Far beneath the majesty and splendour of the Paris Opera House, hides the Phantom in a shadowy existence. Shamed by his physical appearance and feared by all, the love he holds for his beautiful protégée Christine Daaé is so strong that even her heart cannot resist.
The musical opened at Her Majesty’s Theatre on 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and there have been dozens of productions worldwide since then. Now in its 30th record-breaking year, The Phantom of the Opera continues to captivate audiences at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End, after more than 11,000 performances.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s mesmerizing score along with jaw-dropping scenery and breathtaking special effects, magically combine to bring this tragic love story to life each night. Видеоклипы

The Broadway stage has lost one of the greatest theatrical talents of all time. Hal we have enjoyed your productions over a course,of many decades. You brought so many characters to life through many talented cast members. May we always cherish what you have brought to us on Broadway. Rest peacefully.
Thank you for helping create my first true and undying love, all those years ago, Mr Prince.
Hal Prince helped create one of the most spectacular, moving and enduring musicals in The Phantom of the Opera, and that's just one of his many impressive credits. Thank you Hal!
RIP Hal, you are with God now. Thank you for giving us this memorable musical and beautiful music.
Rest in peace. And thanks for your great job.
R.I.P you will be missed I cant believe that someone would dislike this video
What jerk disliked this video??? If it wasn't for Hal, I don't think Phantom would have made it to 33 years in London and 31 on Broadway
Maybe it was a dislike meaning not liking that he passed.
Rest in peace, you were an amazing person!❤
May his soul forever rest in peace.
Thank you for everything Hal...

Lily Martin Hal Prince was just the director for the Broadway (stage) production. Joel Schumacher was the direction for the film.
