Ben had so much free time, that he had an entire scene of pouring sugar into a bowl. If he had just done that with a pot, he could have made his own caramel instead of taking it from James.
I like that he sets timers to remind himself when his ingredients are done rather than relying on him remembering how long they’ve been cooking or something and making approximations which removes a large chunk of stress so he can concentrate on his more important processes more
James deserves the win just for the cool rolling pin catch 7:31. Oh and the food looks awesome too. Also disappointed you didn’t call the award The Cheffy’s.
I love it when you see the kitchen chef James start to show in these videos. 'You can get out of my way', then remembers he's on camera and not in a kitchen 'I mean... I love you'. And then Barry is literally me when I just wanted to run the food or help haha.
YES I AGREE I don’t understand why on his graphic of skills Sorted lists him highest in “Pretentious.” To me he’s the humblest person I’ve seen on any cooking show or restaurant
James all the way!! since the beginning - the naming and description of the plates, I knew James was going to get it. Good job guys. Now I want to make that recipe.
Can anyone else imagine Jamie at home with his wife and kids and the oven timer goes off and begins to pronounce to the whole house "SOMETHING'S BEEPING". *wife rolls eyes* XD
Can I just,,, i sort of forgot bens name wasn’t ebbers? And when it said Ben ebbrell i was like um that’s not his name but now I realise I’m just thick and need to go back to bed
I love how James celebrated the ingredients individually which is what Italian cuisine is all about. I love his style of cooking! It's always rural and simple ♥️
GuvernorDave touché. Though honestly I have mad respect for the fact that he attempted it at all. Even if he hadn’t succeeded. So I’d say both your responses are spot on.
Rewatching this again to mourn, it’s so peak James. Beautiful food, mozzarella from scratch in a timed challenge, sassing Ben’s lack of effort, plus how cool he looked catching that rolling pin. 💔
It's not very difficult honestly, like the mug cake he made in another battle the trick seems to be make something the "normals" don't think you should be able to make in the time.
the mozzarella was just incredible, like in one hour that is amazing. i love the presentation of ben's better as it was neat but the fact that james made cheese in one hour is impressive
James always takes on a lot during battles. When James says, "I love you." I replay that over and over again, closing my eyes, pretending he's saying it to me. Also having lived in Italy, James's antipasta dish looks better than any antipasta dish I've seen in Italy.
Can we do something super simple for the next chef vs chef like homemade jams/jellies,bread, and a drink. I'd love to see how something simplistic could be totally changed through exotic ingredients. Maybe something like Chopped where you get assigned a few ingredients that have to star on the dish?
That you guys managed to make all this is in just an hour is very impressive. Ben did a fantastic job but I fell in love with James' upon its initial description. Everything on that board looks incredibly delicious and yet, it's so simple.
This is one of those episodes where I sit here in absolute awe of the skills and planning being put to work. James, Ben, you are PHENOMENAL chefs, I would have called this a draw and taken you both out for coffee.
I'm re-watching Sorted while working from home, and my cooking achievements today were making scrambled eggs and using a food processor to make bacon into bacon bits. I'm also sorry to say, it was pre-cooked bacon.
Dona Deric he has wicked moves! There’s also the episode where he takes down, um, Jamie I think it was?-with a smooooooth martial arts move. I don’t even remember what the subject was. That’s what I remember, because daaaaaaaamn. 😍
Wow, amazing job chefs! And Jamie’s “ you know what time it is” at the end had me wondering if y’all were collaborating with Rhett and Link for a second! Dad joke- I agree with James in the background saying shut the door -groan! 😁
I absolutely love those chef vs chef battles. You guys are taking food to whole new level od awesomnes and fantasy! Greetings from PL, nice to see some polish alco here!
James: “You can get out the way, I mean I love you, I love you!” 🤣
Olivia Taylor James is me when I’m busy and realise I said something a bit rude 😅
At what time?
7:18
only true friends will not get offended xD (i say that a lot too)
Olivia Taylor lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll) l
Ben had so much free time, that he had an entire scene of pouring sugar into a bowl.
If he had just done that with a pot, he could have made his own caramel instead of taking it from James.
lol
When you think you couldn’t love James any more - then you see how organised he is with his many timers
Thirsty girl.
@@Maghanashi can you really blame her tho?
@@nerroworks7562 Can certainly be jealous of it ^^

DITTO love James
James went totally next level. All of that roasted goodness, fruits, vege, prosciutto and HE MADE HIS OWN CHEESE!!!!!
Firewolf Bizahaloni-Wong all in an hour!!!
James deserves the win just for the cool rolling pin catch 7:31. Oh and the food looks awesome too.
Also disappointed you didn’t call the award The Cheffy’s.
Yes! 'The Cheffy's' is perfect.
I love how these battles show how skilled the chefs really are. Imagine making what James did in a Pass It On.
Are we just going to ignore how badass James looked when he caught the roller
i dont think jamie could ignore it :P
James encapsuled the Italian tradition in one dish. That abundance made me so proud, you understand everything.
You can't use my caramel! *clutches pearls*😂😂😂
Bব

giggling at Barry saying "that'll look cool on camera" when James catches the rolling pin :D
That was a next level catch from James
Take 50
James dish looks like a work of art
When you combine together the dishes James and Ben made you get the perfect meal.
Yeah, that happens quite a lot in these.
"i mean no offence...
... *i love you* ...
.. *i love you* .."
Why does James seem so calm all the time but does the most complicated things?? 😂

Being a chef oriented to cooking more than camera.
He’s Scottish.

"No offence...i love you, I love you" is there anything more adorable than James?
(No there isn't)
Mike’s voice overs are always the best!
Don't you mean Janice? Haha
I love it when you see the kitchen chef James start to show in these videos. 'You can get out of my way', then remembers he's on camera and not in a kitchen 'I mean... I love you'. And then Barry is literally me when I just wanted to run the food or help haha.
"Did I just get promoted..?" Haha best answer when you win! c:
I really love how polite James always is... AND this channel is my favorite food channel on youtube❤ You guys are genius all together 🤩
Would love to see every process & tip of James's one hour mozzarella. It's brilliant!
Can anyone else imagine Jamie at home with his wife and kids and the oven timer goes off and begins to pronounce to the whole house "SOMETHING'S BEEPING". *wife rolls eyes* XD
Jamie saying something's beeping, something's beeping, something's beeping!
Reminds me of my 5 year old when I'm baking or cooking 😂🤣

Benjamin David Ebbrell 🤓
Thicc ;)
I love how James celebrated the ingredients individually which is what Italian cuisine is all about. I love his style of cooking! It's always rural and simple ♥️
Except none of theese dishes were Italian
James wins this purely for the audacity of what he attempted to do. Impressive.
attempted? You mean "succeeded at"?
GuvernorDave touché. Though honestly I have mad respect for the fact that he attempted it at all. Even if he hadn’t succeeded. So I’d say both your responses are spot on.
I really think they teamworked it into a combined win. both dishes are perfect, and compliment eachother.
Fizz vs Squeak. I personally prefer fizz but that squeak looked impressive.
As a chef myself, James shows a higher level of technical skill every time. Absolutely fabulous each challenge!
I was worried this would be some sort of April Fools Day video and I’m glad to see it’s not because I love chef vs chef videos.
April fools would have been an ultimate chef versus chef pre-bought ready meal battle.
Rewatching this again to mourn, it’s so peak James. Beautiful food, mozzarella from scratch in a timed challenge, sassing Ben’s lack of effort, plus how cool he looked catching that rolling pin. 💔
one hour mozzarella ........ WTF?
yeah that blew me away... gonna try that at home.
It's not very difficult honestly, like the mug cake he made in another battle the trick seems to be make something the "normals" don't think you should be able to make in the time.
Every once in a while I watch this video. I think it’s one of the quintessential SortedFood videos and it’s a pleasure to watch each time.
5:29 how much of me misses Mike in this episode :'(
7:21 "No offense, I love you" Like watching my family engage with eachother
nothing will ever be as satisfying as hearing jamie and barry say "96%" 5:28
That high pitch voice though
but the harmony tho.
I was seriously caught off guard that Barry(!) did the low voice
James' dish is one of the most aesthetically pleasing things that I've ever seen
the mozzarella was just incredible, like in one hour that is amazing. i love the presentation of ben's better as it was neat but the fact that james made cheese in one hour is impressive
7:32 that catch tho!😮
i roll my eyes so badly with dad joke of the week yet i always stay "Just the door" omg

The best part of the video is Mike's description of the chef's dishes.

It was a close run thing, but James' anti pasti and the effort he put into everything was really impressive.
Everyone needs to appreciate Barry's face when James told him to get out of the way XD

5:29 That was the most in tune unison sentence I've ever heard. :)
13:55 Ben's snort in response to that dad joke is fantastic
I'm very much in agreement there. James' dish had me salivating. Also, the sandwich should have been called the 'Concorde'.
I was just looking at the playlist of these yesterday desperate for another one. Perfect timing! Thank you sooooo much.
7:32 just when you thought James couldn't get more attractive

Been binge watching all the battles but this one topped it off! Fantastic work guys..leaning more with the ginger on this one!
james telling barry he loves him is honestly the highlight of my night
The “fizz” “smoothness” and “crunch” of Ben’s dish won me over. It’s a dish that engaged your senses!
Okay but why is nobody talking about how we need a documentary commentated by Janice?
When James whispered "it's yours" then "it's mine" my heart ahh
I love watching you guys! Your interactions with each other is almost like a family.
Love Italian food. You guys are awesome. props to your team
So do we!!
It’s so nice how both chefs say nice things about each other’s dishes.
I love Ben, and his dessert was amazing! That said, James did deserve the win in this case!
Inside of two days this has become my new favourite RUclips channel.
Next chef vs chef battle should be home-style! Something that represent both awesome chefs childhood recipe/dishes that they enjoyed!
Yes! Maybe with the parents as judges or special guests? That'd be fun!

I LOVE THE DRAWINGS MIKE!!!! Lol!!!
James' plate was beautiful. Love to see instructions on how to make it.
WOW ! it's really a whole another level when the chefs cook . I mean the techniques and apparently flavors !
I sometimes eat storebought bread with my bolognese, because I can't be bothered to wash another pot.. Who does all your dishes?
I bet you they have an intern...and a dishwasher
The loser of the challenge should do all the dishes ;-)
sorted has become my favorite channel honestly !
Sorted Makes My Sundays Bearable !! 96% Polish Alcohol....I thank you Ben. But I'm sorry Jamie, that joke needs putting out of it's misery !!!!
Actually, on its own spirytus is basically undrinkable. Unless cooled really really well.
