    The interplay between Ramin and Sierra is amazing. Their voices are magnificent, and their chemistry is off the charts. Every time I watch this recording I see some bit of staging or acting that I didn't see before.

    いつ聞いても心に響きます。20年前ロンドンのマジェスティ劇場で初めて聞いて以来日本でも何度も聞きました。まさに天才の作品です。

      Why would they upload any other version? I suspect the Albert Hall production is as good as Phantom will ever get.

      @ingridmay66 Год назад

      I agree, the movie is definitely better than the 25th anniversary. The mirror bride was not included in this production. So the creepy mannequin is very important to the story.... She faints because she realizes that he wants to marry her...

      @laallaal1078 Год назад +1

      @@ingridmay66 Oh, and there is another even more important thing - the idea of Angel of Music or genius of music and... Well... The best thing any prifessional singer can tell about Gerard's vocals is that he's mediocre. Not good. Not fine. Not special. Just ordinary. Isn't it more important for the story? Not one of many ways to show Phantom's deviance?
      And, okay, if we are here to talk about how creepy Phantom is, please, just remember that 2004 make up of deformities looks like a sunburn. Mostly like average, regular burns, meanwhile theatre (especially POTO25) makes the Phantom look THAT bad, that all the viewers of Royal Albert Hall (more that 5000 of them) could see 2-3 holes in his head, all the scraps of skin, wreckage of this scull etc. Rather important part, isn't it? Because in 19 century there were way too many victims of ignitions, so I'm not sure that it's enough to be Phantom of the Opera.
      You needed something creepy? Well... Wasn't "Stranger than you dreamt it" number quite enough for the first time? Especially the way Ramin Karimloo played it? THAT unhinged and furious? And maybe all the Final lait sequence? With all much more powerful vocal acting in it?
      Oh, and probably this is not a survey of "Which version is better" because you're trying to compare theatre original version of this musical and cinematic version, where the director rejected original author of this musical to be involved into creative process and lost sence in designing of scenes, costumes, decorations and so on, and so on, and so on.
      So, if you like 2004 version that much that you are ready to come here, watch the thing that doesn't satisfy you enough, get to comments section and write negative comment, maybe it is better to spend your time on praising 2004 version without compensating it here, where we love THIS version by telling "it wasn't include crazily important scene" while your option is lost in conception of POTO that much, that there wasn't any music genius in the film? Even though it's the story about genius.
      I don't even understand why the hell... I never saw so many comments from POTO25 fans below POTO2004. At all. But here is always you, guys, to talk about it.

      @chipmunkdoesvr8629 it actually is this show didn't show must of the important parts in the movie I watched both and think the movie is better. Yes they might of had all the phantoms from every movie they made sing in the end but doesn't change the fact they missed important parts in the movie in this

      @@laallaal1078 I mean, the 25th was based off the screenwork and stage work from Marie Bjornson.
