I would have lost my mind at all those people casually chatting in the background around 3:00 - how can they ignore this unique rendition of Star Treatment, feels like this is what it would have sounded like on The Car
Likewise, tranquility base is an amazingly composed album, so much depth and people don’t appreciate it
Imagine going to a concert, queuing for ages to get to the front, just to then keep chatting with your mates. 🤦🏻♂️
hey mate, i adore tranquility and every song on it with my whole life and it is my favourite arctic records but, they’re clearly having a great time, it’s nothing wrong because they can still appreciate the music with still chatting. I know i personally would just close my eyes specially with this song but they have their own lives and let them live it. plus, it’s a sweet and calm lounge song, they can just sway and it’ll sound super majestic.

@@ThwompKid Yeah I think he does it on purpose too& I usually love it when he does it, and the kind of changes he makes to the lyrics...My fave was probably when he once switched the original "Knee Socks" line to: "You were a stranger in my phonebook I was acting like I knew, cause I had fuck all to lose!" :D

I absolutely love Star treatment and the rest of the TBH&C album, I'm so glad that they decided to play something different from it! I hope to see Batphone back one day as well-

@@tonym3697 I was actually "two-fisting" as my good friend @lairygirl calls it 😂. Because this was such a rare moment, streaming with my phone for a live report and using the more heavy camera at the same time for RUclips for the ages. And it was indeed the third surprise in a row I was filming already...

Oh my god this is just incredible. I have always wanted to see this live, but sadly wasn't able to since it wasn't part of their live setlist when I saw them live. Star Treatment is my favourite song of all time, next to Daydreaming by Radiohead. This is just fucking incredible.

haha that change to the first lyric was cute.
The wah pedal in the intro was a really nice touch for this song, I'll definitely try on my guitar.
a really beautiful rendition of the song IMO, unlike the four out of five performance 🙁🙁
as much as I prefer the original version with pianos/Wurlitzers, it still sounds beautiful this way - can't really go wrong with adding more guitars imho
the drumming just doesn't feel right in their latest 4/5 renditions unfortunately, but it's cool they're trying new things!

Dead crowd, Austria never fails to let a live act down with their mild atmosphere
It's 'Star Treatment', not 'You Probably Couldn't See For The Lights'... Also I'm afraid these are the current crowds worldwide.
@@strangedaysindeed9 its not hard to sing the words, I don't expect you to jump about but you can at least have a singalong. Not in Argentina and the UK won't be like this.

The monkeys were so lame that day, the crowd fell to the level of the band not the other way around.
