@@CleanThatUp Also, it would give me a better idea of how much effort to put into it, if you also describe how much average time you expect to spend on each task.
The only thing I do differently in regards to the 'order of operations' is that I spritz the toilet bowl cleaner in the bowl before I start with the mirrors (I do 'top-down-cleaning" like you do). This way the toilet bowl cleaner is doing its job and is ready to be scrubbed when I get to it - no more waiting for it to drip down and coat the inside of the bowl with the cleaner before scrubbing it.
I do the same with the tub too! Spray shower/tub area as well as toilet so the cleaners can do their work while I work on the mirror, counter, and sink!
Squeegee your shower walls every time you shower. Use the hand towel you are about to replace, to wipe down the vanity and mirror, just with a bit of water. Use an old toothbrush with vinegar on any hard water buildup. Use a bit of dampened toilet paper to pick up dust and hairs from corners, then just throw it away. Use a designated “toilet” brush to scrub corners of the bathtub and shower floor. Use liquid soap rather than bar soap to minimize soap scum.
I wholeheartedly agree. Makes things seamless and very easy to maintain. My only gripe is the “toilet” brush. I’m sure you mean a designated room brush and not an actual toilet bowl bruh!😅
I keep one of those scrub brushes that you fill with dish soap (oxo i think) in my shower. I keep it filled with Dawn dish soap and a couple of times a week, i just scrub down my shower walls and floor after my shower before I get out. I then give it a rinse with the hand held shower head. Keeps it sparkling clean and only takes minutes.
Thank you so much for the great idea, @dg8273! I already squeegee and wipe down my shower walls after a shower because this place has such hard water, but this is a great idea to do every week or so!
I do the same! Deep clean shower every other week and use the oxo scrubbed 2-3 times o/week after I shower. Huge difference in the tiles! I fill mine w/ vinegar & couple drops of Dawn
FYI ~ I learned a tip from a pro house cleaner, when it comes to cleaning your mirrors in the bathroom turn off the lights... the heat from the bulbs can leave streaks on the mirrors... 😊
I actually have NO room under the cabinet, so I keep a nice, slim wicker basket with my cleaners on the top of the tank of the toilet! 🚽 It works awesome, and THANK YOU for always making such great, informative videos!
Give the light switch , door handle(inside and out), and toilet roll dispenser a good wipe. If the door has moulding or you have artwork they need a dusting as well.
I can't use the regular microfiber cloths on mirrors. They leave some type of specs/lint/spots. The more I rub to get them off, the more appear. I now use the specialized microfiber cloths for glass. They work perfectly.
Thank you, Brandon, this was one of my favorites. I enjoy cleaning the bathroom and your methods are very logical and organized; I especially like your laminated checklist! Your top-to-bottom approach is spot on. When I begin, however, I remove everything from the counters, the doggie water bowls (the one in the bathroom is out of the way, is in the coolest room in the house, and splashes don't matter as much), the soap and toothbrush, then begin with the products. I'm always concerned the overspray from cleaning chemicals might contact those items, so removing them first avoids this and makes for more efficient cleaning. I also wipe down all items before replacing them, as well as toilet roll holder, towel racks, shower rod and shower head/stem. Great job, and nice looking bathroom 😁👍
I have two bathrooms, so I got a cart from Target to co-locate all my needed supplies to roll from room to room. I also now have a bucket from Target to store all my counter top stuff I remove before cleaning - I got that from watching your videos! I also use a scrub daddy wand scrubber that you put soap in (I don’t use that feature) so that I can scrub my shower walls without getting in the shower, which has worked wonders!
Thanks again, @CleanThatUp! You and other content creators literally inspired me to clean my bathroom. I spent about 4 hrs last week, just taking my time with it, and using that time for solitude and reflection. It wasn't fully cleaned, and I just aimed for making progress on a variety of surfaces. Love the cleaning caddy idea! And I know what you mean when you say sometimes we can go into deep clean mode, lol that happens to me every time I clean! I will keep that in mind 😄. Love your channel, you always give such good tips and it's always entertaining to watch your videos! I've learned so much 🤗 love it!
I read that the towel rack is the dirtiest place in the bathroom. You should add that (I like to clean the toilet paper dispenser as well since it sometimes gets replaced with dirty hands) to your checklist. I've found that a dish soap scrubber with Dawn to hit spots on the wall while in the tub gets me longer between scrubbing the tub walls. I do still need to scrub the basin quite a bit, but going longer between bathtub wall scrubs makes the bathtub part much faster during cleans.
If its any help I get on well popping my scrub daddys in a sneakers wash bag ( to avoid pulls on clothes) and pop then in the washing machine then dry on a counter stood on their sides - bern working great :o)
I always use CLR for hard water stains. Then something with bleach and / or antibacterial cleaners. Texas has really hard water so I clean it 1x every 2? Or so weeks. 😊
Another great video, Brandon. Thank you! I appreciate descriptions of all the products/tools you use. Everything I’ve purchased that you have suggested works great! 👍🏼😁
I love your cleaning caddy idea and the laminated checklist!!! I bought the BKF products for my shower and they are outstanding. Thank you for the recommendations! I recently replaced my sink faucet with a faucet that pulls out with a hose (like a kitchen faucet) and I love how easy it makes cleaning. It has a “blast” setting (that’s probably not the official name lol) which is helpful for removing gunk like dried toothpaste. I also replaced my toilet seat. Careful when cleaning the seat! Many of the seats I found indicated in their cleaning instructions that harsh chemicals, like bleach or acids, shouldn’t be used. The seat that I bought (by Bath Royale) came with instructions that said to use a dish washing detergent or an APC. I use Dawn Powerwash on my seat and Zep on the porcelain. (I bought In-cide after your recommendation, but I haven’t used it yet.) One last thing: I know that a lot of people have their TP rolls hanging next to their toilets. When I was living with my brother, I cleaned the cabinet (where our TP holder was) next to the toilet and was grossed out when I realized that I was wiping dried urine off of it. I’m not going to speculate on how it ended up there, y’all. You can figure it out. I’m just sayin’-if you share a bathroom with boys or men, I suggest putting the holder across from the toilet or on one of those toilet paper stands.
I have the toilet paper stands in each of my bathrooms. It’s so much easier to reach the toilet paper plus the surrounding area stays so much cleaner. Absolutely love them.
Nice! I am SO on board with you with the fiberglass bath/shower. East peasy…..no grout lines. 👍🏻 Now that I’m old and even more lazy, I use a scrubber with a long handle. I have one of those fat “garden tubs” and the long-handled scrubber lets me clean all areas from outside the tub. Thank you! Just ordered a bunch of cleaning supplies thru your Amazon link.
I ruined my shower wall in our brand new house yesterday. The viral dawn dish soap and vinegar left streaks and drip legs in under a minute. It did NOTHING for the hard water stains. (Although vinegar works great and is safe on glass) I’m so upset. The sales office woman told me it was engineered marble, then handed me a specs sheet of the home and it read e-stone. WTF is either?! I knew vinegar was a risk but it did nothing to our other shower wall and I didn’t want to risk using BKF even though it also didn’t do anything on the same material of our countertops. These hard water stains have defeated me and now worse the shower wall looks even worse 😔 Then when wiping out the tub, the tub is peeling. How the actual F does an acrylic tub peel? 🙄 This house is not even a year old - just goes to show that modern day materials are absolute garbage and a rip off.
Unfortunately, new houses aren’t worth the press board they’re made of. They draw people in with the new house smell, fancy kitchens and sparkling bathrooms which all start to fall apart within a few months…… no real good bones…….
Sorry to hear about this! When I was told that trendy granite countertops would be included in my new house build as a special, I didn’t research maintaining them and blindly accepted and even picked out a dark color. Big mistake with hard water! By the sink there is buildup. I called the installers, and they said to scrape it with a razor. You absolutely cannot use acids on stone like vinegar. It ruins them. You also have to have it resealed every six months. If I knew all of this, I would have stayed with standard countertops or gotten quartz which uses more standard cleaners. I’m also regretting the gas stove fumes. Yeah instant fire cooks well but I have to open the windows with my asthma. Yes, the gas company checked and said it’s all normal. Next time, I’m getting quartz countertops and an induction stove!
@@moongoddess1978 if you are smelling gas, there is a leak. Vinegar is an acid and even diluted should never be used on natural stone. I wouldn’t even use it on quartz, because it can dull that finish as well.

What works well for me for a fiber glass shower when it is grimey and dirty is Dollar Tree degreaser. I believe the brand is: Totally Awesome. Works well to cut through gross stuff. Spray, wait one minute, scrub with sponge. All good. But it is strong. wear a mask or open window if you have one. Use fan if no window.
Hi Brandon! Could you make a video on how to clean shower drains? The only way I can keep my clean is spraying bleach from different angles and trying to scrub the gunk later, although I tried many brushes and none of them is actually good. But the bleach leaves the plastic very brittle and since it’s in the middle of the shower, it breaks very often. Do you have tips?
First thing I do is the sink. I will use one sponge for everything and I will just use a Clorox wipe to finalize everything. My second task is the bathtub or shower. And the last is the toilet. The reason for this is that I can use a used sponge already and since I will be sanitizing everything one last time anyways. The mirror is also one of the last things I do because you never know if you splash something on it while cleaning. If you have little ones and can’t aim straight and/or you have pets, a urine odor eliminator spray will work great in your entire toilet because it works for every mammal urine.
Oooh, that’s an interesting question! I’ve seen those higher acid vinegars - don’t think you’d have any need for them. Brandon is showing a “light cleaning” herein with the Bar Keepers Friend as a support for a tougher spot. Hope he answers your Q. I’m going to stick with the lighter cleaning solutions. 👍🏻 If you spray his standard spray with regular vinegar….you could let that solution “cling” for a few moments to be more effective before wiping?
Reminder- flushing a toilet sprays out a little of whatever liquid is in the toilet😳 so whatever is kept on the top of the toilet lid will need much extra attention.
I've recently discovered your channel. Thank you so much for all your content! It's been super helpful. I have a few questions, do I have to use Dawn or can it be an off brand? Would you recommend using magic erasers? I'm looking into getting a brush for my drill but was curious about the erasers. How do you clean you rags/microfiber cloths after cleaning things like toilets? I tend to use paper towels a lot for fear of toilet germs getting in other places. Thank you for all you do!
How do you clean the shower floor full of hard water stains and the grout, the mold between the tiles on the walls of the shower room? With what product? Thank you.
Hi Brandon,i'm from Vietnam,my sister is using a type of floor cleaner and as you say that we should avoid floor cleaner that leaves a waxy coating on the floor. Now this type of floor cleaner is promoted to leave probiotics on the floor to prevent from insects,so is it safe to use?I hope that you'll response to my question, thank you anyway.
How often do you change your gloves while cleaning the bathroom, please? Or do you not? I have OCD, so I want to change them every time I touch something I consider dirty, which is a lot in the bathroom, and I am just trying to gauge what would be normal... thank you so much :)
Hi. I'm curious if you have used the pink stuff all purpose spray? I just bought it yesterday and wondering if it will work in the same way as the bar keeper's? Has anyone here used the pink stuff for the shower?
One of the problems I have with cleaning is trying not to be too hardcore about it. Especially about cleaning the cleaning tools after washing something like a bathroom.
First, thank you for your videos!! I've learned something efficient & practical from every one of them. This may seem like a silly question but do you recall where you got your bathroom cleaning caddy or the brand? I ask because I've used a caddy in the past (in general) but tossed it b/c it was too bulky & my supplies kept falling over b/c the way the bottom of the caddy was molded. Being a professional, I'm sure you've found some favorites & others you chucked. (I'll check out your video on the supplies you use - maybe you mentioned it there?).
Hey there! I think that specific one in the video is from Target. I totally understand where you're coming from, it's hard to find good equipment. I have a full breakdown of what's in my kit on the channel if you're interested :)
So you use the same swiffer duster on the toilet that you used on other items in the bath? Do you discard that duster right after, or use it elsewhere after you've dusted between the tank and the toilet bowl?
Good question. I do keep an older swiffer duster around that I use for the toilet. After it's been used for the toilet I toss it out and don't use it for anything after. Before, yes - after, no :)
I have bathroom tile that is stained! I cannot get it clean to save my life. I’ve tried everything from natural cleaning suggestions to harsh chemicals. HELP!
I know you're not asking me, but I like Shark and Dyson. The ones I have are both cordless, but I am surprised how much they (especially the Dyson) pick up.
Thanks for the video… but I was really hoping to see shower curtain cleaning. We recently moved to Canada and learning cleaning home as here we have very different home like wooden floor, bathtub with curtain, carpet… so I am learning to clean everything. Could you please make a video for shower curtain cleaning? find that really difficult. Thanks in advance 😊🙏🏼
What I do at my house and my clients: housees as well, is to put up a cloth shower curtain liner and then the nice shower curtain. When the shower curtain liner gets moldy or dirty I just take it down and throw it in the wash, then put it back up. Unfortunately it's really hard to clean a plastic shower curtain liner and eventually you throw them away anyway, whereas this way you can keep reusing the same one.
@@jennasunshine152 Ok. Got it. Appreciate for your response 😊. One more question… How frequently should we wash the liner? I understood when it’s moldy or dirty it’s surely time to wash but with my kids using the bath tub frequently I really need to do it frequently. Is Washing once weekly good? Thanks again for your response 😊
@@kidsproblemsolving493 sure, you can wash it every week! What I would recommend in this case is to get 2 cloth shower curtains. Put one up, and when you need to take it down to wash it, you can put the other one up. That way you don't have no shower curtain liner for a bit, or feel rushed to wash it and put it immediately back up.
@@jennasunshine152 thanks a lot. That actually good idea… and by mistake we bought 2 liners so I was about to return one of them. I will keep that then. Thanks a lot for your response 😊🙏🏼.
@@kidsproblemsolving493 wow that's great!! what a happy accident! Now you have 2 of them and you can use one of them for one week, then switch them out and use the other one for a week. I love cloth shower curtain liners, I'll never go back to the plastic ones. I'm so glad I was able to help you!
How do I clean up the (mineral deposit?) in my tub drain? It's a blue green, it's not fuzzy. I poured distilled vinegar(no baking soda/powder) on it and if anything, it made it worse. 😢
Gloves have definitely helped me get over that feeling! Also cotton terry cloths work great as well for cleaning. I just don’t suggest them for mirrors or glass, for that you can try surgical huck towels.
Have you looked at rubber gloves lately? Depending on what you mean by ‘years ago’ there are many more options now. I remember the dish washing gloves from the 80s (which are still available now) and I really do not like them for anything unless it’s the harshest of chemical cleaner. But the light weight gloves like Brandon is using come in several different weights and are much better for cleaning. You might have to look in a hardware store or online as I’ve not seen this type of glove in grocery stores.
@@paulap7366 - I live alone and don't clean anyone's house other than mine. I can handle my own germs, not really a glove person and I hate the feel of microfiber.
I have little kids in the house so I keep all my chemicals in a cabinet in the garage and not in the house. But I really need to caddy them per room. I always end up carrying everything in my hands and it’s a little chaotic.
How long does it take you to clean your bathroom each week if you are doing this consistently? I need a time frame or else I’m in there all day cleaning. Lol

I read that the towel rack is the dirtiest place in the bathroom.
Great reminder!!
I always close the lid before flushing.
Here’s an idea: Print and laminate the checklists to gift someone for their birthday or Christmas and add the products
Pretty cool idea, especially for newlyweds or 1st time in a new place.
Great house warming gift!
Sounds like a nice way to drop a hint too 😂
Can I have the check ✔️ please?
I might do this for my daughter who's about to move out for grad school
Great video. Love your paint color in the bathroom… what color is it. Thank you
I've recently discovered your channel.
Thank you.
Thank you for this vid. Helps so much. U R Da Best.
I do this everyday😄
We clean our main bathroom daily as well. There are 9 in our family plus we homeschool, so we are using it all day!
One of the problems I have with cleaning is trying not to be too hardcore about it. Especially about cleaning the cleaning tools after washing something like a bathroom.
I bleach & water soak the toilet brush & any rags used. Sometimes a scrub tool, brush & scrub sponge too. Seems reasonable to me.
Could you give us a breakdown of what you like to keep in your cleaning caddy?
Great tips 👍🏼 Thanks for sharing.
I just finished deep cleaning my tub
Let’s go! 🙌
Thank you for this video. I have three bathrooms💀(not bragging) that need my attention.
Hi, Question please, what's your take on Hydrogen peroxide for mold in bathroom, especially around the silicone used in the shower edges
What do you clean the walls with?
Great tips. I could use some advice on how to remove black hair dye from my bathroom mirrors?
Alcohol
So you use the same swiffer duster on the toilet that you used on other items in the bath? Do you discard that duster right after, or use it elsewhere after you've dusted between the tank and the toilet bowl?
Good question. I do keep an older swiffer duster around that I use for the toilet. After it's been used for the toilet I toss it out and don't use it for anything after. Before, yes - after, no :)
I have bathroom tile that is stained! I cannot get it clean to save my life. I’ve tried everything from natural cleaning suggestions to harsh chemicals. HELP!
What kind of vacuum do you have... I'm looking for one but there's so many.
I know you're not asking me, but I like Shark and Dyson. The ones I have are both cordless, but I am surprised how much they (especially the Dyson) pick up.
@@barbarak2836 Thank you 😊
@@toniawhitinger1238 You're welcome! 😊
One more question…
How frequently should we wash the liner?
Can we download these checklists somewhere
Can you do a video on cleaning an RV shower? Its the biggest pain in the ass. I feel like it takes forever!!!
Great tips
How do I clean up the (mineral deposit?) in my tub drain? It's a blue green, it's not fuzzy. I poured distilled vinegar(no baking soda/powder) on it and if anything, it made it worse. 😢
Very helpful video. I think you should change your gloves after cleaning the toilet or clean it last.
We clean our toilet daily,as soon as we are done using it every morning.
Love your bathroom!
How do you keep a Shared bathroom/room clean for longer? They get dirty fast.
I always clean the toilet 1st, then the tub/shower, sink & mirror last. And cleaned with some bleach
Does anyone else hate the feel of microfiber cloths? I've tried a few brands and still can't get past the feel of them.
Have you tried wearing rubber gloves, as he does in the video?
@@NYNC88 - actually no I haven't, I tried to use gloves years ago but it just never caught on for me. I appreciate the suggestion though.
What is that moulding above the bath with a shelf?
Where can I get a copy of that checklist?
What is your neutral ph floor cleaner?
Thank!
What is your neutral ph floor recipe?
I have hair dye stains on my sink and my bathroom floor. How can I remove those?
I have little kids in the house so I keep all my chemicals in a cabinet in the garage and not in the house. But I really need to caddy them per room. I always end up carrying everything in my hands and it’s a little chaotic.
Hey, just wanted to applaud you for keeping the cleaning chemicals away from your kids! Well done 👍🏻
I love love love your videos
Do you use a shower spray daily after showering?
I do not. I do suggest using a squeegee if possible.
Love it!
Wouldn’t it be best to vacuum the bathroom first. Then clean it, then mop? Otherwise the floor will have wet spots when you go to vacuum.
How long does it take you to clean your bathroom each week if you are doing this consistently? I need a time frame or else I’m in there all day cleaning. Lol
Great video 😊
Me: I got inspired through this video and immediately called urban company ...😂😂
This Man should go to The UK and appear on Filth (Hoarders UK Style). Their Houses are smaller and they have so many problems, and the folks who help them have OCD. Then they get to the root of the problem and there are so many issues. Death, Divorce, Loneliness, Loss Of A Job, etc but they get it cleaned, sterilized, and buffed and it's like a Rebirth.
Rather than dusting I would rather while counter’s trays and stuff sitting on them.
thanks, bruv
So cool
How long does it take per bathroom?
I would say about 15/20 mins
When buying a bathroom counter do not get one that has those under ridges like his where dirt gets trapped. Keep it simple.
I just spray water on my mirror and wipe. Comes up clean. No need for chemical cleaner on a mirror.
You only clean once a week?
I need a husband like him, I'm so tired of cleaning the bathroom on and on 😅🙈🙌🏼
