You’re welcome. Do consider subscribing to the channel :)
Thank you so much. This seems pretty simple to understand. I don't know why Google thought it would be a good idea to separate exif data from the image.

Thanks bro
If I had 2-3 folder year wise
What should be the process
Is all would be corrected just by doing once or I have to do all?
Never using google again
which alternative
You are my hero! Thank you soooo much for this!
Any suggestions on a workflow to download a dozen years of Google Photos (over 50GB) and retiring the files in a usable format? I want to retain all of the metadata too (original dates etc).
Any solution you found?
@@UmaMaheswar-te1cyno not yet. It was so frustrating I moved on to other things! But I'd certainly like to find something!
Anything you got ??
@@user-ff3je1ew3c no ....how about you? I ended up buying 2 TB (Google One) upgrade for $105.99/yr and postponed the problem
I need to restore the metadata about the location of the photos (place), how can I do this? Thanks
Will this work for Videos as well?
will this also add location data?
So we have to go through this process for every single google takeout folder???!!
Bro Can You help me by team viewer
7:53 stuck plz explain is it copy paste again or enter ???
stuck at 10:00, i get this info
'exiftool' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file. what did i do wrong?

And open if it shows some code in command file than it's working and then do all of this again
Or erase the (exe) from the software when rename write only name
Same any solution u got ?

Desktop\Pictures' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Please help me with team viewer
is this for one picture only or does it fixed everything in the Google Photos folder ?
It updates the metadata for every photo within the Google Photos folder.
@@lastminutetech okie tq!
@@lastminutetech if i hve fix this, do i still need to move the pictures with the json folders too ? If I only take the pictures file without the separate json files, will it disturb the metadata again?
@@allysashafri You can just move the image files. The metadata remains good.
Just to add, it only looks to do one folder at a time.
Added a foreach loop which does each folder separately. Then you can keep the album structure from Google Takeout.
Basically does the step 4 in the video but auto inputs the Directory Name
Open PowerShell
CD to Takeout root folder
$Folders = Get-ChildItem -Directory | Select Name
foreach ($Folder in $Folders.Name)
{
exiftool -r -d %s -tagsfromfile "%d/%F.json" "-FileCreateDate
too difficult
There has to be simpler way than doing all commands, merging 2 things shouldn't be so hard
I did my research and didn’t find any so far.
great guide bro.
the last command is enough actually to redate everything.
do u have a fix for photos with duplicate names ie IMG123(1).jpg IMG123(2).jpg?
it seems im running into error for those type of files
Context
I have files like this "IMG123(1).jpg" and its corresponding json file "IMG123.JPG(1).json"
this is how google takeout named the files as by default
i renamed the json file to match the img file to be "IMG123(1).JPG.json"
but it still wont work
i also tried renaming the files into "IMG123.JPG" and "IMG123.JPG.json" and still it wouldnt work.
@@arcGunterz Were you able to solve it? I have the same problem here :(
hey just a small suggestion if images name doesn't matter just use a python code to name all jpg files numerically or alpha numerically - like A123,A124 etc
