I agree 💯. I'm changing mine tomorrow and forgot what kind of oil I needed to get at AutoZone. I like to write down a list of what will be needing before going to get the supplies so I don't accidentally forget something. Thanks!

Changed out the oil on my 2015 Yaris this morning right after watching this video. I used the Fram xg4967 oil filter and Mobil 1 5w 30 high mileage full synthetic oil
This was a 2007-2011 yaris in the video. I have a 2009. It takes 3.9 quarts of oil. 4 quarts is a tad over, but not really enough over to damage the engine by overfill. This guy did a great job and did it right though.
I jack up the other side so more oil is drained out due to location of the drain plug. I either jack up the drivers side or drive the drivers side tire up on to a ramp.
Sir, can you help me with link to the gasket for the bolt please? Just came in the US and want to do oil change but don't speak English very well and don't know how to find the gasket. In my country I used to use copper washers. Thank you
My grandpa was a mechanic and I’ve been wanting to learn how to do this. I’m due for an oil change in January and want to try this out. Where do you recommend buying these products?
Yaris OEM Toyota oil filter Auto-zone sells Toyota filters 90915-YZZF2 $8.99 Or 6607 for aftermarket filters Go with OEM filters They will never let you down And designed to fit perfectly You also need a small oil filter wrench 2-3” should do it

I HAVE. YARIS. 2008. But I HAVE QUESTION. WHERE THE OIL LEVEL SUPPOSED HAVE TO BE. BETWEEN THE 2 holes. Or. Up to the SECOND HOLE. UP ? I hope you understand my question. Thank you
Its recommended to be in the middle of the 2 holes..the lower hole is the low mark...and the top mark is full...i prefer to put it at the full mark but thats my personal preference just because sometimes the owners dont check their oil level and it gives them more of a safety buffer
@@Romeo.Moderno well those timing chains dont necessarily have an interval, if the oil is changed at proper intervals theyll last much longer since they'll be well lubricated..its more the timing chain guides that will begin to wear out...but if u start hearing any rattle at startup, longer to start or misfires across the cylinders..then thats when youll wanna be sure to do that service
Doesnt have to be level, no matter how u do an oil change youll never get all the oil out..the drain pan is rounded on inside so the oil naturally slides out the drain bolt.
As of 2017 the oil drain plug is an 8mm allen bolt

Well Done! Thank you very much, used your instruction for my first oil change on my '08 Yaris.

Great video and nice looking Yaris. In much better shape than mine.
GOOD VIDEO. I will note, Fram filters are trash. The Supertech (walmart) filters are actually high quality and cheaper than Fram.
To let the oil flow out smoothly it helps to open te filler cap on top of engine.

usually should have the oil pan exposed even with the splash shields...what year is it?
It's so easy, why doesn't everyone just do it themselves instead of paying for it?
Well i think its also cause it requires tools and equipment so it does add up to do the first one
