I thought you would skip this part and simply use world revolution for the fight against both the shell and the second form, but I'm more than happy to see you not only used this part but managed to make it interesting and full of tension and horror. Great job to everyone, this has to be one of my favorite songs

Lavos: “Did you just bring all your party members into battle?” Crono: “Yeah so?” Lavos: “That’s against the game mechanics!” Crono: “Screw the game mechanics I have the entity on my side!”
One thing I wonder though. Wasn't that thing meant to be moreso Lavos' creation, rather than Lavos itself? It was named "The Ultimate Evolution" or some such. Wasn't it?
Ok both merging the confronting Lavos and crashing the Epoch into Lavos at the same time is a great idea. And I like the idea instead of everyone else just waiting at the end of time they hold off Lavos from the outside and protect the world while Crono and the others fight the beast within.
This was awesome! The remix of the first boss fight gives me goosebumps: it sounds so triumphant and I love the duel between Lavos' confidence and certainty versus the trio's determination and echoing the words of the past they've been trying so hard to protect. Definitely going to be replaying that section a lot! Then the transition into Lavos' theme basically takes all that hope and triumph and throws it out the window. It's beautiful. And of course, I love the way you guys had all of the characters being able to participate in the battle using the Epoch. (RIP Epoch you'll be missed.) Everyone did an excellent job in this number, though I have to give props to Sym, Chi-Chi, and Upgraded Moon (you guys rocked it) for their work in the first segment. I'd also like to shine a bit of light on Steel's work with Robo. He sounds so cool and confident, and he's come so far from his introductory song, from not even being able to address everyone casually because of his programming to 'yeah let's break the rules of space and time to save our friends, it'll be fine'. The echo of Lucca's lines from the initial teleporter machine in his dialogue was also a nice touch, so thank you to the writers for throwing that in. All in all, well done everyone, and I'm looking forward to the next track! Also, going to echo a lot of the other comments, but Juno's art work here really blew me away. Seeing all the Lavois-ified designs of previous bosses was really cool, and the pieces in the video (notably the Masamune vs. Lucca and Nizbel vs. Chrono pieces) were incredibly dynamic. Plus, the Magus artwork with him on the airplane fighting were very fitting: Magus has always been a solo act, so having his (potentially) last moment in the musical being him, alone, fighting against himself and Lavos to help accomplish his goal makes a lot of sense for the character. Excellent work, man!
I love the detail in the art of Lavos taking the form of other bosses, since in the game he uses all the bosses attacks. Thats a very fun way to portray that mechanic.
oh my gosh I was waiting for them to break the three time travelers rule since you foreshadowed it back when you got to The End Of Time, this has been worth the wait
That's true! "Unless time gets very desperate, in which case you could risk it" MOTI wouldn't have added that tidbit in if they didn't have something planned for that ;)
Great music as always, Since the end of time song mentioned only three could go, unless they were willing to take a risk (don't remember the exact wording) I always thought the finale would end with everyone, and its great to see I was right! The choruses of this musical were easily the best parts for me, so I look forward to hearing each and every one of them in the next coming tracks :D
The three people rule doesn’t make sense when you take into account the campfire where they fix Robo. It DOES make more sense if you count it as only three people NOT native/originating in that time period. (There are 7 because Robo used a Loophole, traveling the long way)
Gaspar said that three people at a time could travel through the gates. The loophole to me is that while three people at a time could go through, six people could go through in packs of three. That’s why my theory was 3 people engage Lavos through the Omen, three people use the epoch to crash into lavos, and one person uses the bucket at the end of time.
In these vast lands that still remain scorched, I wish for greenery to finally begin to sprout. I used to believe that a resounding singing voice could go far. Reprising the first battle theme was an amazing choice! Then doing a full reprise of Lavos too! Also, Air Guardia was an amazing detail. Juno's art is so good; I never cease to be amazed. And the full party coming in! I have been waiting for this for years, ever since a line was added in The End of Time that you could risk more than three people if circumstances were especially dire. I'm expecting a seven-part harmony, but I am so hyped for this project's conclusion!

Whoa okay, that's interesting. I knew when Gaspar first said that if time got desperate they could risk more than 3 people traveling through time that just had to be foreshadowing, but I had no idea this was how it was going down. I was wondering if you guys were going to do the Epoch sacrifice flight or the direct fight with Lavos, but I guess it's the same idea as the Magus Reprise, we get the best of both worlds. Assuming World Revolution is next, can't wait for it!
🎶 It's been here for us, through sidequests aplenty. 🎶 But now at the end of century twenty, we can see 🎶 a need 🎶 to exceed 🎶 its design! 🎶 Now, we crash the Wings of Time...
I think they were able to at least limit the damage Lavos could do. While Lavos would still kill a lot of people they'll eventually recover, it won't be as bad as the timeline where Lavos is allowed to continue uninterrupted.
I love the way you played the fight thus far. You managed to make it sense that they could beat him without the concept of levels and experience being a thing in here. The fact that it starts off as a fight only for Lavos' overwhelming might to make their efforts futile is just something that makes this realistic. The crash of the Epoch being needed to give them even the slightest chance is great. And I'm sure when the full script comes out the abrupt change from Magus, Ayla and Chrono to Chrono, Marle and Lucca will make sense. I'm hyped for the impending finale.
Well, now we know for sure which ending they'll be ending this series on! Been wondering this whole time. Though honestly, such a dramatic twist they put in the Lavos fight by having everyone come together at the end. To save the world's future, they risk destabilizing time itself! A nice way to tie everything up and have everyone together to, I assume, sing the Lavos fight!
My personal favorite theory is that you CAN actually travel to this point in time in groups of more than 3, because Lavos is wearing down the very fabric of time itself when it's emerging from its pocket time-dimension thing, and/or because the Entity ie. time itself is allowing it because they're ready to face Lavos. Doesn't make it any less awesome though, and I for one welcome the change! Wouldn't be a "world revolution" if part of your party is blocked out of the fight. Hell, I would even imagine Fiona, Tata, Leene, King Guardia, the friendly Medina imps, Kino, and other minor characters cheering the main party on, no matter how illogical it might be.
@@sera-ch Better yet, the theory that Lavos was summoned after the events of the Black Omen could work. After defeating Queen Zeal, the Black Omen was swallowed up right before Lavos appeared. With the Omen practically in it's own time bubble - existing in all time frames in seemingly the same exact moment - time itself in that palace is warped. In that respect, the heroes could easily be in all the time frames at once because they're in the Black Omen's personal time-warp bubble. And since they encountered Lavos from the Omen, his summoning can also be considered a part of the time-warp bubble. That would make them being now in 1999 AD in this musical make sense since they're in all time frames at the same time. P.S., it's been so long since I geeked out about theories regarding Chrono Trigger; since high school! Thanks MOTI for bringing that back out of me!
So... am I the only one who finds it interesting that three of the four images that come up during the dialogue between Robo, Frog, Ayla and Magus are blurred out? Especially given that from what I can make of them, they appear to be... the images for their assault on Lavos. I get the feeling we've got one more track BEFORE World Revolution...
Yeah I guess that would make more sense. Shame, because the Shades could be an interesting premise for a song. Or hell, even giving Dalton a third one would be pretty funny

I would absolutely LOVE to get a copy of their version of Lavos' roar/cry towards the end or at least know how they made it so I could try to recreate it myself.
Wow.... Two routes at once.... You know, in this context it makes sense to throw everything they have at Lavos considering how powerful it's implied to be. And one could argue time is already destabilized because of the time gates existing...and the additional destabilization from this final battle could be an in universe explanation for how the El Nido archipelago came to be. I know the team isn't tackling Chrono Cross, which is both understandable and sensible because that game - as much as I love it - has a VERY weak plot that is hard to follow sometimes, but I choose to believe the events still take place in this continuity. So I rather like the change the MOTI team made here. Also the reprise of Lavos' Theme is awesome... And the overall feel of a song battle taking place. Screw it, I love everything about this installment!
@@ElvenRaptor Just do musical bytes. Its the only way to even cover a handful of the songs without suffering an massive coronary stroke from trying to make sense out of the plot.
Not to mention that the planet is letting them do all this stuff. Cross I rather relegate it to a very bad dream. It makes no sense and doesn't connect at all with Trigger.
@@Ilikecatsismychannelname it is decent game for those qualities, no one argued that but it doesn't connect with Trigger at all and is much better served as its own game. In trying to force such a connection, Squar Enix only Cross look that much worse. Omg that was great! I can't believe the next update should be world revolution! I've been waiting forever for that song, it's one of my all-time favorite boss themes! So excited!!
I’m starting to get a sinking feeling in regards to the ending they’re going for, considering how the MOTI crew has been getting inclusive with certain story elements. Prime examples would be this moment in which the route to Lavos must be chosen and the North Cape. A choice must be made both times, yet the whole party is tackling multiple access points to all reach Lavos together. Then there’s the combination of actually fighting Magus at the cape which should result in his death and the alternative to having him join the party by opting not to fight at all. Both options were seamlessly tied into one narrative. With that being the case, I sense that the Lavos fight is going to end with a major character death since one of the game’s endings includes Glenn’s curse lifting as a result of said death.
I don't see any characters dying. I think the ending will be the one you get if you crash epoch into Lavos. (The ending where everyone goes to their own time, frog is still a frog and Crono and Marle float away on the balloons.) I guess we will wait and see.
@@oodogla Correct, but there’s also the option to lift Glenn’s curse by having fought with and killed Magus at the North Cape. I don’t know how they’re planning to end it outside of the Epoch crash ending, so my fear could very well be for naught.
@@Jaydove2387 oh... i didn't realise Lavos was, or had to be that old. But who's to say he has no siblings that aren't. Also that wouldn't negate the fact that there might be more.

The rest of the party joining, and Robo leading it... Oh man on the internet, now you've done it, that's the plot twist this game deserved!
Please put your tray tables in the upright position.
This is the greatest PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!
Christ, the art here is amazing. Lavos has never looked more terrifying.
Oh my god this is so sick. I can't wait wait the final! Good work to juno for that amazing art and as always the voices are incredible
2:18 that headshot is gruesome!
Talk about an epic finale!
Humans fighting an alien abomination and sounding awesome while doing it!
Get him heroes!
Show him the might of man!
A beautiful, elegant solution to the narrative problem of getting the whole party to Lavos. Bravo.
So… we’re not gonna bring up the bucket? Alright. Loved the songs that call back to the first fight! And LETS GOOOOO 7 vs 1 SMACK DOWN!!!!!
I love twisting the story a little bit too get the entire group to fight Lavos.
Good job you all!!!!! I really appreciate this video and thanks to the whole cast for teaching us a lesson using the characters themes!!!😭🙏🏻💖💞
So... am I the only one who finds it interesting that three of the four images that come up during the dialogue between Robo, Frog, Ayla and Magus are blurred out? Especially given that from what I can make of them, they appear to be... the images for their assault on Lavos.
I get the feeling we've got one more track BEFORE World Revolution...
Nice job combining the two ways to get into Lavos's core.
Hmmm... there are still four tracks to go, but only two Lavos phases remain. Maybe we might get some post-game songs? Dream Devourer, perhaps?
or probably a song for the ending fair and one for the credits.
Yeah I guess that would make more sense. Shame, because the Shades could be an interesting premise for a song. Or hell, even giving Dalton a third one would be pretty funny
@@lonlonmilk9694
Even they give Dalton another song at this point it would actually be terrifying given future events.
Lavos Beckons, Lavos Hero AU (based on Chrono Trigger The Musical)
LAVOS
At the end of time,
All life and hope will sure-

Here destroying all the light
Time to see what we can do
Lavos, we'll kill you

We won't run or hide
Tonight, your team meets your
demise
CHRONO TRIO
You haven't won yet
We will be your threat
With the power of faith
Bring the end of days!
LAVOS

We will save the day!
CHRONO TRIO
Your plans cannot be
We'll change history
Fight back if you can
See the might of man
LAVOS
You must cease this prattle
We won't let this plan-
-et die
CHRONO TRIO
We will still stand strong
Being all that's wrong
Your games end tonight
We will win this fight
LAVOS
On and on we'll battle
Til we shout the hea-
-ven's cry!
CHRONO TRIO
Battle's almost done
Soon we will have won
With one final blow
Still your hero's soul!
How do you like this? I can do it for the whole musical but it'll take time.
I would absolutely LOVE to get a copy of their version of Lavos' roar/cry towards the end or at least know how they made it so I could try to recreate it myself.
2:44 - Frisk?!
I couldn't even imagine how one could turn "Cross" into a musical.
@@andresmarrero8666 Still a fun game, though. And the music is enchanting. Plus the art style is VERY pretty. It's one major flaw is it's plot.
@@Ilikecatsismychannelname it is decent game for those qualities, no one argued that but it doesn't connect with Trigger at all and is much better served as its own game. In trying to force such a connection, Squar Enix only Cross look that much worse. It really goes to show how much story and plot actually matters because it is for those reasons why Cross is outright rejected. For RPGs the story and plot is of the upmost importance and Cross doesn't have a good one.
I AM SO HYPED FOR THE NEXT TWO TRACKS
Omg that was great! I can't believe the next update should be world revolution! I've been waiting forever for that song, it's one of my all-time favorite boss themes! So excited!!
Well, I didn't expect this.....
Epoch's final ride to crash into Lavos.....
I'm very curious how it all turns out now.
Damn guys, what an amazing job you did.
Me Before facing lavos: certainty of death small chance of sucsess....what are we waiting for?
I wonder if you could mix "the great north cave" with sephiroth's meteor being casted in to a good musical
Chills, man. Absolutely brilliant.
Goosebumps...
I love to see this in a comic series with Juno's artwork. Also great job, I can't wait for the Finale with everyone there.
The scariest thing about Lavos is that it can have children. Implying that there may be more of it out there.
They need to be at least 64,988,000 years old to do any real damage.
@@Jaydove2387 oh... i didn't realise Lavos was, or had to be that old. But who's to say he has no siblings that aren't. Also that wouldn't negate the fact that there might be more.
This is awsome
It all comes down to this
Great Job to the team this is a masterpiece of a game and the musical helped it make it better keep up the great work!!!
i need the battle portion extended, god these lavos fights themes are all so good
Awesome video
That moment where you want to blame a dislike on Lavos but find Lavos in the comments praising the video
Ooooh, this is really really good. I can't wait to see World Revolution, that's easily my favorite track in the game.
everyone going to be on the final battle nice
When you check this channel for the first time in a few months and realize you missed several new songs....
and the epoch had been slam into lavos, making the epoch destroy. and that means all timegate will be close forever until like a future event
Saw it in another video, but wasn't that the kid from Undertale?
Yup that’s Frisk
Great work as usual! What will happen next? We'll stay tuned for the next update!
coulda just used the bucket...
More like hate the Epoch
I'm a lonely person
was looking at frames 2:54 and it looks like they're foreshadowing the Lavos Core, anyone else see that?
Can you do a cover of one of the songs in the Ori games?
this sort of makes me think... when does the humanoid part of lavos form during its development and growth. also this is an amazing song.
I see frisk..
I hope they got an extended warranty on that ship
I always thought of Lavos as just some hungry monster. But hijacking the post-apocalyptic human's song of resignation (or perhaps it was a semi-triumphant anthem celebrating humanity's will to survive)? Now that's evil.
That escalated quickly!
Epoch noooooo - i love this
2:26 did this man get hit in the eye with a Lavos needle
I bet he did after seeing a needle bust up his phone.
Time for the finale.
