From the main menu select "Multiplayer" then "Custom Games". Now select "Halo CE", and then select any map. While on the Game type tab, click in the right stick, select "Save As", and name the file ".fortune" and enter. When you do this, you will get an error message within Halo MCC, and the achievement will unlock.

My fortune was, “You cannot fall off the floor.”
mine was “Your luck is about to change.”
Saving any custom game type as “.fortune” will trigger a special message, differing based on the game and possibly on the gametype (haven’t bothered to research). Thanks for the guide!

its technically an old Easter egg, a reference.. some achievements on halo are like that. I agree that it isnt one that you could accidentally come across, but there is meaning behind it, similar to the Meg or Hi Ben etc.

I play pc and I've tried both ce and reach, niether work for me. edit: lol nevermind it just took a while to trigger.

How are you able to get this when CE isnt out on MCC yet? (PC user here) -edit- I tried doing it on just reach the only one unlocked right now and did the same steps it gave me different fortune dialogue haha but didnt unlock the achievement so I am guessing this is only for ce only damn
Same here I’m so confused on how other people have all the other halos
@@sathisocus9608 The other Halo games are on Xbox One and achievments are cross platform- even with steam
It doesn't work anymore. So this acievement is impossible to get.
I just got it on the PC version 10 mins ago.

It doesn't work cause I just did it and no achievement. However, I did get the different messages when doing it multiple times.
It's the last achievement I need and I play pc... hmm
