I love my GTX480, sure it's an oven and requires a reflow every 18 months, but it still plays games fine in most situation, and keeps me warm in these cold days. Though I guess my CPU is really the main issue, a Celeron G1820 is really too slow. If only it had more than 1.5Gb, it could still be a good performer. Or at least, get rid of the micro stutter. It's still pretty impressive for an 8 years old card. I remember a time when a 1 year old card was already outdated beyond use.
Nice! I'm rocking an AMD II X6 1100T @ Stock speeds, and a Gigabyte HD7790 with Crosshair IV Formula and 8GB of RAM. Still holds up pretty well today, can play games like GTA 5, BF1 with EASE @ 1080P.

Relinkosed019 I haven’t tried it with the new update. I would expect it’s very playable with VL settings at 1080p. VRAM is still an issue, but shouldn’t stop you from playing it.

I'm surprised you dont have a capture card on one of your systems to capture the other's footage for no bottlenecking your "benchmarking" rig on cpu usage. The old stuff just cant keep pace with the little whippersnapper new gfx cards. Damn kids on my lawn 😣

I have a DVI cable and an mini hdmi cable. Neither will put out a video output to my 1440p monitor. only my 1080p monitor. The mini hdmi says it only supports up to 1080p but idk why DVI doesnt work unless it needs to be dual link.
LuckyTheWolf15 well I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to stuff before my time but. Try updating the card to the latest drivers or go to tomshardware on the forums. People there can help you out more than anyone can.
WHAT!?! This is making my Titan Xp look bad in Fortnite! I seriously don't even run 1440p for that game (my monitor is 4k, but its really low fps then). I run 1080p mixed settings. I've pretty much given up using ShadowPlay (so bad, it can pretty much freeze, actually sometimes it does making you loose the match). With 1080p mixed I usually get 200 fps, but sometimes its only 150, and recording just kills it (like to 0.01 fps, like I've learned to hide in smoke screen, then throw a second smoke screen and hope it starts working again...) Why hold onto your GPUs? The price will be dropping a lot (cryptocurrencies ate poo recently). That RX is worth gold practically, and you might be able to upgrade to a 1070. Though admittedly, ShadowPlay is complete garbage compared to AMD Relive, so if you stream, my goodness, keep the AMD!
I bought my r9 270 non x , for 40 bucks it was this or the rx 460 , Comparing them both now the r9 270 is barely 2% slower, it plays any game i throw at it and its perfect for my 144hz monitor because lowering the settings in these easier to run games pushes them well above 100 frames.

not sure about 580 but the EVGA 680 Classified from 2012 has 4GB still runs pretty much everything on high unless you start getting higher res
580 3 GB would basically be faster than the base PS4.
Rares Macovei PS4 GPU is 7850 which should be faster now.
PS4 uses a HD 7870 clocked under 7850 overall speeds. A HD 7850 is faster than a PS4. A PS4 is more akin to a HD 7790/260X in real world performance

GTAV was saved by your CPU, I own FX 6300 + 1050 Ti and I get FPS drops to 30's no matter what settings at 1080p.

Just using DVI. Max resolution for the card is 25X16.
As far as I know all gpu scale to the resolution of your screen if it supports it. My 780 does 4k no problem... well on free to play stuff.

As long as you use Low or Medium texture settings, you can play on High and 900p/1080p mostly anything. (basically equivalent PS4 console settings)
