Its kinda crazy to think that if Wan and Korra are 10,000 years apart, if you take the average lifespan of a person (80-100 years old) and in Kyoshi’s case, about 230 years old, there are probably only about 100-150ish Avatars total, even though the show makes it seem like thousands
@@Stupranos Kyoshi was the only Avatar who lived longer than usual for a human, due to the fact that she learned the technique of immortality from Loa Ge, a legendary assassin who lived for over 1000 years.
FYI, 10000 in East Asia generally means ‘infinite’ or ‘uncountable.’ For example, the term wansui (lit ‘ten thousand years’) was used to mean immortality, and the similar term was the cheer for Japanese Emperors. @@faizalardillah1440 Exactly. The restoration of airbenders seem to be almost impossible to us, but somehow there's still a way to do it. Of course it'll only happen if the creators wanted to lol. And to be noted, not just the exact previous avatar, the current avatar is possible to fix old mistakes from a much older avatars. Aang fix Yangchen's mistake about that General Iron spirit, and Korra fix Wan's mistake for separating the two worlds. And Korra fix Aang's mistake about Yakone too. I know Aang stopped Yakone, but he should've killed him instead of just took his bending away. Yakone was not just a powerful bender, but he's an exceptional influencer. Losing the connection with the past avatars relates to the real world. We have lost thousands of years of history, majority of it unknown and lost a lot of knowledge which is now hidden.
The franchise just needs to further continue Korra's journey as the world advances with technology. I just fear the Avatar will ultimately become extinct in about a few more cycles after Korra. Machines will be able to produce what the elements could, and produce unique techniques that humans would only dream of. The power to be a bender will be available to anyone whether they were born a bender or non-bender. And multiple humans will be able to hold the power of all the elements at once, something that was only accustomed to one being per era. The mastery in storytelling in this franchise is top-tier and will eventually lead to the introduction and lives of the previous Avatars we have yet to learn about.
My theory is that the avatar cycle beginning with Wan in fire and then being succeeded by Air would have probably been the best version of the first and second avatars. Air Nomads are so spiritual they were probably able to deduce there was something spiritual going on with their newly discovered master of four elements and would have encouraged and facilitated a space where the second reincarnation could learn as much as possible about the cycle to provide wisdom to the first earth water and earth avatars.
I don't think Korra's connection to passed avatars is gone, they just don't want to talk to her at the time cause of the poison in her body. Once that was gone, and she was able to talk to the light spirit, the connection was there again, and at the same time, her past lives knew that she had to figure this out on her own without help from them, but she needed help from her friends the most. Any thoughts?
Kyoshi was probably the most ruthless avatar ever imagine if she had switched places with Aang the fire nation would’ve never expanded as much as they did

The sound edit for this video is amazing. Congrats for the team behind the youtube channel for improving even more the quality of the content!
I watched ATLA and LOK for more than 10 times, and now it is my duty to pass the fire of wonderfulness about this series to my siblings and youngsters. I'm so joyful when they really enjoy watching it.😭❤️✨
14:55 Correction: Korra wasn't chi blocked, Amon used bloodbending to take her bending away.
Edit: well actually, Revin Hatol (A person in the replies) Corrected me with something that makes lots of sense. So did the rest of the replies section! He made a valid point where they are both sub forms of energy bending. nexusshark also made a similar point. Thanks yall!
It was both actually. Amon uses bloodbending to chi-block his victims.

46 cycles of 184 Avatars, with the earthbender Avatar after Korra, those 10,000 years would have come to an end but they would pave the way for another 10,000 years worth of new Avatar cycles. Our children and our children's children would love to see how this universe keeps growing.

I'd like to know more about Avatar Wan and Kyoshi
There’s a whole comic series about Kyoshi.
Your in luck! There's a whole book series about Kyoshi and another in the works for the previous air bending avatar before aang 😊
There's like at least two whole episodes I believe on Wan and his life in Legend of Korra. Definitely one of my favorite episodes out of the entire series as it gives an origin story to the whole lore.
There's gonna be a movie about her! It's one of the newly announced "Avatar Studios" projects.
there are two books about her life if h want to read them

I feel bad for korra tho because she genuinely needed help and I feel like people are too hard on her because in the scene where she lost the past avatars raava couldn't get up and korra tried but she was suffering the same injuries as raava. So if yall wanna be mad at korra you gotta be mad at raava even tho I think neither of them are to be blamed, korra was still healing and people expected her to be able to fight one of the strongest spirits.

Best RUclips channel for a show
Nah it fits for me
As we learnt from the rise of Kyoshi, yangchen was horrible to the spirits and Kuruk was only trying to right her wrongs
And her two successors had to suffer just because of what she did
I mean she had a reason to be horrible to them
Awesome that this comes out the day the dawn of yangchen does!
I really hope the connection to past avatars will be restored. It would be awful if 10,000 years worth of avatars and history was lost.

All the Avatars are awesome and they accomplished many great things, but Aang is one of a kind 🥰

Try downloading avatar the last airbender: the legend of aang
This is bringing me back all the memories, and learning all about the other avatars was amazing!
This story is just so fascinating!
Avatar Kyoshi lived to 230! and I thought Bumi was old.
The Legend of Korra Will Be Forever Too
correction at 3:55 in the story of Avatar Avani, if there are 2 stories about Avatar Salai:
1. Avatar Salai lived during the 2nd King of the Earth Kingdom.
2. There was a star that was named the star Salai Yang Agung and then changed its name to Bintang SARET by the prince of the Isoro tribe, because Avatar SARET was the last Avatar of the Isoro tribe.
When you look at that list, the most common element in the Avatar cycle is fire. Ironic since it was the antagonist of the original series.
Oh, goodness. Those are the facts of life.
Kuruk, Kyoshi, Roku and Korra all having relationship within fire nation. Korra favorite element is fire.
It did start with fire bending - Wan was considered a fire bender.
I love how you said "Yangchen chose peaceful fighting" while literally being the one to invent air suffocation.
4:39
That earthbender Avatar on Szeto's right, it could be Avatar Salai.
Losing the connection with the past avatars relates to the real world. We have lost thousands of years of history, majority of it unknown and lost a lot of knowledge which is now hidden.
Aang never gets older in my memories.
You guys are awesome, thank you for making this show ✨
They should do a avatar chronicles type series that shows the stories of each avatar.
I hate how Korra gets unnecessary hate from the community just because she has the opposite attitude of Aang
Oh, my goodness.
its because she’s a girl
I think that maybe using the Time Tree Korra can have vision of her past lives. It's less but it is something
The story of the first avatar is absolutely amazing, I love this franchise
Best thing they can do with the new avatar is for him to find a way of being attached to the old avatars again.
And avatar salai's bending is very powerfull and uncontrolled sometimes
kinda sad you didnt mention korra's greatest villain, her mind, in korra alone, i'd love to see a video on her recovering
Nickelodeon: Let's make this show about elements for kids!
Community: Adults studying the deep down lore of Avatar.
After reading the book, I seriously want a Kyoshi series.

It's so cool learning about this world's history!
But how will Korra’s successor learned of history now she cuts her connection to the past Avatars?
@@a.jthomas6132 Word of mouth, I guess. Tho I honestly hope to see the comics or a sequel revive Korra's connection, to be honest.
@@lancekeith7900 a word of mouth won’t be enough
@@a.jthomas6132 Hmm, but Korra's narration may be. Still, I want Korra's connection restored, so I'm with you.
Kyoshi was probably the most ruthless avatar ever imagine if she had switched places with Aang the fire nation would’ve never expanded as much as they did
I can't tell you how many times I've been moved to literal tears while watching this video.😢 Thanks for making it so beautifully, and could you please share the background music or it's source? It's so lovely and cool!😍
Are we just gonna forget the fact that Korra got Ravva destroyed, got her bending taken away, got poisoned almost ending the avatar cycle, and almost losing a fight against a normal metal bender
“Got ravva destroyed” unalaq and vaatu did that, “got her bending taken away” Amon did that, “got poisoned almost ending the avatar cycle” a terrorist organization did that, “almost losing a fight against a normal metal bender” fought a powerful metal bender while poisoned, depressed and suffering from ptsd, it’s so strange to me how some of you blame korra for her suffering because you don’t like her, she has her indiscretions but the hate is so weirdly forced.
Technically all the previous avatar's aren't completely gone. The next avatar could just ask Korra what she knows about them since they won't have the connection
I WANT MORE SERIES OF THIS AFTER THE LEGEND OF KORRA😭
They’re planning on it. There’s already a korra move announced that might bridge the gap between LOK and a new avatar show
@@lifeline.6144 no, it's not bridging the new avatar it's just showing more on the life of korra and her adventures and how things went. Bryke clearly said they won't be making new avatars but telling stories on past avatars
The way I want kyoshi to have her own series soooooooo bad!
is it true that there will be a live action for avatar the last airbender?
And also, the channel said Ozai was Sozan successor which was kinda wrong. Sozan had a son which was Azulon and Azulon was Ozai’s dad. So Ozai was Azulon’s successor
