Lily my first and favourite Christine!! I got to see her twice at his majesty’s theatre and Lily was phenomenal!! I even got to take a picture with her at stage door and she was so nice and sweet ! But this sound quality does not do her voice justice!! Anyone criticising should go see her sing in person before judging! Her acting and singing, especially wishing, will blow your mind.
She was absolutely magnificent!
Couldn’t agree more!!! I love her version of “wishing you were somehow here again”, she sings it so well, it’s such a pity we don’t see her singing it on west end live😢
I was wondering 😮 Her second part was definitely better.

Really I saw him in January and felt he was terribly mis-cast.. they need to get Jac Yarrow in that role.
@tmancusorn I'm not a huge phantom fan so I don't know how well he fits the role but his voice is stunnnning

GANTOM MY BOY YES I LOVE JAMES GANT. Also Lily Kerhoas is still one of the best Christines of the 2020s. I love her so much and I really want to see Lily in the London production of Phantom so bad
I was lucky enough to watch the west end production a few days ago and Lily did amazing!!
Seen it twice this year both with Lily & Jon - haven’t yet seen James Gant but glad people like him as I’m (presumably) seeing him Wednesday!

What an amazing three performances, everyone was phenomenal. So glad The gantom himself James gant got to perform the title with lily, it's a shame Jon couldn't because of his injury(He's better now) but yeah wow amazing performances across the board.

Great job! It’s always difficult taking a cast out of an intimate theatre setting and putting them in an open air environment. Bringing musical theatre to the masses. 👍🏻
Due to the speakers theyre using, the "Ahhhhhh...!s" are obviously pre recorded. No biggie tho coz they do that in the actual show coz the actress can't always hit those notes multiple shows a week. It's just the sound system here made that very obvious.

Definitely do it! I saw him in February of this year and I was blown away by his performance. it was so so good
I completely recommend it! His voice is amazing especially live and I feel he deserves more credit for it. 😊
I really wish I could but not sure what dates he’ll be performing. Could probably find out by calling the box office tho..

Doubt she was asked. She’s Christine alternate. Lily is the main one. For 2025 I think she probably will be if she chooses to stay with the show. I hear she’s really good.
@@NotinAzerbaijan Paige Blankson was the alternative and she did west end live last year. Alternates are just as good and sometimes better than the main cast.
something wrong with the mics? or the sound of the video? because the higher female voices seemed to be really quiet
West End Live always has sound problems every year. In some years theres been perfomances that really have not sounded great cos the actors couldnt hear themselves etc. Apparently in a Heathers perfornance one year, the lead actress was crying backstage because of how disappointed she was with how she sounded :(

They're singing live and doing a great job. The West End Live videos always have a bit ropey audio.
Up until the "Sing For me" because the audio changes. At least that's what I think.

West End Live mics are known for being a bit.. bad
@@C33sworld There's also them having to live mix songs from lots of different shows with very little rehearsal. It turns out pretty good, considering.

That's just the fact that it's outdoors and bad mics. I promise she's amazing if you see her live in the theatre :) I wouldn't write her off just from this. Lily is the best

Prima Donna is my least favourite song in Phantom of the Opera. It’s the only song in the whole show I would skip.

I've seen Lily live as Christine and she absolutely does have the range. The sound at WEL is always and she's heading straight into a 2 show day

How can you say she doesn’t have the range when she very clearly does? They don’t just cast anybody as Christine.
Judging by the pieces of paper some of the actors and actress are reading from it would suggest they do not know their lines . I really enjoyed the play overall but this makes it amateurish .Christine and the phantom sound good and they don’t seem to need pieces of paper
Are you joking? The people holding pieces of paper are holding the Phantom's NOTES, a key element to the plot.
Idk if you've seen Phantom of The Opera before, but they are not reading their lines off a piece of paper. The second number is a song that takes place after the Phantom has given the managers a lot of letters. Those pieces of paper are actually props. They don't have the actor's lines written on them, they most likely say the same things as what the phantom writes to the characters in the show. You can see the cursive written on the letters and it would not make sense to write down their lines in cursive. But all of these actors are highly trained and very professional. Pretty much all of them have been in the show for a long time and would not need their lines written down. So that is not the case I promise you. :)
