Damn, that is one hell of an attack. You really have to take your time with that one, nice job picking them off and making them go through the choke point. The settlement reminds me of how I start all of my settlements in normal survival play. It gives me a place to take care of things and some place to sleep. Nicely done my friend.
Thanks! And yeah, the combat dynamic is a lot different now. Took some getting used to, for sure, but it's gotten a bit easier now that it makes more sense.
Not sure if you have now but I can't recommend the mod enough. It's not perfect but a lot of what is featured in the mod should have been in the base game.
I had an Rust Devils attack at Tenpines recently....this lot AND the bunch of Robots in their backs XD Holy shit....that was a Battle! And too, because of 2 (!!!!) Settlers... This is something i don't like about the Mod. That makes it a bit ridiculous for me. Wouldbe cool, if there would be round about number of enemies per Settler or something like that. But well, it's a great Mod, so i won't complain. XD And awwww i like your Bluff very much! The Style is (again) so SarDeliac awesome and i am almost a bit jealous, how "simple" you can build, and how awesome immersive it looks. Hmpf... I wanna see more of that and your Gameplay
Yeah, I don't let the Rust Devils out if I can help it; I don't get anywhere within a half mile of Ada so it doesn't trigger the "talk to the robot" stage of that quest. (I routinely put a map marker on her location so I don't accidentally fly over it in a vertibird, either.) Gets dicey when you have to get the RR dead drop at Watts, because that's _almost_ too close to her, as is the "clear the church to move H2-22" mission. And thanks! :)
Oh no, i really like the big Raids, it is just unlikely, that that much Raiders etc. would attack 2 People in 1 little shack, you know^^ But the big raids are fun!! But thanks, i will look into that Mod (=
@SarDeliac, I have resumed Survival Mode and have built my main base at Sanctuary at the Bridge like you suggested in your series. I like the idea of just doing a minimalist settlement at Tenpines though. First off you have just the husband and wife there originally and you only need four beds/ sleeping bags/ mattresses to accommodate them and two other settlers. Making it a tiny fortified farm seems the best way to go. That way everything is compact and close together so there is no extra movement. Keeping the produce farm inside the wall is a very good idea. Having 4 turrets will give the Settlement a Defense Score of 20. At the moment my current Sanctuary Settlement is up to 25 as it have five turrets all aimed at the bridge as that is a spawn point. Along with the turrets I have two guard posts, but no Security Settlers to man them yet. The only Settler at Sanctuary so far is a nice African American woman who immediately took up caring for the crops I already have planted. Those were from acquired from scavenging and harvesting Blake Abernathy's Melons and buying a few from Carla. In the current run I am too low level to rescue Preston and the survivors of Quincy, but I can explore and scanvenge different places close to Sanctuary. I might even head over to Tenpines and make like a good neighbor with those two and find out if they need help. I might see if I can get a few Tatos from them too. I am electing to stay unaffiliated for now and just build my settlement. I scavenge Red Rocket's mouse cave entrance constantly as well as the two houses on the north edge of Concord. I may add the Speak Easy as on my last pass through Concord it sounded like Preston eliminated those outside in the main north - south street. I may even check the ruins of the pharmacy again. Too bad that wall safe is an Expert Safe. I had to scavenge the trailer north of Abernathy's to finally find Antibiotics because Sanctuary didn't have any nor did the two houses or the Pharmacy in Concord. Fighting an infection is exhausting. I had to keep my character well fed, well rested and fully hydrated to ward off death until I could get antibiotics. Ugh!!! In Survival Mode food and water are the main things I scavenge for on the road. In Sanctuary I have the micro farm and three wells. I think for the sake of keeping Sanctuary supplied I am going to develop relationships with Tenpines and the Abernathy Farm and help them to develop into fortified farmsteads/ manors. I am in game trying to implement what Bear Independent on his preparedness channel calls, "Militant Farmers." I think the Tenpines Couple and the Abernathys would be a good start on that. The same goes for the Finch Farm and the County Crossing Farm and any other small settlement I may wind up helping. It looks like I might wind up replacing the Minutemen without actually replacing them if I hold off rescuing Preston and company for a few levels. The Museum of Freedom is a bugger to do in Survival Mode if you are lower than double digits in level. (Had to use the British slang as I think the world for a female dog would have been censored by Yankee Tango.) Nora Addams already has Army Fatigues, a Grey Knit Cap (only hat found so far,) and leather armor except for the right arm. She's only armed with a glow sighted, powerful receivered, long barreled 10mm Pistol which she did take down a Radstag Doe at range with on the way to see Carla for the first time. Having 27 points of damage with each shot sure comes in handy.
Yay im happy now! My Sanctuary was attacked by 6-8 deathclaws. And not regular deathclaws, Alphas, glowing and such was crazy!! And yeah even your simple builds are great.
The two overhaul mods I love the most; 1st Junkmaster 2nd Immersive Gameplay I switch between them often depending on what game experience I want using JM for a more lore friendly walkthrough and IG for a more immersive experience.
Hmm. Depends on what you want to do. It's really hard to not recommend Hangman's because of its location and how easy it is (relatively speaking) to unlock, even early on. Failing that, Oberland's a decent choice if you wanna stay on the west side since it's pretty easy to unlock, it's reasonably close to DC, and there aren't many random spawns around it to give you trouble. If you like the east, Taffington is super easy to unlock as long as you have a good sniper rifle, and there are tons of things to do around there. Once you start exploring downtown and doing RR missions, County Crossing is ideal.
They would, but traps only have one use and then they need to be repaired. Kind of resource-intensive. I'd much rather arm and armor settlers since they don't die, and in this mod you can upgrade miniguns to use .50 ammo--they do 618 damage which is terrifying haha ;)
I like these tiny builds even more then your mega builds :) So you are not using power armor? Very brave. I know Erez is partial to power armor and his mod is basicly made to justify it :p
If you like these, there'll be definitely be more microbuild tours to come, especially his outposts. ;) And nope, no PA. I mean, I grab the suits when I can and stick 'em in my settlements, but I much prefer a stealthier approach and it's kind of hard to be unnoticeable when you're clanking around in a couple hundred pounds of metal haha
By the way : while i was testing for him i noticed the two shot effect on balistic weapons not working. But it does work laser weapons. Don't know if he ever fixed it. Instigating does work so go grab old faithfull
I've got VATS Enhanced on the .50 BMG sniper rifle, Two Shot on Righteous Authority, and I'm using Wastelander's Friend to make short work of ghouls at the moment. (Have a mod that lets me remove legendary effects and attach 'em where I want 'em.) Forgot about Old Faithful; will have to grab it next time I'm in DC.
No settlers were harmed in the making of this video. ;) The guard and farmer are still there, and all the other settlers are provisioners. Those 30 were all attackers. (Turns out at higher levels it throws even more at you; had 45 of 'em at Abernathy last night haha)
It changes just about everything to make it more "realistic"; everyone's health is really low, enemies don't scale as you level, guns are super powerful, a bunch of settlement mechanics have changed, stealth doesn't work as well as it used to, the perk tree's been rearranged and modified, and you start at level 10 with a ton of SPECIAL points and a bunker full of gear. It plays kind of the same mechanically, but tactically and strategically it's a world of difference, and there's so much to it I still haven't figured out huge parts of it at level 35. Gotta warn ya, though, until you "shift gears" into this type of gameplay it can be really brutal. ;)
When i was on my ps4 I would play it with weather redux, the night vision pack, mortal settlers, ambient sound and reverb, simple camping, timescale 20 to 6 , wasteland addict the shc and low tech patch. Stealth was very important and effective once I made it my mission to acquire all of the covert ops magazines and deacons perk. Now Im on pc and added a few other mods to the list and made it even more real, brutal and scary. Couldn't play the game without this mod
Don't die? :P Avoid taking on more than two people at a time. Don't use stimpaks until you're far away from enemies. Remember you can make shipments of things at chem and cooking stations. Grow the ingredients that make radstag vegetable soup to cure illnesses.
SarDeliac cheers I've tried it out I quite like it just trying to make so turrets at the moment. But I have wait a lvl so can get science and make the targeting cards
Weapon vendors always have plenty of cards in stock if you're in a hurry, both individually and as shipments. Clean the yao guai and radstag out of Rocky Narrows Park on the way down to DC--converting the meat to shipments (so it doesn't weigh anything) and selling it to Arturo'll pay for a lot of cards.
Although pc has all the goodies when it comes to mods, consoles players are used to the rustic look and how we place anywhere. Those of you trying to get it on PS4 I’d wait until Sony stops being buttholes about including every mod that Xbox gets.
They seem to come more frequently than usual, but I don't know if that's due to the mod or if it's because my settlements have pretty low defense scores overall (since turrets are _very_ resource intensive to make). On average I've been getting one every few hours.

Never stop making video’s good sir! Your’s are always quality.
Thank you! Glad you're still enjoyin 'em. :)
I could never play this mod, but it's fun to watch! Keep at it...
Will do. Gonna do an S&S installment next, but after that it might be time to tour an outpost microbuild. ;)
Not sure if you have now but I can't recommend the mod enough. It's not perfect but a lot of what is featured in the mod should have been in the base game.

Oh ok, smart! XDD But i like the Quest with the Mechanist, so well, i have to live with it lol
I think there's a medium raid patch if you don't like the big raids.
Oh no, i really like the big Raids, it is just unlikely, that that much Raiders etc. would attack 2 People in 1 little shack, you know^^ But the big raids are fun!! But thanks, i will look into that Mod (=
Infinity667 i'm on Ps4 so sometimes the big raids cause lag. But it's managable if i turn down weather redux

"Bring out yer dead." 😂😂
I love the combination of the shack bridge and walls.
Thanks! :)
Yay im happy now! My Sanctuary was attacked by 6-8 deathclaws. And not regular deathclaws, Alphas, glowing and such was crazy!! And yeah even your simple builds are great.
Thanks. :) The settlement attacks are definitely kicked up a notch, for sure. Fun now that I'm used to it.
Defending against Gunners is a nightmare haha
One time I got attacked by 6 guys in full raider power armor. Not fun.
The two overhaul mods I love the most;
1st Junkmaster
2nd Immersive Gameplay
I switch between them often depending on what game experience I want using JM for a more lore friendly walkthrough and IG for a more immersive experience.
Hmm... is Junkmaster on XB1? Might go have a look at it. :)
Would you recommend the base in starlight as a good settlement to start at? I’m tired of Sanctuary and red rocket.

Dang there was alot of them that attacked you. Would traps like the spring board help take care of them ?
They would, but traps only have one use and then they need to be repaired. Kind of resource-intensive. I'd much rather arm and armor settlers since they don't die, and in this mod you can upgrade miniguns to use .50 ammo--they do 618 damage which is terrifying haha ;)
Going to give the immersive gameplay mod a go
Excellent. ;)
You should! It's a really good Mod, that can give you a very new experience with the Game. (=
It’s amazing. I run it with scrap that settlement so I don’t have a bush peeking through my floors and simple green so it has an overgrown feel to it.
I like these tiny builds even more then your mega builds :)
So you are not using power armor? Very brave. I know Erez is partial to power armor and his mod is basicly made to justify it :p

And this is on survival?
By the way : while i was testing for him i noticed the two shot effect on balistic weapons not working. But it does work laser weapons.
Don't know if he ever fixed it.
Instigating does work so go grab old faithfull
Yes, it is. I don't know how to play non-survival modes any more haha :P
So did your 4 settlers die? Were they included in the 30 count?
No settlers were harmed in the making of this video. ;) The guard and farmer are still there, and all the other settlers are provisioners. Those 30 were all attackers. (Turns out at higher levels it throws even more at you; had 45 of 'em at Abernathy last night haha)
SarDeliac wow
What does the mod do?
It changes just about everything to make it more "realistic"; everyone's health is really low, enemies don't scale as you level, guns are super powerful, a bunch of settlement mechanics have changed, stealth doesn't work as well as it used to, the perk tree's been rearranged and modified, and you start at level 10 with a ton of SPECIAL points and a bunker full of gear.

It makes everything cause a small anxiety attack but is really rewarding. I like playing it with a mod that makes night time a lot darker.
When i was on my ps4 I would play it with weather redux, the night vision pack, mortal settlers, ambient sound and reverb, simple camping, timescale 20 to 6 , wasteland addict the shc and low tech patch. Wow!
What difficulty do you play on?
Survival, always. :)
SarDeliac any tips
Don't die? :P Avoid taking on more than two people at a time. Don't use stimpaks until you're far away from enemies. Remember you can make shipments of things at chem and cooking stations. Grow the ingredients that make radstag vegetable soup to cure illnesses.

Clean the yao guai and radstag out of Rocky Narrows Park on the way down to DC--converting the meat to shipments (so it doesn't weigh anything) and selling it to Arturo'll pay for a lot of cards.
I prefer a simple and typical settlement
😎
:D
Do you play on PC?
Nope, I'm a console peasant. ;) XB1 here.
SarDeliac Oh lol. Nothing wrong with consoles. We all have our own personal preferences
No worries, I ain't trippin. I do have it installed on my laptop, but only so I can poke around in the CK.
SarDeliac same, xb1 is awesome.
I do want to get a ps4 one day as well though.
Although pc has all the goodies when it comes to mods, consoles players are used to the rustic look and how we place anywhere. Those of you trying to get it on PS4 I’d wait until Sony stops being buttholes about including every mod that Xbox gets.
U cheeky Sar u post this video den reply me on the Abernethy farm video that I'm funny I say it . Ps I mean the settlement attack😂😂😂😂😂
:D
SarDeliac Sar forgot to ask how often do attack come knocking in real time 1 hrs of game play or more ??
They seem to come more frequently than usual, but I don't know if that's due to the mod or if it's because my settlements have pretty low defense scores overall (since turrets are _very_ resource intensive to make). On average I've been getting one every few hours.
