That first access looks a lot like the canoe access where Lebanon Road crosses Mill Creek. That creek has 4 or 5 of those accesses. They were built by volunteers from Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association (TSRA). I’ve been a member for many years. Good organization that promotes river conservation, paddling skills, and river access.

Mill Creek is awesome all down it to all the way to nolensville TN. Gar and bass to large small mouth. Kayak is the best way to fish it but like all creeks in Tennessee. Are the best places to fish.

its sad a company fenced up the lower TSRA access point on Whites Creek. Its very hard to fish it now. Hoping something can be done, since it doesnt even seem like they own all the property they built fence on.

I'm not sure if you were in the Stones River, but according to my Tennessee fishing guide the Stones River is where the Tennessee record Rock bass (Redeye)was caught in 1958 by Bill Sanford. It weighed 2 pounds, 8 oz. The reason I mentioned that is because you often catch Rock bass in other creeks. I catch them quite often, and three weeks ago I hooked into one that was 11-1/8th inches long. I caught it on a Hellgrammite as well. Good video John.

I’m new to your channel, glad I found it. I’m a few hours south of you in Atlanta. Was curious if you had ever fished an hour and 1/2 south of me on any of the creeks or tributaries of the Flint River. The Shoal Bass fishing is a blast. My favorite spot was along Potato Creek south of Thomason. Doesn’t look like you have a storage of spots to fish, but in case you were getting bored with Smallmouth, or were in central Georgia and had a few hours to kill.
Felt bottom boots, an ultralight, broken back Rapala, and a crawdad jig and you’re in business. (Very rocky, boulder style fishing)

4:30. Little story. About 1990. Was going to a small river off I95 near New Haven, CT. Pulled off highway. Saw an old Lincoln Continental parked off the highway. Looked like it had brush, sticks on it for camo? Weird. Walked into woods near where I fished. Saw an "encampment". A group of people actually looked like they were living by the creek. Permanently. Even had laundry hanging off a makeshift clothesline. I was carrying but I still got the heck out of there before they spotted me.

A tip I would give about creek fishing is to fish upstream instead of down. The reason is that fish in creeks tend to face upstream and wait for prey to be washed past them. By fishing upstream you are less likely to spook fish before you get a chance to cast a lure over them.

What is your most favorite panfish bait for big panfish when they are hard to catch in semi clear water.

Trout magnets or a 1 inch to 2 inch Berkey Gulp minnow. Those are my “go to” baits for panfish.

@@SMaamri78 How would you fish a trout magnet because clearly under a float doesnt work, that is how i used the crappie magnet and nothing bit it.

Where does a 500 lbs bear fish? That's right anywhere he wants to.
Been on vacation and had to much work to do to get to go fishing.... something seems all kinda wrong about that. Thanks for sharing John.
    God bless

I think you need to put more line on you reel, you will get more distance that way.
