why dont you talk about all the cheaters in the game that use ESP... that should be in the video at the very bottom, oh wait because sell out.
"Just spawn AA" isn't a thing about respawning when you have low SP, but CAS players saying it when they kill your MBT from orbit, because AA is the only thing that "can" counter them.
Tho then AA gets targeted by CAS with 13KM range missles, and can't do anything, but lets just ignore that right Gaijin? :)

I've had someone in chat actually say 'holy shit a Surblinde' when I pulled it out once. Unfortunately I use it more as hangar decoration than a combat machine these days.

I didn’t even notice White Rock Fortress and Red Desert got removed from rotation until you mentioned it rn. I haven’t seen those maps in a bit.
I got Red Desert like 2 or 3 weeks ago, but it was about a 4-6 month period between the last time I got it, Dunno where WRF went tho, *hopefully* they'll make it better.

Red desert wasn’t removed, you can only get it 9.7 and above.
Just a bit of clarification about the Free Abrams thing.
It wasn't people asking Sean for free things.
It was because there was a pretty massive movement on the forums and reddit to get Gaijin to either lower the cost to research parts and FPE or to remove them as researchable modules completely (thus giving them for free) and it was basically just people spamming the Devs about "Free FPE and Parts!" in every venue they could.
And during Sean's stream they kept doing that in chat and him being woefully disconnected from the grind of the game (being a content creator actually working for Gaijin and thus being able to just have everything spaded all the time without grinding) and also biting into the company line quite hard, he got really upset about that and basically called everyone spoiled little children and said "Free FPE and Parts, Free FPE and Parts, why don't we just give everyone a Free Abrams while we're at it!?".
You know... because he was a twat.
(Sorry about that last part, but he really was. It was essentially the "let them eat cake" version for WarThunder.)

Yes and the aftermath I'm not so sure what happened to Sean, but the Parts and FPE became "cheaper" than other modification RP costs, and they are selected as top priority default pick for vehicle modification order.
Back then, all FPE and Parts had to be selected MANUALLY after purchuasing the vehicle (The default was Tracks as it was on the very top left corner of the list), and they costed just like any other modifications!

In my time of doing 7.7, the only time i ever see an E-100 is when i take my own out to battle lol. I can also testify the E-100 has a hidden stat gaijin never posted. It comes with a 15% buff to teamwork haha
The E-100 side skirts are better than the Maus's side armor until they break because of volumetric. They can stop APFSDS at 45 degrees.
i met a e-100 once and i couldnt pen it at all due to having stock heat shells only. there was no way for me to kill it at all lmao
Just after 10th anniversary i saw E-100 3 games in a row, i have never been so lucky

i think the funniest part about the leaked documents is the fact that the chinese one for a new apfsds round was actually worse than most of the current apfsds shells the nation currently has in game. so that person leaked documents for a shell that wouldn't have helped the nation at all
...meaning the current shells implemented in the game were hilariously overpowered relative to what China actually uses.
@@CyberneticArgumentCreator yes, but you can't tell Gaijin that. Because China and Russia are "balanced". I mean look at the T-72 Sweden got and the Leapord 2A4 right above it in the tech tree. The T-72 supposedly has better rounds than the tank that it progresses into, and more modifications to boot.

23:40 the e-100 is not regularly sold at all. I dont think one has traded hands since 2019 and before that they were still EXTREAMLY rare on the market place.
I didnt realize they removed white rock fortress, it's too bad, I love that map.
I actually really liked that map at mid/low tiers. Needed work on the spawncamping though.

A little extra for the free abrams part, it went downhill very fast for gaijin as they began to disable comments and dislike button on their channel. They then got BVVDs (lead dev) brother for a "apology video" where he tried to explain why the playerbase was wrong (he looked like he was at gunpoint from Anton and Kirill). Eventually after tonnes of backlash from CC and posts they decided to lower the RP a little for FPE and parts, but still held their original stance. Shaun was also seen a lot less, in fact I think he is only used for voicing some videos or dev steamers as a translator at most before they replaced him and Bruce with the new guy.
And they didnt even thought about lowering thé boats parts and fpe

He didn’t mention Bruce was taken off due to voicing Russian propaganda and justifications of the invasion of Ukraine. And holding the political stance that they were right in doing so.

It’s like getting annoyed that a US TV show host said favorable things about the Vietnam War.
Also the new narrator that they’ve replaced him with has a voice that sounds like the average war thunder player (i.e., an autistic 14 year old)

All of Japan is lacking armor, and the type 74 just feel like a Leo 1 with engaged handbrake but they have some cool tanks in the line, just bought the 2 type 90 and they are so nice with the 4sec autoloader, worth the grind imho
The way I see it, Sim mode IS the game. Arcade and Realistic are just practice modes to get players up to snuff. I wish they didn't bury it beneath the lobby UI. I feel like more folks might be inclined to play it, and then maybe the matchmaker will find me someone to play with this Christmas.
WOO! Once again, firmly entrenched at the bottom of that iceberg as an Italy main! I swear, I will spade every single vehicle in their air and ground tech trees eventually. Once I get the VBC out of the way, it's on to my first Ariete.
I'll add this slight correction about the Ho229 statement.
By the time the war ended the prototype has been somewhat tested by the germans and there are records of it performing against other german aircraft like the 262 and so on. It was mostly plagued by mechanical problems that were around every other german machine so that wouldn't reflect on the gameplay. Later it is believed that allies did extensive testing with it so it was very much a real war machine that just didn't make it into production and therefore the combat. At worst I can see it being added as a premium nowdays.
Dying to one of the removed tanks (except the maus) is one of the few times I'm never annoyed I died because I know the player who has them is almost certainly much better than I am because of how long they will have been playing
One thing that could be on the list.
There was a time, when you could knockout tank crew and the tank didn't explode, so while playing Sim Battle it was common to see tank on you right, get a panic attack to realise it was wreckage that wasn't destroyed by explosion etc.
I've got the feeling, that overpressure has been tweaked (nerfed) recently. What used to be an instakill by the Brummbär on KV-1s is now doing nothing but a "hit", with a bit of luck a damaged gun barrel or tracks. Also bombs, if not landing just right next to the tank, now tend to only cause damage to tracks, gun barrels and sometimes engine and/or gearbox but the crew is intact, at least in my experience with heavy tanks. First noticed this when the Strumtiger has been released...

With the Kugleblitz, and the change to the German AA tech tree, I can actually provide some information.
Back in the day, when Ground Forces was in testing, Germany only had a single AA vehicle. That being the panzer 1 chassis with the AA gun on it. At the time, a user by the name of Katyusha, proposed an entire technical tree for the German AA. The user didn't just say "do this this and this" but actually provided information on everything. From the vehicle's build dates, how many were built, if they actually saw combat, and so on. This included the Panther Coellian, which even then Katyusha noted was a 'paper' plan, but that they couldn't really find anything that fit otherwise.
Gaijin in turn took what Katyusha had proposed, and working with them, implemented it. All the way up to the Kugelblitz. They actually brought them on as an advisor of sorts, working directly with the developers to hash out the details of the old german AA line, strengths, and weaknesses.
Interestingly, there was one other proposed vehicle, which didn't get very far in the development phase. The developers loved the idea, but at the time, the game technology wasn't such to make the vehicle actually work. That vehicle was the "Flak Maus." The FM was proposed to have a pair of long barreled .88 mm guns in the turret, with the ability to elevate almost to a 90 degree altitude. Ideally, the gun would have had used only shrapnel rounds, with the research being first a 'timed' round, and then later a proximity fused round. However like I said, at the time, the game technology wasn't there to make it happen. There was also a fear of players using the then 'top tier' AA gun to fight tanks, which wasn't in line with what Gaijin wanted at the time.
As thanks for the information, Gaijin hired Katyusha as one of their technical moderators, and modified their account, unlocking every single vehicle in the German AA line that Katyusha had proposed.

Ground arcade is nice, I think it’s fun and kinda like a zombies mode and the boosters are helpful for the grind
I played 3.3 br and got 14 kills 0 deaths 2500 spawn points 😊
About the D point: it was a funny event in some map back right after the beta endend in 2014. A never-seen-after JU-52 transport plane would spawn and crash leaving some documents behind that became the dinamic created D point. If you captured it, it dissappeared and it ate a chunk from the enemy red bar. It made possible to overturn 100% lost battles, it was pretty fun to sometime make a last do-or-die cavalry charge.
There is a tournament called air gladiators 4v4 where there actually is a D point at a sertain stage of the tournament too
Kinda wish you talked about AI in ground battles on maps like carpathians and jungle, maps being reworked like volo or kursk or gaijin removed dead tanks from places like berlin, the removed "break" game mode (throwback), bomb targets in ground rb, and I guess for a more general war thunder iceberg, the war thunder assistant app that had gambling among other things. and OF COURSE war thunders brief "battle royale" mode. There was more I thought to add but I can't seem to remember
About the removed french tanks
The Ha-Go was also removed
Little thing about the nukes in Arcade, they begin at 6.0 in arcade (so a 5.0 in a full uptier can drop a nuke) And the very maximum kills required is 15 not 20, although this has to be done without calling in any other aircraft, and is only available when planes are the call ins so if you get 15 kills without calling in a aircraft but the call ins are helis then no nuke, back to the maximum kills needed being 15 tho you can get nukes with less than 15 kills(I have a few examples on my channel) and I believe this is to due to how much you're being a team player so capping points and assists as well but the lowest I've ever managed off the top of my head was 12 kills and still getting the nuke as for every kill you get a point and you need 15 a kill is always going to give a point, and throughout the game in arcade you'll sometimes get what I call gimme/freebie points, and also in arcade if you call in the nuke even if the tickets bleed completely for one team the match doesn't end till you drop the nuke!
I'm also remembering that Carpathians used to have AI tanks in the north, the same map would've also had the plane that would drop something, and it would turn into the D point. Barrage balloons on Normandy would give points too back then and would count as an air kill IIRC. There was also this removed game mode for ground forces, I forgot the name, but it was kinda like a weird Rush gamemode from battlefield.
You forgot the ai tanks that you can kill to get points during AB matches back in the day, and the balloons on Normandy that you can machine gun to get points
Played Red Desert last week, but very rare but yes, White Rock, didn't even realize it. They can get rid of Mozdok at any time...

Teammates are the kind of enemies in this game, that you should'nt kill.
I haven’t finished the video but at around 17:40, Gaijin like you said has had a habit of removing maps to rework them and then rerelease them but that’s not all, gaijin has had a habit of just putting them out of rotation and then bring them back a couple of patches later with a new rotation of maps. Recently we’ve been getting a bit of the italy map and ash river and I do not remember seeing them for a while a few months back. So gaijin either removes them temporarily from the pool or just lower the chances significantly for players to see. You are probably right about white rock fortress getting a rework but I just wanted to also point out this bit of information as well.
been playing for 3-4 years and have only ever seen on E-100 in a kill feed, never seen one alive ina match.
*Raises up hand slowly* I like Italy tanks. And love the PSO....the wheeled vehicles make me want to rip my hair out at times(Cen-105R).... but other times i have a blast with them.
Italy reserve tanks suck ass and the French ones are better change my mind

Just started a few weeks ago and Italian tanks were my first choice, I kinda left that grind to grind laterally but I'm back on it and the 2.7/3.0 Rank II grind is pretty tough, just waiting for the Turan III rn
yeah the removed french tanks are in the tech tree just they are above the reserve tier vehicles and are available for research.
I'm so surprised by the italy one ! It's funny to me because it has been my absolute favorite tech tree to grind through ! All their vehicls have a ton of personnality, and at top tier they have a fairly decent linup, the centauro is an absolute favorite, the Dardo is a very capable and nimble IFV and the Ariete is honestly average as an MBT but you just have the tank to rule them all, the best one, the OTOMATIC !!! This is the ultimate reason why you never see the Ariete XD
They did give out "free abrams". It was a pack where it was $50 of ge and a xm1 for $50

I think you missed something very important: uptiers. I have over 3000 Ground RB battles (most of which are as Germany), but out of all of them, I have been majorly uptiered all but maybe 20-50 times, downtiered maybe 5 of those... I main Germany, but I can never do well because I'm always completely out of my performance class. People say that Panthers (5.3-6.0 BR) are overpowered, but that's not the case when you only go against 6.7-7.0 BR vehicles. I don't know why I get uptiered so often, but it is definitely unacceptable. If there's a way to decrease your chances of an uptier, could you please make a video on it?
I’m still depressed about white rock. It’s an amazing map and way better than at least half of the maps in the game.
It was only good when both teams were full of casual players "just having fun". If you had 1 or 2 people who knew the perfect rollout and early game spot to take with the correct vehicles, the game was literally over. A BMP at that bridge part could kill the entire team as they left base on half the map from out of line of sight.
It would be cool for War Thunder to launch a tools to see how rare vehicles are based on how much player base proportion have them.
I always have the view of content creator/partner of any games to be disconnected in the community because they get everything for free and don't need to grind anything.

For those who couldn't figure this one out, it's referring to the Swedish name for tanks (Stridsvagn) and how some people add in an e in the pronunciation when trying to say the word in English.

Should have added GF map design to the list. I really find the maps in WT to be overall bad. Like if i did a tier list it would be 1 or 2 maps at B tier and the rest at C and below.
But also how different the opinions are on maps personally im not a big fan of city maps(maybe has to do with like its 20 of them with maps that are heavily focused around a town like certain versions of Hürtgen forest.) but some people love them.
for personally the city maps really dont play that different for each other and how it kinda makes armor a bit useless when everybody fights at point blank instead. Is not that mind CQC but i feel maps are way to focused on that type of engagement distance while i personally want maps more focused on realistic combat ranges for their tier. for example i like red desert i like how big it is and still allow for alot of sightlines that doesnt dominate the map and the amount of different routes you can take to get into position.
Potato tanks were probably the most amusing dig at World of Tanks I've seen, though you forgot to mention that they had a health bar.

The only person I know who actively plays the E100 is Dollarplayz. But outside of his videos. Never came across one in the 4+ years I have been playing. But IS-7 I swear I get one almost every other match
As an italian main, im both sad and happy that Italy is on this list, we exist, but our population is just rare, even in lower tiers.
Foliage is a big problem especially in RB & Sim, not just because of the excessive use but also because they can be placed in spots where it would block driver & gunner sigts, i wish they limited it to just one piece of usable foliage & just placeable in certain spots.
SIM battles really aren't hard, idk why people think it would be. Yeah there's no nametag, but the teams are always the same so all you have to remember is what german and russian tanks look like (hint: they all look the same, from panzer 2 to tiger, panther to tiger 2, and t44 to t80BVM, they literally ALL look the same). That and common sense is basically 90% of the gamemode, other than that it's regular RB.
There are, in fact, nations in that mode other than Germany and Russia. Its that oversimplistic mindset that encourages teammates to kill French, British, Japanese, and (domestically produced) Italian tanks such as the Breda 501. It is a plague on the mode, and not knowing what all vehicles look like in a given matchmaking bracket is a quick ticket to ruin someone elses entire match while getting oneself banned from matchmaking for excessive teamkilling.

Hi tankenstein! I love the video, but I wanted to point out that new players can still play the french reserve tanks. My account is only about 2 years old but I can play them. All you have to do is reach rank 2 in the tree and the vehicles are instantly unlocked besides the AMC34 which needs to be researched
Real bottom of the iceberg: Ka50 first spawn with full loadout, IS6 pay2win spam , IS7 event, traction nerf, cas, ghost shells, selling high tier premiums, ghost nerfs/buffs Those are the top toxic things that ruined the game in some way and there is probably more.

I play Italy 🇮🇹 so I can't spawn with anti air, it was already my first choice at the start

i had red desert last time i played sim with the leo 2AV (around 2-3 weeks ago)
I was in a game about a week ago with a full 4 person squad of e100's. It was insane. I think that's the most e100's I've seen ever at once. Even with over 1400 hours in the game, I think I've seen less than 10 e100's during a game.
Also surprised you didn't mention anything at all about "America suffers".
Because they really do. I've spent over 1000 hours just playing americans and I've had such a shitty time playing them that it was literally torture. But I wanted to get a few top/mid tier tanks because they were cool (M1128, ADATS, HSTV-L). But the grind to top tier was unreasonably difficult. Like I'm not exaggerating, it was literally so bad that I had to quit for 3 years because of an extreme burn out of just constant loss after loss after loss after loss. America really does not get many good tanks throughout the tree, and has abysmally terrible mid tier jets. I've only had fun with a handful of tanks, and jets.
M41A1, T95, T32, M551, M247, LAV-AD, ADATS, M1128.
P-61C-1, P-47D-28 (before uptier), P-51 varients, AM-1, F-84G-21-RE, F-105D.
I think the biggest hurdles I had to get over was the M19A1 and the M42. Those SPAA are so dogshit that I ended up just buying gold and skipping the grind for the next tank, but only after suffering for 50 battles.. I only then just got enough to get the M42. And it was equally terrible. The shermans were not fun either. Literally everything can pen them, even the jumbo. With the severe BR compression, I'm going against tanks with 300mm+ of pen, either due to heat or whatever. And my god the missiles and shit I see at 6.0 is just so fucking bad, even to the point where the T95 isn't fun to play anymore because all it takes is 1 missile to incapacitate me for 30-40 seconds, which gives the enemy plenty of time to hit my blaringly massive weakspots on the front of the tank, which cannot do anything against heat.
And don't even get me started on american top tier tanks. The abrams are "good" but literally everything at that BR can just magically pen the turret so there is basically no reason to have any armor there. I am constantly dying to 1 shots, 2 max.
Now one could say that this is just a skill issue or something, but when I started playing germany and USSR, the entire game completely changed. I was getting constantly good vehicles from start to where I am now and my winrate and k/d ratio went up significantly. Yeah germany suffers a little, but it's pretty much only because literally everyone but me is playing scoped in at all times, it feels like. And USSR just constantly has good tanks throughout.
Like I said before, I've spent well over 1000 hours grinding america, but only took like 100-200 hours to grind literally halfway up the USSR and german tree each.
The entire US medium and heavy tree is .3 BR higher than it should be. The Abrams turret is hilariously under-armored. They incorrectly modeled the MBT-70 and XM-803 so that their armor doesn't stop contemporary rounds to the turret, upper, or lower plate. Literally nowhere. Sherman 76 at 5.7 above the IS-1 and next to the good panthers and the good tiger 1. Every heavy .3 BR higher than it needs to be. The freaking IS-3 is lower than the T32! In what world does that make sense?
Then you have the 10.0 Abrams missing its actual round of M833 that it had BEFORE the rounds other nations have at 9.7. You and I both could ramble on about it forever. It's egregious.
Yea, I have been despising the American grind thru low and mid tier. Anything Russian appears, it can pen me, but this also falls in line with me hating playing against Russia as a German main. The tanks that Russia has are hilariously powerful, having watched a single T-34 bounce shots from at least 5 tanks in the same amount of seconds, just charging down a wide open road.
Lots of stuff in the American tech tree is overtuned, 7.7 T32E1 anyone? That being said, at least you have a viable 11.0 AA and some benefits in mid tier such as the short-stop stab. Japan has none of those things in addition to often having worse armour, turret traverse and sometimes even firepower (Chi-nu v.s Panzer IV G or M4A1). Long story short = Germany and USSR gets their ass eaten out daily by Gaijin in ground forces.

i’ve played germany for about a year now got every tank and i always find my self in teams filled with leo 2 premiums and they always are 1 death leavers the struggle is real but when u have a good team germany is undefeated
E100 it’s not rarest. Rarest it’s soviet airacobra q15. It’s less than a 100 in game, most owners didn’t play game in years and it’s so obscure that people don’t even notice when it’s show up in battle. If you see it in battle it’s equivalent to see a unicorn irl.
I used to play war thunder when i was in midle school. I stoped playimg it 2 years ago and now I feel realy old simce I have seen all the changes you mentioned and I propably have a lot of the german and other countries vehicles that were removed. Ha, I'm the opposite with SPAA. I love to spawn SPAA, especially if I have one that fits the BR well. Absolutely hate CAS, so it can sometimes be more satisfying to drop a juicy cas player before they can accomplish much, than tanks.
they didn't remove french tanks, i got them less than a month ago while i was starting to farm the french tech tree
I don't think an iceberg should revolve around "A lot of people know about these tanks" but "A lot of people know this fact about the game that happens to involve these tanks." The tip of the War Thunder iceberg just being common tanks isn't really anything exclusive to war thunder, it's just tanks everyone knows.

I'm far from being experienced but I main Germany and sure, sometimes I get bat teams or just get bullied in matches but overall it's not too bad, When I play my USA tanks it's pretty much similar

I'd say the rarest vehicles are the content creator ones from the RUclipsr cup from a few years ago. Only a few people have them, which are Slickbee, Oxy, Oddbaws iirc there were some others i don't remember.
If you only count purchasable vehicles, the Surblinde is rarer than the E-100 and if you include planes, the He-162 with the 30mms.
Other rare vehicles are the ones that got removed many years ago, more specifically the Italian planes in the German TT and the super copy paste vehicles that were added just to get the Guinness record.
The decal size was capped because people were covering themselves with black decals to fool the enemy into thinking they were a destroyed tank.
Sturmtiger will be obtainable again in the future?
