I worked at KFC and this has nothing to do with how we prepared the chicken. Staff also had to sign documents stating that they will never in their lifetime disclose any ingredients used, Colonel's secret recipe. Also, yes it was pressure cooked and the marinade and batter mix came pre-packaged with limited ingredients listed so that they could not be leaked to the public.

I've been frying chicken like this for years. The only difference is I don't add seasoning until after it's been covered in the egg mixture. I put salt, pepper, paprika and one other spice normally used when baking something sweet. Then I coat it with the dry flour mixture. I also use a larger frying skillet. I call it double dipping you get real crispy chicken with a tasty coating. I refuse to give my secret spice away because everybody tastes it but they don't relate it to fried chicken. So they can't figure out what it is. But they love it. When I cook for the family they all want me to do my chicken thing.

This is an old old method , older than KFC. Most Southern folks in the US know this method of milk dipping chicken & pork too. Tip: If you use only a small portion of the oil & fry on a very low setting, turning your chicken till it is done according to the meat thermometer. it’s tasty & much healthier too. Foods fried on a high temperature using vast amounts of oil are not good for our hearts. :@)

In the second recipe, the fried bread sticks?” that “milk” looked too thick when she poured it to be milk… maybe “buttermilk”… ? Plus that chicken needed to be cooked a little longer.. it still had some faint pink color near the bone ….. a serious no in my book, a little longer but it looked amazing. Those bread sticks .. wow.. going to have to try them.

What KFC employee gave you that since the recipe is in German? And if it was a KFC employee then you are missing some of those 11 herbs and spices, which don't really include S&P they are usually freebies in a recipe. And oh btw we here in the south have been soaking our chicken in preferably butter milk but at least plain milk, usually longer than 30 minutes. So I will take this with the few grains of salt you allow in the coating but down here in the south we like for our flavors to go on into the meat, see if ya gonna spend that money to buy em, don't ya wanna taste em but thanks for the recipe, having lived up North for 6 years in the military I can affirm they need this recipe.

Everything comes in pre-packaged so there's no mistakes you might get the chicken raw but the flower in the seasonings are pre-packaged

Deep South Cook.We used evaporated milk to marinate. Newest trick----- brine raw chicken with sea salted water and refrigerate it in brine that am. Drain and rinse chicken well about an hour or 2 before marinating in milk about one hr. Can use that milk to make gravy to go with the chicken since the ckn was brined well with cold salt water and rinsed well before marinated in milk. Fresh flavor is amped!!!
