I was wondering what happened. I was watching you chop potatoes and then the video stopped.
Watching again 😊❤
Your recipes are so down to earth. My only request is that when you mention a specific type of potato, could you please reference a US/Canadian equivalent, thanks.
Im never betraying the animals!!!
Yummy recipes❤
The dirty fries recipe looks delicious and will try them with vegan chips or pita bites. Thx
Amazing 😻
Yes we always use chips only thing we add more ate chopped peppers, corn, sour cream yum 😋 😊
Hey Maddie, just want to say that I'm loving this new style of video where you really take the time to film the whole recipe process and explain each step as you cook. It's such a soothing antidote to all the super quick recipes on shorts where you barely have time to process what you're watching. Please make more !!!
This means a lot! I will continue with this format as everyone is enjoying it so much! It’s also so much easier for me to film by myself during my work week!
I actually just saw your cookbook the other day in my local bookstore all the way in wine country, California. Planning on buying it the next time I get paid. :)
I'm currently making the transition from mostly vegetarian to fully vegan, and your videos (as well as a handful of other vegan creators) have really helped me with making that decision and feeling confident about it. Can't wait to try that dirty fries recipe.
The fries are on my list for Superbowl this weekend! The way you talk about food and altering how we think about vegan meals is amazing. So non-judgmental and inclusive. I don't feel lost or deficient. Thank you for being such a positive guide.
My husband and I are from California and we spent 10 months in the UK last year. One of the main things that we miss is THIS is not chicken! It was one of our absolute favorites! I hope and wish and pray that we get that brand here in the US someday soon!
The chips meal! Wowee! That's on the menu for the weekend, thanks so much!👌
Enjoy!
I AGREEE! LOOKS SOOO GOOD!
Loved these recipes and really missed your cooking videos in general ...I wanna try all of them !!!
The red headband looks so nice, like how you styled it!
Those dishes look and sound amazing especially the brownies...yum!!! Thanks for sharing with us.
Ordered your book on Sunday and can not wait for it to arrive!! The wait is hard!!!
Everything I've made from your cookbook so far has been absolutely delicious!!!
I’m so happy I have found your page!!!!! These look amazing
You’ve been a major inspiration in helping me become Vegan last year. I’m loving the food and I will never go back. I’ve just bought your book , in fact mentioned it in a favourites video today. Thanks so much xx
I love your videos and the food looks delicious. So much so that I just ordered your cookbook. Can't wait to get it!
I received your cookbook a few days ago and made the Dirty Fries yesterday. It was so good! That walnut meat takes it to another level .Now on to another of the recipes. Does anybody else run to get the cookbook before you sit down to watch? 😂
Your book just landed in the East of France ! Thank you for all the inspiration and your kindness !
Awww yay!!
Another awesome video Madeleine and love 😍 the vegan recipes. Have a lovely week. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Madeleine & ❤ Alex.
these recipes are to die for!!
Omg your littlr monologue at 10:45 why am I SO MOVED 🥹
I made Alex's bread the other day from your book and it was by far the most successful loaf I've made to date. Thank you both for the great recipe!
This is so so amazing to hear!
I loved when you said that curries are a British comfort meal, here in the US they can be but Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and chili are the first comfort meals that come to mind :)
I can’t express how much I have enjoyed watching your videos over the years!! I think I can speak for a lot of viewers in saying that we are so proud of the person you’ve become and for everything you have achieved ❤ You really are a true beacon of inspiration for many people and I’m so grateful for every video that you’ve poured your heart and soul into xx Thank you for taking us all on your journey in life!
Best wishes,
Alex 😊
This video and especially the intro is so comforting and reassuring, This'll be my third year as a vegan, and I always see so many videos of comfort foods, or easy and quick meals or whatever, but not vegan. Sure, there tahnkfully are loads of vegan recipes and creators today, which really is great. And you are one of them, who makes you feel less lonely and motivates you in a society that can sometimes be so cruel, but hopefully that will change to!! But anyways, Thank You
These recipes are fantastic! I'm not vegan but because of you and this channel I've been slowly incorporating some of these meals into not only my diet but some of my friends and family as well. Can't wait to see more comfort recipes to try out next after these!
I love making curries using soy curls for the protein. Thank you for sharing these amazing recipes! I recently purchased your cookbook and I'm loving it. 🥰
Oooh I need to try soy curls! So happy you’re loving my book!
Really fan of your videos since ever. Greetings from Uruguay!
Your recipes looks so fresh and delicious.. yum! 🤩
Thanks!
I will definitely make the brownies in the weekend, they look insane😵💫 Also love the look you have while making the brownies, that makeup, shirt and bow really suit you!
Thank you so much!! Also let me know what you think of the brownies!
I will report back🫡
Thank you for the discount on your ebooks, Just purchased them and can't wait to try your yummy vegan food. Also purchased your cookbook since you offered such a wonderful deal.., looks like an amazing cookbook and can't wait to give it a go. Love your channel. Quick question lol... what is the cookbook you would recommend for Indian cooking? you said you would leave a link but I don't see it?!? Best wishes for 2024. Cheers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

🤩🥰😍☺️
Your nail polish is gorgeous!❤
I feel like I've never made perfect brownies - maybe this will be the perfect recipe, finally!
Amazing recipes thanku!
Delicous! I will be doing the potatoes in the air frier, to avoid the amount of oil.
What a BRILLIANT video. ❤ It’s these cooking videos that will hopefully get you a TV cooking show of your own. Dirty fries are on my menu for the weekend. 😁
Awww thank you so much!
The brownies look insaneeeeee
Yummy looking recipes!
I already got all your books/ebooks ❤
Hi, I enjoyed your vlog. Me and my best friend are going to try out this recipe. We enjoyed watching
I’m so pleased you enjoyed!
You can also buy vital wheat gluten (for making seitan) in person at many grocery stores not just online!
Oh cool! Not in the UK as far as I am aware!
Absolutely excellent choices For swaying People to stay vegan. I think you hit it right on the mark. Bravo
you are an amazing creative cook
Looks great! Always looking for more plant-based meals as I have a family history of Cancer so need to avoid the estrogen and possible BLV in dairy and choline and lead in eggs. Thanks so much for sharing
Look into the estrogen-like properties of soy.
My vegan experience with Gousto has not been to my taste, but very much like the look of these. Especially the fries!
You have such a natural, glowing, healthy beauty about you. You are the perfect advert for veganism if ever there was one. These recipes are fab and I’m looking forward to buying your book from Amazon.
This is so very kind thank you! I truly believe if I do have a glow as you say, it’s definitely down to all the veg!
Thank you for the video! :)
If you're baking in a frying pan I highly recommend sunflower oil or another high smokepoint oil (though sunflower is cheapest by far). at 7.05 you can see all the smoke from the olive oil that's just burning and evaporating. Sunflower will stay in the pan much longer, functioning as a conduit for the heat from to pan to the mixture next to having it not stick to the pan.
That isn’t smoke, it’s water evaporating from the mushrooms in the walnut meat mixture 🤩
Ummm can we take a minute to appreciate your hair/make up/outfit during the brownie recipe??? DIVINE 😍
Thank you!
Thanks for the recipes Maddy! This is my 1st time posting a comment and it is about something I have been struggling with for a long time - and with what has been happening in France with the farmers, even more so. How do you deal with seasonality? Tomatoes/zucchinis/eggplants in winter for sure come from far away, or from heated greenhouses and I struggle with the climate impacts of such crop growth ☹️
I do my very best!! Always trying to shop local each week and buying the veg that’s in season. As my job is a recipe creator I often have to share recipes outside of these specifics but I do what I can when I can ❤️
omg bang bang brocolli..agreed i skimped on the coating and didnt want it.. then made it as it should be and ate the whole head over 2 days..could have eaten in one, but had other stuff..
OMG those dirty fries look amazing. I’m running a retreat in May. I might actually make them for one of our meals. If I’m feeling like we need a naughty treat, I might make the brownies too. Yum!
Yum, really great food!
Gosh I’m going to the market right this minute!❤
😂🥰
I NEED to make the vegan butter chicken!!
I’ve been making a lot of your recipes lately and it’s really inspiring me to make things out of my comfy zone . Cooking is a lot like art for me. sometimes you get art block and get in a rut . It’s nice to feel creative about cooking again . Thank you . 🌱♻️🌏
I agree! I love following new recipes to inspire me and get me out of a rut!
I like the dish you should share. thank you😍😍😍😍
Heya! You mentioned to link vegan Indian cookbook but can't seem to find it. Could you please share it?
Already have both of yours 😀 amazing stuff
She responded to another comment that she recommends the Vegan Richa's Indian Kitchen 😊
@@nsmellowyellow1 thanks!!
Great recipes 😊
Thanks!
Glorious!!
Where can I buy your books Versatile vegan & Plant Kitchen Comforts 50% off. I just saw your video on RUclips. I have been looking for vegan recipes. Thanks
Maddie, what was the name of the vegan Indian cookbook you recommend please? Thanks for the great inspiration and recipes xx
She responded to another comment that she recommends the Vegan Richa's Indian Kitchen 😊
@@nsmellowyellow1 oh , I missed that. Thanks so much for replying to me. 🙂
I recommend Fresh India and East by Meera Sodha. She also writes recipes for the New Vegan column in the Guardian 🙂
I am not a vegan, but your recipes look so cool im definitely going to give them a try!!
I hope you love them!
For my fellow Americans, I would suggest the chick’n made by Daring. It is the absolute best vegan chicken I’ve found here. However, I think based on the measurements given, you would need three bags, so it gets a bit expensive. So perhaps do a combo of Daring and then tofu or tempeh.
I’ve found the Daring chicken to be a bit dry when I sauté it like the bag recommends. Do you have tips for alternative cooking methods?
@@rileylawson9958 in this particular preparation, I wouldn’t sauté it like the directions say. I’d thaw it and then toss into the pan at the step in this curry recipe says to do. I used Daring in a vegan chicken pot pie, and didn’t sauté it. I just added it in after all the vegetables had vsautéed and I made the cream sauce. Let it heat through prior to filling my baked puff pastry shells. It was delicious.
Yes! Vegan for life!
can you make rajma chawal its a great dish and iam also a great harry potter fan , best wishes from india
I had to look up Maris Piper potatoes, I don't think we have them here in the U.S. That's a pretty exotic name for something that looks like our standard russet here in the States.
A vegan comfort food of Mine IS falafel, i Bake them.
The First I could cook was a oven Curry with cauliflower, chickpeas and pears, ITS our traditional Christmas food since I was 16. Every year second day of Christmas and incedently, IT Happens to BE vegan
Dear Madeleine ~ on top of the lusciousness of the food you create an offer,
compassion and kindness that is a birthright ,pervades these videos .
On so many levels, the presence of all this creates home .
Defies the neutrality of modern technology ,,, keeping the spirit of life alive 🌱🍐🍒
I would like a hardcopy of your book. Is it possible to get it anytime soon?
What is cookie powder used in brownies?
Fries and chocolate, I'm in Heaven!!!! 🍟🍫
🍫 🍟 😋
Yum 😋
Yum
I've never heard of Biscoff. The spread looks like peanut butter. What kind of biscuits (USA: cookies) are those?
Love the meat replacements. I need more of these. I hate Tofu.
Yeah this is such a good one for those who don’t like tofu!
Oh, i just finished watching the original upload. Didn't notice any mistake there but i will give this video watchtime as well. =)
That's very kind! It wasn't anything anybody would have noticed haha
Hi! I've just subbed ❤
Your dirty fries look yummy! Help though.... I hwve GI issues so garlic and chilli don't get along with me, I get very poorly. Nearly every recipe I see has garlic and some sort of heat. Can you help me w9tk out how to do this recipe without the ingredients that upset my tummy. I'd appreciate the help as I struggle to think straight from my health conditions.
Great video. Much love to you ❤❤❤
Just leave them out! Will still be yummy!
@@MadeleineOlivia Thank you. I was concerned it may be less nice, as in tasteless. I appreciate you replying ❤
How do we get your recipes
Hello Madeline how can I buy your books at 50% off?
How do I enjoy chickpeas without all the shells/skin
I can’t find your books on Amazon.
Those dirty fries ❤❤❤
Such a relaxing video too, absolutely wonderful. 😊
Gutted I missed the discount on your ebooks....however you are very good at explaining how to make dishes.
The dirty fries and the brownies...omg I can't wait to make these.
Is this recipe available on a website or in your new book?
My new book!
Speaking of Mexico, I went to Oaxaca recently and actually the indigenous cuisine there (aztec/zapotec) is originally vegan. Meat only got introduced when the Spanish intruded on Mexico. Took a vegan cooking class and it was absolutely lovely.
That is so so interesting I need to look more into this!
My daughter is allergic to cashews, what would you use instead? xoxo
Coconut cream would work!
What would you say is a good nut alternative to cashews? Theyre the only nut I don't like and I really can't stand them, yet love all others.
Hmmm it’s tricky because they’re pretty unique in their creaminess! Probably blanched almonds!
@@MadeleineOlivia I'll give it a go! 😊
@@MadeleineOlivia did you pre-soak them?
I don’t as I have a vitamix which is a very high speed blender and I just blend slowly at first and increase the speed until it’s totally smooth. If you don’t have a high speed blender then definitely soak!
@@zellalaing5439sunflower seeds! They are also quite plain and neutral in taste, which is the main reason people use cashews. They don’t have as much starch as cashews, but they still have some, and if you need to add extra you can use tapioca flour/starch or cornstarch. Or if it’s something savoury, some cooked potato. Also you don’t have to soak them in boiling water for as long as you do cashews, if at all.
Ta produkcja powinna być obowiązkowa dla wszystkich.
I so enjoy your passion about the wonders of food. Glad being a vegan doesn't have to make an ascetic of you.
Those dirty fries 😍 my mouth is watering! Trying those this weekend!
Can you use peanuts butter instead ?
100%!
Wondering if you could adapt the walnut meat and make burgers 🤔
Could add a bit of flour and form patties? 🤔
You could totally try it!
Maybe add a cup of cooked rice? That would help to bind it. A tablespoon of tomato paste, too? Now I want to try it! Maybe cut back on the walnuts and add lentils? I need some burgers for the freezer! Good suggestion!
@@cyndij8312 that sounds delicious!!!
@queenbka thank you! I need to try it. I added rice to a veggie burger recipe once and it was the best texture. Great chew and not mushy. I didn't get the flavor right because I used too much worchestershire sauce and haven't tried again. But I will!
🥰
😍
Please can you recommend the vegan Indian cookbook? The curry looks delicious 😋
The curry is from my book Make Ir Vegan but I highly recommend the Vegan Richa’s Indian Kitchen!
Your salsa is actually called pico de gayo
Is the dark chocolate vegan? Stupid question I know, but I've been advised by my specialist to go gluten and dairy free. So I'm looking at vegan cooking
Warning… some are intolerant of chia. Flax eggs instead?
please make video with alex you look great together
