      I think you said that the ‘Best Wheel’ was the Logitech G Pro wheel because of the True Force feature. However, I believe that Fanatec has some wheels (like the Formula V2.5 & V2.5X) that include vibration motors to make up to a similar feature.

    I haven't tried a Fanatec system but the G pro wheel/pedals are great.
    I was looking at Fanatec but after converting the costs to my currency, taxes/import fee's and delivery charges it was too expensive for me. I bought the G Pro wheel / pedal combo that was offered.
    Coming from a G29 it's a massive upgrade. No regrets.
    My son has the G29 now. It's six years old and still works fine. Hope the quality continues.

      I also went with the Logitech. It's my first dd wheel and couldn't be happier. The true force is terrible though. I'm really shocked that so many reviewers keep saying that it's a game changer. It feels weird and unnatural. It really just gets in the way of the rest of the ffb outputs. Please stop calling it a game changer. The only thing that changes is that I turn it off. As for price , none of the reviewers tell anyone that if you buy the wheel and pedals together, you get a discount on the pedals. They're discounted by 90 something US dollars. I'm happy with my purchase. I've been using Logitech since the 2000s so I'm sure I'm biased, but I wanted something that I knew would just work. My G25 and G29 put in a lot of work without any issues and would still be chopping away if they weren't in the closet now. I'm hoping I get the same from the pro.

    I really wanted to grab a GT kit from Fanatec but I struggled to catch any stock for like a year. I only recently discovered Logitech had a new DD wheel out and through it was about 400 bucks more expensive, I picked one up to FINALLY replace my old G29. They are readily available direct from Logitech, which is incredibly refreshing.
    I figured the Logitech would just be cost premium over Fanatec because of the branding but it's legit as far as build quality. The pedal base and setup + the default wheel are so much better than I expected and IMO look better than the Fanatec. The GT wheel from Fanatec looks like some fisher price toy, and the Logitech wheel shifters are scores better. A shame I still have to use the awful G29 manual shifter though, that thing is hot garbage.
    Mostly though I like that I can adjust FF settings without having to go into the game settings or ghub. Truforce is better, but I only ever leave it set to about 5 / 100.

      Clipping is not related to the total force of the base. It is related to the ammount of FFB the game sends to the base. Wheel bases must be set at maximum ffb level to obtain best response. You have to set ingame ffb to not reach clipping.

    Having owned the Csl Dd 8nm, with v3 pedals for over a year. It is a solid setup. I now have the logitech Dd too. My preference is Def the logitech in terms of ffb. The wheel on the logitech itself is okay but not my favourite so hoping more options come. Having said that the fanatec gt7 wheel is terrible, so had to buy a new wheel which is a lot better for sure and many fanatec wheels are nicer than logitechs wheel itself. V3 pedals may have the slight edge over logitech pedals but not by much as do like the logitech pedals too. So in summary I think the logitech is better out the box by a fair margin and has more potential for new wheel etc. But fanatec have more options atm and is more compact. Both are great!

I know exactly where the limit is for the tyres thanks to true force. Playseat Trophy - Logitech G Edition...this thing is sturdy and doesnt rock left and right and all over like what is shown in the video. But I can tell you, i got the Logitech DD Pro for not wanting to wait....this is the sweetest experience I have had in a racing wheel. I am so satisfied with its performance that i would go as far as to say, that if this is your first wheel or even your first in its price range...there is no way you could be disappointed. It made me add VR2 for GT7, and I tell you, this is like taking a vacation from your world and transporting you to a real life like race situation. I have both. The DD pro's wheel is cheap and you notice that after hours of racing. The steering wheel lining crumbles and I am already working on my second wheel but it is just as bad. And the aftermarked sale is not their best side either.
    The Logitech base is big but it doesn't bother me. The pedals are good, the steering wheel is good and the treuforce also works well with the FFB. And the compability with non-racing games is also fine. Just try to get the DDpro decent with Snowrunner, it won't work because the screen keeps spinning.
    I am now happily playing with the Logitech and am going to sell the DD pro. Hopefully Logitech will come out with a formula wheel soon.

    I am in a predicament where I feel like my logical step would be to go Fanatec as I already am using a mash up of Fanatec V3 Pedals, Fanatec Shifter, but a rather old school Thrustmaster T500RS wheelbase with all of it's belt driven notchiness. So I should probably get a fanatec DD wheelbase and wheel. That way I could just plug all my gear into the wheelbase and only have to worry about the single connection to my PC for my regualr sim mracing titles (AC, ACC and Automobilista 2)however I do plan on getting a Ps5 for gran turismo 7 also which is the next part of my predicament.
    I hate dealing with Fanatec when things go wrong, and it takes ever so long to get the products I want from them in my country. And they really do love to hammer the absolute crap out of us with shipping costs. I really love my H-shifter and the V3 Fanatec pedals are just much better pedals in general than the ones Logitech provide according to most reviewers I have checked out.
    So switching to Logitech I would lose the shifter and have to solely use paddle shifters on GT7 which takes a lot away from the experience if you are driving cars that have H-Shifter in real life (which I just have always found much more fun to drive with)
    So I dunno, If Logitech brought out a really nice H-Shifter then I would probably be like f*ck it, sell all my gear and just go all out Logitech because that Trueforce really does sound like a game changer according to all the reviews I have seen.
    but right now, it does seem that for me and my current situation, Fanatec would make the most sense and it kinda pains me.

    The shifter has a common mis shifter problem.
    The load cell pedal stop working after 9 months.
    Updated:
    Both shifter and load cell pedal went back to Fanatec for repair and working at the moment.
    Now the Wheel starting to have problem with PS5, which will disconnect very freqrently. Sometime every 2 seconds. I have done the fanatec 're-seating' as per their video but same problem would still occur.

    3 is consistent.

    Can we emulate the TrueForce experience just by adjusting settings on the Fanatec? or what kind of changes does the true force does? more power? more level of detail? what really means to activate true force? (please do not answer just because it feels better... I don't know what means that)

    • @GeekStreet

      I'd describe trueforce as more detail, and more coming though in vibration. If you had a simcockpit you could feel this vibrations in the frame.

    • @Typhoon_Kill
      @Typhoon_Kill Месяц назад +1

      You can not recreate adjusting settings on Fanatec. Trueforce has 2 components: 1 is in super granular high frequency oscilations in wheel rotation forces and 2 is just a vibrator that makes the whole thing vibrate. The first one gives road texture feedback (imagine the feeling of stones on gravel roads making the steering slightly vibrate left right, or in iracing when you lose grip on the tires and they start 'skipping' there is a distinct feedback you feel) and the second "ambiental" vibrations like you get in the real car when you rev the engine and the whole car vibrates. This information needs a high frequency data input and motor capable to reproduce it (higher than conventional DD FFB motors have). That's why you need the simulator to also provide the Trueforce compatibility and correct detailed data. I have the Logi DD Pro and Trueforce is indeed a gamechanger in immersion, it s like going from black and white TV to a color TV.

    I prefer the logitech and I'll let you know why. Having previously owned a simucibe Pro 2 I always found 14nm was my preferred strength. I would turn down the ffb in games as it would be to strong at that nm. However the dynamic range was just better, like weight transfer etc. Also having owned in the past a csl dd, I liked it but found the 8nm to low comparing to the sc2 Pro. Maybe not a fair comparison. Now going on to the logitech that I currently have. I like my bumps to be more dampaned so always ran every base with high filters to make the bumps less abrupt but would also lose some effects as a downside. What I have found logitech does super well is have that filtered feeling by changing settings and then with true force, having the nice bumps too. So after some testing I actually prefer the logitech over the sc2, which Iam surprised about as I thought it would be more on par with a csl dd. Using 2 feet allows you to reach faster laptimes and a state of "dancing" with the car that one foot driving does not allow. I experienced 2 feet driving at a local kart place and man it felt SOOO GOOD, the rotation you could give to the car and control is insane. These two systems are not remotely comparable price wise. My CSL DD was $700 shipped to me and I bought a $200 set of V2 pedals off ebay in perfect condition. (they are all metal so obviously not gonna be damaged) Total was $950. Less than what just the Logitech wheel and base costs. Even if I went with the V3s, it would still be $250 cheaper and the V3s are some of the best pedals out there.
    Logitech DOES NOT have a decent shifter,, nor do they have a handbrake, nor do they have dozens of wheels to choose from. You will get bored with the setup pretty quick. Most of use have several wheels, a shifter and a handbrake. Hell, Thrustmaster at least has a good shifter, a great handbrake, many wheels and a decent set of pedals (a few of them, actually).
    It is great Logitech makes this wheel but it is about $300 above the price it should be and the pedals are probably a good $100 more than they should be.

    I have the G Pro for PS5 and I think it's really good - HOWEVER, it's getting closer to Forza 8 release and we still haven't had a single word about a replacement wheel for it! I plan to play that on Xbox. I tried to talk to Logitech on several occasions but they show absolutely no interest in easing this issue. They won't even confirm it will be more wheels as of end of March 2023. This is insane if you ask me and I'm gonna jump to Fanatec if nothing happens this spring. I would assume they would release a McLaren F1 wheel due to their collaboration but not a single word there either. Frustrating Logitech, frustrating. This on top of super poor customer support, and straight up lies about their delivery date on page.

    Hey dude, like I H-H-HATE using damper on wheels as you tend to lose surface details of the road but your wheels are oscillating to such a CRAZY extent 😂😂😂 you gotta chill out! Try using a bit of damper to smoothen out the FFB, that can't be good for the shafts on the wheel.

    Pondering between these two. GT DD Pro has a better wheel rotation (Euro Truck Simulator 2) and is more compact for my temporary simrig solution (Playseat Challenge). G Pro has TrueForce and larger wheel size and is more easily available. Many of the racing games I play supports TrueForce, on both PC and PS5.

      @@hoihoi13 It does cost 849€ in my country also. Way expensive. I haven't really stress tested it and only used it with GT7. I'm using around 60-70 % torque and have not noticed it to lose power with these settings. I should try some other games too to know how much force experience depends on the wheel and how much it is about the game. If I would have had a working setup, I would have preferred to wait for the Fanatec. Anyway, I've had fun, won races, got near a world record lap time with GT-II and I'm far from a good driver. And I don't think a DD wheel would make me much faster, but it might feel more authentic, who knows.

    • @blackbarett6632
      @blackbarett6632 2 года назад +1

      You are not.
      The plastic quick release can handle the 8nm of torque.
      You need a metal quick release for the more powerful wheelbases like the DD1.

    • @sparklejess8003
      @sparklejess8003 Год назад

      8nm is doable with the plastic quick release. Something I noticed between plastic vs there metal quick release, is you lose some fidelity of feeling small ffb effects being more pronounced. Making a metal QR def the better choice.

    In my opinion the Fanatec looks better (apart from the pedals) but the Pro Wheel is a Logitech, so there's no issue about compatibility, unlike Fanatac.
