    Hi Johnny, I know the recommended fall for porcelain is 1:60, but this seems a lot. I'm laying to 1:80 still, just wondered what fall you are working to?

      It is a lot Joe but its the BS, just dont let it hang the thing is there is a lot of water tension in Porcelain

    Why did you use a dry mix bed here rather than a 40mm 5-1 mix? Is there a better time to use this?

      It was 5.1 Martin mate, we change our methods sometimes as in this case it has more compressive strength than a wet mix

      @@GreentopLandscapes Is it still OK to use a wet mix though as the traffic on my patio will only be footfall?

    Hi John, taken delivery of 40 sq/m of porcelain tiles 900x600 but they are warped. Is this common with this size tile? Cheers

      That’s just crowning Dan mate just call me I can explain

    • @joefowler9600

      @@GreentopLandscapes I've also found this with 900 x 600 porcelain.
      Do you get the crowning with the more expensive porcelain? The stuff I was laying was only £36 m2, and I just assumed you get what you pay for.
      Thanks 👍

    Would a standard set tile adhesive mixed with SBR not do the same job as a very expensive priming slurry?

    • @GreentopLandscapes

      May do Stee mate, but I am not sure the manufactures would recommend that,

    • @BALtiling
      @BALtiling 2 года назад +2

      Hi Stee, we would not recommend this, as the standard set tile adhesive wouldn't bond with the subbase properly. Tile adhesives are designed for fixing to dry firm subbases like concrete, not wet or semi-dry mortar beds
