Nickelodeon’s Avatar the Last Airbender recently broke Netflix records, remaining in the Top 10 for the longest time! With various teasers, trailers and announcements round the corner for more potential series, we’re hoping that the return of characters like Zuko (Dante Basco), Aang (Zack Tyler Eisen), Azula (Grey DeLisle) and more will be as awesome as we hope for!
That being said, if there is a return to the Avatar world on the horizon that isn’t the Legend of Korra, it’s probably a good idea to brush up on our ATLA history!
Did you know Zuko and Aang had a death pact? A new war almost started within a year of the Hundred Year War? Sokka died with no children? Aang severed his ties with Avatar Roku? And Iroh transcend to the spirit world and made a tea shop there??
What happened to these characters? Did Cabbage man ever sell his cabbages? What did Team Avatar get up to between The Last Airbender and ATLOK? What hidden facts, theories, easter eggs did we miss in the Dark Horse comics?

You forgot to mention Toph's metal bending academy and the creation of the metal bending police
Saw a hater talking trash about that. Metal bending is for "an elite few" well yeah that's why she stated the school and the police force based around it lol.
@@digitalcamaro9708 She started it because she wanted to protect people but saw that that was a mistake and didn't stop crime from happening, that's why she abandoned it and went to live in a swamp. She didn't WANT it to be for an elite few but that's what ended up happening.
I'm pretty sure that's sort of explained with flashbacks and dialogue in the legend of Korra. So it wouldn't really fit in this video which talks about the "in between".

Tara Bleu he died in the episode where he sings “little soldier boy” when they have the “in honor of mako” bit. He was really sick and you can hear him crying forreal during that song. That was the last episode he did

Instead of starting a new Avatar series or remake, Netflix should just animate these stories to continue the story.
This world really does need new stories. Sadly, the creators aren't interested in making a new animated series. And the live action remake is something that no one asked for.
Facts there's so much info & story details enough to make an Avatar series. & it'll be cool because we'll see what happened between the last Air bender and Kora
The netflix live action remake has an incredible potentional. Darker version of the ATLA universe would be amazing. I just hope that they'll not just blatantly copy the original animated version. And I'm not even very concerned about the creators of The sow leaving. Just think about a Game of thrones style version of ATLA.
@@Gunman610 The ATLA world is undeniably beatiful but the og show could've been executed way better. Many of the characters in The show lack depth considerably. For example Fire lord Ozai, Aang, Azula.. And I'm well aware of that it's a show oriented towards children but still.

It's understandable that Roku would advise Aang to kill Zuko because Roku spared and saved Sozin's life multiple times and in the end Sozin betrayed him and started the 100 year war, and Roku doesn't want the same to happen to Aang.

Zayzay Not really cuz Zuko has a good side of Roku since Roku is his grand father and if you’ve really watched legend of Korro, Then you know how similarly Zuko inherits Ruko’s looks.
@@solitary6836 Yes Zuko obviously has a lot of good qualities and you can see that he's clearly made a peaceful fire nation in Korra, but in the comics he was still dealing with the pressure from his father and his sister was trying to turn him into his father as well.

The fact that Iroh finally got to be firelord even as just a filler for Zuko makes me so happy. Iroh deserved so much and although him not getting to rule was instrumental in his growth as a person, it's nice knowing he lived a long and happy life.
There’s like 2 to 3 good seasons they could’ve extended last air bender
They were gonna do 5-6 more seasons but it got canceled because the movie was taking too much time and resources.

No, they ended it at the absolute perfect moment. The whole series built up to that ending. Further seasons would have seemed hollow. Im sick of shows that don't know when to stop, Avatar was a great story, with a perfect ending. Just appreciate it

Its kinda sad that they never gave sokka a Woman in the end. He deserved it the Most after loosing Yue, Suki and even His Blade.
But wasn’t his relationship with suki Solidified before the final fight. They official and have a long distance relationship cuz of their political/future roles
I thoroughly believe that one of tophs daughters is sokkas. In LOK Tophs daughters say how they only knew the name of the oldest daughter’s father, but they were never told about the younger ones father. The younger daughters son (tophs grandson) looks a lot like adult Sokka. Also, the creators of TLA and LOK say that they leave tophs lovers to the imagination. I.E. they won’t say that sokka ISNT the father.
2 of Tophs grandsons look like Sokka at different ages as well as the fact that Su especially younger Su Look like Katara and wears water tribe wraps. I also am a firm believer that all the orginal team avatars kids tie to certain people or events , Lin being one of the many people under Jeong Jeong Kya bein Katara and Sokkas mom Tenzin being after Gyatso cause they where based around the same monk. I believe Su name wise was partially named after Suki Which is why they normally call her Su instead of her full name which ain’t that long.
But what happened between Sokka and Suki that they didn't end up together?

That's really not in line with Aang. He sealed Zukos' Dad's bending, why would he agree to kill Zuko if Zuko were to turn bad?
Actually he only agreed after Zuko pleaded a lot for it... And Katara gave him a nod to accept. But Aang didn't think that would happen. So he reluctantly accept just to reassure Zuko... Awful choice though, that's why Zuko then tells him that the promise is unfair and he is freed from it.
@Arigato Senpai it's because in the finale, he had no connection with the person he was doing it against. he didn't know ozai, so he had pretty much no feelings to control. but we know he can't control the avatar state when it has to do with someone he cares about. when he was fighting ozai, he entered the avatar state as a form of self defense, but when he confronted zuko, he was emotional because he knew what he had promised him.
Because Zuko still still has a army of firebenders that can start the hundred year war again and what made ozai so dangouse wasent because he was a bender it was cos he was firelord with a army
It's simple, the show was great and everything after including the comics and Kora are just fan fic cash grabs

I found it weird that Sokka n Suki never had even one child, especially since they were the first couple on the series. Yet Toph, who was the most withdrawn, recluse member of Team Avatar, had 2 wit 2 different men we never meet.
The avatar franchise needs to get like the MCU and launch an entire world with prequels, sequels etc. Animated of course. I would tune in. Bc I need more Avatar Aang iml, Korra just doesn’t do it for me 🤧
Agreed. Korra was a bland continuation. What bothered me most was:
1. The lack of classic ATLA humor.
2. The HUGE time jump and technology overload.
3. The fact that all the original GAANG members were either ancient or dead. I just wanted to cry.

4. The Voice Acting was rushed, and does not flow like a normal conversation.
5. Aang had to learn all 4 types of bending on his adventures, but Korra knew them from birth?

Towards the end of ATLA they set up some ground work between Toph and Sokka, so it's possible he's the father of one of the 2 daughters who's fathers were never named.
If he is, he’d be Suyin’s. Lin’s father is revealed to be Kanto in season 4 of LOK
Why do you write your scripts so that you keep repeating points? Why not write something that flows in chronological order. You keep going back and forth and repeating things you've already said. This video could've been like 5 minutes shorter at least.

lol they already did 1000 times. Besides kyoshi is earth and Ruko is fire. Aang is air and Korra is water. This isnt the order but they have completed it before like 1000 times.

They did Katara dirty honestly. She became Aangs prize for defeating Ozai and lost all of the things that made her so strong and unique in the comics.

Being such a fan of ATLA (having watched it as an adult), I really wanted to love TLOK but just couldn't get into it. There was just something about the original that was...missing from the sequel. Can't quite put my finger on it. Plus, I didn't really care for Korra. (Is it just me?)
The 1st season of LOK was alright
Yeah same. I like the worldly adventure stuff more and no industrial stuff. Something about them traveling and no capitalism feeling much more enjoyable lol
3rd season is my favorite, haven't finished the 4th yet
you want the truth, I think this show is better watching it as an adult as you can better appreciate the phenomenal character development (ESPECIALLY the character development), character depth, character arcs, character relationships, art direction, imagination, the flashy action, powerful music, amazing animation, threatening villain, and the surprisingly deep, quite mature themes (themes like war, genocide, imperialism, and dictatorship are rarely explored in youth).
I needed this because I finished the last airbender and was left with no answers
I always got goosebumps whenever I recalled the happy ending of that cabbage guy.
