I'm a senior golfer (71) who marshalls on a busy course on a Saturday. Hardly a Saturday goes by where I don't find a range finder or one is turned into me by other golfers for me to find the owner (also clubs, wallets, head covers etc). I bought my 3rd Bushnell golf watch from Maplehill Golf, a great company, because I just wanted basic yardage to the pins & hazards.
I an quit please with the watch & it suits my needs thought I an still learning some of the features & my tech support (my grandson) is going away to university soon.
Alcohol has the effect to make people lose things! I'm glad you are liking the Bushnell watch as much as I am! Like you mentioned, it can be a very simple watch for basic yardages. The updates with the hole layout and colored screen just make it that much better! I hope you enjoy your watch! I just got this watch as a Father’s Day gift! I think this is going to help a lot. I do have the Bushnell rangefinder so between both of them I should be set!
Happy Father's day and congrats on the watch! Let me know how you like it! The watch will be great for general yardages around the course and for hazards. The rangefinder will be good to get exact distance to the pin! Can't go wrong with using both. Now you just need a Bushnell wing-man and you'll be all set!
I am looking to purchase the Bushnell Ion Elite in the next couple of weeks. I have looked at all the other watches out there and I feel that the Ion checks all the boxes for me as I don’t need the pedometer as my iPhone already has that and I don’t need the health/sleep monitor like Garmin. I already have the Bushnell V5 range finder, so this watch I think is going to be a great addition to my everyday and golf needs.
Not only does it NOT give club recommendations, you also can NOT assign a distance to a club. If you want to keep a note of club distances, you have to write it down. I have a Garmin that saves club distances, but if you chip or pitch with a club, that affects the club average distance. So I prefer the Bushnell version and only save those distances that I want to save.
Had the same problem with pairing as in this video. I'm returning the watch,

Hopefully someone can help me here...everytime i try to charge it a white screen apears with a battery icon i tried cleaning it and everything idk wat to do
Sorry to hear that your watch isn't working. I've never had that happen. It might be an internal issue with the battery or even possibly the cable/pins it connects to. Bushnell really needs to convert to usb-c charging on their watches. Their products come with a 1-year warranty. You might want to reach out to someone from Bushnell to see if they can help even if it's outside of that 1 year time frame!
Maybe i just better luck than you did with one of the cons. First time i used the gps found the course less than 45 seconds.
The area it's searching in might cause it to be quicker/slower depending on the GPS signal. After using it a handful of times, mine still seems to take a few minutes on average. I'm glad yours is working good!
How do you get notifications? Does it buzz or just a display icon?
They only give 3 options for notifications. 1. Pop up notification. 2. Call sound. 3. Text sound. These all are controlled individually so you can turn on/off whichever ones you want. However there is no option for a buzz or vibrate. The call/text sound is a ping noise. I wish there was an option for vibrate.
HOW DO STOP OR CANCEL THE GOLF GOPS MODE?
Hello, you should be able to hold down the side button and a menu will pop up to allow you to select end round.
I can't get to a code. Bushnell Golf COULD NOT FIND ANY DEVICE. Please try again. I have turned everything off and on again... still not working. I reset the watch to factory. Not sure what else to do.
Hmmm.... you may have a malfunctioning watch. However, it took me a while to initially connect as well. I seem to have good luck when I open the Bluetooth menu on the watch first and turn on the Bluetooth and wait for the code to appear and then once I see the code I will go and open the Bushnell app on the phone and add the device to connect. For some reason seems to recognize the watch right away. Hope this helps!

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that! I struggled to get mine to pair as well. After multiple attempts it finally seemed to work. Luckily it only needs to be paired once. I hope you find one that works good for you!
Course finding-Bad every day use and charging makes it a no go for me.
Would not buy again.charging a pain, and in use jumps to different page.Liked old top of lie better
