So does the Helper work for the Welder as in the company your doing the work for pay the Welder and Welder pays the Helper or what? Also along the same line does the Welder have to have a Helper and if he doesn't, does the Welder make more since there isn't a Helper?
Cary Stone some companies don't provide helpers. Or let them on the job. My thoughts on that is if the welders not making sparks he's not making the company money. But on the job we have there is two options for the helper welder. The company pays them. Which is usually less because they will usually provide FR clothing insurance and take care of the taxes. If the welders pay them we usually bill it as a 1099 so basically they are there own company and when we fill our tickets the company pays us an extra 20.00 for the helper. So instead of 70.00 he for the welder it would be 90.00hr and the welder will pay the helper out of that. Hope that helps
Retired Boilermaker was at a nuke plant for steam generator change out and took some drain lines out of the storage container and set one end on the gravel ground and leaned the other end against the container and some blow job inspector chewed me out for putting one end in the gravel screw him I'm going to prep the end before I weld it.ass holes just like to run their mouths
I'm sure your cap would look much better it you used two hands and just had your helper roll the pipe for you. guessing your using 5/32 for the cap? cool vid
Not trying to hate on pipeliner. But I weld here in ca were you gotta fit pipe for a living and run that LH. Sometimes we get these pipeliners that show up in these fancy trucks and they can't fit or even two hole shit they last about a week before being ran off. I just don't understand how they survive as a welder.
He did a video on it recently. He chucks it in the roll out wheel, checks for level, then comes to the end with the flange. He places a jackstand under the flange, checks the two hole for level and then splits the high/low based on the inside of the pipe. Uses a sawzall blade to gap it

Do you have to 2 hole the alignment to the flange on other end of the pipe? Or is it a flange and plain end?
I'm guessing you can tell how low or,high you need by the keyhole ?
Certainly a continuation of the great vids... The effort is appreciated... Those flange faces face down in the dirt though :(
hahahah we will work on that

it welds good i like the 7010 pipeliner better but its what the job requires so i just do it lol
I'm sure your cap would look much better it you used two hands and just had your helper roll the pipe for you. guessing your using 5/32 for the cap? cool vid
You get used to it after awhile and can really slick one on. thanks for watching

James Valentine for sure man! Jake's a real stand up guy. I've learned quite a few things from him, not even just about welding either.
Jacques Chevrier 👌👌👌be safe brotha
Why don't you guys cap with 7018 down there? Everything's hippy it seems like
Michael Pederson because pipeliners cant weld up hill to save their fucking life.
Calvin Bostick lmao
