Just discovered this terrific chair version of Pilates. I used to teach Pilates and am now much older and creakier--but I discovered that can do your chair version (whew!). Now I have hope for getting some of those Pilates muscles and tone back. THANK YOU! Mary Lee, that's SO great that you taught Pilates and now can do the chair version!! I worked in Physical Therapy and have less-good knees with all the concrete floor walking/standing/leaning etc. I've done but I've certainly enjoyed Lauren's Pilates even though I have to do chair version. I WISH we had known about some of these moves back in the 80's, 90's for our patients!! I still do some Massage Therapy and am turning my fiends to these videos to encourage them to stay in shape and/or stay loose and flexible. And YUP, I'm older and creakier now too. hahahahaha! But in some ways, in better condition as well. 🙂
I used to exercise faithfully until I got very ill a couple of years ago. After a very long time away from all exercises this is a very comfortable segue back into a daily routine! Your voice is very soothing also which makes it easy and relaxing. Thank you for your expertise!
I am not a senior, but am in my 40s with various mobility issues, awaiting surgery. Its very rare I find exercises I enjoy and feel I can do (usually giving up midway through in frustration) - but I love this workout, really feel I can manage, and your calm and gentle demenour makes it feel much less of a chore than other videos! Thank you for your channel! I have been doing your Gentle Morning Stretch for 6 weeks. When I started to exclaim, “I can feel the muscles around my knees!” my husband began to join me. I have recently started a small class of senior women here in Jerusalem and we’re all enjoying. Nice music too.
For someone who is not a senior but works nights in an office environment I would say this is one of the best chair workouts I have ever done. I do love Pilates and have not done it for a while.
I have severe arthritis in both knees so exercising is a huge challenge. But with this Pilates routine I feel like all my muscles are moving and that I’m actually accomplishing some exercise!! Your instructions are very clear also…, thank you!!!!

I am a healthy sixty-nine year old woman looking for low impact exercises. I, highly recommend all of these videos. I make the pilates, chair yoga, and the arm weight routines part of my daily workout. I have always done yoga, weights, and treadmill. These routines are not only great for strengthening but the instructor is warm and very relatable.
You helped me with a move that I struggle with by simply dropping my lower ribs & not letting them flare out while lifting legs up and down. This was big for more today!

Throughout my life I have exercised. I have run, walked and jogged, done yoga, Pilates and Taichi. Since I'm aged, I have worked out by using Utube as a source for my workouts even with my hula hoop of more than fifty years. Although, I walk with Leslie Lansome weekly I have searched for methods of muscle training. Today I found it with you. It felt so great stretching my muscles like in yonder times. I 'm thankful to have found you after surfing Utube your preview attracted my attention which is why I'm saluting you. It was not the least disappointing. So happy to work with your calming voice to prompt harder attempts. When it was over, I felt energetic like younger days. Thank you.

Thank you. It worked each time I did this before my long walks. All my muscles seemed well prepped and relaxed. I felt so much ease. No stiffness and heaviness. I am 30 years old with limited capabilites to a bad heatstroke injury and I have recently been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos. I used to be very proficient with my workouts before. Now I thought I wouldn't be able to find an exercise that i could do without aggravating my injuries and conditions. My wife suggested looking into chair yoga and this is the first video I found. Love the Pilates!! Finding that my core strength is improving and flexibility is improving as well. I was diagnosed with PD 2 years ago and was a marathon runner after age 65. Wow! I just discovered this video today and did it; it's fantastic for strengthening and tightening abs, glutes, and thighs. I'm a very fit 73 year old woman who's always told I look 2 decades younger. I'll do this video often each week and interchange with online chair yoga classes which I do to relieve joint pain and to prep for playing tennis twice a week. Thanks, I love this class.

I am so glad I found your videos today. I am almost 80 and was diagnosed with permanent AFib 18 months ago. I was quite active before the AFib, exercising has since been difficult and stairs and inclines are a problem for me. However, I managed to follow your exercises this evening without too much difficulty, I’m sure I will be able to execute them a lot better with practice and will certainly make this a daily routine in the hope of getting some fitness back. Enjoy your workouts so much. Lots of variety and can be done at home consistently. I am 69 years old and have 3 joint replacements due to osteo-arthritis. The most recent was 8 wks ago. Your workouts helped before surgery and after, so that I completed PT in 5 wks. Keep them coming!!

Throughout my life I have exercised. I have run, walked and jogged, done yoga, Pilates and Taichi. Since I'm aged, I have worked out by using Utube as a source for my workouts even with my hula hoop of more than fifty years. Although, I walk with Leslie Lansome weekly I have searched for methods of muscle training. Today I found it with you. It felt so great stretching my muscles like in yonder times. I 'm thankful to have found you after surfing Utube your preview attracted my attention which is why I'm saluting you. It was not the least disappointing. So happy to work with your calming voice to prompt harder attempts. When it was over, I felt energetic like younger days. Thank you.

I am 30 years old with limited capabilites to a bad heatstroke injury and I have recently been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos. I used to be very proficient with my workouts before. Now I thought I wouldn't be able to find an exercise that i could do without aggravating my injuries and conditions.

Love the Pilates!! Finding that my core strength is improving and flexibility is improving as well. I was diagnosed with PD 2 years ago and was a marathon runner after age 65. Wow! I just discovered this video today and did it; it's fantastic for strengthening and tightening abs, glutes, and thighs. I'm a very fit 73 year old woman who's always told I look 2 decades younger. I'll do this video often each week and interchange with online chair yoga classes which I do to relieve joint pain and to prep for playing tennis twice a week. Thanks, I love this class.

I am so glad I found your videos today. I am almost 80 and was diagnosed with permanent AFib 18 months ago. I was quite active before the AFib, exercising has since been difficult and stairs and inclines are a problem for me. However, I managed to follow your exercises this evening without too much difficulty, I’m sure I will be able to execute them a lot better with practice and will certainly make this a daily routine in the hope of getting some fitness back. Just got finished with this work out. I’m 72 and have neck, back and hip pain. I was able to do everything without much issue. I have been searching for something I could do at home. This is perfect.
