I agree with you there, because I'm 41 and currently in a wheelchair while recovering from surgery. I never thought that I could go back to doing yoga for a while, but then someone recommended chair yoga to me, and I see that I'm still able to maintain a good amount of physical activity as well as get in a good mental space, so thank you and keep doing this
This Is exactly what I was looking for. A chair yoga that covers the entire body in a relaxing but good stretch kind of way. Many other sites rely too heavy on arms. these movements are basically the floor exercises my Dr recommened for lower back and hip pain. I cant get down on the floor good so these are perfect. So happy I found this and have shared it. Thank YOU

I only taught yoga for 2 years...before having severe injuries in my knees. It's chair yoga for me now. Dr. told me the yoga I did for all those years was hard on my joints...too much pressure. Who knew. Blessings.

Thank you! I found this video and gave it a try. I'm 73 and have osteoporosis along with a fracture of T12 from 2021. I love how doing in the first thing in the morning for me starts my day with an energized and feeling"stretched", which at best is sometimes difficult. I will be doing this daily, along with my walking. The gentleness of this and doing at my own capabilities has really helped me.

At 67 I've finally found a guide I can follow for some help to maintain and improve movement, flexibility and strength! My business is physically demanding, working with horses and other animals, and I have good strength and flexibility in some areas, but knew I needed to improve in others. After Covid isolation in a small apartment and then a 6 month recovery after rotator cuff surgery I have gained a great deal of weight and become very sedentary. I finally decided to do something about it after realizing that I was so tight and inflexible that I even was difficult putting my socks on!! I just started watching your video today and it’s just what I need! My new mantra- not perfection but progress! Thank you!

I’m 72 years young. Do my treadmill almost everyday but I was getting bored and too stiff so I decided to try yoga. I’m just loving it and love you. Your voice is beautiful. Every other day I do the treadmill & yoga. Treadmill 1/2 hr but yoga 1 hour. I feel less imbalanced walking and reach further. Thank you Lauren.

I'm 80 and had a pacemaker implanted 40 days ago. Now I'm cleared to start exercising by my doctor, and I feel like this video is the perfect place to start now that I may lift my arms over my head. Afterwards I felt great, and so relaxed and calm. I think your yoga is the exact place for me to begin exercising as I have gotten quite stiff. Thank you for such a pleasant workout.

I'm only in my 30s but years of chronic pain and illness has made it really difficult to maintain any sort of regular exercise habit. Even after I had surgery 4 years ago and resolved the source of my pain, I've still found it challenging. In June I realised it was easier to motivate myself with chair yoga! And I'm proud to say that with your workouts (and this one in particular) I've managed to get some yoga in 3-4 times a week for the past few months!! I feel so much better!! I just started your chair yoga a few days ago and I can already tell it’s making a difference. I really love this workout in particular. I’m 74 and limber in some places, not so much in others… struggle to keep my shoulders relaxed. It seems that all my tension resides in my neck and shoulders! I’ll keep working at it! Thank you!

I'm only 45, but was recently diagnosed with a stress fracture in my hip. Out of desperation to continue my fitness journey, I tried one of your videos last weekend. One turned to three, and now, a week later, I have completed 10 of your chair workouts. I love them! Thank you for the time and effort you put in to making each one a thorough full body workout. This is the best chair yoga video I've come across. I'm trying to do it every day. It's really helpful. And it's also helping relieve the sciatica pain I've had in my left leg. I am 78 years old.
Thanks for your video; it's a nice option to add to 3 other videos of Chair Yoga I do also with You Tube. All these chair yoga videos help to keep my joints and muscles flexible for playing tennis 2-3 times a week for over 50 years. Chair Yoga and tennis are keeping me in good shape as a 76 year old woman.

okay, got it! Always finish with stretching. Cardio or strength first is a matter of opinion. Personally, I prefer cardio first, then strength because that way the muscles are nice and warm for lifting weights :)

We are a group of seniors in their 70s, 80s and 90s and are enjoying your chair yoga sessions with great success. The way you gently guide us through the exercises is very encouraging. We started with Chair yoga stretch for beginners, seniors & everyone, then Chair yoga stretch and strength seated exercises and Energizing chair yoga for seniors & beginners. We have now added Chair Pilates for seniors & beginners.to our 'repertoire'. We get together 2x a week alternating between these 4 sessions. We are making tremendous progress - as one woman said: I hadn't been able to touch my toes for years, and now I can! So a huge thank-you to you, Lauren, from us here in New Zealand.

this amazed me ! first time doing a chair exercise. I tend to shun seated on the floor and mat because I cant sit comfortably on the floor ! this worked so well despite me needing a footstool as well ( I'm 5 ft tall!) I managed okay and feel very stretched and relaxed ready for the family arriving tomorrow , thanks !

At last! I've been searching for something following knee replacement surgery as I can not do full yoga again at this point. I miss it so much and now I've found you and this is wonderful to stretch and breathe fully once again as much as possible. I'm 73 years old and look forward to continuing to get more flexible, stronger and hopefully one day return to yoga. Unfortunately I need my other knee replaced as well so it will be some time before I can do that! Thank you!!!

I'm 80 and had a pacemaker implanted 40 days ago. Now I'm cleared to start exercising by my doctor, and I feel like this video is the perfect place to start now that I may lift my arms over my head. Afterwards I felt great, and so relaxed and calm. I think your yoga is the exact place for me to begin exercising as I have gotten quite stiff. Thank you for such a pleasant workout.

I'm only in my 30s but years of chronic pain and illness has made it really difficult to maintain any sort of regular exercise habit. Even after I had surgery 4 years ago and resolved the source of my pain, I've still found it challenging. In June I realised it was easier to motivate myself with chair yoga! And I'm proud to say that with your workouts (and this one in particular) I've managed to get some yoga in 3-4 times a week for the past few months!! I feel so much better!! Now whenever I start feeling a bit stiff and sore, I just think, time for my favourite chair yoga video!! Thank you so much Lauren ❤

I just started your chair yoga a few days ago and I can already tell it’s making a difference. I really love this workout in particular. I’m 74 and limber in some places, not so much in others… struggle to keep my shoulders relaxed. It seems that all my tension resides in my neck and shoulders! I’ll keep working at it! Thank you!

I'm only 45, but was recently diagnosed with a stress fracture in my hip. Out of desperation to continue my fitness journey, I tried one of your videos last weekend. One turned to three, and now, a week later, I have completed 10 of your chair workouts. I love them! Thank you for the time and effort you put in to making each one a thorough full body workout. When my hip is healed I have a feeling I'll keep doing them. ❤

This is the best chair yoga video I've come across. I'm trying to do it every day. It's really helpful. And it's also helping relieve the sciatica pain I've had in my left leg. I am 78 years old.

I am a right below knee and left toes amputee so have no balance to do most regular yoga or most regular exercises. I am very pleased with your chair yoga. okay, got it! Always finish with stretching. Cardio or strength first is a matter of opinion. Personally, I prefer cardio first, then strength because that way the muscles are nice and warm for lifting weights :)

We are a group of seniors in their 70s, 80s and 90s and are enjoying your chair yoga sessions with great success. The way you gently guide us through the exercises is very encouraging. We started with Chair yoga stretch for beginners, seniors & everyone, then Chair yoga stretch and strength seated exercises and Energizing chair yoga for seniors & beginners. We have now added Chair Pilates for seniors & beginners.to our 'repertoire'. We get together 2x a week alternating between these 4 sessions. We are making tremendous progress - as one woman said: I hadn't been able to touch my toes for years, and now I can! So a huge thank-you to you, Lauren, from us here in New Zealand.

this amazed me ! first time doing a chair exercise. I tend to shun seated on the floor and mat because I cant sit comfortably on the floor ! this worked so well despite me needing a footstool as well ( I'm 5 ft tall!) I managed okay and feel very stretched and relaxed ready for the family arriving tomorrow , thanks !

At last! I've been searching for something following knee replacement surgery as I can not do full yoga again at this point. I miss it so much and now I've found you and this is wonderful to stretch and breathe fully once again as much as possible. I'm 73 years old and look forward to continuing to get more flexible, stronger and hopefully one day return to yoga. Unfortunately I need my other knee replaced as well so it will be some time before I can do that! Thank you!!!

Been having medical challenges this past year and your gentle routine has helped so much. I'm through the worst of it now, I hope. Will continue exercising with you.
