Gentle Exercises for Back Pain Relief // Floor Stretches for a Sore Back

- Find instant relief from your back pain with these yoga and pilates inspired exercises. You will feel so much better after performing these stretches on the mat. Make sure to go nice and slow and really breath deep allowing the muscles to relax in order to get the full benefits from these gentile movements.
You will get the best results are done frequently, at least a few times a week. If you are not comfortable doing all of the movements, just do what you can. For example, there is one exercise on our hands and knees. If that is uncomfortable for you, then just skip that one.

After a busy summer of home projects, I needed to see my chiropractor. Your workouts have helped me so much and my chiropractor noticed as I was easily adjusted. He said keep doing what you’re doing. I’m following up with this workout and others of yours. These stretching exercises work best for me as they also work the abs :). Please keep them coming!

This workout saved my back this winter! I pulled something (a muscle?) in the hip area on one side while away from home, i.e. no access to my trusted physical therapists. I resorted to epsom salt bath, OTC creams and OTC pain meds without much relief. After following someone else's back pain w/o (someone I trust) and still no relief, I discovered that you had this workout. Thank goodness!!! It became my morning go-to and finally, after a week or so, I was able to start hiking again. I continued this workout and now, if I feel any twinge I go back to doing it until there are results. The only exercise I would not recommend when experiencing back pain in the reverse crunch. All the others seem perfect. Thanks a million Lauren!

Well that was a surprise and perfect timing Ms. Lauren. Been moving wet sod for two days and digging dirt so my back so loved this TLC. HA HA so at 4:43 I say pretty loud back at the video "You Do You" and my husband passing outside the closed door is like "Who you be talking to?"

I can’t start my day without this stretch I wake up with a stiff lower back and neck. And I’ve also started doing your weekly workouts they have really helped with balance and coordination. I’m 54 yrs old and never exercised before thank you so much and keep them videos coming

Pinched my back or maybe slipped a disk, been hurting and limiting my movement for 2 weeks. Got to try this gently. It sucks having back and hip pain. Gotta get stronger.

Thanks for all your stretch videos- they are simple, safe and easy to follow without having to pause to move into the right position fast enough! I have injured my back and these videos are great for myself and I can do them with my little kid (who is trying to be more stretchy so she can do the splits). I know your content is for seniors, but I think people who have been injured and trying to get back into exercise could really benefit from this channel, as well as smaller kids learning to exercise (who don't want a kiddies channel) without risk of injuring themselves, no temper tantrums here :)

My biokinethetist is helping me with an exercise program for my serious back problems currently. He approves of all your exercises,but warned about lifting both feet off the floor in this routine. So, just check with physio or biokinethetist before doing that.....Probably ok for ordinary mechanical back ache, but any more serious conditions, be careful. 🤗

Thank you for these. Can you do a video for upper back pain as well? I currently have pain on/around my left shoulder blade. I have found videos that show exercises and stretches for upper back/shoulder blade/rhomboid area pain, and some of the stretches have been helpful, but the videos include a lot of explanation and don't show the stretches and exercises with all appropriate repetitions in real time.

🏆 🖥 🙆🏼 I found your short video to be perfect for reducing the lower back pain which has recently made mobility challenging for me. I especially like the professional-quality appearance-- and low-volume, calming background music-- throughout the exercises.
