  • One week later, do I still enjoy using the Apple Vision Pro? Can this actually replace my workstations and will I even consider keeping this thing? Price aside we are in an era of some pretty awesome tech. In todays video I go over my real world usage and feedback.

    Great insight from actual user case scenarios, thanks mate. This should be able to support more virtual displays.. I mean, the meta quest 3 does through a third party app like Virtual Desktop, which in theory should have less "power" than the meta quest 3 isnt? Cheers.

      Thanks and agreed, it should definitely be able to support more displays. I'm sure it's an intentional limitation to offer it later. Kinda how Apple does things.

    You mentioned having a 25 light seal. What did you swap it to and did it affect the seal or amount of light that entered the headset? Does a new seal mean it’s wider/narrow on the face or does it mean your eyes are further/closer to the lenses?

    • @CoderMan
      @CoderMan  3 месяца назад +1

      All great question! Let me tackle each.
      The 25W light seal I ordered it with was swapped to a 21W+. What this means is the lenses are closer to your face, the Field of view is larger. The + is for the larger face pad, because with the Zeiss lenses the device wouldn't let me use it, was too close to my eyes. Using the 21W with the thicker face pad lets me use the product with lenses, and honestly is the perfect set up.
      I notice no more light leak than any other combination (tried a few in store). Really the only place I see any is around the nose area.
      I will mention one thing I see is a little reflection but I need to confirm if this is different lighting in my office.
      I would recommend anyone get fitted in store and don't be afraid to try different combinations.
      Hope this helps!

    Zero delay 12ms, just limited vertical fov

    • @CoderMan
      @CoderMan  3 месяца назад

      What's interesting is 12MS is perceivable, albeit barely. However enough that our brains can get confused, that with a limited FOV is why Apple doesn't want you just walking around and doing stuff, especially dangerous tasks.

    Instead of multiple monitors, it would be better if windows could be placed individually instead of just streaming the desktop.

    You say “I could” but would you actually WANT to?

    • @CoderMan
      @CoderMan  3 месяца назад

      That's a great question honestly. I think for video editing yes, but programming no. At least not until more tools exist.
