    Trying the PSVR2 with the Logitech G Pro wheel and Fanatec GT DD Pro to see what immersive difference these 2 wheels bring to Gran Turismo 7 - and to be honest they are very similar but Logitech G Pro for me just gives that extra with the TrueForce. What do you think?

    IMPORTANT THING that most GT7 VR players dont know is - for anyone wondering how to adjust the in game wheel to be higher or lower, or away from you (the driver), or closer to you, simply lower your head (while you have the psvr2 headset on) and keep pressed the option button if you want the wheel to be higher, raise the head+hold the option button if you want the wheel to be lower. Lean/move your body toward the wheel and keep pressed the option button if you want the in game wheel to be further from you, move away from the wheel+hold on the option button if you want the ingame wheel to be closer to you. So, play around a few times until you get the desired position.

    I'll never understand why people go "I've turned off trueforce to make a closer comparison"
    You're not reviewing the internal components. You're reviewing two wheels to see which one is the best. If one has extra bells and whistles, review them with the features. They could be good or bad.
    It's like saying "I'm reviewing a fiat 500 vs lambo at nurburgring, but only going 160kph as thats the fastest the fiat can go, for a close comparison"

    @GeekStreet I have purchased the Fanatec GT DD Pro and I'd like to use it with the PSVR2 Headset, but it seems they both need a USB C Connection and there is only one port on the front of the PS5. I know the PSVR2 has to be connected in to the USB C on the front because of its integreation with the onboard Video Card, will a adapter USB A 2.0 to USB C 3.1 adapter work for the Fanatec GT DD Pro? I've seen videos of people showing off the VR in game and the features of the wheel, but not on how to set all of this up. Could you explain how you did it? Thanks for your hard work!

    I would love to try the Logitech DD. I’m just too invested in the fanatec ecosystem. I have 3 different wheel aside from the GT one (which is meh) my main wheel is the uni hub v2 with a turn racing R305 racing rim. There’s three different pedal options which are all loadcell. It’s rather a huge shame that the Logitech wheel doesn’t even ship with the high end loadcell pedals which are like another 350 on top of the 1k for the wheelbase itself. My whole setup was 3.5k but that’s also including several upgrades like other wheels and a loadcell and a buttkicker gamer pro an of course the 4K 120hz hdmi audio extractor for use on a PS5. Where someone to want the same setup but with the Logitech gear they’d be looking at at least 4.5k maybe even 5k which is pretty ridiculous on a console setup. The plastic construction and the cheap looking wheel doesn’t make me want to try and drop 1300 on a whole other wheelbase and pedals.

    • @cupofjoe6489
      @cupofjoe6489 Год назад +1

      This makes total sense, seeing as Logitech's more popular wheels are the lower end G29 which don't require a base. Fanatec wheels are built entirely around that design and compatible with many more parts, so you have more flexibility+options when it comes to customizing your set up.
      Logitech doesn't expect to move many of those wheels per year and it costs them more than Fanatec because it's a specialized product for Logitech. So I'm guessing the higher price tag helps guarantee decent profits despite not selling many units.

I recently created a thread about such a dilema on trying to determine what approach for wheel/pedals "really" will give the best experience and performance, yet take note of any compatibility or operational quirks PC based hardware with adapters may bring. The truth is NONE of the Sim channels have "really" covered this from a PS5 or GT7 perspective.
      Example: Can I use a popular brand DD wheelbase with whatever rims I want but also use whatever pedals I want with an adapter solution.
      If so, what are the issues or limitations, can other shifters/handbrake also be added and if we take into account all the pros/cons. In the end are we still better getting the G Pro and wait for them to release new PRO rims or shifter options.

    Currently use a T300RS, Heusinkveld Sprints, Aiologs shifter and handbrake, along with a drivehub on PS5 for GT7 and PSVR2.
    Can anyone confirm if I swapped out my T300 RS for this G Pro wheel (Playstation version) that the pedals, shifter, handbrake will all still be compatible??? I can't see why not as I'd have thought the wheelbase would just act as a pass through in/out of the drivehub , same as my T300 RS. Don't want the hassle of buying it to find out it won't!! Just want to make sure it will work natively with the Trueforce etc.

    GT7 users experimenting with this configuration could also consider adding a buttkicker or other bass transducer to their rig. Either will require a connection via ethernet to a PC to interact with the Sim Racing Studio app. SRS can collect telemetry data from GT7 (by IP) to generate tactile feedback. Although subtle as compared to other games on PC, it is still enough to further the immersion and can help overcome motion sickness.

    That cockpit video is what I want to see. I don’t know about the price though. £529 is pretty high for something unfold-able. The PlayStation 5 with the PSVR2, the Logitech PRO wheel and foot pedals and with that Logitech cockpit is going to be over three grand, and that’s not including the TV. 🤔 in the current economic climate I don’t thing many people are going to pull the trigger on a setup like this.

    • @sonyx5332
      @sonyx5332 Год назад

      I just saw the price of that cockpit and it is insane they're charging that price for something that looks like it cost $200. I wouldn't waste my money on it and would much rather save a little more to buy the better looking TR8 PRO if I needed or wanted a tubing cockpit. My original plan was to get the TR8 PRO but ended up buying the Sim-Lab TR1 cockpit instead when they had a discount going on around June/July of 2022.
      I have the Logitech G29 and bought a GT3 carbon fiber wheel for it from Etsy which is lighter than the original wheel and the FFB feels better due to that. Also bought some kit to have the pedals inverted and the TrueBrake kit for the brake pedal. I won't be buying any new racing wheel anytime soon since I also use this one for older consoles and arcade games. 👍🏼

It’s 2023, you can pretty much have accessible to 4k console gaming any day and pretty accessible considering the value it offers with a nice display (e.g. C1, C2). And now we’re getting close to having a stunning psvr2 title like this game so balanced and optimized into a seamless virtual reality in which you can feel exactly inside of a sports car going insanely fast feeling like in that cockpit..
      The amount you pay still feels accessible considering the value of entertainment you get.

    This was *really* helpful - thank you for keeping it short and factual. I currently have a T300RS and Next Level F GT Lite and after getting a PS-VR2 I wanted to upgrade immediately as the T300RS in GT7 has almost non-existent FFB. After loads of YT vids and reading reviews (and finally watching this) I've decided the G Pro and the Trophy are what I will purchase.
    A bit disappointed I can't use my modded Th8a shifter but knowing Logitech they will release a decent (read expensive) shifter. As for wheels they are almost certainly working on an F1 wheel given the Lando Norris promotion, possibly even McLaren branded, so I'm happy to wait. Apart from the extra 3nm another decider is that the GT DD Pro wheel is just so fugly whereas I adore the look of the G Pro - plus their support is miles better than Fanatec.
    Just one question for you - I know Logitech and Playseat say the Trophy is built for DD wheels but are you finding any flex when using the G Pro with Trueforce on or is pretty much rock-solid?

      It helps, but I’m sure it’s not exactly the same. I haven’t tried either tho, so can’t really speak on the subject

      @@ploppen3872 it's effectively identical. same tech. some games one feels better and some games worse. I've had about 35-40 ppl test them and whichever they used first always ends up being their favorite.

      It's not the same. I own both. The one is working with transducers or so called basshaker. The other one is a different method.
