I'm old enough to have followed the golden age of Bonneville land speed records in the 1960s involving Craig Breedlove and Art Arfons. With this present quest for ultimate speed, the scale might be smaller, and lives are not on the line, but the excitement and technology battles are just the same. Loved every moment of watching your journey and the exacting processes you go through to achieve your goals. Excellent work Raz, keep up the good work.

Of all do respect, you don't have to keep things hush hush just because others are still "working hard" to get to where you're at or a little bit above, if you want to share on how you got your speed, even if it's faster speeds than others that are still trying real hard to get there, so be it! You can still share how you've done it and still have respect for others, I've been at this game for a long time myself, and if someone decides to share their build and is achieving better results than me and I am still struggling to achieve the same goal, so be it! Just because people are butt hurt that you achieve your goals sooner than they did doesn't make you less of a respectable person than they are. It's sometimes amaze me that people are jealous of your success and criticizing you , trying to minimize your sharing your success.

    • @Nordlicht05

online communities in general for all things are mostly difficult. Yes no one should be offended if someone got good results on anything. I mean there was no agreement in not showing something like the car manufacturers make with testing RUclipsrs.
But the problem often only comes from a very very small group. This appears often as big when happening online and people mindlessly jumping into it.
      Just my to cents.

If someone doesn't show, I don't regard it as valid. As a viewer, evidence or validation is extremely important, especially in this social media age where clout chasing is a huge issue, and people are constantly chasing juicy headlines and content. As you mentioned, they don't need to show specifics, but at least take the body off and let us see it's a single motor if you're claiming the fastest single motor run.

As far as I’m concerned, both of you ( and all the others) make me want to go faster. You can have all the information in the world and accomplish nothing with it if you don’t have the skills to make it happen.
You don’t see people in 1:1 land speed or drag racing tell people all about their build. Even if they did, most people couldn’t or wouldn’t be able to recreate it.

From 501 Speed Crew aka the Kayes: Speed running secrets are just that. Any sport you go to there are folks trying to get an edge. We all do that here, all of us. These cars are also very dangerous at these speeds. So please be careful and please take a fire extinguisher with you. Make sure it works on Lipos. Batteries, Motors, Drag, Distance, Temperature, Wind, and Experience, yes Experience all play a role on how fast you are....The key EXPERENCE. Why do i say this because, you need to know when the right time to run is. Guys stop the hate mail to all of us. We are all just trying to help you and share what we have accomplished. I learned a-ton from Phil, James, Raz, and many others over the years, but nothing beats research and time on the runway. James never gave me the answers but asked questions that helped me learn. So if you are stuck and need help, ask questions, ask them to mentor you.

Who wants to watch a movie that they’ve already seen other people make three or four times? This is not hate mail at all I love you Rozz keep innovating brotha.
I think you’re the one who will take this to the next level. I think it is very important that we get better tires and more capable speed controllers. Then the only problem will be keeping the cars on the ground. Which I think could be addressed with a vacuum fan sucking the car down to the ground for more downforce.

    Suggestion :
Have someone drive your speed run car down the runway in there car.
With you standing in the middle of the runway then driving all the way down to the end of the runway you are essentially starting your speed run with a partially used battery. I feel like those few Milla amps that you are wasting driving down to the start point of your speed run would definitely help you achieve a better result.

I appreciate your attitude. It's not about whose best all the time. Your example of building the base of the piramid first is a great analogy.
Actually I have a personal goal, just cracking the hundred mph club and getting my Limitless back in one piece. I have to admit, when you are running one of these cars of yours and it goes hurtling past the camera and the sound it makes kind of "redshifts" and sounds like a real F1 car it leaves an impression. You all are just standing there as it approaches LOL! I think I'm going to get behind or in a real car or behind a building and watch from around the corner. Maybe a bomb shelter.......
My other speed run mission is a 10th scale Senton chassis with narrow and lower suspension arms and the hubs and tires all tucked up inside the fenders of my favorite lexan pickup truck. I don't know what they make ARRMA chassis and suspension parts out of, pretty sure they found the stuff at Area51. Making "adjustments" to the chassis actually requires industrial bits, I actually pulled out aircraft tooling to work on this thing🤪. Making aftermarket suspension parts fit a ARRMA chassis is an adventure. I think it's fun to do the mods and success or failure it will be fun to get something not made to go fast up around 80-100 mph.

The way I look at it is are those people paying for your gas to run your test are they buying the gears for ur cars are they buying the battery’s. NO so in that case they cannot control you this is why your channel is successful and the other people that are doing crazy numbers as in miles per hour they only have a little bit of views 😂 that’s the reason no one watches them and everyone watches you because you share information and you like to make people knowledgeable on the hobby the sport the brotherhood those other people who act like it’s top-secret FBI type things no one watches their channels😂 so Again I say thank you for being unique and not like the rest of them they only care for their cars and their secrets and that their bills are paid by us viewers no thank you to them🎉

People can do what they want, but I'm with you Raz. Whether it's greed or whatever behind why people hide information from others, they're just holding progress back.
For years I have been vehemently opposed to the concept of copyright. People think there's no reason to do things if they can be copied, but the reality is that progress would come faster and the market would reflect prices and quality rather than people buying from companies they hate just because nobody else is allowed to put out a better quality or cheaper product.
If copyright laws existed when the wheel was invented we'd still be living in the stone age.

It seems to me that the 200mph mark is near impossible, the conditions have to be perfect the weather has to be spot on, and all these upgrades and perfect pass parts don't forget the battery plugs, doesn't get you to the 200mph mark.
Seen all your videos where you nudge this number or that number, have all these big cars with big motor's and all the science behind it yet still you don't do 200mph plus
    Or even close.
How many videos will you make like this?

IMO don't be so soft and take this hobby so seriously that you get butthurt for every little thing. It ruins the hobby. If you need to seek validation for everything it's not healthy. If person is so confident in what they have achieved then there is no reason to get butthurt. Let the Perfect Pass man do his thing and stop whining like babies. Raz, love your videos buddy!! I learn something every time I watch a Videos, but not everybody does speed runs. Could you please do some videos of bashing, off-road, and some upgrades more importantly, for guys like me? I really appreciate it!!!

All Good Raz, you didn’t say anything wrong at all. Fellas if you haven’t shown your build that’s ok to, Raz chooses a different route. Respect all around the board. Maybe guys will share a bit more. It is healthy and breeds competition to raise the bar higher and push yourself harder Gentleman. Respect 💯! Now as an RC Community let run these numbers!!!! I’m still very slow @ 123mph

A PB is a PB, no problem. BUT, to claim a WR requires PROOF. Raz is totally correct in this respect.
To ask for proof is NOT disrepect, it is simply asking for proof.
The notion / challenge of the fastest single motor, two batteries speed run is a brilliant one.
Competition is not competition without rules that have to be proven to have been adhered to, obviously...
    Raz, very well said. 👏👏👏

at the end of the day everyone has the right to share as much as they want. if others don't want to share their build, that's their decision. but don't hate or try to tell others not to share their "secrets". Guys at the end of the day they are just toys. The hobby is ment to be enjoyed, and being helpful towards others helps grow the hobby.

I remember you getting this same type of flack for revealing speed secrets when you’re channel was new. This was inevitable. The better question is: Why do these other speed runners feel like it is your duty to keep speed secrets? Did you take an illuminati blood oath? They need to stay in their lane if you ask me.
I know how to read between the line - a properly configured two motor car seems like an easy way to get over 200 mph. The real challenge is doing it with a single motor. Let them prove it by showing they did it with one motor!

If you went to the movie, and they showed you the end of the movie in the first ten minutes would you stay? Great anology!
As a manufacturer myself, it makes sense to make products for the masses, however, at some point you miss a lot of opportunities if you rush to the finish. Your journey makes sense on so many levels to me Raz. Not everyone wants nor can afford a world's record car out of the gate, nor are they capable of handling one due to their lack of experience. Hope that made sense.

Try the cheap stick on heat pads for aching muscles on your battery packs on the runs , if you've ever rode a motorcycle you'd understand wind chill factor. Works wonders on my electric bike and rc crawlers battery life and strength all winter 👍

You could even give exact gearing and motor set-up and still people wouldn't hit the same speed..so many variables at this level of speed runs.would like to see a video of two different people with the exact same gearing and esc and motor to see the difference in speeds!

1/7 and 1/8th drag and speed run are cousins - its very interesting to hear Raz talk about his journey. Its obvious that there actually IS competition - while its unspoken - its there lol
