Got it after my 2nd try. Really need to watch for any health damage! Also some times your heath indicator doesn't show so be careful. Probably reverted to last checkpoint about 20 times on my 2nd run. That scarab skull creates the ultimate OP weapon... Really fun.

It doesn't hurt to turn on Black Eye either, since if you get hit your shields won't automatically recharge, as there may be a time or two where you might have gotten hit but possibly didn't notice as your shields regenerated, so if you ever see your shields not 100% full at any point, they'll stay that way with Black Eye and you'll know you got hit someplace, just hope it was within the checkpoint you're on.

Got it 1st try. Using the acrophobia skull with invisibility you can skip many sections in this mission. Also it took almost 5 minutes of waiting before he finally said the dialogue.
08/2033 This still works. Be sure Thunderstorm skull is on, use scarab gun and play safe. Quickly restart from checkpoint if you get killed or damaged. Also restart from checkpoint if you feel like a plasma nade/explotion hit too close to you. And dont skip enemies, go through all the level killing everything. I got this to pop by standing in the middle section by the marine for quite a bit like a minute or two. On PC. Used flying skull in addition to the other skulls listed above.
I ran with Scarab, Boom, Sputnik, Bandanna, and Grunt Funeral 🤣. During the Drone part st 9:30, I just stood by the doorway and spammed the SMG at the ground near the middle of the room for about 2 minutes and everything definitely died. Including myself a few times lol

But, real talk, hwo ANYONE was supposed to figure that you have to had one specific skill active and get trough the whole level without dying to get this achievement? Like... the only hint you get is "she is not picking up" that is NOTHING to go on? The only realistic conection i can make is "well, since the first MEGG easter egg was in the first level on CE, it must be in the first proper level in 2" ... Seriously HOW?
I just did this twice and with the Black Eye skull to make sure I didn't get hit and didn't notice. The achievement never popped. (MCC on PC through Steam) I have on Thunderstorm, Black Eye, Bandana, Envy, IWHBYD (because it's fun), Scarab, and Acrophobia. Any that aren't allowed? Not sure what else could be the problem. Edit: Okay, so I just got it. I went into the final room with the bomb, shot no enemies in that final room, cloaked myself when running to the middle so I wouldn't be spotted, and hung in the middle and went back to the soldier and then came forward again. It seemed to randomly pop. Not sure if that's helpful for anyone in the future, but there it is. Also! In my latest run through, there's a section where you can jump from the upper part into the adjoining room, bypassing a stairwell with an elite at the top. Don't bypass anything; hit all markers (not even all checkpoints). Maybe that's what the problem was.
For me, I knew I didn't get hit but it took forever to actually trigger for me. I had to walk between the smg spawn and soldier for about an minute then I started jumping above him and it triggered randomly.
A couple of suggestions, first when you get to the final place to hear the recording stand there and wait five minutes may take a while. Second, when you die for any reason immediately press pause and then “restart last checkpoint”. Do not let it play through the death animation and restart for you.
First try was with infinite amo aswell, didnt pop for me. And all the guides I've watched were only picking these 2 skulls. Also everytime I took damage i killed myself but i guess you need to manually press restart to last checkpoint aswell. Atempt number 2 without infinite amo skull and reseting instead of suiciding : well turns out I had infinite amo still but the skull was inactive XD and I reseted everytime instead of suiciding AAAAAND MOSTLY I waited to hear the message and did not shoot at the elites in the final room. But I got the achievement yeah. thx for the help.

those buggers were such a bitch till i dual wielded the SMGs with Scarab skull, then went invisible with Envy, then sprayed wildy downward while they were all close together down below, got it 2nd try that way
I’m on Xbox. I have thunderstorm, scarab, bandana,, black eye, envy, iwhbyd, and piñata (accidentally left on) get to end room with no damage taken using the save and quit method when I do take damage. I’m not getting dialogue nor is the achievement popping, tried several times. HELP ME
Once I enter the final elevator and the screen gets the dark bars on top and bottom I get the UE4 fatal error Edit: restarted mission. Got to final room and never heard Megg. Achievement didn't pop Edit 2: stood in the backroom and middle area 3 times. Heard the dialogue. Achievement never popped up.

Fun fact: In the original Halo 2 the skulls would only be active when you picked them up on the level (complete opposite of MCC) and would stay active until you turned the game off (generally by shutting down the console.) There was a glitch where if you had the Envy Skull on and hit a checkpoint while your camo was active as the Cheif, you could turn the game off and when you'd start the game up and go back into campaign where you'd left off you'd have camo for the rest of the level. It was a particularly useful trick for getting the I WOULD HAVE BEEN YOUR DADDY skull which would only truly be activated once you beat the seven waves of Ultra Elites and picked up the actual skull.
Why won’t it work? I did it on legendary with thunderstorm, scarab, envy, and black eye. I took no damage. I skipped the cutscenes so maybe that has something to do with it. I also got a message saying that I turned on a skull with a zero multiplier and that achievements will be disabled because of it.
Did all this bullshit right until the end, and accidentally killed all the elites before I could go and pull the lever..... Fucked my entire run because it triggered the cutscene, this is the worst

Adding Grunts Funeral skull also helps as it completely clears areas half the time just stay at a distance

For some reason I had infinite ammo for the entire mission. Made the explosions even more fun.
