- NEW CFA STORE creekfishingad... This is probably my favorite video that i have been able to make. Such a fun amazing day fishing a creek in middle Tennessee. The water was clear and beautiful looking. The fish were not really hitting moving lures but were tucked into the deeper pools in the current. Getting the lure to sit in front of them was what seemed to be working. Caught several really nice bass and one that had to be right at 20 inches. I love fishing and exploring creeks like this, it's amazing to see how much healthy good sized fish there can be in a creek out in the country. I hope to be able to keep fishing these kind of places and get even bigger fish, buti always enjoy everything that bites.

I love this! I have a Tennessee Gazetteer book that I have marked all of the great creeks over the last 30+ years. There is nothing like fishing the creeks. I fish the big lakes and rivers and even fished many tournaments, but for true pure enjoyment I'll take a sunny day and a creek. Back in the day, we would open the Gazetteer book and just pick a random creek several counties over and explore. If that book ever got into the wrong hands... well I'll leave it at that.

Catch some crawfish smaller ones preferably Smallies love crawfish like we like lobster. Find a deep pool or Eddie. Good Luck 👍 🎣

Get a nice small folding pack net. You can keep it on your waist ad whip it out when you are landing a fish you will not lose fish any more at the shore like that big small mouth or that big trout in your other video. There is a Handy Pack net on Amazon. I am sure there are other brands available.

There's one guy on RUclips that has had a channel on here for the past 4 or so years, and only has 31,100+ subscribers. You've been on here what, 2-3 years, and you're out-doing him! I won't mention his name, but you stay at it with these videos, while he only puts out one once in awhile. Are hellgrammite and a grampus the same thing? My uncle hauled in a 4.5 pound smallmouth in an East Tn creek last year.
I'm 61 y/o, and wading barefooted in streams like that will always be in my top 10 favorite memories.
I'm a disabled vet . I can't get around to good but it's on my bucket list to catch a small mouth bass. I seen my dad catch one in rocky creek here in NC . Maybe one day !

There's a guy on RUclips that claims to be a Christian, but sometimes he blasphemes so much, that I know that he ain't walkin' the walk! I won't say his name, but he lives in Texas, and he predominantly fishes for Crappie. I actually unsubscribed from his channel earlier this year, but went back to his channel, and re-subscribed. If I hear even one more blasphemy outta his mouth, though, I'm unsubscribing again, and this time, I'm making it permanent!

People catch 10 lb largemouth in private ponds, people catch 5lb small mouth in lakes
But that's a whole different skill set then exploring and finding these big fish.
I bet either one of us could outfish a lake fisherman on these creeks/rivers, and vice versa!

What a gorgeous creek, I live in Ohio..we have a couple decent creeks near me, , but none as nice as those in Tennessee ...I build lures and built a salamander lure that would probably work really well there!😁👍

Im from Tennessee myself and man it's loaded with creeks,I have caught some of my biggest bass from a small creek,and even catfish,I think the biggest small mouth and largemouth I ever caught was under 4lbs lol but it was fun,I ain't gonna complain,I don't much keep any bass but bluegill from creeks taste so good,anyways awesome channel man,I subscribed,keep up the awesome fishing

There's some good smallmouth streams around here(Cookeville, putnam/Jackson County area),but never caught quite the caliber that you have in the video..Looks like the helgramite is the go to bait of choice!👍You and Reid can definitely bang on those smallies!Awesome vid!

This is the best. I just discovered you after getting into 618 fishing and you're awesome dude! Love the footage and especially your style in locating these amazing creeks. I travel to Lake of The Ozarks, Missouri to fish from Illinois but I bet if I started hitting those creeks under some of those overpasses and such like you, I'd be one lucky man. I've only seen a few of your newer videos and I am extremely satisfied with how you do the whole damn thing, period. That one "largemouth" was actually a spotted bass. The mouth was in-between the size of a large and smallmouth....if you would have felt its tongue it would be like sand paper. Awesome vid!

Love catchin' smallies in our local creek. Me and my buddy Tim have fished the Wildcat creek for over 20 years together. We've caught several 4 pound plus small mouth and nice walleye over the years. Absolutely love wading and creek fishing!

The fish you caught that you had never seen before we call "horny head" in East TN, but my family assumes that it is a large creek chub.

I fished a tiny creek today in the 412 that had nothing but creek chubs and minnows. My largest catch was similar sized to John's catch. Horny head creek chub

@@dmfb68 I think from this Sunday (10/05) it is widely expected that our Prime Minister is going to allow other forms of outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, golf and tennis etc, along with the once daily exercise we are currently allowed, but the lock down will remain for the time being because we now have the very much unwanted tag of having the most covid deaths in Europe, and we are 2nd only to the USA for worldwide deaths from covid
The James river down town Richmond VA has some really big small mouth bass in 1987 i caught one almost 7 pounds beautiful fish i let her go they really love crickets

Man I miss those little creek and river smallies since I moved to Ga years ago. I used to wear em out just over the hill from you in NC. Loads of fun fishing!
That knotty little fish you caught looks more like what we called Horny Heads in NC. That was a female, kinda drab color. The males develop a raised hump on their head like a chichlid. Beautiful pink fins and belly. I don't know a better name for them and I've never caught them outside of the mountains very far. So maybe not? But a redhorse is a sucker.

I've had to work hard this spring to find spots and obtain written permissions. Surprisingly, not every land owner is all gung ho about letting people on their property. Go figure.

Dude, I really appreciate your enthusiasm but please quit grabbing all those fish on their sides. Lol. If you have to at least wet your hand first. Have you ever tried using just a little bit bigger bait!? With your skill and some of the places I see you fishing I bet you could catch some 4-5-6 pounders. Regardless keep up the great work.

Had a stroke and can't always go, but do when my wife isn't looking. This is my favorite video yet. Not because all the fish but the time of year when they start hitting.

Videos like this really get me psyched up for the season! Brother, you've really had a great couple weeks. Up here in OH, this type of fishing is slower & colder right now, but we are on the cusp of some great fishing over the next couple weeks I suspect. I priced those helgramites, and they are out of my price range, but I have many other options. God bless!

I wish we had creeks like that in my area. All of our creeks are like a 1/4 or if luck 1/2 your alls size. Can't use a 6' 8"+ rid bc its so tight...
When I fish at Mill Creek here in GA (the creek you fished in your last video) the go-to lure is a weightless white Zoom Fluke. It’ll catch everything both small & giant!! It would have definitely been a gold ticket in this creek for sure
