I'm sorry but there is no chance a kfc employee showed you this because no kfc employee has the breading recipe. KFC breading is sent in premixed to protect the recipe.
😂😂😂😂 KFC franchise ❤

It wasnt said they had the recipe~it was said they were shown a leg trick! Dont freak out about something that didnt happen and have a good day ok!
All she said was an employee showed her this trick, not that it was what they do at KFC
Jummie super recipe
If you're wondering about the ingredient labeled ''strength'', that's corn starch, a literal mistranslation of the German word ''Stärke''"
Thanks dearly, I was scratching my head😂😂
I worked at KFC and this has nothing to do with how we prepared the chicken. Staff also had to sign documents stating that they will never in their lifetime disclose any ingredients used, Colonel's secret recipe. Also, yes it was pressure cooked and the marinade and batter mix came pre-packaged with limited ingredients listed so that they could not be leaked to the public.
O wonder this one looks so scary 🤣🤣🤣
I managed a KFC for 4 years.
😉
What is 'strength'???
@@lornapayne2805 cornstarch
If you received pre packaged "batter mix", and did the double dip, this video has EVERYTHING to do with what it stated. It never claimed to be a clone. As for the "seven minutes in medium" oil... Yeah, there's that.😶
use buttermilk instead. This is a southern recipe. In a cast iron skillet they take about 35 min for nice sized legs.
In the South, we've been soaking our chicken in buttermilk before we cook it since Christ was a small child. Tenderizes it to perfection.
😂😂❤
Praise God
What is the strength ingredient part in the video?
In America not just the south.
Funny😂😂😂🎉

I worked at kfc and the chicken is pressure cooked, the batter was prepared before it came to the store, years ago noone at store knew how it was prepared
Cos the recipe is SO secret I guess!!
No one knows the nasty secrets. Once soon a time it was great before the colonial died and the business was sold and now it is garbage
Correct it is pressure cooked then spiced, the spices used were incorrect and no its not such a big secret. Read the history with KFC and this chap from Ireland. You can buy their pre made spices, which the the actual OG spices. The guys son I think still makes it. Its said a lot of the fried chicken in UK is using that spice and is the OG KFC which no one actually knows that that is what they are eating.
If I recall its Graces PErfect Blend
What does OG mean?
Where can I buy them. The spices?
I use buttermilk,5 cloves of garlic salt and pepper with a whole cut up chicken 🐓 let sit in a ziplock bag overnight, then put in flour and fry with crisco lard, the best crispy chicken ever

I'm guessing the strength is Corn Startch
Starke is the German word for Starch, so most likely is cornstarch. The translator gave her an incorrect translation.
You would be correct!!
- Thank you, I was like, What is that? Strength is also called cornstarch, now I know.
It cooked like potato starch.
That was my thought also!
What is strength?
corn starch

As a senior overcoming issues I no longer eat fried foods. So enjoy.
My 52 yo daughter recently gifted me an “air fryer”. Remarkably easy to use & produces “fried” foods without ALL the grease. Try it.
ВАУ!!! Столько жира, столько муки…
All was good until you added Ketchup. No No No
I'm with Shirleybaker-jones. It looked pretty good until the ketchup. There's got to be a better way to go. I like ketchup, just not on my fried chicken.
@@bartonblack7953 I agree with you and Shirley Baker about not adding ketchup.
@@najiyyahrahmaan8079. It is a matter of preference.
I don't know anyone who eats ketchup on fried chicken.
Hotsauce yes, ketchup nope.
This certainly isn’t a KFC thing. I ran a KFC about 35 years ago and the batter is made with 5Lbs flour, 5Lbs salt, 1Lb pepper, a branded bag of powdered milk that had no listed weight and water.
The 13 herbs and spices is just salt basically.
KFC claimed to have 11. WHERE did you find the other two ⁉️🤔
@@sseptember6301 they claimed 13 back in the 90’s. But it was only 2
@@sseptember6301 I actually read somewhere that a couple more were eventually added.
I was told by someone that worked at KFC 20+ years ago that it was not plain flour that we flour already had something in it before they added the salt and pepper. I think he actually even has a RUclips Channel now. I'll have to find it. I've been tweaking my own Popeye's batter recipe. Someone suggested I add a little powered milk or buttermilk powder to it.
There are 11 Herbs and Spices in Kentucky Fried Chicken folks.
All she did was waste them, that aint nothing but regular flour still smh
Advertisement is for dummies
Exactly she ain’t even season the chicken it’s just a bunch of milk flour and corn starch that’s why certain people should just not fry chicken it’s not for everybody
You mean was. Every thing out in the food business has become very nasty 🤢 🤮 no one cares anymore. They sell garbage for high prices.
Not even close to KFC doesn't even look right
I would have used buttermilk instead of milk..and why dry it after soaking?
You dry it so the batter stays on & the grease doesn't splatter everywhere.
@Sunny-jz3dy , if you don't dry it, then dip it in flour, then dip it in milk, then flour again you get a very thick crunchy coating.
Too thick!
@@sandracox4341 That too! lol
Может и вкусно, но вид ножек получился не презентабельный.
I'll probably try this recipe as I love KFC, but instead of milk, I'll use buttermilk. It will make the meat taste sweeter and more tender.
And I will not be using veg oil
Had better add some spices if you want it like KFC.
She isn't claiming this to be kfc.. a worker there showed her how to cook chicken with this recipe n she cooks this n doesn't go there to eat chicken there anymore
Please cook your chicken longer! Oh, you'll need more spices. All that flour and she barely used any. While it doesn't look like KFC, more like Church's 👌, it looks like something I'd like.
Я. Мариную ножки в том пасте, сливки, горчица,аджика, соевый соус, соль по вкусу, а запекаю в духовке на 100 гр часа 3, получаются сочные золотистые мягкие,ножки, очень вкусно
Так же делаю.
I think it is the starch, by look and indeed the starch gives strength when you fry
I wondered what strength was.
@@sticklerforchange😂😂😂 я тоже
Strength means: starch. Then it can be corn starch or potato starch.
Thank you cause I was asking the same! Lol
Thank you! Thats a lot of 'corn flour'

Milk gives the effect of baking soda - in Chinese cuisine small amount of baking soda is used to soften meet
I've been frying chicken like this for years. The only difference is I don't add seasoning until after it's been covered in the egg mixture. I put salt, pepper, paprika and one other spice normally used when baking something sweet. Then I coat it with the dry flour mixture. I also use a larger frying skillet. I call it double dipping you get real crispy chicken with a tasty coating. I refuse to give my secret spice away because everybody tastes it but they don't relate it to fried chicken. So they can't figure out what it is. But they love it. When I cook for the family they all want me to do my chicken thing.
@penny8579 That's stupid. Why refuse to share your recipe with others (I don't want it) because your gonna go into business? Because you don't want anyone making chicken as tasty as yours? Because you think it's a revolutionary idea😂 So dumb.
OH PLEASE!
You act like you have a patent on it! 😂
It's probably cinnamon ⁉️🤔
Allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon 😂
But does it taste like KFC?
Those nails hmmmmm, you sbould put on gloves

This is an old old method , older than KFC. Most Southern folks in the US know this method of milk dipping chicken & pork too. Tip: If you use only a small portion of the oil & fry on a very low setting, turning your chicken till it is done according to the meat thermometer. it’s tasty & much healthier too. Foods fried on a high temperature using vast amounts of oil are not good for our hearts. :@)
Looks like a terrible method. The batter didn't stick to the chicken.
@@jasonjones7205 ??????? looks like it's sticking to me
@@breaker86 Not after they cut it. And the texture doesn't look right at all.
Is there anything that can be done with the milk other than being discarded?
@ImTheREALCandyLane The only thing I can think of is you could maybe use the liquid to make a soup or a sauce. As long as you heat it up, you can use it for anything, though.
Yup looks good tq
Looks good. Can’t wait to try it.
Missed brown sugar and cornmeal that’s the real recipe plus those things that you added and oh yea a touch of lemon juice 😂
Ginger and a lot of other things too.... IF this were a clone recipe, rather than just a way to prepare crispy chicken... But it's not. The "trick" in the title is the method. If anything, the title implies that it's BETTER than KFC.

In the second recipe, the fried bread sticks?” that “milk” looked too thick when she poured it to be milk… maybe “buttermilk”… ? What KFC employee gave you that since the recipe is in German? And if it was a KFC employee then you are missing some of those 11 herbs and spices, which don't really include S&P they are usually freebies in a recipe. And oh btw we here in the south have been soaking our chicken in preferably butter milk but at least plain milk, usually longer than 30 minutes. So I will take this with the few grains of salt you allow in the coating but down here in the south we like for our flavors to go on into the meat, see if ya gonna spend that money to buy em, don't ya wanna taste em but thanks for the recipe, having lived up North for 6 years in the military I can affirm they need this recipe.

Apparently no one can say what strength is in the recipe!
starch, Cornstarch

Just because this person that you happen to know works at KFC does not mean this is how they prepare their chicken
Everything comes in pre-packaged so there's no mistakes you might get the chicken raw but the flower in the seasonings are pre-packaged

They also do not cook it on the stove top it's more like a pressure cooker with lots of oil

Deep South Cook.We used evaporated milk to marinate. Newest trick----- brine raw chicken with sea salted water and refrigerate it in brine that am. Drain and rinse chicken well about an hour or 2 before marinating in milk about one hr. Can use that milk to make gravy to go with the chicken since the ckn was brined well with cold salt water and rinsed well before marinated in milk. Fresh flavor is amped!!!
Can you use almond flour, or some other low carb flower, like soy flour as well?
Looks like a wonderful recipe, by the way, and you did a great job of presenting it!
The chicken when you cut it looked under cooked- and when you broke the dough looked raw and sticky

Milk marinade should be buttermilk with seasoning added. The flour should also have more seasonings. Outside of that, I like the idea for the batter and then flour. I'd try this with those adjustments.
I am sure it tasted good.
Too much preparation for this!!!, I still go to KFC 😂😂
