THANKS FOR WATCHING!
I am totally convinced that, by the number of dishes that keep appearing in my kitchen, there are people living here that I have yet to meet.
😂me too!
Same
Yep. But my 16 year old daughter will randomly wash dishes because she said dirty dishes in the sink make her anxious! Yay!
😂😂😂😂😂
Oh so it's not just me😂
You had another baby!? I didn’t realize I’ve missed so many videos! Congratulations ❤🎉
That portion of the video was old footage at their other house so I’m thinking that comment referred to her first and only baby.
As a woman diagnosed with ADHD, I would love to see an interview with yourself and an ADHD professional (like Dr. Barkley) talk about cleaning tips and strategies for people like us.
Great idea.
Have you also seen cas / clutterbug’s channel? She has ADHD and share tips too @clutterbug
I would love this
@Clutterbug Cas' channel is pretty good addresses ADHD related types around the house.
@@venus1215 love Clutterbug. Butterfly here!
Is there any way we can watch a full length video of this to body double with you while we both clean???
I love that the cats tolerate you vacuuming the pillows, but had enough when you get closer vacuuming the floor 😂
Hi. I prefer to watch the parts that are not fast forwarded. So more relaxed and easy to watch. I even skip the other parts.
No sink scrub? There's so much scum .. 😬 toothpaste stuck on?
My beautifulmother moved in as my housemate aka I'm her care giver. It has been so hard to get things done with so much to do. Wish you lived closer.
Your bedroom color is sublime and the perfect color! The ceing light is perfect!😊 I'm in disbelieve your using fabric softners in your washer/dryer!😮 I haven't used them in about 30yrs now.
My biggest barrier to vacumming is that my cat is terrified of the vacuum cleaner. Even the sight of it scares him so I keep it hidden in a toy box and try to vacuum quickly when he is outside.
Get a stick vacuum. They're quieter and easier to maneuver. I think you can get one for around $170 or so.
My cats hate the vacuum cleaner as well! As the commenter before me suggested, I also recommend a stick vacuum cleaner as it really is a lot more quiet. I also try to vacuum the rooms they're currently not in and close the doors to minimize the disturbance.
My boy was just the same. Large plastic trash bags ('shaking' them to open), storms, vacuum cleaner and fireworks were his biggest fears even since we had him. Imagine vacuuming with a scared, strictly indoor cat that sheds like crazy when under stress (British Shorthair). When you finish vacuuming, it's already time to do it all over again. 🙈 What we noticed is that he is actually terrified of the noise, not of the item itself. We have three (!) vaccum cleaners and only the newest one (and the most expensive one, if I may add) is the one that makes the least amount of noice out of all three. It is also the best, suction power is amazing and the investment was so worth it, we actually enjoy vacuuming and cleaning our apartment. We can easily throw other 2 vacuum cleaners to trash, but we'll be keeping them for our vacation home. The vacuum cleaner is mounted to a wall next to his cat tree, and after a good sniffing session it is now a part of his territory. He is now not terrified when I vacuum - in fact, I vacuum his cat tree with him being in it (or on it, depending of which part I need to vacuum), and he lets me. When I vaccum the rest of the apartment, he sleeps through it or looks me with judgy 'you missed a spot, Ms.' look on his face 😄 see it as an investment to the future and don't be scared. Introduce the vacuum cleaner to your cat, leave it out for a couple of days, so he doesn't see it as an enemy or a threat to his kingdom. When you start vacuuming, ocasionally pause to stroke him and give him some treats here and there, and when you finish with vacuuming offer him his favourite snack/meal as a way of 'thank you for your understanding'. Conditioning at its finest. In no time he'll learn to relax and wait patiently for it to be over because he knows it will all be fine, it won't last long, he'll get strokes and food. Patience is a virtue, especially when it comes to cats ❤️
@@andreao8535 Thanks for the advice. He was feral and I can mow the grass right next to him without him being scared but indoor things freak him out. He is also scared of plastic trash bags and the microwave and the toaster. 🙈
I noticed you have cats could you do a video on how to fully get pet hair off of couches and clothing please. We adopted two bulldogs and I hate the pet hair everywhere but love them and tips would be greatly appreciated.
Rubber brush or squeegee does really well most of the time for 2 cats and a husky here! I still give up cause that is a lot of hair. All the time. Lol😂
I was wondering about vinegar for a laundry detergent? Can you just use a half a cup for your towels and clothes as all the chemicals in these laundry detergents are getting to my skin!
Yeup! I am chemically sensitive, and had stopped using detergent and softener and started using vinegar when I had an issue with my washer. Was so scared they would try to void the warranty, but the service tech actually recommended it and warned me that it was much better than any of the homemade detergent recipes because those can gum things up. I've been washing with water and vinegar for years now. Takes about 3 loads to get the old detergent out of a garment, and it might be dingy in that time, but then stays much cleaner because there isn't product for dirt to stick to.
@@GoingGreenMom thank you so much for the information. I appreciate that it takes three loads to get the old detergent out of your clothing.
I had been using free and clear detergent with a half a cup of hydrogen peroxide in a half a cup of water in the softening cycle so it has helped because my water is very hard. I'm going to try the vinegar do you use one cup for one load and put half in the softener in half in the laundry detergent cup? Thank you for your help
@@GoingGreenMom do you use a half a cup of vinegar or a full cup of vinegar and do you put it 1/2 in washing and 1/2 in rinse? I have been putting it right where the soap used to be in a little bit in the rinse? I think it's working well and my skin is improving thank you so much
@KeyofDavid5778 most of the time these days I don't even use the vinegar. When I had a regular washing machine I basically quickly poured to fill the little compartments and called it good. Lol. When I do use vinegar now it is a few glugs right into the water...
@KeyofDavid5778 I had been using free and clear and had reduced to the point I was using about 1/2 what the ultra concentrated detergents called for (basically got it to the point there was no lint in the trap), and I could still see suds from old soap for the 3 loads while the loads ran.
And really glad your skin is clearing up! We also noticed less mood swings and I cut the days with dizzy spells in half.
I also want to know if you’ve had a second child?❤
If I decide at some point my house needs a professional cleaning, what questions should I ask in an interview and what should the answers be? A video on this would be great.
I love that glass star light on the ceiling
Excellent video thanks for that tips
Hey Mellisa
Congrats on the baby! Boy or girl?? How old?
my husband passed away a little over 2 1/2 years ago and I have no energy. The desire is there to clean it, but I feel overwhelmed from the get-go… I tried doing a little at a time, but I still have no energy, it’s not hoarders, but it is definitely cluttered. I have more stuff than I have room for and I just do not honestly know where to begin… I am overwhelmed before I even start…. I tried doing a list, I cannot stick to it… If I am cleaning the dining room, suddenly I see something in the living room that I need to pick up and I get distracted and get back to where I started. Can you help?
Sorry for your loss. It is really hard to go through grief. I try to do very small jobs everyday. Try to stay on task. You will feel so much better. 😊
Begin by putting everything from the kitchen that you are not using everyday in a large box and then clean the kitchen. Then each day pull a few items out of the box and determine if you really want it. If you want it, clean it and find the right place for it. Maybe donate the stuff you can do without or hire someone to list it on eBay for you.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Deep breaths. Try to be kind to yourself first you have a lot of emotions your mind is trying to process. Have you always been like this? (If I am cleaning in the dining room, suddenly I see something in the living room that I need to pick up and I get distracted). I am diagnosed ADHD-and I have always done this because we respond to all stimuli making it hard to complete a goal. I’m not saying at all you have it-but it may be worth looking into as I was diagnosed later in life and it could have helped me knowing this was going on in my brain so I wouldn’t beat myself up for getting overwhelmed with cleaning.
@@TiffTheTyrant hi! Thank you ~ Yes I have always been like this but it seemed worse with my husband’s passing…. I’m overwhelmed all the time… everyday I say 2 things without fail: I’m sorry and I dont know what to do!! 😭 thanks for the advice ❤️
@@glendawoodward8750 thank you, I appreciate the advice ❤️
My brother used the hoover nozzle to get a massive spiderweb in the corner of the living room ceiling. But he scraped the textured wallpaper and it looks awful 🤦🏻♀️ Your way is much better.
Did you have another baby??? You said "I have a baby now" in your kitchen cleaning segment.
She’s pretty skinny too. Must be all that cleaning.
Sometimes she recycles clip
Why does that matter?
Hi! How do you conceal the tv cord?
We use a product called cord hiders at my house, it’s like a plastic tube that you can paint to match your wall and it camouflages the cable. You can still see the hider, but it’s a major improvement. But I’m also wondering how she hides hers because I don’t see anything at all coming from her tv 👀
If Beau says it's bad, it's bad. It's time for positive action and I don't mean violence..
Thank you Melissa!!! Needed a recap video too remind me how and when!!! Thank you!!! ❤
Can you please share the paint color on your bedroom walls? It’s gorgeous!
I couldn't find the recipe for the granite cleaner.
Great tips.
Just curious, does no one use a hoover with a lead/cord these days, rather than a cordless one? I’m in the UK & have a Henry hoover & he’s great, especially his smiley face.
I also still use a mop & bucket.
Also, I know that loo brush thing is great but what do you do if someone does a no 2 in between cleaning the loo? Do you have a normal loo brush for this?
I have a normal corded vacuum!
I have to admit I needed this video thank you my friend for your hard work on these videos! Your much appreciated ❤
You are so welcome!
Wiping up the tops ,a dish of warm water with some dish soap and a cloth and it all gets dust free, compared to spraying.
Wiping up the tops?😮

Ewwww… paper towels (disposable ) only for the bathrooms!!!
P.S. You’re great!
I use paper towels in kitchen to clean up when we prepare chicken, etc to prevent infections.
