel so much more tragic by killing a character we all know and love. I love watching you guys work, you know how to make tragic scenes even more heartwrenching.
Notice the corpse of the dead child, senpai
That was a hell of an Easter egg man! The art work was fantastic for this! I'm assuming that was your doing?
Yes :)
I also like how devastating this song in particular is
HOLY MOTHER OF LAVOS WHERE TO BEGIN ON THIS ONE
Loved those voice lines from the workers at the beginning. They work really well to establish the scene before Lavos crashes the party (every party needs a pooper and that's why we invited you)
AND HOLY JEEZ, LAVOS THOUGH
The triple voice thing works phenomenally well, layering on thick the sense of the literal embodiment of chaos descending on Guardia. Again, the art is so brilliant in that it not only displays a scene, but conveys it's emotion so powerfully I want to leap into the screen and intervene for the second song in a row. That Frisk cameo is relatively well hidden and I love it XD
Overall a chilling, dramatic, epic theme for such as deserving moment.
I love the touch of how the CC are pretty much the computer systems and Mother Brain tries to use intercontinental ballistics to neutralize Lavos
Lavos?! HAS?!! *_A VOICE?!_*
(or voices, technically)
You just have to think about everything, dont you guys
@Lavos A young voice saying all kind of CRAM (berry) ;)
@Lavos Still at 20 gold piece a bucket?! I'll order right away. Where do i send my MasterGold card #?
After all La voz in Spanish means The Voice
My interpretation is that the voice is the combined voices of all that have been consumed by lavos. It's a fitting voice.
"My children and I will devour this world."
"But you're still hungry."
Using the CC for a news ticker was a brilliant idea, used quite effectively!
Yeah, if you listened to it without first, listening to the song with the captions brings back that same feeling of doom.
@Haniel Du Grenier I'm guessing this is a Chrono Cross reference?
The chorus blended very well as usual, the lyrics were AMAZING but the art. The art was so awesome! You can see the desperation on the characters faces, and just, wow. It looked so apocalyptic and chaotic, I love this. Keep up the great work!
Man this one is just so flippin' good. Juno's abundance of art really sets up the scene perfectly, and the three voices of Lavos mixed together like that is just horrifying in the best of ways.
Of all things, I didn't expect Lavos to sing
Ikr
Juno saw one too many “sans balloon” comments and snapped. =)
*gives juno a pap*
was that frisk
No, it was Tom Hanks
I just saw Frisk
No, it was Tom Hanks, renowned American actor, known among other things for his role as Woody from Toy Story :^)
The closed caption extra info was a beauty
Chrono Trigger has been one of my favorite games of all time since I played it in middle school and anytime I see you guys upload a new part of this musical my heart fills with joy. There's so much raw passion and love put it into and it's made me go back and replay it. This song gave me and other tracks you've all done have filled me with so much joy and honestly I can't wait to see what's to come so keep up the wonderful work all of you
Lavos' screeching cry at the end mixed with the song is damningly haunting! Good job guys!!
i gotta say even im terrified of lavos's voice
also 3:18 people were felt sorry for frisk but does anyone feel sorry for the lady at 2:56 cause she took a lava needle to the eye yet nobody mention's it
so people act calm for a lady with a lava needle in the eye but when it's frisk everybody cries
like if you feel sorry for the lady at 2:56
I used to be a adventurer like, then I took a needle of destruction in the knee
Tell me about it! I have to scroll down to the comments at that part now..... I wonder how much she suffered before she died.....
@@pkejesusfreakConsidering how Lavos is genuinely evil in this project, she was probably in unimaginable agony…
Both these scenes send chills up my spine. Imagine seeing all this happening before your eyes. *Shudders*
I feel sorry for her
You really know how to make Lavos creepy seriously just chills down my spine
Praise Lavos. Praise its threefold voice of awesome. Praise its rain of fire.
Praise the makers of this kickass musical.
*is dead*
*because juno's art is so beautiful*
*and he made 'me' look so amazing*
also i think i literally died in this vid bc hellfire and flaming rocks from the sky and all
*Everything will be okay, Crono and friends are going to travel through time and stop this from happening. Just stay calm, there's no need to worry. The domes wont be destroyed, the workers will be able to clock out and enjoy their day, the kid in the stripped shirt will be alright.*
Oh my god, really though. Your talents have, once again, left me truly horrified. The artwork, the chorus, and freakin' Lavos's voice just screams of Hell literally being unleashed.
Oh, but crono cross is a thing, and none of this adventure matters.
all of the 1000 ad cast, got killed as children...
nikfighter262 Not exactly what happens. Time travel, what an amazing thing.
well from what i understood lynx killed all when they were kids, but its really weird since that lvl 99 cast pretty much defeated lavos, and the cast of chrono cross only can "defeat" the time devourer in a certain way.
Holy freakin' shit. That song and Lavos' voice are just straight up unnerving, and it's great. It fits perfectly. Great job y'all
I really appreciate the artwork showing an in-depth, close-up look at the devastation.
I love how the line "we remain" turns into a screaming crescendo, sends shivers down my spine!
HOLY. SHITE. I am speechless. This was chillingly amazing.
Is Griffin even human because DAMN those low notes
"There's no time" That statement always hit me hard, considering it's a game about time travel.
You know, I never thought I'd be grateful to hear a voice that I will definitely be hearing in my nightmares.
Because holy hell in a handbasket that gave me chills
Also, yay, Loke's speaking voice!
DEAR LORD I HAVE REGRETS XD
YOU DID GREAT, SHUSH
YOU ARE ADORABLE OKAY
THANKS, AND SO ARE YOU
When the "Lavos!" started, chills ran down my spine and didn't stop.
3:10 I’m pretty sure that’s Frisk from Undertale, nice little reference.
So that's why the humans were afraid of monsters!
I just noticed and wanted to point it out, but I see someone else did it already. :D
Because they thought monsters would pillage and destroy humaninity forevet
What if the Core is the local where Lavos feeds? And the underground's energy come from Lavos instead of the Earth's core?
Okay I'm going to sleep now
Hoooolllly crud this was chilling.
Also HOW DID GRIFFIN HIT THOSE LOW NOTES?! Like, absolutely wow. .
*LAVOS!*
Seriously was this a killer mix! And the art was super well done! Good job on this one MOI! ^^
The domes are going down!
Which domes?
ALL OF THEM, Porre... Choras... Medina...
Wait a sec. I live near a town called Medina.
....
See you on the other side. XD
welp, i sure hope i pronounced it correctly XD
iwillalwaysbealone Slightly different. The way you pronounced it was “Me-deena” while the town I live near is pronounced “Me-dye-na”. Still, close enough.
TheAdvertisement oops, sorry! XD
I live in Medina county in OH IO!!!
@@lokemikaze Actually turns out the way you pronounced it is the correct way, it just has two different pronounciations!
Ooh, I just watched this again with the subtitles!! I highly recommend it! Whoever wrote those, thank you very much for your contribution to the story-telling!
... Oh God...
When the song is so amazing that not even someone so great at writing essays have words .
tbh I came back to write one later, but realized my initial reaction still held strongly.
Yep. It's the end of the world as they know it.
Also, that shot of Lavos' beak at the last "We remain" _really_ gave me goosebumps to pop the game in and start hammering away at it with a few Final Kicks with my Lv. 70 party.
You god is dead
So Lavos has an actual voice for the musical? AMAZING!!
One thing that was always hilariously terrifying for me was that the apocalyptic rise of a nightmare tick from outer space is on the year I was born. Fun times indeed
Look at that beautiful death and destruction. ;u;
Also, can I just say, Juno's art improved greatly compared to his first works, like dude, how?!
Gotta love the train of thought behind Juno's* references to Undertale
*here, have a sans balloon
**here, have Flowey in the background
*here, have a corpse of 10 year old child =)
5/7
Here have a comment section full of hundreds of WAS I THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED SANS THE BALLOON
Juno was bound to snap XD
Is that a Sans Balloon, like if you saw the video
Flowey was my idea xD
Kikyo Yuuki Deepest apologies
MrGrupec its fine haha
This is great, I'm sure lot of time and effort went into this
*Spoilers*
I like to believe that the higher pitched, feminine voice is Schala's, as she is also being consumed by Lavos. Maybe in this timeline, she couldn't send a clone of her into the timeline, but kept Lavos from becoming the Dream Devourer?
Damn this is chilling. If lavos could speak, I'd imagine it would sound like this.
I can't wait for when you do the final boss theme. It'll be kick-ass. Go all out Man, go all out.
that wont be for quite a while, but it will be worth the wait!
Yeah, I kinda went "Oh....shit." when I saw the "14/60".
holy shit this was amazing
the lavos voice is terrifying which is great and i love it
you guys are incredible
Welcome to The Nightmare Fuel pumping station. Will you take Regular, Unleaded, or High Octane?
Sab Liath Do you have any specials?
We have the Eldritch Horror special, now with extra traumatic psychic damage! It's served at our in house restaurant, H.P.'s where every dish is crafted with Love!
I'll take that with a side of Cthulu Is Eating Everything and a dessert platter of Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles.
The captions showing the rapid reporting of the end of the world are absolutely horrifying. I love it.
Oh my, this is very eerie and amazing and just, legitimately terrifying.
I love it.
Holy shit...well, remind me to never play it to my friends.
Anyways, how deep can Griffin sing? I think that's the deepest I've ever heard. And the art, the music, and the glitches in the recording just make it feel so...real. Well, shit's gonna happen on that day.
Apparently, according to the mixer's program, he can sing in the *-1 octave*.
Geez, I got shivers.
If this is what they did with Lavos' main theme, I can't wait to see what they do with World Revolution.
You know, I was terribly interested how this one would turn out. Gave me goosebumps.
You guys do the best work.
omg
you did awesome on this one
just like the other ones
I actually cried a bit
The boy at 3:09 has a Frisk shirt!!!
Truly chilling.
Damit Guys! You ALWAYS know how to give me goose bumps with your incredible work! Well done!
it sound the perfect amount of inhuman, like every everytime i listen the first word doesent feel like a real world before my brain settles into understanding the lyrics, so it makes it seem like a truly alien creatures attempt to mimic human speech
Hooooooooly crap that was awesome! Lavos is such a terrifying monster, and this theme does it justice!
That was... horrifying...
I mean, well done and all... but still, I'm having nightmares from this tonight....
... ... ... YEP! Sounds about right!
Lavos despite not having much in the way of personality in the game, if he had one, this is exactly what I would have imagined it being.
Do yourselves a favor and turn on subtitles.
The arrival of Lavos was something that shook me because something like that just wiped out all of the earth about like that’s scary
I love that the three voices you got for Lavos are modulated in Just the right way to replicate the singular audio byte it ever has.
I had no idea what to expect when Lavos finally showed up, but you guys totally nailed it! The layers of voices are super neat it blows my mind how you guys managed to make it sound so eerie and inhuman.
I love this so much!
So... In this musical, Lavos has the personality of Shuma-Gorath ? Glorious !
Wow, this went wayyy beyond expectations! Even the close captions were a unique surprise! Awesome job!
Dormin (SotC): "Ahh, what a pleasing singing voice you have."
That last 'we remain' sent shivers down my spine. Very nice.
Everyone's mentioning Frisk Undertale, while I’m just applauding Juno for the Listen poster in the background.
Noticing the *real* details ;)
I was wondering if someone would notice that! Your comment deserves more likes!
Hey, thanks Olympus!
And Juno... you’re amazing, man! Can’t wait to see more of your art!
Funnily enough, no one is mentioning the lyrical similarities between this and some parts of the Undertale musical.
Where is the poster?
*Applause*
MY GOD. You've captured the intimidation of Lavos perfectly! The whole added scene where we get to see people's reactions to Lavos when it's happening is great. I really don't know what else to say about this!
Bravo! Bravo!
Chills! That chorus is beautiful!
Who knew the end of the world would sound and look so awesome?
I mean this entirely as a compliment, as you all did an excellent job.
For the most terrifying thing I ever experienced in a video game, you gave Lavos a truly horrifying voice. I greatly anticipated/dreaded this moment, and you surpassed all expectations. I won't be sleeping anytime soon.
Whoa.... you just elevated Lavos to the status of an old god....
Fantastic job on this episode MOTI Crew!
I gotta say, I wasn't too sure about you guys giving Lavos a singing role, but I think you nailed it. The art here, I think, does an even better job than the game of showing off Lavos' power and Intimidation, it really makes the scene.
Lavos, Lavos, and Lavos!
I love, Lavos, Lavos, and Lavos!
are you sure you are a kind soul o_o
nah jk
I think of the sort of screeching sound Lavos makes and I think they did an excellent job with this triple voice as one. Well done! Impressive effect!
Is it bad that a song about the world being destroyed made my afternoon ?
