Why do I feel like Toph pulled an uncle Iroh and went into the spirit world. She wasn’t particularly spiritual, but she was more connected to her element than any other bender of her time (especially in Korra, where she could supposedly seismic sense people across the world). Don’t know if it’s possible but I could see her becoming a sort of spirit of nature inhabiting the swamp at the end of her life. Course I could be wrong and she just out lived everyone out of stubbornness but still I think it’s cool end for the melon lord.
It could of been as a last ditch effort to spite her family, noticing her impending death, used her last vestiges of strength entomb herself in the earth of the Swamp somewhere.
I think the misidentification of Avatars by the Earth people, can be a nod to the fact that they are the least spiritual of the nations. So it makes sense they wouldn’t always get the Avatar stuff right.
You would think they would learn to wait until someone can actually bend multiple elements before claiming they're the Avatar. We don't want another Yun situation
Zuko is my favorite character and in many ways he could be considered the actual protagonist of the show. Without Zuko many of the events that Aang needed to happen simply wouldn't have, Zuko saved Aang from imprisonment by Zhao, later taught him fire bending. Also having a connection with Iroh who also helped team avatar in many ways. Zuko is such a great character so well written and the development pace is set perfectly. You hate him in the beginning and by the end you can't help but love him.
The passing of Sozin’s Comet and the debate about the Fire Nation and Air Nation relations is interesting because I know one of the things in Legend of Genji that had been happening was the Fire Nation had been paying reparations to the Air Nation for their ancestors’ part in the Air Nomad Genocide
@Quinzerrak The makers of the comic actually confirmed that the Legend of Genji takes place in era similar to that of the late 1960s-early 1970s. The pictures they have shown definitely show a lot of that, with a fair amount of hippie influenced outfits. Personally, I’m hoping for at least one bending-influenced disco dancing scene 🤣
Since Legend of Gengi is in the late 60s/70s. We hit our missile and space era. What if they try to destroy the comet that is sacred to the Fire Nation?
@@PresbianTier honestly im not shocked about that out of team avatar i feel like katara would live the healthiest lifestyle and since she knows about healing she probably can heal her self.
This is my first time hearing of Legend of Genji, but what I'm interested the most in so far is also how Korra died. The fact that she was killed in Ba Sing Se and everyone knew the next Avatar would be born in the Earth Federation can't be a coincidence.
oooh I like where this is going. I mean, I don't, but the drama. If it was planned. I can't help but feel like some nations have definitely done this in the past.... ugh this is why I love fandom. Y'all point out the craziest, yet most plausible theories
Given what Kyoshi was able to learn from the immortal assassin, I fully expect Toph to still be alive for at least another hundred years. If anyone would keep living just to spite death, it’s toph, and it would be so cool to see her make an appearance
Nah I like the idea that she pulled an uncle Iroh, seeing toph as a peaceful spirit would be nice, like she's the one living her life and I'm the one that feel tired seeing her do that lol, but I guess it's toph so anything could happen
I don't really like the idea of Korra dying so young. Aang dying at age 66 is acceptable because he's past his prime and lived a long happy life after his series. But Korra dying at 30 would just be unpleasantly nihilistic and insulting to the character because after all she went through in the series, she more than earned a long happy life.
It is sad, lol. Imagine how Tenzin must feel about knowing 3 Avatars, Not being there to help Korra, and his personal connection. It must kill him from the inside.
@@LyehtOfficial Oh yeah he must have felt Really hurt. Korra was like a niece to him then just a student. It was great seeing how their student and teacher relationship developed. Tenzin was strict and was expecting too much of his father in Korra, and Korra was too headstrong and impatient and was expecting air bending training to be easy. But at the end of the series they grew to understand and respect each other.
One thing to remember when thinking about teenage relationships winding up in marriage is the era that is being depicted. If you look at people 50 years ago or more, almost EVERYONE married whoever they were dating when they were 18, no matter if it was a good relationship or not. You didn't have dating sites back then, your pool of options was extremely limited. Like, my own mother got married at 19, because that was just what you did back in the 60's and before.
And yet it worked if you wanted a stable, long term relationship with a lower risk of divorce. Nowadays, too many relationships are based primarily on superficiality and selfish hedonism.
So following tradition, it’s likely that the hardest element for Genji to learn will be Fire. Roku struggled with water Aang struggled with earth Korra struggled with air So it makes sense as all the other elements especially earth focus on bending what’s around you while fire draws from ones inner energy.
well korra struggling with air was because it went so much against her personality and because of her lack of spirituality. Usually its just the opposing element making the avatar trouble due to the differences in technique, aka aang as an air bender being nimble and quick on his feet at all times but to bend earth you have to stand steady and be unmovable. While waterbending contains a lot of elegant, clear and circular movements like waves, fire is very straight and blunt. In Legend of Korra the bending styles kind of mixed into this weird MMA style where every bender fights the same, so Korra only struggled with something that goes against her personality.
@@DGSnowolf All true. I didn't really like that aspect of the show, how the styles kind of blurred together. I get the in-universe reason for why, and I think some characters still really make it work, but it was just never as interesting. Felt like the styles lost some of their flavor and personality that way.
I love how a sand bender becomes an avatar. We need more sub-bending type avatars. Genji will probably be very good at air bending because the use of sand bending is very similar.
This is my theory. For genji to master the elements, I think it would go as follows. This is our of order, I know, but Korra was like 4 and was able to bend 3 out of the 4 elements and I don't think it ever really showed the order of her mastering them. Genji would probably learn like this 1. Sand/earthbending 2. Airbending 3. Waterbending + sub-bendings 4. Lavabending 5. Metalbending 6. Firebending 7. Maybe lightning bending He would also, throughout all that, probably learn spirit projection, the avatar state, spiritbending, and other possible forms of bending I may have forgotten. I can post an explanatory comment to explain why he would learn them in this order if you want.
@@justin_glen_with_1_n403 A bit of a hitch. They must learn the elements in the same cycle that started with the first avatar. Son an Earth Avatar will go: -Earth -Fire -Air -Water. Always.
The earth kingdom misidentifying the avatar could be an allusion to the Chinese government and the Dalai Lama… the 14th and current Dalai Lama has stated that the cycle of reincarnation of the Dalai Lama might end with him out of fear that the Chinese government will use it’s power of approving the reincarnation to appoint a figurehead to sway the religious people in favor of the Chinese government… so maybe misidentifying the avatar is a similar way in which the earth kingdom tries to overreach it’s authority…
This seems like it could be the best show yet because it tackles many real world issues and has so many opportunities on where to go in the series. Cannot wait for this show
And it is "just" a fan fic. I'm still confused at what's going on with nickelodeon? Why can't they come up with the next show for avatar after 10years? It has a large fanbase so money will come their way.
That's why it's so sus. Potential drama and power vacuum story line since after a water bender avatar, earth bender avatar is undoubtedly the next one.
I’m probably the only one who could imagine Korra not living very long. I know that sounds like a diss but it’s not meant that day. She’s been through so much already and lives in extremely dangerous, uncertain times for her to have already experienced so much. It’s not that difficult to think she’d sacrifice herself to protect the world.
Something I think would be interesting is if sozins comet passing sparked debate on if it should still be called sozins comet, given the whole genocide tied to sozin. I think also the fire nation should make a festival around the great comet to celebrate the history of fire bending, imagine the dancing dragon like how wan did it but boosted by the comet, or ceremonial Agni kai’s kind of like zuko and azula
When you mentioned Bolin taking the Beifong name, I remembered thinking about the Avatar world and the use of family names in that world. The only family names that comes to mind are Beifong and Sato. I read somewhere (in some comment section/forum) that only rich/influential families use surnames/family names in Avatar so the older generation can pass their wealth and influence to the younger generation. Edit: `Varrick` is apparently a surname. I'm not sure if `Moon` in "Zhu Li Moon" is a surname.
He could end up fixing that. As the next Avatars always seem to fix the previous Avatar's greatest regret. Like Aang stopping the Fire Nation was Roku's and Korra bringing back the air benders was Aang's. Or maybe I'm just reading too far into it...
Imagine not only being not only the avatar mastering all four elements but being a sand bender a combustion bender a blood bender and a metal bender and u can generate lightning
I think combustion bender and blood bender would be a stretch because inorder to do those don't they have to be born from either the fire nation or the water tribe?
@@uncannybook581 Bloodbending can be done by refining already mastered waterbending skills and being amplified by the full moon. Edit: Mastering bloodbending further makes you non-dependent on the full moon to do it.
@@astranix0198 exactly my point , any water bender can learn to blood bend with the full moon but it requires incredible talent and skill, combustion benders are all from a certain tribe
In some eastern cultures, if the family is important enough, a guy marrying into that family would be expected to take in the wife's more prestigious family name. So bolin taking the beifong name should not be that surprising.
I’m a bit worried about the fact that avatar studios would eventually make a series about the new avatar and people wouldn’t like it because of the legend of genji or something like that, also i always think of korra dying when she’s old possibly older than 100 because many avatars died after the age of 100 and i don’t think she would die so easily.
avatar kuruk died at the age of 33. i feel like korra dying at a young age would be related to water but still i don’t like the idea of her dying at a young age.
@@BlushyMotives i don’t think it had anything to do with the water personally, it just so happens that kuruk was a watertribe avatar that died young, i don’t think korra would die so you, especially because now there is more medicine and everything, if anything she should be older than most avatars(not all)
@@petko6926 Shit happens. Even as the avatar she isn't superman (girl). An explosion catching her off-guard is likely to kill. You could also imagine her sacrificing herself to save Asami.
@@AntoineBandele Hey neighbor! The condos are crazy making but it’s the flippers that get me. All of these white houses with grey trims. Keep up the good work, brother.
Maybe Opal and Bolin were exploring more of themselves. Remember, they influenced each other to pursue their own dreams so maybe they wanted to continue without having a child so they can completely enjoy. It makes sense the Beifong have twins because the trait is in the women
I'm definitely on board with this time line. Also I like to mention how History or certain Circumstances tend to repeat itself with each avatar born with each beginning element. Fire: Wan and Roku Started their stories In peace but then thrown into conflict and at the end of their life were unable to settle their conflicts leading to their next life to deal with it. Air: Yangchen and Aang did deeds that were so grand that they were memorialized even to the point that they were seen as idles. Water: Kuruk and Korra were Bending prodigies But were too show boat about it and when conflict came they were unprepared for the Responsibilities that they were trained for. Sure Korra Succeeded where Kuruk failed but you should be able to see what I mean. Earth: Kyoshi and Genji were born in the low class society of the Earth kingdom and were not even recognized as the avatar. We don't know what kind of avatar genji will be, But I suspect he might go through a somewhat similar path as Kyoshi.
Earth Avatars do work baby. From what we have seen, Kyoshi followed the path of honor, and did their job accordingly, without hesitation. At least how I think of it, they are less prone to the peaceful wiles of Water and Air.
@@MasterReaperSID True but not without some glaring mistakes. It was Kyoshi that created the Dailee to be a strong police force for the people but look how they turned out.
I think Korras death might be a assassination attempt or a accident. Personally I think it might be a accident as to me it would add more of a emotional impact than say a assassination attempt which is still plausible that could go one of two ways: 1. Loyal followers of Amon who didn’t believe that Amon was a water/bloodbender as they never witnessed it and won’t believe lies and so they hid underground and merged with the remnants of the Red Lotus both having similar goals. 2. Someone within the 4 nations hired someone to kill Korra because they believe Korra is ruining the world with what she’s doing or it could be someone wanted revenge against Asami and what better way to do that then kill her girlfriend the Avatar. Now for the accident it could be go something like this: As riots from the Sand bender tribes reaches a melting point they march into Ba Sing Sae the Earth Nation capital and demand better living conditions as they could explain during Kuviras small reign they treated the Sand benders as slaves or subjugated them and after her empires fall the nations did nothing to help them and so like many riots some Sand benders wreck havoc and to try and calm everything Korra goes and tries to help with the situation but during this talk someone or group could blow up some fire works for example and cause the building Korra is in to go up in flames and while trying to evacuate everyone she is killed. This could also add a cool character development for Genji when he learns his people were responsible for the previous Avatars death and is conflicted on what to do. On one hand he wants to hunt them down and avenge Korra so that Asami can(if alive still) rest in piece after finally receiving some reconciliation about her Girlfriends death. On the other he wants hide his Sand bending heritage as he feels he shouldn’t belong to a group that killed the previous Avatar. And so he decides on the path and in the end accepts his heritage but still feels guilty because his people were responsible for Korras death.
I love this story that they made for the Avatar world it has alot of potential, the only thing I would change so far is the name of the series ‘The Legend Of Genji’ is just the same as Korras show they should’ve just named it something else
I honestly don’t know if I should be happy, excited or sad. So many passing away- yeah it happens cos death is inevitable but it keeps hurting my heart cos of the bond I have for the Avatar Franchise
Before Korra, there haven't been mention an Avatar actually being related to a leader to one of the nations' leaders before and during their lifetime (not including children and descendants) yet Korra is granddaughter, niece, and cousin of four northern water tribe chiefs (her cousins being third and fourth chief) and daughter of southern water tribe chief.
I am not surprised that mako is the one who got a divorce. But i am interested in what happened leading up to Korra's death and the all developments that occurred in the earth kingdom
Although I can appreciate the reasons they have Korra die early, I don’t think it really fits well with her character. She has been known to stop explosions in their tracks. Plus, she is just the most powerful avatar. I think they should just slow the progress of the world so it’s like the equivalent of the 70s or 80s when Korra dies at an old age
@@Ray_Aoi exactly on feats shes not. What kind of feat does she have that beats out for example seperating part of the continent and blowing it away from shore with air, creating an island? When other Avatars end up entering the Avatar state they are a natural disaster, Korra enters it for every fight and still loses all of them. That more so indicates her being the weakest known avatar than the other way around
@@DGSnowolf Eh, the avatar state doesn't really say much in that regard. I always assumed that was simply because she really isn't a very spiritual person at all. That said, I do also agree that Korra is not the most powerful Avatar we have seen so far. She's up there but not at the top.
@@Ray_Aoi Technically speaking, because the Avatar State is the culmination of all the power held by the previous Avatars Korra is the most powerful in terms of raw power, but only in that. Other Avatars who went on a proper spiritual journey, who understand bending better and who have far more experience would definitely be the greater avatars as an actual fighter.
One of the coolest bending variations aside from lava, metal, combustion etc. would be sandbending and we didn't get to see so much of it. Now knowing the next avatar is from a sandbending family tis gonna be great. Im excited
Ravva picking a Sandbender is pretty off of the elements of all nations is different but being born as a Sandbender is unusual and surprising I mean nobody would expected that an Avatar being born outside of the 4 elements would be different than the other Avatars being born as a Sandbender is rare and unique in some way .
Reminder that Legend of Gengi came out BEFORE the Kyoshi books did, and that the authors didn't just copy from official source regarding the misidentification of the Avatar. :)
When I was looking at things about Korra one thing I found is that she died really young. I was not very happy about it, but then I found out that Avatar Genji is a fan-based story. Avatar Studios said that this story was not real in the Avatar universe. Made me happy because I really want Korra and Asami to have a lobg halpy life together and have kids. I LOVE KORRASAMI!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Genji could most likely be related to Bolin since he could be his descendant and have firebending (from Mako), earth bending (Bolin), and airbending (Opal). Then Genji, having those elements can master water meanwhile fulfilling his mission, which I suggested in the first comment
Korra dying in an explosion is a great plot for the first season of the legend of Genji. Maybe it’s an Avatar assassins like the red lotus who wanted ti basically kill Korra, maybe they will try to fight Genji. Also really looking forward to see how will Genji do as an Avatar because now he has only Korra’s life experience. I really liked Korra’s character but her failures were too critical for the future of the Avatar cycle tho I think she was one of the most relevant Avatars
Wow..no kids for korra..seeing everyone else having kids and such..I think korra is the type who would want to have kids ( she showed no Lin signs of not wanting kids) feel bad for her folks for not going to be grandparents and then to die and no lineage to pass on or for the fans to see like all her friends. I know there are a lot of asamikorra fans but this is a sad ending bc korra had no siblings so it's the end of her family line..that's sad. I know this is topic that gay relationships run away from but still it's right there in our face.
@@jomz2058 You could kinda see that as throwing the korra/mako shippers a pretty huge bone if that were to happen but the shipping community can be brutal to each other and the Asami korra fans probably would hate it bc korra isn't having a child without a male involved period but if that male is a past lover, they would riot but to be honest both Asami and korra might be OK with it bc they were both on good terms with mako..heck Asami might want mako to be her baby biological father which has mako looking like a alpha knocking up both korra and asami..whoa this is going into some wild fanfic so I will stop here.
I agree, it is sad... Also to add, the only thing I don't like about this fan project, is that they killed Korra off so young, but anyway, tbh, Korra would be a great mother, just look at her relationship with the air bender kids, it's so wholesome, and like you said, her family is basically killed off... Tonraq and Sena not being grandparents, Korra not having any siblings and then for them to make the decision of not giving her a family, yeah they are killed off, and being a Korra fan... A REALLY BIG KORRA FAN LOL, I don't like that, I would love to see what Korra chose to leave behind for her loved ones... The good thing though, is that this isn't cannon, so we should feel better about that at least, only the creators know what they are going to decide for Korra's future, and fr fr... I see Asami and Korra wanting a family, Korra wanting kids most, while Asami being a little hesitant (not that she doesn't want them, because she does) but she just happens to look at why they might not be able to have them... She's looking at the fact of Korra being the Avatar and herself being a business woman, that they might not have the time to raise their family, but she comes to the conclusion and agrees with Korra on having children, I always imagined that they would either adopt, or go to Mako for help.
Toph Beifong II kind of does make sense because in prestigious lineages such as theirs you do see a lot of women who will be the second or the third. For example IRL we have Queen Elizabeth III. It’s just less common in the average family line to see womans’ names reused.
so korra died a younger avatar than kuruk she died at the age of 28? u know I was disappointed that they did sokka dirty but they did korra even more dirty by killing her off way to early after all she went through that's not fair
I think it is cool that Genji is going to be born in a sand bender family, because we dont really see a lot of sand benders in the two shows, so I think it would be interesting to see more of them
The video is interesting. I'm waiting for the series or comic or whatever. I liked most of the growth of the characters and I hope to see them, although personally I always imagined that Mako would have a white lotus or that in the future he would improve his firebending and become a master of the stature of Suko, azula or paku or asta uncle iroh although well I don't know if this future is possible mako if he improves his firebending skills over the years
I never watched the Legend of Genji I tried but they killed off Korra before she reached a good age to pass. I don't even think Korra and Asami's kids were born yet (yes they have kids now) they weren't even wearing their middle age outfits yet I just couldn't do it.
@@shootingreal5945 idk maybe insemination, there's a family photo that the creators made right after the show was over and the family photo has two kids in them one is a boy and the other one is a girl. Asami was holding a baby boy that looked like her slightly and Korra was lifting a girl that looks like her a little. In the photo they had different outfits too showing that years went by.
@@Jassiij27 That's pushing it as far as believable..that type of medical ability in this world and even then it's not Asami and korra children together..it's there eggs fertilized by another male..period, so the kids traits are korra and whoever this unknown male donor is...same with asami.
I wish The Legend of Genji could have continued passed the first episode. While we wait for Avatar Studios to start releasing stuff, this is headcanon for me. Anyone else?
Better yet, rather than having any factions involving the Fire Nation do something during Sozen’s comet; why not have someone from another nation do something to them during the Day of Black Sun? People can refuse to forgive and judge people based on what their ancestors did just as easily as people can repeat the same mistakes from their past. Frankly, if they had the Fire Nation do something shady again I’d argue for it being very lazy writing. Not because people can’t repeat mistakes , because they can. But because we’ve seen how trope-y stories get if it’s the same people all the tame doing stuff. Like, for example, the evil house of evil AKA Slytherin from Harry Potter. I swear, It’s borderline as if the Ministry of Magic should just send anybody whoever gets put in that house to Azkaban or at best just put them on a watchlist for the rest of their lives. Slytherin is so often to blame that when it does turn out someone else does something evil, it’s still such a rare occurrence that to flies well under the radar. Such as how Gildaroy Lockhart was Ravenclaw and Peter Petigrue was Gryphondoor. Sorry tired. Typos. Anyway. That gets lost because it’s almost always the one house. Which is why I’d rather it not be the Fire Nation. At least this time.
I think that Sozins comet would be an interesting thing to have as a catalyst for firebender persecution. Rumors spreading that the Fire Nation will become Imperialistic again, threats from firebending gangsters and crime mobs, people are scared. Firebenders are scary. Arrests start happening, fearmongering, certain states of the Earth Fed declare all firebenders to be temporarily restrained during the comet...
My gosh. I didnt know that asami and korra is the end game. Like my gosh i cant believe it. When the narrator said that i cant believe that i ended up searching it and i cant still believe. After so many years 😭
They likely will be in canon (though this video cover a fan project). That said, I don't agree they should be end game (but they will be because of optics): ruclips.net/video/hQsOdZdW_50/видео.html
We need two more stories for avatar universe! Genji, the earth bender born probably around the 1980s or 90s. And a fire bender born in a futuristic world! However the main issue will be what would each book be about!
@@nassernathan no it’s not canon but it’s the closest thing we have got and it doesn’t mess with any previous lore so some people like to see it as the continuation
Korra dying so young rubs me so wrong 😭 I feel like she never got her moment in the series like Aang where she was immortalized forever to everyone on earth I feel so bad for her
1:11 noooooo My second favourite character in the avatar universe, RIP zuko. Made the avatar world a better place. Ofc my first favourite character is iroh :)
If I were among the Genji crew I would have made Kai among the very first alongside Meelo and Ikki to have airbending tattoos after Jinora since Kai is so talented at airbending.
Honestly I really like the idea of Legend of Genji but it truly bothers me that Korra dies so young in this timeline. I mean, Kuruk already died so young as the previous water avatar, it's unfair Korra would too. Plus, we waited SO long for Korrasami to happen, and it was so uncertain for the longest time... they deserve a long life (maybe not peaceful but at least you know ALIVE).
I honestly think Korra passing away makes sense because Avatar Kuruk, also passed away at a young age, and I also think that Genji will live for a long time, like Kyoshi, to make up for Korra.
I just wanted add a note about what you said about childhood friendships not often turning into successful marriages. That's more development of modern times, whereas very much throughout history, childhood/teenage/young adult relationships often turned into marriage, and rarely ended divorce. This is.essentially a combination of: the fact that people didn't have a lot of options to meet people, divorce wasn't socially acceptable in most societies, people tended to treat marriage as survival transaction (arrange marriage has been part of that), the fact that women were often pressured into thinking that marriage and family was their job.
I could see in this more modern world a type of stigma about fire benders being bad and especially around Sozins comet I feel like fire nation families not the fire nation would get a lot of hate and treated poorly just because of the history of the nation so everyone would be on edge with them around the comet passing And I like the development that the sand benders are being relocated because of the “modern time” which speaks to how messy our world can be
I don't understand people who hate Korra. Why do you do that, I love Korra! Because she is strong and fearless, she is not afraid of difficulties and is always ready to fight, it is stupid to consider her not a full avatar because she couldn't save other avatars, on the contrary, she should be admired because she is already strong. Without enlisting the help of other avatars, she fought her way through the difficulties alone, without them! Needless to say, Aang is the best, it's not true, because in 66 (166) years he never managed to fulfil the role of Avatar, and that's why all these global problems fell on Korra, because his main exploits ended at the age of 12, the remaining years he was only doing for the city of Luspublica! Korra is weak because she has 10,000 years of experience! But even without that, she played her role as the Avatar 100% better than Aang and the other Avatars, even at the peak of her exploits from 16 to 21, in 6 years she did more for the world, it makes us realise that as a person she is strong!
What if Genji somehow become the villain in this time line ( the real dark avatar who mastered the dark avatar state ), what if he finds a way to revives vaatu and banished raava after she tried to abandoned him because he no longer cares about bringing balance to the world, but rather subjecting it to his control and rule due to events that changed his personality and made him evil, what if he become immortal like kyoshi did and after many years raava finally escaped to find the next avatar to put an end to the dark avatar and save the world from him.
Just to add onto a point: From this side of Avatar Universe lore, Mako isn’t the first person to get a divorce/not have a traditional for-life marriage. Toph supposedly married a man named Kanto and had Lin Beifong, and married another person (To be discovered) to have Suyin, who is the half sister of Lin.
I hope there will be an avatar story where the avatar was born in a corrupt family or group. Like what if there is a corrupt secret org in the fire nation who wants the glory of the old fire nation happen again, then the fire bender avatar was condition growing up to fulfill it. I see the sotry going, the avatar would have a realization to be good in some point of the story, or just go completely dark and make the avatar the antagonist the entire series.
3:22 I completely agree with childhood relationships ending up in marriage. It’s so unrealistic and really stops the character development imo. Like explore, you are definitely not going to be the same person in 10 to 50 years.
Maybe there is a pattern where water avatars die earlier on purpose because they usually deal with the spiritual balance after the air avatars focus on problems in the physical world. Korra had to deal with spirts and vaatu and Kuruk had to deal with negative spirts continuously.
honestly on the topic of avatars and siblings, i personally would like a story where the avatar is a twin. and both of them are actually the avatar but either the elements are split between them one having fire and air for example and the other having water and earth or they both have all elements but two of the elements are alot weaker then the other two, also if either of them goes into the avatar state, the other one also does
I had a prologue I came up with in the shower: A rich earth bender woman has a child a day after the death of Korra, her husband has an idea. The husband proclaims that his child is the Avatar, and hires dedicated and skilled “bodyguards” that go where ever the child goes. The purpose of the body guards is to “prove” the child is the avatar. Basically, if the child wants to light up a field, the fire bodyguard will use fire bending to make it seem like the child did it. etc with the other 2 elemental guards. The child is raised to believe he is the avatar, and the family becomes royalty, dominating the world under its iron fist. Then, the dirt flies up, and is pulled back. The camera looks up to see, a giant! It turns out to be a young farmer boy, tending to the land, roughly. His mother lectures the boy, then dirt-bends the land to fix it and shows him how to do it properly. At the same time, the boy’s father returns with goods from the market. The boy happily goes to see what his father bought. He sees something shiny and quickly grabs it. He looks at it, only seeing his reflection. This boy, is the avatar.
I think it's average age for people to die at 80s if they're from water tribe. Lifestyle, environment and etc. Katara lives long, and she'd went through hell and back when she was a kid. I take minus 10 years old because of what she'd been through in her youth (mercury poisoning, almost died many time), so prolly she died at 70s. Not that old but not THAT early either.
So following tradition, it’s likely that the hardest element for Genji to learn will be Fire.
Roku struggled with water
Aang struggled with earth
Korra struggled with air
So it makes sense as all the other elements especially earth focus on bending what’s around you while fire draws from ones inner energy.
well korra struggling with air was because it went so much against her personality and because of her lack of spirituality.
@@Storyman09 yeh the fights were better shot but not better coreographed, seems to be the general consensus
I think it would be more interesting if Genji struggles with regular earth bending, sense sand bending is basically like a mix of air and water.
@@Zinervawyrm uhm... no? What gave you that idea?
I love how a sand bender becomes an avatar. We need more sub-bending type avatars.
Genji will probably be very good at air bending because the use of sand bending is very similar.
Wouldn't surprise me if they figured out airbending first but neither them nor anyone else noticed because of how similar they can appear.
This is my theory.
For genji to master the elements, I think it would go as follows. This is our of order, I know, but Korra was like 4 and was able to bend 3 out of the 4 elements and I don't think it ever really showed the order of her mastering them.
Genji would probably learn like this
1. Sand/earthbending
2. Airbending
3. Waterbending + sub-bendings
4. Lavabending
5. Metalbending
6. Firebending
7. Maybe lightning bending
He would also, throughout all that, probably learn spirit projection, the avatar state, spiritbending, and other possible forms of bending I may have forgotten.
I can post an explanatory comment to explain why he would learn them in this order if you want.
@@justin_glen_with_1_n403 A bit of a hitch. They must learn the elements in the same cycle that started with the first avatar. Son an Earth Avatar will go:

The earth kingdom misidentifying the avatar could be an allusion to the Chinese government and the Dalai Lama… the 14th and current Dalai Lama has stated that the cycle of reincarnation of the Dalai Lama might end with him out of fear that the Chinese government will use it’s power of approving the reincarnation to appoint a figurehead to sway the religious people in favor of the Chinese government… so maybe misidentifying the avatar is a similar way in which the earth kingdom tries to overreach it’s authority…

I'm still confused at what's going on with nickelodeon? Why can't they come up with the next show for avatar after 10years? It has a large fanbase so money will come their way.
So Korra defeats so many strong and power people and somehow just dies in an explosion like what the heck
Considering Kurvira was all about "real Earth Kingdom" citizens, I like that idea of sand benders being seen as "lesser" during her reign.

I was first introduced to this character on a video about CBR it really got me interested.
Mako become police of chief is my fav bit 4:24
Hey is this fan made or canon
@@nassernathan no it’s not canon but it’s the closest thing we have got and it doesn’t mess with any previous lore so some people like to see it as the continuation
i can't wait for this to come out in seasons this is gonna be sooooooo exciting.
To be clear, this is a fan project.
Korra dying so young rubs me so wrong 😭 I feel like she never got her moment in the series like Aang where she was immortalized forever to everyone on earth I feel so bad for her
1:11 noooooo
My second favourite character in the avatar universe, RIP zuko. Made the avatar world a better place.
Ofc my first favourite character is iroh :)
If I were among the Genji crew I would have made Kai among the very first alongside Meelo and Ikki to have airbending tattoos after Jinora since Kai is so talented at airbending.
Damn good on Katara. Managed to out live two Avatars.
legend of gengji is an unofficial fan project, right? I have serious doubts at this level of detail! so official or not?
i watched avatar aang and avatar korra noe can wait for avatar gengi!!!
Ayo aged up mako be hitting different
I hope this is not the story that avatar studio go with.sorry if am discouraging
Fan-created project. As stated at the start and end of the video and in the description box.
I personally think we need an adult version of Aang series.
I could see in this more modern world a type of stigma about fire benders being bad and especially around Sozins comet I feel like fire nation families not the fire nation would get a lot of hate and treated poorly just because of the history of the nation so everyone would be on edge with them around the comet passing
And I like the development that the sand benders are being relocated because of the “modern time” which speaks to how messy our world can be
I don't understand people who hate Korra.
Can you do legend of abiyoye? I really love that idea for life after Korra.
That one is very very odd-canon. Genji at least has some but if continuity.
@@AntoineBandele hmmm can you try to explain that in a video sometime. I'll check it out. :)
I really wished that sosians commit came after genji not before because that be so cool to see him and the crew fight in the comics
this is a fan made story.... why aren't you putting that disclaimer
I have. Throughout the video (including first first five seconds) and first thing in description box.
Antoine: Lin retires and Mako becomes Police of Chief
Me: You mean Chief of Police right?
Antoine:...
Me: Right??
What if Genji somehow become the villain in this time line ( the real dark avatar who mastered the dark avatar state ), what if he finds a way to revives vaatu and banished raava after she tried to abandoned him because he no longer cares about bringing balance to the world, but rather subjecting it to his control and rule due to events that changed his personality and made him evil, what if he become immortal like kyoshi did and after many years raava finally escaped to find the next avatar to put an end to the dark avatar and save the world from him.
We really just can't have too many old avatars, now can we?
Just to add onto a point: From this side of Avatar Universe lore, Mako isn’t the first person to get a divorce/not have a traditional for-life marriage. Toph supposedly married a man named Kanto and had Lin Beifong, and married another person (To be discovered) to have Suyin, who is the half sister of Lin.
Imagine being a twin to the avatar knowing you easily could have been the avatar
RIP my boy Zuko, he will be missed.
I really really hope they cover Korra's death and all the issues with Sozen's comet etc... can't wait for this series.
It be an interesting plot where Toph pulls Immortality and awakens the secrets of Earthbending that nobody ever tried.
A good idea for a future show i think would be "The Last Avatar"
We basically got that in legend of Korra.
@@Rhekon So there will never be a next avatar after her?Was that stated?
@@newhybrid101 yes. Zaheer said 'though you will never be reborn" meaning that she will not be born again after he killed her
@@mark78129 He never killed her though. So there will be an Avatar after Korra.
@@maz2483 lol, that's the point of my comment
Where would I find the script or animation for the fan project?
3:22 I completely agree with childhood relationships ending up in marriage. It’s so unrealistic and really stops the character development imo. Like explore, you are definitely not going to be the same person in 10 to 50 years.
Maybe there is a pattern where water avatars die earlier on purpose because they usually deal with the spiritual balance after the air avatars focus on problems in the physical world. Korra had to deal with spirts and vaatu and Kuruk had to deal with negative spirts continuously.
Why did they make Korra gay? There were plenty of dudes she could had got with.
That’s not how being bisexual works.
ruclips.net/video/jeWA41eFm2M/видео.html
@@AntoineBandele gay is gay.
@@jetstreamsam8221 it was in the comic. Look for it on youtube.
honestly on the topic of avatars and siblings, i personally would like a story where the avatar is a twin. and both of them are actually the avatar but either the elements are split between them one having fire and air for example and the other having water and earth or they both have all elements but two of the elements are alot weaker then the other two, also if either of them goes into the avatar state, the other one also does
That would be awesome
I had a prologue I came up with in the shower:
A rich earth bender woman has a child a day after the death of Korra, her husband has an idea. This boy, is the avatar.
lmao
2:57 and 7:25 "Icky"
4:22 "Police of Chief"
🤣 My dude...
I kinda sad I really wanted the avatar after genji to meet the sozin comet it could have made an interesting story development like him being a rebel
I think it's really interesting that the Legend of Genji came up with the fake avatar thing before the Kyoshi novels came out
I think it's average age for people to die at 80s if they're from water tribe. Lifestyle, environment and etc. Katara lives long, and she'd went through hell and back when she was a kid.
I take minus 10 years old because of what she'd been through in her youth (mercury poisoning, almost died many time), so prolly she died at 70s. Not that old but not THAT early either.
