Watched the fight live and MVP was way faster and better. Ian had him on the ground the entire first round, and had him clinched for majority of the third. 2nd round was the only good round without too much clinching which MVP dominated

Look, I had money on MVP winning, I lost. As much as I'm not a fan of Machado, he won because he grappled, MVP knew this..they were well aware of him training in Brazil. This far down the line in MVPs career he should be better on the ground. Ian won r1, mvp r2 and Ian won r3 at a push - judges were never gonna allow a draw. You have to adapt in mma/ufc this isn't just karate or kick boxing.
