INGREDIENTS
8 bone in skin on chicken thighs
1 cup of flour
salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 cup oil for frying chicken
1 medium onion, minced
5 cloves of garlic, minced
2 Tbs butter, i used salted
2 Tbs of the seasoned flour
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 chicken bouillon cube
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
2 tsp dried basil

I was needing to cook some chicken that I was going to slow cook for dinner but I ended up having company and I needed something quicker for lunchtime and I googled chicken with homemade gravy, I picked this recipe because It looked yummy, had the inge conveniently in the description and thankfully I had everything except the heavy cream but I substituted some creamy almond milk. This was scrumptious! Thank you so much for this recipe, I'm adding it to my list of favorites!

This is almost like the chicken and gravy we make in Louisiana. Not so much cream and add some "Slap Ya Mamma" seasoning and Bacon Grease...with rice of course. Very good recipe. Made like you are from the south.

@@PDXTundra I seen it and I made this a couple week’s ago but since I don’t have a large skillet I used a casserole pan pan stuck it in the oven. Took about 45 min but it came out so good, the grnkids all loved it

What do you mean by cleaning the chicken,they tell you not to wash chicken any more because of bacteria,i use to wash chicken but not any more when you cook it it kills any bacteria.

Why did mine taste like Italian dressing
Looked like a great recipe…cooked it exactly as this video/recipe…yet the final product was NOT as advertised….I suspect that the recommended temp of 425 degrees, was too high, as the sauce got vaporized….and burnt to the bottom of my cast iron skillet….bottom line, bummed by the final product….
