@@moviemaker2011z I'm glad you like their games but there are lots of things that they did that intentionally strays from the bungie games and lore. A big example is in bungies lore the forerunners were just past humans, you can see this hinted in dialogue through the halo games and it was intended to be confirmed at the end of halo 2 before content got cut to release the game on time. To me 343s lore strays from the feel of the universe bungie was designing and has resulted in what feels like a confused story with plot holes. I won't disagree that the community is split on a lot of things, we definitely aren't unanimously sure about what we want - you liking 343 games is a great example of that and is most certainly not wrong in any way. We all have our preference and nobody's preference can be more correct than another's. But more than the community it seems to me like 343 is confused about what they want. I'm sure you've heard about all the ex-bungie developers that weren't allowed to join 343 and how Joseph Staten got kicked off the team right before they started remaking the halo games he wrote. 343 wants to make their own story unshackled by bungies previous vision, which is what rubs the community so wrongly. I personally don't want them to change halo, they can make their own IP in space without piggybacking off of the brand name of halo if they're so confident in their vision. With regards to the Pelican, Bungie let us fly it and the phantom in halo reach as an Easter egg. But this really isn't a hard thing to do in terms of making it. Bungie didn't ignore people but made the active decision to not create it as a flyable vehicle to match their vision. I won't claim to be an expert on the topic of what makes things special but if you ask me the Pelican being an unpilotable vehicle is what made it feels so special to me. I think a big part of what makes a game special isn't just what you give the players, but also what you choose not to give. In the same way lots of people that win a lot of money suddenly don't value a lot of things anymore. Though I think you should look into this yourself, there's probably lots of videos that explain stuff better than I could. Like how 343 didn't hire lots of bungie Devs, or how they tried hiring people who didn't like halo, or how things got retconned, or how the games were unplayable messes, how 343 themselves couldn't do things because of decisions made by and forced on them by higher-ups. You're free to like 343 and their games, but it's honestly a sh!tshow and a disgrace to a wonderful and loved franchise. It seems like they wanted to make their own game, not halo.
@@moviemaker2011z I just want to ask, there's no way you actually believe 4, 5 and infinite are "perfectly fine" right? 4 was the only one that shipped complete. 5 had great mp gameplay imo (not without fault though) though the campaign was so bad that even 343i tried to sweep it under the rug.
@felt7731 as the halo games stand right now as they are. They to me are perfectly fine. I enjoy them, I see them as just as valid as halo 1, 2, or 3 even. And while yes I do agree that they have flaws I do believe that they are still fun, provide a great source of entertainment, and storywise I very much enjoyed them. When halo 5 and infinite came out yes they were bad, it was abhorrent behavior on their part to release unfinished games. But that's not entirely their fault. Microsoft was noted to be heavily involved and made alot of changes to both the story, and to the design of the game which accounts for why it feels so different in some regard.

Man, where were you during the peak of H2 super jumping!? I loved sitting around doing LAN, drinking beer, and hitting super jumps. Yes I know I'm super old >.< This is about as close to those days as I can get anymore. Love the determination!
Yeah super jumping and barrier breaking, sword canceling, rocket canceling, butterfly jumping. H2 had amazing glitches to explore. Love getting out of Burial Mounds and it had that weird spot where the lighting was dynamic rather than static for no reason. So many odd things outside the maps.
"Wiping any reference to anything that happened after Halo Reach" If you were making this wish to a genie, they'd totally erase all the events following the INGAME timeline (Halo CE-Infinite goes poof)
Thats crazy because my friends and I got to that part after elevator jumping and using a mix of boosts, plasma grenades, and brute shots back in 2011 funny to think people never tried or got there themselves lmao
My friends and I got there using the same methods you did. Back when the game was released. I remember breaking out of tons of areas with my friends in Halo 1-3.
I notice in a lot of games, objects like trees and rocks and buildings extend a ways into the ground on the bottom. I'm guessing it's so they can put these objects on relatively steep terrain, and the ground won't dip below the object showing you where it just ends. Like you won't see the bottom of the tree object just because it's on an incline. Not sure if I'm explaining that well or not.
Yeah, that's how it works with most reused assets in games. You take it, plonk it down, then sink it in to the ground a bit so it's not floating. If the terrain is particularly steep, you may need to sink it quite a ways. It can also be extended even further to make 'variants', so not all trees are the same height (just covering the bottom), you can vary the depth that they reach in to the ground so they're less uniform without simply changing their scale.
It's so devs can be relatively leniant with their positions, and makes their use cases more diverse. A tree having modelled roots means you can have it as low or as high as you want, on steep terrain, you can even have it roots up like it's been knocked over.
“I will focus all my efforts on developing Halo 3 Anniversary and wiping any reference to anything that happened after Halo Reach” May all your Halo dreams come true. Bungie Halo, ONLY Halo
It's so insane to me how gamers will figure out ways to get out of bounds, or find ways to speed run. I think gamers always surprise the devs to see what is possible in their own game. Nice work dude.
Seeing how good your video and editing quality has gotten just in these past months since I found you is amazing keep it up shilt by far one of my favorite RUclipsrs right now
Woah you mean to tell me there's absolutely nothing out there in the part of the game that the player is not supposed to get to? No way!? That's amazing! Who would have thought that there would be nothing of interest in an area where the devs didn't bother with??????????? Truly mind blowing........
Actually if you read the pinned comment, it was allegedly designed intentionally so, even if there’s nothing on the other side. At best it could’ve been a hidden area, lost for countless years. At worst, it’s a fun little challenge
Man I was heavily into speed running games around Halo 3 and DMC4 era on Xbox 360. Me and my cousin found a lot of stuff we never saw online but this was before capture cards were something we could afford so these secrets like this one left my memory many years ago until seeing this video. Thanks for documenting it and jogging my memory. We never could figure out exactly what we were doing that made those places accessible. Guess I'm finna spend a bunch of hours watching Halo videos this week lol
Dude love the show my buddy and I are we’re obsessed with getting out of the map here so obsessed I had dreams about exploring it with my same friend and if we touched the water we’d die Keep doing what your doing man liked and subbed
We used to ride these phantoms back when the game was new, if you jump off the turret it'll go past the barrier and then you can jump back on the turret and survive. There's another place on Crows Nest where you can ride these phantoms. There's a large mountain range outside the hangar and if you ride the phantom until it crash lands, you can hold B to flip it and use it to get down to the bottom where there's a Pelican floating about 20 feet off the ground. We always wondered if there was a way to fly that Pelican. Also, you can get to that forest you were in by jumping across the river from the rocks where you elevator jump out of the map if you have a friend knock you across with a hammer while grenade jumping off of his head.
You take these tricks to the extreme, it really is a test of patience which you seem to have limitless amounts of. It's cool how you can take something that seems mundane in passing but is really though out and make it entertaining to watch.
love your content bro, made me and my friends go back to halo 3 mainly and spend hours of our lives trying to do these idea and even see if we can optimize them. keep up the good work xx

I once cloned the Arbiter completely by accident, not even knowing about the glitch. In general, glitching Halo has always been a weird satisfying thing for me lol, so this video felt really nostalgic. I also somehow passed the barrier once in Halo 2 over the bridge in a Banshee, and I have never been able to get past it since.
awesome that you showed more of the area, that's something I think could've been improved on so thats cool to see. And I vouch for you having control over the halo franchise, sounds like a good plan hahah
Love this stuff. I spent nearly every hour of gaming time from 2001 to 2013 playing Halo trilogy with buddies or alone and almost always busting out of the maps. Halo 1 is still as fun as ever and Halo 2 is still the most mysterious OOB game I've ever played. My son recently started playing MCC and I'll play with him once in a while and he loves killing the ODSTs or friendly covenants while I'm grenade jumping everywhere I possibly can. We have a blast I wish I had gone with my gut though back in 07 and actually made RUclips videos of my out of bounds adventures. There's no telling where I would be today if I had. Love the content though I'm gonna binge if the rest is like this video
I remember this 'glitch' from back in the day. We needed three or four people to be on top of each other and grande jump. And we would come to a large field with trees and grass. If we looked in a certain spot the visuals would completely glitch out. Great memories
There was a program you could explore maps to see where the skyboxes are for the soft/death barriers and checkpoint trigger zones. Checkpoint triggers also are dependant on if the game thinks 'there are enemies nearby' and if your shield is full or recharging. The cave of 1000 faces was the area I was talking about in another video on this mission, kudos for getting further and loading in the Dam section!
Hey this is pretty interesting stuff, very well explained too, thank you for all the effort you went through in making this video, I appreciate it greatly.

I definitely appreciate you exploring the areas you work so hard to get to. Awesome job as always! I love when the tricks have a complicated set up like this Also lol at the cave of 1000 faces I definitely saw some faces back in the day. Of course it isn't really a face, just two mirrored textures that aren't meant to be anything God bless you Shilt🙏
Wow…now that’s dedication. I would have relied on utilizing game breaking software but…it wouldn’t have been as fun or any kind of rewarding feeling. AWESOME stuff.
@thendroidz the powerful story of halo 4, how it showed the more human side of master chief, the struggle in halo 5 of doing what's right vs doing what you're told, and in infinite the story of overcoming great adversity and the closure needed for halo 5 in regards to cortana becoming corrupted. Such great stories would be lost if we erased them just because of the "343i bad" mentality. Alot of people give the games shit for bad writing but if you actually look deeper you can see the story being told and it's far better than it's getting credit for. Like in halo infinite when the pilot had his breakdown calling himself trash, worthless and a coward, the following scene where chief has that moment with him was honestly very strong and very well written. It seriously is far better than people will admit it to be.
@@moviemaker2011z some story elements of halo 4,5 and infinites are okay, but 343 did something to the halo lore that lead to the shitty tv show we had, they modernized halo, and now its fucked up, we had that aweful tv show and halo will never recover from it, they killed the IP, because they wanted to play on expectations, the very first order MC recieve in the show is to kill a civilian, wtf is this! bungie halo would have never allow this to air on tv, because it goes against everything halo is about, good vs evil, faith vs despair, i cant even tell you what the show is about...
@thendroidz you do realize Spartans were made to kill humans right? They were made to stomp out the rebellion in fact. If a civilian was considered a threat or part of the rebellion it makes sense that a spartan would kill them. Spartans are not made for honor, or for good vs evil. They are tools made to kill, and are used by O.N.I which is very very not so good. And by the way even 343i said that the TV show wasn't canon and that they were upset with how it was made and written. 343i didn't write it to my knowledge.

Literally re-living my childhood seeing your style of videos, bless you for going at it!
This absolutely reminds me of using the rocket launcher and a green crate for a crazy launch to the scarab gun on Metropolis.
I really like that Halo CE didn't seem to have death barriers, I explored so much outside of those maps lol.
And halo 2, unfortunately halo 3 has barriers so you can’t explore with arachnophobia without some glitches
I love your videos and your story, mate. The nostalgia I feel watching your content fills me with joy. I think I found your channel at the perfect time, man, and it’s hard to describe how much your videos mean to me. Keep going, mate!
Thanks bro, means a lot to both of us.
Stuff like this is why Halo 3 was my favourite childhood game
Doing stuff like this is actually soothing and I'm not sure why.
Damn bro you reset several times just to get the footage, big props for going all the way
It's 2024 and I'm watching a video on Halo 3 physics exploits. I feel alive again.
It's one of your best videos. Great breakdown, and thank you for showing us more of the spots you get into. I really liked that.
"Wiping any reference to anything that happened after Halo Reach"
If you were making this wish to a genie, they'd totally erase all the events following the INGAME timeline (Halo CE-Infinite goes poof)
so we would have what in that case? halo wars and halo reach being the only games in terms of the timeline?
3:39 Now that the Spamton was in here.
these video bring back so many memories! thanks for your hard work making these videos!
This is like reading through someones blog about why they made a chocolate chip cookie recipe and you end up making basted turkey.
i like that the music isnt synced with the successful trial. actually makes it more exciting to watch
you're gonna find the other half of the game and all the extra extra hidden skulls
your us of scrips are so good. love the diverse dialog.
Thanks for makin an old man feel young again! Your vids are awesome and bring back memories from my best days. Cheers!
A tree having modelled roots means you can have it as low or as high as you want, on steep terrain, you can even have it roots up like it's been knocked over.
i used to love doing this back in the day. so dope people are still finding new ways to get to new areas
These are the dam walls, and these are the dam tools, and this is the dam Halo mission.
Seeing how good your video and editing quality has gotten just in these past months since I found you is amazing keep it up shilt by far one of my favorite RUclipsrs right now
Me and my friend used to do this all the time as a kid. I think I have a dvd from my dads old camera filming it 🤣
Shilt for Halo Executive Dev
I remember Halo 2-3 for it's voice chat.
VETO VETO VETO 🤣
I look forward to your videos since i found your channel, it's like waiting for my favorite show to come on each week. This was awesome!
These videos bring me back to playing Halo 1 in high school, and how I had to try to play normally and not keep thinking "I bet I could get up there."
You're videos are awesomely unique. Thanks for all the hard work and cool vids.
Bruh the moment he said 17 years I felt my grey hairs tingle.. I'm 27 rn
"Wiping any reference to anything that happened after Halo: Reach"
A man after my own heart 😂
Dude love the show my buddy and I are we’re obsessed with getting out of the map here so obsessed I had dreams about exploring it with my same friend and if we touched the water we’d die
Keep doing what your doing man liked and subbed
Dude I am IN LOVE with these videos. I've been binging em over the last few days and I'm worried I'm gonna run out soon 😅
Keep it up!
i’m so glad your channel is blowing up, thanks for keeping our favourite games alive.
This was one of my favorite maps to get out of with my friends. Halo 3 came out when I was in 7th grade and EVERYONE was playing it. Such a good time
Amazing video man. I love your passion for the game this was one of my favorites as a kid
The amount of patience you have is by far your best tool!😂 love these videos please keep them coming!
love your content bro, made me and my friends go back to halo 3 mainly and spend hours of our lives trying to do these idea and even see if we can optimize them. keep up the good work xx
Loved this! It's always so fascinating to me to see how you figure out ways to get into the most impossible of places. Great work, so much fun to watch! 😎👍
Love these videos man. I'm a proud subscriber, because you're bringing me straight back to the days where I'd come home from school and dick around like this trying to find secrets and weird out of map things. I'll watch every single one of these you put out!
That takes me back! Me and my best friend in HS put in many hours trying to get outside the map in the HALO 2 levels.
Never played a second of Halo but I admire you're passion and determination. Awesome video. Amazing appreciation for someone's art can't imagine a higher compliment too anyone involved in the development of this game.
"No monetary prize, just the Halo franchise, I'll start by deleting everything post Reach." I like how you basically said 343 Halo has no value, I mean you're not wrong.
I remember going over to my uncles house after school and trying to do all the skulls, Easter eggs and out of map things. This video is scratching an itch I didn't even know I had.. so much nostalgia. So cool, thank you.
"Hidden jungle"
*is just some sloping geometry with trees on it*
I cannot begin to imagine the amount of frustration that went into this.
This content is so fucking good, and I'm so happy to see you getting huge traction with it in 2024. Awesome man
I once cloned the Arbiter completely by accident, not even knowing about the glitch.
Your dedication is unmatched! One of my favorite channels right now 👍
Crazy that all of this was found in the first place
Ahhh.. Finding glitches in Halo 3, 17 years later in 2024. Good stuff
This is truly great I support that art, the sweat and the music man sick for sure. we used to go the the black castle in Halo 2
"I WOULDN'T SHOW YOU THAT!"
Thank you for your service brother o7
I remember this 'glitch' from back in the day. We needed three or four people to be on top of each other and grande jump. And we would come to a large field with trees and grass. If we looked in a certain spot the visuals would completely glitch out. Great memories
This is Awesome!! The Internet needs more content like this!! Always tried this but thought i was the only one...
Friend and I did this a ton many years ago
but hey nice job finding it too mate!
Halo 3 physics impress me to this day!
Shilt Show for President 2028.
I remember trying to go everywhere in that game but the invisible ceiling made me really anxious
This js the vid I discovered your channel through and I’m very happy I did. God bless you brother love the content
Yeah this is just an exercise in pointless madness...
I randomly got recommended this video. But it was a very interesting video. You were very dedicated to getting outside of the map lol.
19:20 Do you think you can get to the secluded area from the textureless side, by say hammering/grenading up? As a test of the traversable topology ☕️
You could easily do it if you used a crate and hammer, but you would need 2-3 players to get the height needed if you have nothing else
Hey this is pretty interesting stuff, very well explained too, thank you for all the effort you went through in making this video, I appreciate it greatly.
I used to love getting out of the map in theater/forge and finding things.
It was just different back then.
Thanks for a great video as always, always love to see you post
I knew exactly what it was going to be, every few years me and my buddies will get on here.
I’m actually still friends with my first Xbox friend from when I was 12.
We call it the meadows, you basically showing the world our secret hide out. (I know a lot of people know but still)
I definitely appreciate you exploring the areas you work so hard to get to. Awesome job as always!
I love when the tricks have a complicated set up like this
Also lol at the cave of 1000 faces
I definitely saw some faces back in the day. I remember being young, convinced I had discovered some super-secret, Easter egg face when i broke out of bounds on The Ark. Of course it isn't really a face, just two mirrored textures that aren't meant to be anything
God bless you Shilt🙏
Wow…now that’s dedication. I would have relied on utilizing game breaking software but…it wouldn’t have been as fun or any kind of rewarding feeling. AWESOME stuff.
18:13 When I finally score with my crush 🙃
LOL
That made me chuckle Ha ha, Great way to start my morning - With a laugh. Thank you.
Good laugh 2 weeks later! Cheers!
wiping any refference to anything that happened after halo reach, brilliant idea i say
terrible idea, we would be losing some awesome halo games if that happened.
@@moviemaker2011z like what?
I've been here plenty of times. Alexo and I used to go in here and just kill each other in the pit.
That part is completely separate from what I talked about the entire video
Dope. It kind of reminds me of when I would exit the base map of Delta Halo via scorpion tank crawling up the somewhat traversable terrain.
I explored all these areas in Theater Mode when I was assigned the Easter Egg section of the Halopedia around 10 years ago I'm pretty sure there's nothing special aside from what's already documented in the wiki but it's impressive how you make it with the Master Chief. Like!
