I made this for dinner this evening - a great success with the whole family. And bone-in chicken thighs are a pretty inexpensive meat. Always looking for an economical dinner for the family.
Looks amazing! One great tip I learned with chicken thighs, is cooking them skin side down for 4/5ths of the time and only turning them for the last few minutes. The crispiest, most golden skin possible.👌
I am a new subscriber a little because of the recipes but honestly recipes are all over the internet. I’m subscribing because of who you are😊 Your amazing vibes come straight through the screen😘
This looks so good!! I think you're right about the side needing to be fresh and light; it strikes a great balance with the punch of the chicken thighs.
We eat a lot of chicken in my house, besides ground beef, it's just less expensive. The chicken thighs look great, Thank you, Mis Camirra!! As far as this meal, I would do yellow ice or Spanish rice on the side, not really a big fan of potatoes, and I love me some good hot, rice. :)
I just took 6 chicken thighs out of the freezer and was looking for a new recipe. I’m making this one tomorrow and can’t wait for my family’s reaction . This looks delicious! Can’t believe I have all the ingredients on hand.
@@mpdelgadoit was a hit and this recipe made it into my recipe binder. We will be having this meal over and over for years to come. Thank you for sharing it.
I can see from your video that you are a great cook. My mom and any grandma taught me how to cook. We always had fresh rosemary and fresh urbs growing in the garden. It makes everything taste so delicious. Thank you for the recipe. Can't wait to see more recipes from you.
Can't go wrong with chicken thighs. The best part of the chicken in my opinion. Will always choose this option over dry breast meat. Yum! 2 thumbs up! 😊😊😊
This looks absolutely delicious and I want to compliment you on the beautiful colors of the meal when you plated it up! I’d give anything to taste that gravy. Yum.
I'm glad this video popped up on my feed. I love spending time in the kitchen and always keep an eye out for great home chefs like you. Looking forward to more recipes.
I think a good side of cornbread would be awesome with that meal. Thank you for sharing this. It looks absolutely delicious. I love your sense of humor. Good job.👏👏
Chicken thighs are the best! As a matter of fact, a few hours ago I took a package of thighs from the freezer to the fridge for dinner tomorrow. A Jewish friend of mine says it's the schmaltz [chicken fat] that makes the difference in taste. Btw, you're very, very entertaining. Thanks for the fun!
I just cooked this tonight and I must say that this was really good!! That sauce is 😍😋! I chopped up a sweet potato instead of a potato and added a red bell pepper to chop up as well. The sweet potato cooked in the sauce tastes amazing. Thanks for this recipe. 🤗
I will definitely be making this for my birthday dinner tomorrow!!! I'm going to make it with Vigo yellow rice and the salad you prepared. Thanks for sharing. God Bless You always 🙏
It looks delicious. I bought my chicken thighs today and now found this recipe, so will be trying it out tomorrow. Thanks for the recipe, can’t wait to try it….
This looks great! I absolutely love your comment You know what you should do but you know what you're going to do today! Yes maam, Exactly! Looking forward to making this. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Beautiful, another great dish😋. I'm a country caterer girl,😉. I would like more stews or and soups, most ppl have things in the fridge to make a great soup or stew, but not sure of what too do to get a delicious meal in one pot. Love you,God bless and keep ya'll🙏💜
Beautiful cooking 🎉 One of my favorite meals. I like to grow my own white icicle radishes and add them with the other veggies. I use the small yellow Yukon potatoes. Only no cumbers for me. You got it going on. ❤
A quick meal thrown together that turned into a favorite is chicken thighs baked over Stove Top Stuffing. Put prepared stuffing in casserole dish. Place thighs on top and bake. Not much seasoning is needed for chicken due to herbs in stuffing but I lightly dust the skin (and upside) with salt, pepper, onion & garlic powder. The juice from the chicken drips down into the stuffing and is unbelievably delicious.
You are ADORABLE!!! I usually cook the thighs in olive oil and salted butter with about 6 smashed garlic cloves and some sage! Really good!!! The other recipe that I use is from the Philippines, which is where my former husband and his family are from. I absolutely love this recipe. You get some fresh ginger and make little discs of them cut little discs that are thin you put in about four yellow onions, cut in ringlets you’re gonna put in about 2 cups of apple cider vinegar or white vinegar and just enough water to one cup of water and you put about believe it or not about half a cup or more of soy sauce and you let that chicken just simmer in a closed pot almost like you’re going to make soup and they eat it over rice and sometimes they don’t eat any vegetables which I don’t like, but you can add green beans and garlic and soy sauce, and that would be amazingso I think you should look that one up. I think it is called chicken adobo, and it is from the Philippines.
I have two recipes using chicken thighs that my family asks for all the time! One is Pozole Verde and the other is Mississippi chicken. I use my Instant pot for both and they're always a hit! As a southern girl I do show my cast iron plenty of love too, especially when it's time for some fried catfish, okra, and corn bread! The Southern Alabama in me comes all the way OUT on those dinner nights! 😅❤ I loved this video and your sauce recipe sounds delicious! I need to pick up some MSG! Thank you for sharing!❤
I have cooked chicken thighs with onion soup mix orange juice and cooking sherry it's delicious .Brown the chicken until golden brown add the onion soup mix orange juice and sherry cook until chicken is tender.
That looks delicious! I need to make this soon. I love to make chicken paprikash. Season with salt and pepper, and sear the chicken like you do. Remove from pan and sauté chopped onion and garlic. Add in smoked, sweet, and hot paprika. Stir, then add a can of diced tomatoes. Put chicken back in pan and cook in oven until tender (I love low and slow for fall off the bone chicken). Finish sauce with sour cream. Serve with veggies and egg noodles.
Camirra! I have made this recipe at least five times now, it is so good! Thank you so much for posting this video, because it has become a true go to for me!
I love the idea of the salad - something fresh green and crunchy to accompany the chicken thighs while allowing the chicken to be the star of the show!
I'm thinking about bed of long grain and wild rice would be a perfect compliment, both to the chicken & veggies and salad! An additional touch could be toasted almonds or pine nuts...
This recipe looks awesome! My Dad loved thighs as well. You asked about an additional accompaniment to this delicious dinner. How about hot biscuits? I just subscribed to your channel. Thank you. Julia
No need to wash chicken before cooking, just make sure to cook thoroughly. Washing chicken and other meat can spread germs through splashing, even a tiny bit. If you do wash it be sure to wash the sink and surrounding counter with hot soapy water and thoroughly sanitize sink and surrounding area including counter.
We don’t wash chicken to kill the bacteria, we wash it to remove the slime and excess fat. If you don’t clean your chicken that’s fine, but why do you think your opinion matters to her? As if bleach and cleaning products don’t exist.
My family loves air fried chicken thighs. I make a mixture of paprika, lemon pepper seasoning mix and garlic powder and shake it in a bag and it makes a seasoning paste. If you cook it on 350° in the air fryer skinside down 30 minutes, flip then skinside up for another 15- 20 minutes and it's good. Crispy skin and fully cooked
I made this for dinner. I prepped ingredients yesterday and came home from work today and was finished cooking in 20 minutes and then put it in the oven. It was delicious and I will definitely make again.
This looks absolutely delicious. I will be trying it. As far as the side dish, I think just the salad is enough. I wouldn't add anything else...thank you!
One of my favorite seasonings to duat chicken thighs with is a liberal amount of seasoned-salt, granulated garlic, and fresh cracked black pepper. Its great baked in the oven or cooked on the grill. Especially tasty on charcoal 😋 i made chicken leg quarters in the oven like this last week. One of my boys told me it is better than the fried chicken from the grocery atore. I love that fried chicken so i took this as quite the compliment.
That looks like an amazing dish. My family would love it, I’m going to give it a try. Thank you for taking the time to show the little side salad. It really helps us to figure out how to put an entire meal together.
I can’t wait to get over this cold and start cooking again. This will be the first thing I cook. It looks delicious and exactly what my family would love ❤️
Just discovered your channel and I think I'll be going down the rabbit hole! I could watch (and listen to) you cook all day! I'm always looking for new recipes and these look great. I do a similar dish (LOVE chicken thighs) but I do seasoned flour & I bake it. Comes out crispy & juicy.
You go girl. I made it last night, crazy good. I did a few things different, first I removed the bone so the thigh would lay flat. Then I used hot chili sauce instead of mild. The veggies were cooked to perfection. Great recipe, thanks for posting.
omg I think I love you! The chicken dish looks super luscious, yet easy... but the way you made the side salad was innovative! I never thought to keep the big chunk cut salad veggies separate from the greens, and dress them with only red wine vinegar and no oil.... and then top the salad greens with the vinegar-dressed veggies! Subscribed!!!
I*m so blessed to have found your channel. I cooked a Dinner of yours last week and OMG totally blew me mind. this one I will cook this dinner this Sunday. Thank you for sharing.
I am preparing Kentucky Bourbon chicken thighs with garlic . They are baking right now in my crockpot . Can not wait to taste them. What can not be delicious with the Bourbon?😋😋😋
"Me and Personally" say the same thing. It's like saying me me, or Personally Personally. When you say "me" we already know its personal. Nice video. I'll try the recipe! Thanks.
its more of a slang phrase "me personally" . its not about grammar, its just slang. so putting it together is for emphasize. esp if you see someone say it with certain facial expressions.
Arroz con pollo with my chicken thighs . Seasoned with onion, garlic, and red bell pepper diced sautéed in olive oil. I add rice to the pan drippings and I use beer for the liquid to cook the rice and chicken. Then I add a couple tablespoons of pimiento stuffed olives. This is all steamed together in a Dutch oven till done! And yes I add salt to the rice as you would to cook rice. This is so good. A family favorite!❤️
One of my favs is olive chicken. 1 (glass) container of olives, lightly blended, mixed with 5 to 6 pounds of thighs, placed in a couple of Pyrex dishes and baked in the oven for 45 minutes @ 375. Serve atop veggies and rice. Suuuuper simple, and absolutely delish!
Hello Camirra: I loved watching this recipe come together. I will definitely add it to my recipe list! I think the dish is perfect in itself -- you've got the seasoned chicken, the potatoes & veggies, Plus a salad! If anyone wanted a bit more, you could add some type of beans -- pinto, or whatever, to add to the table. But again, it is so complete, you really don't need the extra dish, only for those hungry tiger types!! Thank you and I'll let you know when I make the dish!!!
When my kids were small and lived at home, I used to make mushroom chicken with thighs. It’s also a great recipe for those who like chicken thighs. It’s pretty simple and easy!! Plus, you can pair it with rice, regular potatoes, as well as sweet potatoes and a salad. And, it’s delicious!!! Loved your recipe and going to make it before going to work tonight!! 😊❤
You don't need any additional side dishes for this recipe. Most everything is on that plate already. Maybe some bread to mop up all of that wonderful sauce. Looks like a great recipe and I will be trying it soon.
Okay I just found you like 10 mins ago and I already love you and i've just subscribed! It's so nice to hear someone talk the way that I do, girl i'm from Texas and the biggest mistake I made in my life was to marry an Englishman two weeks after meeting each other 19yrs ago, i'm stuck in the English Countryside and it's food hell!
I’m also a new subscriber and kudos to my husband for finding your channel! He loves chicken thighs but we don’t grill in the wintertime here in Wyoming and this recipe is now the menu. You nailed the entire meal! Thanks; looking forward to more!
I couldn't find this recipe on your site, so I had to re-watch it, pausing many times to get all the directions. It seems very straightforward and intuitive, but you'd be surprised how many nuances one could forget when trying to duplicate it from memory. I am going to make this tonight. Wish me luck.
It was a hit! My family owns a restaurant and most of us are good cooks, so that’s saying something. 😉 We're trying to take it easy on carbs, so we don't need another dish beside the salad, but when I serve it to company, I'm thinking a pan of cornbread would be nice - also baked in an iron skillet.
Yum this looks great! A favorite side with chicken is homemade Cole slaw. I like chopped green cabbage (purple is great too but dyes everything it touches), green onions, a little olive oil mayo and splash of white or rice vinegar, salt, dill and pepper. I like Cole slaw vinegary so no sugar but a little dill pickle juice is good. The slaw is actually better on day 2!
Sweetie, you just got yourself a brand new subbie!! My mouth was watering for that food you prepared. I also love that you named your cast iron skillet. Loved the name too. If your narration was adorable enough, you ended with a “God Bless you”!! I’ll be watching. ❤
This looks delicious! My favorite way to cook chicken thighs is on a sheet pan with Rotisserie Chicken seasoning and bake. On a second sheet pan I do potatoes with onions and sometimes add veggies of my choice. It all goes in the oven and I am free to spend time with my guests.
I had to subscribe after this. I make a brown sugar garlic chicken thigh that is very similar to this. Definitely making this. I adore chicken thighs so I'm always on the hunt for recipes. God bless 🙏❤
Not only does your recipe look delicious, but like your technique for cleaning chicken with lemon. Also like how you chop onions. It looks much safer than some other methods!
I was JUST wishing for a new idea to use with chicken thighs - thank you! I really enjoyed your video, look forward to trying this yummy recipe and of course, subscribed today. Thanks for the time and love you put into making these videos.
My goodness what a good looking meal. Chicken thighs are my absolute favorite. One way I prepare them is to marinate them in pickle juice, yes, pickle juice. I favor Nathan’s Sweet/Horse radish pickles - they are in the chilled section, but any pickle brine will work. The brine makes a great marinade. Then the husband grills the thighs and they are excellent.
I like the fact that you use butter AND olive oil. I think that combination is so much better than either one alone.
❤
😂l iile that too😂
By doing this, the butter won't burn. 😂
I wish I could print this recipe ❤🎉.
Yes.
Made this for lunch and was amazed the kids loved it! Thank you for giving simple instruction to those of us who are not masters in the kitchen!

It's so nice to hear someone talk the way that I do, girl i'm from Texas and the biggest mistake I made in my life was to marry an Englishman two weeks after meeting each other 19yrs ago, i'm stuck in the English Countryside and it's food hell!
hahhaa!!! look sis you got to bring the flavor
I’m also a new subscriber and kudos to my husband for finding your channel! He loves chicken thighs but we don’t grill in the wintertime here in Wyoming and this recipe is now the menu. You nailed the entire meal! Thanks; looking forward to more!
This is one of my favorite dishes to make. I can smell your kitchen. Love it!❤
Love Chicken so much I capitalized it!! And I love your Voice. I could listen to you all day. Thank you.
I'm giving this a try! Looks so good. I'll let you know how it turns out.
This looks amazing! Im going to share this with my sons they love new chicken recipes to make for their families 😊
I couldn't find this recipe on your site, so I had to re-watch it, pausing many times to get all the directions. It seems very straightforward and intuitive, but you'd be surprised how many nuances one could forget when trying to duplicate it from memory. I am going to make this tonight. Wish me luck.
Hope you enjoy!
This looks like very delicious comfort food to me. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
This looks really good, I'm going to have to try it. Thankyou.
Great idea!!
I had to subscribe after this. I make a brown sugar garlic chicken thigh that is very similar to this. Definitely making this. I adore chicken thighs so I'm always on the hunt for recipes. God bless 🙏❤
Hello hun,,, I just found your channel.. Heck yes!!!!! Had me sayin,, “I like her” 3 or 4 times.. God Bless you and yours!🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That looks awesome and easy. Luv the cucumber salad add on. Can’t wait to make it.
