    Simply brilliant exercise routine! I just loved it! I have lower back issues and cannot do regular Pilates anymore, this was very refreshing! Needed this to strengthen and lengthen as well as stretching my tight muscles. Lauren you are amazing and a bright light to all of us who need someone who understands and teaches modified moves! My body feels better already! Thank you so much! You definitely are making a difference here! 💖🌸💖🌸

      My mom is now 100 and still does her Chair Pilates everyday and is able to walk around the block everyday. I give many that’s to this class.

    I have bone on bone joints, 75 years old.. Was always very active and strong. Now with sciatica and arthritis, i am in pain of some kind all the time.. Your chair sessions makes exercise possible for me. I always feel better after doing this gentle program. Thank you so much for your videos

    62 years old and this was challenging but I can see where it is doable! I have done yoga but want to try Pilates. I need to strenghten muscles and core. You have a pleasant encouraging manner and I love how you explain the movements and how they benefit us. Thank you!

    Just discovered this terrific chair version of Pilates. I used to teach Pilates and am now much older and creakier--but I discovered that can do your chair version (whew!). Now I have hope for getting some of those Pilates muscles and tone back. THANK YOU! You have such a thorough understanding of body mechanics and joint issues for seniors, and these safe routines for older people and beginners can reverse some of the physical impacts of aging. What a difference. I'm telling my friends about Senior Shape.

      Mary Lee, that's SO great that you taught Pilates and now can do the chair version!! I worked in Physical Therapy and have less-good knees with all the concrete floor walking/standing/leaning etc. I've done but I've certainly enjoyed Lauren's Pilates even though I have to do chair version. I WISH we had known about some of these moves back in the 80's, 90's for our patients!! I still do some Massage Therapy and am turning my fiends to these videos to encourage them to stay in shape and/or stay loose and flexible. And YUP, I'm older and creakier now too. hahahahaha! But in some ways, in better condition as well. 🙂

    I used to exercise faithfully until I got very ill a couple of years ago. After a very long time away from all exercises this is a very comfortable segue back into a daily routine! Your voice is very soothing also which makes it easy and relaxing. Thank you for your expertise!

    I am not a senior, but am in my 40s with various mobility issues, awaiting surgery. Its very rare I find exercises I enjoy and feel I can do (usually giving up midway through in frustration) - but I love this workout, really feel I can manage, and your calm and gentle demenour makes it feel much less of a chore than other videos!     I Love all of your workouts Lauren. If I hadn't injured my Achilles, I don't believe I would have been doing the chair exercises. I've been doing all of your chair workouts & I am not disappointed. I really enjoy them all. Thank you Lauren for being so patient with seniors that look for people like you to workout with.     I love your (almost) 30 minute Pilates chair workouts. Due to knee pain I had to give up traditional yoga.     Thank you for your channel! I have been doing your Gentle Morning Stretch for 6 weeks. When I started to exclaim, “I can feel the muscles around my knees!” my husband began to join me. I have recently started a small class of senior women here in Jerusalem and we’re all enjoying. Nice music too.

    For someone who is not a senior but works nights in an office environment I would say this is one of the best chair workouts I have ever done. I do love Pilates and have not done it for a while.

    I have severe arthritis in both knees so exercising is a huge challenge. But with this Pilates routine I feel like all my muscles are moving and that I’m actually accomplishing some exercise!! Your instructions are very clear also…, thank you!!!!

    Thank you so much! I'm so glad I found your video. I love to paint and spend hours doing that every day and often without a break....just sitting, and I know that's bad for me.     I am a healthy sixty-nine year old woman looking for low impact exercises. I, highly recommend all of these videos. I make the pilates, chair yoga, and the arm weight routines part of my daily workout. I have always done yoga, weights, and treadmill. These routines are not only great for strengthening but the instructor is warm and very relatable.

    Throughout my life I have exercised. I have run, walked and jogged, done yoga, Pilates and Taichi. Since I'm aged, I have worked out by using Utube as a source for my workouts even with my hula hoop of more than fifty years. Although, I walk with Leslie Lansome weekly I have searched for methods of muscle training. Today I found it with you. It felt so great stretching my muscles like in yonder times. I 'm thankful to have found you after surfing Utube your preview attracted my attention which is why I'm saluting you. It was not the least disappointing. So happy to work with your calming voice to prompt harder attempts. When it was over, I felt energetic like younger days. Thank you.

    Thank you. It worked each time I did this before my long walks. All my muscles seemed well prepped and relaxed. I felt so much ease. No stiffness and heaviness.
    Had no idea I held so much tension in my body that my muscles and joints were so tight. Shared with my walking buddies as well. Well done👏👏👏

    My husband and I just completed our first chair Pilates for seniors. My husband has multiple sclerosis and has been in a power chair for six years. This is the first time we were able to exercise together. YOU made that possible!! Thank you so very much!❤

    I am 30 years old with limited capabilites to a bad heatstroke injury and I have recently been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos. I used to be very proficient with my workouts before. Now I thought I wouldn't be able to find an exercise that i could do without aggravating my injuries and conditions.
    My wife suggested looking into chair yoga and this is the first video I found. I can't tell you how relieved I am to have this. Thank you so much for these chair exercises. They are wonderful!

    Love the Pilates!! Finding that my core strength is improving and flexibility is improving as well. I was diagnosed with PD 2 years ago and was a marathon runner after age 65. I am now as 78 and embracing any and all exercise programs so graciously offered. Thank you for the inspiration you’ve provided to keep moving 👍👍❤️

    Wow! I just discovered this video today and did it; it's fantastic for strengthening and tightening abs, glutes, and thighs. I'm a very fit 73 year old woman who's always told I look 2 decades younger. I'll do this video often each week and interchange with online chair yoga classes which I do to relieve joint pain and to prep for playing tennis twice a week. Thanks, I love this class.

    I LOVE this routine! I have been doing your seated yoga and pilates workouts for months and looking forward to them everyday. I was so happy to see a new one, and this pilates routine makes me feel like I’m working so hard. I’ll be 69 in February and it’s the first time I’ve ever truly enjoyed working out.     Thank you so much it was wonderful. I just learned yesterday that I have osteopenia ,. I do exercise and a few other things or I end up in a wheelchair. I turned 80 last week. I KNOW for certain I don’t want that. A very good friend recommended your program. We have agreed to a 30 day challenge ! Looking forward to 30 days and beyond‼️Again thank you.

I discovered you during my breast cancer journey. I look forward to doing more of your workouts! I'm normally a very active 76 year old.     I am so glad I found your videos today. I am almost 80 and was diagnosed with permanent AFib 18 months ago. I was quite active before the AFib, exercising has since been difficult and stairs and inclines are a problem for me. However, I managed to follow your exercises this evening without too much difficulty, I’m sure I will be able to execute them a lot better with practice and will certainly make this a daily routine in the hope of getting some fitness back.     Enjoy your workouts so much. Lots of variety and can be done at home consistently. I am 69 years old and have 3 joint replacements due to osteo-arthritis. The most recent was 8 wks ago. Your workouts helped before surgery and after, so that I completed PT in 5 wks. Keep them coming!!

    Have never done pilates before and now have to start with bed/chair exercises to build up strength. I have osteoarthritis, hypermobility and fibromyalgia. This was just right for my ability. Thank you 😊

    Just got finished with this work out. I’m 72 and have neck, back and hip pain. I was able to do everything without much issue. I have been searching for something I could do at home. This is perfect. It’s calming, energizing and doesn’t hurt. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. I really enjoyed it.
