I'm not a senior, but a 43 year old who gained a lot of weight with my last child, and then the 2020 brought on some heavy depression, so I gained some more. I used to be very active, was very fit, worked a very laborious job, and was healthy weight. It's been so hard finding my old self again. I even started to experience some agoraphobia because of the shame I've felt about my body. Recently, my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer, which was brought on by poor lifestyle. That was my wake-up call! I found this video and have been able to manage it quite well, even with my bad knees. I've even lost 8 lbs in under 2 weeks and have better mobility already! I really loved this workout Lauren. Been doing your seated strength and stretch for a few weeks after fracturing my fibula but I'm able to stand and do low impact now so this new walking workout is absolutely perfect. I'm a former dancer and now breast cancer survivor. I started doing your workouts this summer (June 2023). I do two of them (this one and the chair Pilates for seniors and beginners) 2 or 3 times a week. I've noticed my strength increase, I'm not as out of breath when walking or going up and down steps. Overall, I just feel good and more in control of my body! It's taken me years to find a workout that I can do without hurting afterward. Lauren! I love your workouts! I am 50, so not a senior yet, but I really am having fun doing your routines and they are not to easy for me at all! Yet they are easy on joints which is wonderful. I never have joint pain after them, yet my heart rate is nicely high. Thank you for such well planned balanced routines! They are wonderful.

I've just been doing your recent kettlebell video every day and I'm starting to see results! It's one that I'm super comfortable doing over and over to develop a routine, and it's worked so well, I've been motivated to work out on days I thought I'd be taking off. I even went on a long hike today and made it to the top of the mountain! Yesterday I found it was easier to stand up, thanks to those deadlifts, and my immediate thought was "this ass has sass!!" Thanks for another great workout Lauren! I have found that my body is much more forgiving when I start my day with one/two/three of your workouts. It is helpful when you have a suggested additional workout to do at the end of your videos. I am a 60 year old somewhat active woman fighting the belly bulge of post menopause metabolism slow down. I used an 8 lb dumbbell for this workout.

Hey Lauren just some hopefully helpful info is that many women 60+ have hip pain and all the side to side stepping is painful so I modified the exercises. Otherwise I agree with the other comments that I enjoy your workouts.
I'm sorry that's painful for you, but I'm glad you are able to modify. I will continue to perform moves to the side because it's important to work the body in all planes of motion. Often the hip area has problems/pain because of imbalances.

Hey Lauren just some hopefully helpful info is that many women 60+ have hip pain and all the side to side stepping is painful so I modified the exercises. Otherwise I agree with the other comments that I enjoy your workouts.
I'm sorry that's painful for you, but I'm glad you are able to modify. I will continue to perform moves to the side because it's important to work the body in all planes of motion. Often the hip area has problems/pain because of imbalances.
