Thanks for this, you've inspired me to bring my Trinidad out of the virtual hangar and give her another outing or three!

These older planes are only worth it when discounted. That's how I got this one. I love the look of it both inside and out. It's had a few updates and the graphics have improved some especially the upper area inside the cockpit that shows fuel amount, etc. although I don't know if they are modeled to work.

Quite liked this bird on the few outings I’ve had. Like the low light illumination in the cockpit

Ooh, nice. I'm going to check that one out. I flew quite a bit of hours in the real thing ( and also in the TB9)
Beautiful aircraft and fun to fly in RL

I really like the look of this one. The visibility is unfortunate since I particularly enjoy sightseeing though.

Its better to keep constant aircraft pitch. If you adjust pitch and power/speed - in particular reduce power at high angle of pitch you are at the risk of stalling the aircraft.

I agree with Philipfoster here, it looks to me like an FSX port job. I have a few four or six seaters in this performance envelope in my hanger. Besides, the dashboard looks a bit too much for my liking. But thanks a lot Jon for this flight, I felt a lot like being flown back to the 70s, that kind of feeling":)

This was great when I got it, it was absolutely one of my favourite GA planes. But that was 2 years ago, there's been a lot of aeroplanes under the bridge since then and it's showing its age a bit. You need to keep the mixture properly leaned to get proper performance, it's definitely not full rich set and forget.

I have this aircraft. What I noticed, and I feel is a strong shortcoming, is that there is no shadow in the machine, as in other machines. No light shines through the window. If you turn the plane around, you will notice that there is no part lit by sunlight anywhere, not on the dashboard, or anywhere in the plane. The other is that there is no sound when the landing gear is released and retracted! There is no sound of the door opening or closing!
Then, which is a very big mistake, this aircraft doesn't know nearly the speed it should know!
"Climbing to 25,000ft. At this altitude, the TB21-GT produces true airspeeds of around 190kts at only 75% power"
I could get a maximum of 169 knots out of it at 90% throttle, at 12.000ft altitude and 163 knots out of it at 90% throttle, at 18.000ft altitude/so that the wind speed is 0 knots / which is sad compared to what you should know!
There are major shortcomings with this aircraft!

I had no problems controlling it. Have you updated it ? The developer has apparently updated it repeatedly since it first came out.

I own this for a long time in MSFS as i have a soft spot for Tampicos (first flight was on a TB9) and flew it a lot but it has a lot of bugs and simply utterly wrong shortcomings that they never adressed:
-Performance is wrong.. it wont cruise at 175knots in cruise settings.. it wont even with full power ..it will at 135ish .... so its fuel compsumption
-I have flown it over the Everest at 30000f (without slewing or teleporting) wich i dont think you cant in the real one
-Cockpit visibility, modeling and textures are not brilliant.. cockpit camera shows too much frame arround wich you wont see in the real airplane
-Cockpit lightning is also not brilliant.. tought i have seen way worst in payware planes..
-Several dials are wrong.. most notably the EGT wich seriously makes hard adjusting mix manualy.
In short this looks seriously like a half ported plane from FSX or XPlane without much bothering or even a free one.. but at 30€

    • @sparrowlt
      @sparrowlt Год назад

      On its defense:
-Flight model feels good.. heavy and responds good , i also have seen other payware planes similar behave like F-35s
-Take off roll looks very good unlike other mentioned pay aircraft wich acelerate like fighter jets and get airbone at 40k after like 50m roll
