Your documentary is the best one I've ever seen. I love how you all tell the truth about the Amish, yet speak of them with love. That is very impressive and refreshing. Your mother going through the nightmares and even the fears she had after she was married shows just how real witchcraft is. I'm glad she realized what it was from and that she was able to pray it away. Thank you for sharing your insights with us. God bless you and your family as you continue sharing Jesus with the world!

As a Serbian Orthodox Christian, I knew almost nothing about this religious group and their culture. With the help of this excellent and serious six-part documentary, I learned a lot about the culture, history, religious practice and roots of this people. Every part of a serious approach in the era of superficial and often unspoken documentaries. Greetings from Serbia and may God's blessing come to you.

It’s heartbreaking that the Amish people are being kept in the dark about the truth of the Scriptures especially when they think they are doing the right thing. I applaud you for your sensitivity in how this beautiful series is presented. It’s wonderful to know that many are finding the Truth in Jesus Christ alone. Praying for all unsaved to come to the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and looking forward to the day when all who belong to Him will be together in His Kingdom.

Well executed documentary series. I’ve watched all episodes so far and enjoyed all of them. My experience growing up in the Amish culture was probably a little different in certain aspects (due to growing up in the most conservative sect) but there were plenty of instances that caused me to remember my own experiences, some of which were painful & life altering, while others reminded me of the idyllic early childhood I had. It was heartwarming to see the love and concern the Graber family demonstrated for each other, even while living in spiritual darkness, something that was missing in my family and still is. I also appreciate the respect shown to the culture. The docu-series demonstrated nothing but love and concern for those in, and from the culture. Thank you for the hard work you put into this.

Thanks for these fascinating documentaries. I noticed that former Amish still have some good things to say about the way of life they experienced as children. The work ethic, the healthy lifestyle, caring for animals, growing their own food, the sense of family values and a community that helps others in hard times. I wonder if anyone has yet pointed out to you the research saying that children who grow up with more than one language have many advantages . The brain is stimulated by this and this shows in other areas not just in the languages. So having more than one language can be an advantage intellectually and the work ethic is also an advantage in the world of work. I bet you all do exceptionally well!

Yes they show love as they know it. Love is Christ so the non believer doesn't know how to show real love. I must say to all that read this, they don't care about their horses. Horses are not made to go at a full trot for so many miles and especially not on highways without cushioned, non skid shoes. These animals suffer great pain.

But the ungodly practices by the same people stunned me..My wish is..The Amish should follow Bilble completely and should live as a community...It is that simple. Because the way they live adds lot of value to Christian way of living. The world outside is made to change a Christian in many ways...I hope God wil unite the right minded Amish people to start a community and prosper...

I have been intrigued with these stories because though never Amish I was introduced to Christianity in a small independent church that evolved into a community with many close similarities. We experienced the farm life, the rigid rules and closed spiritual environment that became stifling. After two years and being married into that group, our escape into the outside world had many of the same struggles, fears and slowly growing confidence in the grace of Jesus to keep us His without the acceptance and approval of the control of the leaders. God bless you for the wonderful way you have of presenting both the good and the bad because s hard s things were there was also much beautiful and good.

"Sell isch gfährlich" well that´s an actual German dialect spoken today! It´s a bit like a mix between Schwitzerdütsch, Swabian, Bayrisch. Sorry for the language mix on my part now. 😃
By the way I simply LOOOOOVE Rebecca. If I may say so, she looks like the IDEAL grandmother. Reminds me a lot of my own. Some day in heaven I want to run to her and give her a big hug! 💕

Thank you for this series. The Amish have been a mystery of sorts to me. I did have a nice visit either an Amish family on a train from Chicago to third home in Illinois. I was a bit uncomfortable but asked if they would be offended by my questions. They were gracious and I learned a lot from their perspective. Your series ha provided me with a wealth of history of the Amish. Kudos to your, your family and friend and everyone who made the series possible. God Bless and may the new year bring y’all good health, happiness and love.

This is a beautiful series! I have enjoyed all of the episodes. I was somewhat surprised by the witchcraft, BUT...other denominations have occultic roots(such as Joseph Smith and the Mormon belief in the "seer stone in the hat." That is a form of divination, which is strictly forbidden in the Bible. I love so many things about the Amish and their culture. It's so sad that they can't have the Bible in English so that they could read the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What a wonderful series. I really want to thank you for creating this. All the time and effort and thought it took, and all the ex-Amish who participated. Such strength and fortitude. I'm so happy that you've all found liberation and salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. Makes me want to cry. God is so good, and He is always looking for those who need to be rescued from their current deception. But we have to want to be saved. We need to be eagerly seeking the truth.

I have had a life with my grandmother what I can compare to the amish family; not the religion but that family feeling/sharing. Thank you for sharing to give us a glimpse of the Amish people💖 Love and greets from Amsterdam

My husband and I have many Amish friends. We would spend the winters in Pinecraft at Sarasota, FL. My husband became a good friend to an elderly Amish man and would visit with him for hours. Sometimes he would take his Bible with him and share Scripture that assures us we CAN KNOW we are going to Heaven! We would have them at our home for meals and they did the same for us. He has since passed and hopefully he accepted Christ before he died. Pinecraft is a vacation paradise for the Amish and many tend to break tradition and enjoy the English way of life. Thank you for these very interesting facts of Amish life. Thank the Lord their eyes are opening to Truth

Although I feel their intentions are good, their loyalty lies with the beliefs of the Amish instead of with God Himself. I’m so happy to see your family follow God’s word today. How brave your was your father? He will receive so many blessing from the Lord. ❤️

I have heard so many former Catholics say the same thing about growing up Catholic. There's no rule that you can't talk about God, or don't talk about God, but it's not always looked well upon. Or reading the Bible on your own. Ironically, the Anabaptists tried to depart from the RC church, and yet, they ended up doing so many of the same things!

@@lilafeldman8630 very true. Seems in most if not all religions, reading, especially studying their Holy text is not encouraged. In small spoken ways, it's even discouraged without realizing that's what they are saying. I grew up Independant Fundamental Baptist, it is a cult, very similair to Amish religion. Notice that both RC and Amish religions date way back and their text is hidden in plain sight? A lauguage they don't learn. No wonder Independant Fundamental Baptist leaders claim the "KJV is the only real word of God, all modern bibles are perversions of devil's." Though not terribly difficult to read, but you do have to study it to understand it, even then you find not much makes any sense.
Studying the Bible is discouraged because it can cause you to lose your faith if you take searching for THE truth very important. That is how many atheists are made. Seriously, not kidding. The Bible was instrumental in my deconversion 10 years ago.

The largest old order Amish community is 50 miles southwest of Buffalo NY in the Conewango valley mostly in the town of Leon. I grew up not far from there. My father bought pony harness bridle & reins from the Amish. When my father retired he began breeding & raising Halflinger horses. He bought all his halters & harnesses from the Amish. Additionally because Halflingers are mainly driving horses he took some of them to the Amish to be trained for buggies & carriages (particularly the ones he intended to keep). They also had several pieces of furniture made by the Amish. These Amish do not allow themselves to be photographed. Very friendly kind people

Much of what they did was about tradition and nothing about the teachings of Jesus. Leavng was hard, but following Jesus is so much more important. According to the Oxford English dictionary, the actual standard of words in English, the word fascinate means "draw irresistibly the attention and interest of (someone)." Your opinions about a topic don't make the words you don't use correctly fact. Pause 10 seconds before you leap into nonsense.
